Name: Johnny King
Nicknames: John (It's totally his real name okay). Does not appreciate any kind of cutesy nicknames like Johnnycakes.
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Birthday: November 25th
Sign: Capricorn
Gemstone: Topaz (November), Amethyst (Capricorn)
Blood Type: A
School: Sovereign Heights
Fav. Food: Johnny is a 1-part healthy, 9 parts sugar kind of guy. He has a huge sweet tooth, geared more towards sweets that require more than one bite than those you can stick in your mouth and suck on. His favourites include sherbets and milkshakes, but he'll even take sweet fruit whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Hated Food: Especially sour foods, notably pickles. There's something about the idea of eating limp, slightly crunchy cucumbers out of a jar that just weirds him out.
Hobbies: - Who Done It: Johnny loves mysteries with a passion. From old school Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, and Murder She Wrote to new mystery/dramas like CSI and Bones, if it's out there he's got it. He likes both television series and novels indiscriminately, and often times will have both the book and the episode for books-turned-television series like Hercule Poirot.
- The Great 80s: If one were to look in a locked cupboard at the bottom of his cabinet, one would find that Johnny has a rather embarrassingly large collection of 80s paraphernalia. From CDs claiming to be the "best of" to old movies to even a few records (not that he has anything to play them on), he's clearly got a little collection going on. It's very much his secret indulgence, only watching the movies late at night or listening to the music when he thinks no one is around to hear. Though he claims his interests are "purely academic", that definitely doesn't explain his little collection of Hana Barbera figurines.
- Editing Wikipedia: Johnny will spend endless hours in front of the computer correcting wikipedia articles on anything and everything he feels he knows something about. He has the library website as his homepage just to ensure that everything has a proper citation. If you didn't cite it, it is questionable and questionable is as good as wrong. (And there is just so much wrong in the world that needs correcting.)
- Scouting Out Sweet Shops: When a man has a craving, he needs his sugar now, and Johnny isn't about to take whatever candy just happens to be close around. He wants to know the locations of all the potential ice cream vendors, every fast food restaurant that has milk shakes, and everything has to be up to standard. If he wanted subpar sugar he'd go home and raid cupboards for a Poptart.
- Studying: One can never review one's notes too many times, right?
~ Virtues: You do know that you're missing a button, right? (Observant) -- Johnny is the type of person who notices the little details about people before he sees the bigger picture. If someone were to, say, walk into the room he would make note of a funny mannerism, a strange way of walking, or a particularly interesting button on their shirt before he actually looked at their face. With an exceptional memory for little details such as that, he very rarely forgets a person or an event and has excellent recall of the subject. In the academic world this helps him with simple memorization, but he prides himself on this ability because it helps him solve mysteries in television shows or in books.
Creative thinker -- Rarely approaching a problem from one angle, Johnny is systematic in his approach to solving things. Just because one method doesn't work doesn't mean he has to beat his head against the metaphorical brick wall until it gives. Instead, he "circles" round and round the problem, trying everything from different kinds of logic to the craziest ideas he can think of. He's not one to simply toss aside a method because it's outlandish; rather, as long as it's supported by some facts then he's willing to take it. Thus, Johnny can be highly creative when it comes to his simple deductive methods, using everything to his advantage in order to find the solution.
Devoted -- After problems with his parents on his career choice and his marks, Johnny has had multiple reasons to avoid making long-term bonds with anyone out of fear of disapproval. His teacher's approval and the subsequent change it had on his life helped convince him that some people are worth getting close to, and once you get that close you should give them your all. Thus, for those people who manage to become his friends, either by virtue of similar interests or by showing him some kind of unexpected kindness, Johnny becomes a very devoted friend. He'll willingly turn a blind eye to any kind of wrong doings (even the intellectual kind) done by his true friends in order to preserve the kind of relationship that he holds in very high esteem.
Ordered -- Everything has it's place in life, and it's generally the place that Johnny put it in. He compartmentalizes well, labeling and retaining large quantities of information for later use. Categories such as "school work", "things to avoid", and "useful facts told to me by stoned best friend" are all stored (alphabetically of course) in his head. Ask him where anything in his room is and he could tell you without even having to look for it. He even made up an ordered way of doing poorly on tests when he was younger in an effort to fit in with the "average" crowd.
Flaws: I get it, why can't you? (Intellectual Snob) -- Johnny has a huge 'holier than thou' complex, especially when it comes to dealing with what he terms "non-intellectuals." While he may tolerate being around such people, he has no patience for trying to explain things to them. He understands it, he had no trouble understanding it, so why can't other people? Johnny is the last person you'd want to go to if you needed help in the world of academia, being an absolutely abysmal teacher. Much like natural musicians have a hard time teaching children how to play instruments, he has the same problem with putting the concepts he understands into words. Thus, he is easily frustrated by people and has no sympathy for them when it comes to their schoolwork.
