((For the sake of this battle, altering the order of my rolls to 1, 4, 3, 2, 4 in order to make if flow better and because it makes the rp way funnier.

1- Miss
2- Bide
3- Small hit
4- Big hit))

Nothing seemed to be going according to plan as of late. He couldn't concentrate on what he should be doing, had been avoiding Khalla whenever he could, and hadn't even been carrying out his er... extracurricular duties as smoothly as he could have. In fact, as of late, since his battle with Alkaid, Rhodizite had grown increasingly agitated and no longer seemed to coordinate his attack plans as he used to. The battle with Virgo had left that painfully clear to him (why the hell had he charged into battle without realizing that girl was a Zodiac?)

It was sheer anger that drove him, and it showed in the fact he was overworking himself, and he was getting sloppy. He'd managed to punch a wall a few weeks back, in an attempt to subside the ire he felt (it wasn't a particularly common feeling for him - specially not when it lasted this long). Needless to say, the self inflicted injury had not really helped him feel any better. But then again, most of his anger was directed at himself, which made things that much worse.

He honestly just wanted to find that damned senshi and finish things off so he could get back to his (mostly) peaceful life (ironies aside). In the meantime, he was plowing down anything and anyone that got in his way, without regard for his own well being. It was self destructive behavior and he was well aware of it, yet there was nothing he could do to stop it.

Every night, he found himself just lurking around in hopes of finding a hint that would signal Alkaid's entrance. Every night he returned back to his apartment tired, empty handed and beaten, due to having picked some other sort of fight with someone (anyone) else. Tonight was apparently not going to be any different, seeing as how he'd been out for hours and the park was offering him absolutely no viable answers to his problems.

If there was one thing Libra could agree, it was that nothing was going right.

With troubles of her own, the Zodiac had been shifting between patrolling with her fellow soldiers and going out on her own. It was a tiring lifestyle, but rewarding. When she won. There had been too many close calls following the battle with the redheaded Negaverse captain, and it was not resting well on the blond's shoulders. What she needed was a victory, one good, decisive victory. Libra knew she was more than capable; she probably had more tactical prowess than the entire Zodiac Guard combined! What was going wrong?

Was she slipping?

Scowling mightily, the Senshi of Balance shook her head and stepped into the park. It was quiet at the late hour, save for the occasional civilian strolling with his needy dog, and nothing seemed terribly amiss. Libra saw no monsters as she prowled the calm pseudo-wilderness (she even made sure to check the trees) and- Oh.

Rounding a small hill, Libra caught sight of one very suspicious looking gentleman, in far more getup than the average Destiny City citizen. Shifting her golden scales off her shoulder and swinging the left as she began a quick march towards the Negaverse agent. "You know," she began conversationally, not thinking twice about confronting the man, "it is not safe to be out by yourself after dark. You never know who you are going to run into."

Yes. This was exactly what she needed.

The battle with Virgo had left him wounded, and granted, he'd had to retire to his house for quite some time, but the moment he'd felt himself within remotely working health, he'd taken his leave. Khalla was going to blow a gasket if she found out he'd even gotten up from bed, that was for sure.

The voice that called to him came as a surprise, and the Lieutenant turned his head to look over his shoulder; the last thing he'd expected to find today, was yet another senshi. This one seemed particularly oddly dressed though, which was ringing alarm bells in his mind, "Oh?" he drawled out as he watched her out the corner of an eyes, "And whom did I run into, if I might ask? It's not polite to address others without giving them your name."

Rhodizite also didn't particularly like the scales she was carrying. On the other hand, he really didn't feel at all like turning tail; a fight was a fight, and as far as he was concerned, had that civilian not been around to throw that rock to his head, he'd have had Virgo's star seed. That counted for something.

Without waiting for an answer, he lounged for the girl, hissing slightly when his muscles protested the movement, "I'm Rhodizite," he hissed out, aiming his chain towards the scales; something told him that if he incapacitated them, he'd have the upper hand, "And I will make sure your bones shatter," unfortunately for him, his wrist was still damages from his previous fight and it caused his aim to be particularly off, for the chain missed both scales and girl.