I definitely don't know him (Easily Embarrassed) -- Public image is very important to Johnny, and as a result he has a huge problem with being publically humiliated. Since he is striving for the approval of his academic peers and teachers, he tries extremely hard to avoid being associated with things that deviate from his 'perfect school boy' image. If, for example, someone asks him if that's his friend over there running around half-naked, he'll lie and say he doesn't know who they are. He has no trouble lying when it's easier, especially to save face. His parents are one of his biggest sources of embarrassment and as such he doesn't divulge their proper jobs or viewpoints to anyone. As far as the public is concerned, his family frequently travels, and as such they aren't around for any of his friends to meet them.
Failure is not a word in my vocabulary (Perfectionist) -- The fear of failing and having to return home to his parents gives him an almost compulsion to be right. He's not allowed to do poorly. Other people have leeway and can do badly on a few tests, but Johnny can not do anything worse than above average otherwise he is walking down the path to his defeat. Even if the world was falling down around him, Johnny would be busy studiously working on something until he managed to get it right. Failure is not an option.
Neither is fun (Workaholic)-- Johnny is the type of person who, if they had vacation hours, would use them to continue working on side projects rather than stopping and relaxing, Once he's got his mind set on something he will work himself to practically within an inch of death to finish it. Even when he doesn't have some mind-encompassing problem to work on he has a very hard time "letting his hair loose" as it were, with no time (and a very small amount of patience) for silliness. No, he doesn't want to hear about your weekend or your newest joke, he wants to work thank you very much. Interrupt at your own risk – or worse, touch anything he's working on; Johnny will have a meltdown of epic proportions.
Physical Description: Hair: As a child, Johnny frequently slicked his dark green hair back in order to look "cool." These days, he lets it do what it wants, keeping it just short enough that it won't interfere with his reading. It seems to have a bit of natural curl in it, though not enough to make it into nice ringlets. Eyes: Pale blue with very dark lashes. Johnny, despite not needing them, wears a pair of thick rimmed glasses to help with his image. With a name like Johnny King most people don't exactly expect someone from the world of academia. Face: Oval shaped with high cheek bones and a slight purpling beneath his eyes due to late nights. Of obvious Caucasian descent, though there's nothing about his features that would suggest any particular background. Body: Definitely on the lanky side from not eating as much as he should. Some of his high school, foot ball team built muscle remains, but since the only real activity he does these days is haul books, his muscle hasn't stayed. Fashion: Comfort over style, with an emphasis on very typical school boy clothes. Johnny likes appearing as an intellectual, and thus chooses clothing that he thinks fits the bill. His favourite outfits include button-up shirts, cheesy sweaters, straight legged pants, and a pair of very nice black shoes (which he shines often).

Previous Civilian Name: Akylas
Title: Laocoon, Parallel Cavalier of the Maze
Challenge: For the Prince/Get lost!
Weapon: Rapier, the Snare. When bonded to his partnered senshi, Laocoon's rapier the Snare causes those it wounds to feel trapped. It is almost as though invisible walls seem to be getting closer and closer, bringing with them feelings of panic and desperation. The effects are building, starting with edginess until they build into an unavoidable fear that results in a 'fight or flight' response. Those under the influence of the Snare may be quick to make rash decisions and quicker to run, unable to escape the nagging fear.
Hobbies: - Puzzles: From Sudoku to crosswords to word scrambles, Laocoon loves them all. He can frequently be found with a large booklet of them in hand, pen behind his ear, ready to start on a new puzzle at a moment's notice. It is rare that he shares his book of puzzles with others unless they've displayed an affinity for such things. He gets fidgety when watching someone else do them, often unable to stop himself from offering "advice" whenever he thinks someone is taking to long. For those who are as good as he is (or better), he willingly turns his puzzle book into a competition. He records wins and losses in the back in order to keep score between himself and his top competitors.
- Instrument Abuse: Laocoon will tell you that he's an accomplished musician who can play fourteen different instruments and is learning to play several more. His instruments, however, are already filing for a restraining order. The cavalier probably can't even play the washboard properly, but that doesn't stop him from trying. Currently he's learning to "master" the xylophone. There are hopes that his next instrument of choice is the triangle.