Not that it mattered much. He was still getting closer and closer, which would doubtlessly give him another chance. That... and he still wasn't thinking particularly straight. All he could think about was the rush of exhilaration that the battle brought on.

"Rather shoddy job you're doing of it," Libra retorted as the lieutenant's chain flew wide, not even brushing against it. The blond briefly considered refusing to give the man her name as she stepped forward, her heels sinking into the grass as she left the pavement. Dismissing the notion as quickly as it had bubbled to the surface, the Zodiac announced, "I am Sailor Libra, and I will tip the balance of power!"

She stepped closer to the Negaverse agent, her scales on reaching so far. Tipping her head, the senshi of balance gave Rhodizite nothing shy of an appraising look, swinging one of the golden scales by her side like a mace. The soldier did not attack, instead watching the white-haired man with a keen intent. He did not move as effectively as the redheaded captain she'd met previously, nor did he seem as fast and, if her luck was holding out, this agent would not be as strong, either. Bristling a little at the thought of her recent defeat, Libra addressed Rhodizite.

"What are you doing out here, in such an abandoned area? Not exactly a prime location for star seed gathering." She narrowed her eyes. What was he up to? "Or are you really just a terrible agent?"

Libra? Was that another Zodiac? Of course she was; it explained the extravagant attire and the scales (he'd not really seen any senshi with tangible weapons before). This was just his luck. Rhodizite felt like there was some sort of god out there was was having an absolute blast while fiddling with his fate just to laugh at him.

He'd been in a particularly bad mood before the fight, but the fact his body was obviously not reacting like he wanted it to was sending him into an even fouler mood. It was particularly clear in the way his expression turned sour when his chain missed, as if he were berating himself for the stupidity. Perhaps he should have listened to Khalla and stayed back at home (but then again, the girl hadn't really known he'd be doing something like... this).

"Oh?" despite the fact his chain had missed, he was now close enough to see her move her scales out of the corner of an eye, "That's probably not what Virgo thought the other day. Had it not been for someone passing by, her star seed would have been in my power," as the scale moved, he shoot out a hand to grab at it, yanking at it harshly and aiming to punch the girl in the face with his other, "Don't underestimate me, girl. It might be the last thing you do."

She sure was taking a lot of headshots these days.

Libra was left reeling as the lieutenant used her scales against her, grabbing one and pulling her in like a prize catch before decking her right across the jaw. It was a miracle the blond hadn't lost a tooth yet between all these Negaverse agents. Stumbling back, she yanked her scale out of the man's hand and shot him a dirty look. "Just because you overestimate yourself does not mean my opinion of you is not appropriate," she noted, colder than she was nasty. "When one resorts to such desperate tactics?" She shook her head and clucked. "I'm not sure who I should be more impressed with. Virgo, for being so careless, or the passerby who actually managed to defeat you."

The Zodiac stumbled back, heels catching in the soft turf as she tried to put more distance between herself and Rhodizite. She lodged the little tidbit about Virgo away (who said that wouldn't be useful later?) and began to wind up her scales again. This time, the blond decided to try an attack from afar, especially if the older man was going to play grabby hands with her scales.

Launching one of the heavy golden weights, Libra went for his knees. However, instead of bashing them like intended the scales went a little too far, wrapping around the agent's legs instead. Deciding she'd take it, the Zodiac pulled as hard as she could, throwing her weight against the lieutenant's in an effort to knock him down.

He felt the sattisfying sensation of his fist as it connected with the girl's jaw, and though he had to shake his hand as soon as he retreated it, his knuckles feeling numb, Rhodizite couldn't help but smile grimly.

"We'll see about that," no sooner had he said it, that the scales were yanked out of his hold and he cursed inwardly; less talking, more moving, he swiftly decided. Alas, the realization came a tad too late and he felt one of the scales wrap around his leg. For a split second, the lieutenant noted the irony of the situation (he had used this same move quite often on his opponents), however, he had little time to marvel. No sooner did it wrap around his leg, that the cord was yanked and his center of balance was shifted far swifter than he could restore it.

It sent him tumbling, though at least he'd seen it coming and was able to shoot his hands out, guarding himself from the fall if only minimally; his leg was going to hurt later though, damn it. He decided that the scales were probably the key to getting to the girl though, and that in mind, he grabbed the cord of the scales and yanked her forward harshly again. He waited till the girl was within accessible distance before his untangled leg shot out, aiming to kick at her legs and send her to the ground, "You talk too much," he ground out, his hands still holding the scales.

Deciding she liked this tactic: attack from afar, Libra was already planning out her next attack by the time she realized the agent had grabbed her scales after she'd pulled his legs out from beneath him. She never saw his next attack coming, Rhodizite catching her right in the ankle. The Zodiac and her scales went careening downwards and-

It took her a moment, but the blond realized that in an amazing display of grace and finesse, she had landed right on the lieutenant's lap. It didn't even seem possible, and for a moment Libra considered she had struck her head when Rhodizite toppled her to the ground, but. No. She was sprawled across his lap, her scales in a not, and her dark skirt was crawling up her things, exposing more flesh than was already apparently.

With a blush spreading from cheekbones to the very tips of her ears, Libra shoved at the lieutenant wildly, scrambling as her heels tore at the soft turf instead of catching it. Forgetting about her scales for the time being, the blond flailed again (she would later deny doing something so undignified and useless as flailing), trying to separate herself from the Negaverse agent.

Rhodizite wasn't entirely sure what he'd been expecting; a whole number of outcomes, but what really happened hadn't exactly entered within the realm of possibilities he'd conjured, that was for sure.

The moment he felt her begin to fall over, he couldn't help the way his features twisted into a grin, which immediately vanished when the girl apparently decided to land on him, rather than on the floor. For one, long moment, there was silence (both parties seemed too engrossed in trying to figure out if 'this' was really happening). Libra was the first to regain her bearings, and began to flail helplessly on top of him; the scales he'd previously grabbed were tied around one of his legs still, while the other end had managed to wrap around them both as the Zodiac had fallen, essentially rendering both Lieutenant and Senshi unable to change their current situation.

Rhodizite's mind had essentially blue-screened the moment he'd realized the girl was, for all effect, giving him a god damned lap dance. At least, till the girl began to shove at him; now much more embarrassed than he was pissed, he hissed, wanting very much to remind the girl that she was the one that had both fallen on him and started the battle in the first place. He'd been minding his own damned business before her arrival!

"Stop flailing!" it was undoubtedly, the stupidest thing he could have said, given the situation at hand, and yet it seemed to be the most alarmingly prominent thought inside his mind. This senshi had absolutely no right to be be where she was. The only girl that had a right (and permission) to be there was probably currently tucked away at her home, doing her homework, thinking he was, in turned, tucked away in bed, resting from his recent 'bar fight'.

Today's question: How many times do you have to run into the same person before you ultimately decide that fate has really got it in for you?

The cavalier of the Maze had been out for a leisurely stroll, on his way home from his latest people-studying session when the sounds of a scuffle caught his attention. He forced himself to pause and listen, a frown forming on his face as he tried to make out what was going on in the distance. Did he interfere? There weren't any screams, per say, which meant that it probably was a youma. Was he supposed to step in in normal, Earthly fights in the middle of the park?

It was the yell of 'Stop flailing!' that made the decision for him. By the sounds of it, there was something very dastardly going on just up ahead and the cavalier was going to find out what. Laocoon picked up his pace and came trotting around the nearest old tree, only to find that things were, well, not exactly what they seemed. Or maybe they were exactly what they seemed? The green-haired teen's eyebrows shot up at the sight of Libra and some young man – Negaverse? Strangely dressed boyfriend? – engaged in what could only be described as some not-so-secretive PDA. Funny, he hadn't thought Libra was one of those types.

"Ah... ha.... Is this a bad time? Because I can come back later...." Laocoon trailed off, looking like he wasn't sure if he was supposed to be embarrassed or just plain irritated that his damsel in distress was Libra. Again.