- 'Enlightenment': Hey, hey, did you know that Snape killed Dumbledore? Yeah that's right. And vampires aren't real. Plus, if they were real, they wouldn't sparkle. Laocoon enjoys "enlightening the world" as he calls it, and is just one of the many people who would drive by book stores and spoil the ending of perfectly good books. Hey, it's not his fault you haven't finished reading it yet!
Virtues: Observant -- Laocoon is a knower, and as such he likes taking note of everything he can. It's almost a game for him to see who out of his group of friends can pick up the kinds of things that he picks up from just a glance. See that lady over there who's walking weird? Ten bucks she totally just got her hip replaced. With an exceptional memory for little details such as that, he very rarely forgets a person or an event and has excellent recall of the subject. How useful it is depends on what kinds of things people want to know, but one thing can be certain: if Laocoon was there, he remembers.
Creatively eccentric -- You have to think outside the box, man! The self-proclaimed master of creative genius, Laocoon loves nothing more than testing out his elaborate schemes in an effort to see just how things work. He's more than willing to invite other people in to help him out (providing they're not going to ask stupid questions) and loves both his failures and his successes. Laocoon's frequent bizarre and unorthodox methods of solving things allows him to be highly creative, especially in battle, using everything to his advantage in order to find the solution.
Good sense of humour -- Always up for a good laugh, even at the expense of his own dignity, Laocoon loves to be entertained. From simple pranks to well-thought out practical jokes, he's cool with it all. Intellectual jokes are his favourite, but he'll even settle for some good, old-fashioned "why did the guardian cat cross the road." Because no matter how old it is, some jokes are just still that funny.
Devoted -- Family are the people who stick with you through thick and thin, regardless of whether they're related to you by blood. Laocoon is a strong believer that what the family does for you, you do for the family, in a very quid pro quo relationship. For those who get close enough to be in his inner circle he willingly gives them everything he has to help them succeed. He'll willingly turn a blind eye to any kind of wrong doings (even the intellectual kind) done by his true friends in order to preserve the kind of relationship that he holds in very high esteem.
Flaws: It's elementary, my dear Watson (Intellectual Snob) -- Laocoon knows he's a natural smarticle. He's just one of the few people that were born smart and being around people who don't possess what he considers his 'superior intelligence' gives him twitches. He's the type to wonder aloud how people can go through life being so intellectually stunted and lament about the future of the world being placed in the hands of idiots. Yes, Laocoon thinks he's smarter than pretty much everyone, which is why he gets so easily frustrated when trying to explain "simple" concepts to others. Being unable to properly explain himself, he frequently just gives up, throws his arms up in a huff, and then stomps off to go console himself with a Sudoku puzzle.
Arguing for the sake of arguing (Devil's advocate) -- Some call it a bad habit, but for Laocoon it's more of a compulsion. In every discussion or argument, he feels the need to take the opposing side just for the sake of the argument. Nine times out of ten he doesn't honestly agree with the position he's taking, but he just can't help but do it to be contrary. He enjoys the thrill of the argument, even if he does lose, but fails to see the far-reaching consequences of his behaviour, i.e. the alienation of other people or the making of enemies because he just wants to be entertained.
Slow down! Turn left! (Backseat driver) – Make no mistake, Laocoon wants to be in charge. He enjoys having influence over people and bossing them around. He just knows there’s no chance in hell that he’d ever be awarded any kind of influence, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to make himself heard. It’s attention seeking at its finest (or perhaps at its worst), Laocoon frequently being overcritical and overbearing about all things cavalier-esque. Hector probably suffers the worst of it, especially since Laocoon feels that a little bit of strategy and logic never hurt a group of soldiers. Did you check the plans Hector? Twice? Three times? Well what about factoring in this? With very little wiggle room, he tends to focus on the little things, winning the battles and not the war so to speak. Things like sitting in the front seat, getting dibs on the last piece of cake, and being the first to try out something new are all little battles he thinks are important.
Play Me Like a Fiddle (Easily Manipulated) -- Laocoon is smart, yes, but not when it comes to himself. He can very easily point out the flaws in others, but rarely stops to think about his own weak points. As a result, it's very easy to goad him into any of his flaws (most notably being a back seat driver) and to take advantage of that. Just as he can be encouraged to be bossy, he can also be pacified when given a little more influence than he usually gets. In that way he’s easily manipulated; give him a little and he’s more willing to give a little back to you. Alexandros holds the most power over him. A little bit of give from the Prince, and Laocoon is willing to give nearly anything back.

Cavaliers: • Prince Alexandros/Dylan Rasmussen – A man of considerable intelligence and skill trapped in the body of a sixteen year old boy. I can only imagine what kind of hell that must be. Though we have only known each other for a short while I would trust him with my life. Rest in peace, my prince. • Cavalier Hector/Jesse Alvarez – Unpleasant. That is the best word I can think of to describe him. He is my captain and my brother, but his very nature rubs me the wrong way. I am not sure I wish to understand him but perhaps one day I will. I should have been there for you. I hope one day you can forgive me. • Cavalier Kunzite – I was fortunate enough to stand in this cavalier’s presence for only a brief amount of time, but her presence is admirable. I can only hope the rest of the White Moon Cavaliers are like her.
Senshi: • Sailor Selene/Queen Nehelenia/Corinna Grant – You are the other half to my prince and as such you are my ally. I can’t claim to understand you, but for my prince I will do as you command. As Ares’ queen I wish you safe passage wherever you have gone. • Sailor Ares/Fallon Iva Novette-Naim – Strength and pure, unfaltering willpower. I needed the kick in the a** even if it hurt more than I anticipated. I trust you to keep me focused, and in return I will keep you tempered. Wherever this road leads us, into blood or death, I will follow you to the end. • Sailor Gaia/ Madison Heller – Our contact has been scarce but I am pleased that you resurfaced after the events of Tartaros. • Sailor Libra/ ?? – Regimented and disciplined. I seem to keep finding you in compromising positions, so I hope that doesn’t reflect too negatively on our relationship. You are a valued ally. Also please refrain from hitting me with your scales. I do not wish to be caught in any kind of crossfire. • Sailor Scylla/Jada Chamberlyn – I am not always sure I understand you, but you are a welcome ally and a good friend. I am glad to hear that you were not lost in Tartaros. • Sailor Pisces/ ?? - • Sailor Tisiphone/ ?? – A corrupted senshi. I did not believe such things could exist until I saw it with my own eyes. I will be more careful the next time I encounter one of your kind. • Sailor Gunn/Kaatje van der Weydin - • Sailor Iris/?? - • Sailor Hestia/?? -
Negaverse: • Lt. Rhodizite – I am not sure what to think of you, though the only thing I can say is that now I am certain Negaverse agents play with their food. I am still trying to forget the rather embarrassing situation of that night, you’ll be happy to know.
Civilians: • Jia (Ian) Chen - • Sophie Hawkins - • Azzo Crowley - • Lorelei Armati – • Xavier Avery -

Johnny King is the eldest child of two, born in upper class family. His father got a lucky break in his construction business when Johnny was about three years old, and after business boomed he went from a blue collar worker to a man of income. The salary boost certainly didn't affect his mindset or his morals; he remained as inflexible, intolerant and uneducated as before. Johnny's mother worked as a waitress at the local diner before the money, but now spends all of her time at home or out with her friends. Johnny grew up babysat by the television where he became enamored with detective series and crime scene dramas. By the age of ten he'd declared he wanted to become a detective in the police force. His job choice was met with condescending indulgence from his mother and scorn by his father. He was told to "get a real job" and stay way from the cops. "You don't wanna get more involved than you haveta, you got it?"
His high marks in school were met with a similar reaction, his father inquiring if he wanted to be a nerd or a loser all his life. Johnny spent most of his grade school years and the first few years of high school trying to please his parents by purposefully doing average on tests and joining the football team in an effort to "fit in." Over time, he became a decent quarter back, well-practiced in the art of looking "average", and was all-in-all completely miserable.
A change of heart came when Johnny was in grade eleven and he took law. It was almost physically painful for him to do poorly on the tests, resulting in a consistent pattern to his answers on the tests. Every sentence's severity was increased by a factor of two or decreased by a factor of three depending on the question. He would answer only half the even and a third of the odd questions to prevent full marks. He was confronted several times by his teacher, finally breaking down and telling her the truth. His law teacher encouraged him to be what he was regardless of his parents' feeling towards him. She became his moral support during the rest of his high school years, guiding him and encouraging him to be the best he could be in all of his subjects.
Johnny King now actually pursues his dream of becoming a detective (or something to do with forensic science) and devotes his free time to studying. He has a desire to be recognized for who he is, especially by the greater world, perhaps to make up for his family's earlier disapproval and disappointment. He wants to prove people wrong about him, no matter what they think. Public image is extremely important to him.
Johnny fears that he's not good enough of smart enough to get what he wants and he'll be forced to admit defeat to his parents. He is embarrassed by them and their lifestyle, and would sooner live on the streets than have to admit defeat and become "like them." He would hate to be held down in a 9-5 job forever, and as a result has a very hard time holding down monotonous jobs.
Johnny does not get along well with his family, especially not his younger brother. They get into frequent arguments because their father supports Johnny's younger brother's "reckless teenage lifestyle."