"Don't tell me what to do!"

Libra's voice had gotten shriller, if that was at all possible. The blond had renewed her efforts to get away from the agent, and only then did she realize it was actually her own weapon that was binding her to Rhodizite. Libra squeaked, a noise completely out of character, her pale face almost completely pink as she tugged at the hem of her skirt helplessly. When she spotted the lieutenant skulking around in the darkness, this was certainly not how she intended the battle to go.

And who shows up to witness Libra's spectacular moment of grace and poise? Why, Laocoon, of course!

"I, what?" Whatever confusion and embarrassment the Zodiac was suffering was forcefully pushed out by a renewed sense of anger. "A bad time? He pulled me into his lap!" Struggling again, Libra tugged at her knotted cord, realized at least one of the scales was still wrapped around Rhodizite's leg. "s**t."

The Zodiac resumed her battle, trying to at least get the cord from around her waist, before shooting the cavalier a glance somewhere between a thinly veiled plea and open disgust. "Laocoon. He has my weapon." It was less of a statement, and more of a request. Well, if one knew how to listen to Libra, that was.
PostPosted: Thu May 20, 2010 11:01 am

The fact Libra was so close up and pressed against him meant that he was (accidentally, he swore to god!) coping a good feel of her and... well, when she yelled, she was practically yelling his face. Rhodizite was still trying to figure out which of the two notions was worse, "I really mean it!" he yelled back at her, "Stop flailing!" he would have also appreciated it if she'd stopped squirming. And moving. And existing, really, at that point in time.

Her current attire was also not making the situation all that much easier for him, and the scales that were loosely wound around them was making shoving the girl off of him an entirely impossible task.

The voice interrupted his thoughts, and the lieutenant snapped his head to the right, his eyes landing on an unfamiliar figure. Reason (which was still ever so slightly present in his mind) was telling him that this had to be a cavalier; not Kunzite, but still a cavalier, and that he should really get up and leave, because a Zodiac and a cavalier were way too much for him to handle alone.

"What?!" for someone that had 'pulled her into his lap', he sounded absolutely scandalized at her claim, "You're the one giving me a lap dance!" he finally shouted, anger getting the best of him. No sooner did the scales loosen up, that he finally moved, elbowing her sharply in the gut, "And I kindly request you get the <******** off!" apparently her claims had woken him up enough out of the gutter to finally react. He began to kick his leg frantically in an attempt to get the scales off of it, shoving at her.

He really needed to get out of there, soon and fast. For several reason. The cavalier that was watching being only one of them.

Laocoon tutted disapprovingly when Libra announced that she'd been dragged into his lap. Honestly, what ever happened to that saying 'get a room'? Libra's "date" didn't seem too pleased about her impromptu presence in his lap either, which meant that a) it really had been an accident or b) they were just trying to cover their romantic tryst.

Right now he wasn't sure which one he was going to buy.

Libra didn't give him any time to ponder the repercussions of either scenario. She was asking for his help in her roundabout kind of way and who was he to deny her? Being a bit of an exhibitionist certainly was a crime, right? Keeping his sword sheathed, the cavalier turned his attention to the problem of the scales. It was quite the conundrum and one that he was going to have to solve very quickly. Rhodizite wasn't exactly helping the matter.

"Sir if you were please stop moving I need to get you untangled!" Laocoon ducked as the Negaverse agent's foot clipped his ear. "Sans boots to the head! You do want to get out of this, don't you?" He gave one of the scales a pointed tug. "Libra, about face if you please!"
PostPosted: Thu May 27, 2010 8:47 am

Libra's jaw dropped. Lap dance? Lap dance!?

With a that could make a cardinal look pale, the blond twisted around as she pulled off one of her long, white gloves. Her expression unreadable (though certainly not her usual dismissal of the human race as a whole), Libra swung and slapped the lieutenant across the cheek, the sharp crack of flesh against flesh echoing in the otherwise quiet park.

Giving Rhodizite one final glare, she turned her attention to the cavalier. Libra always did her best to follow instructions, and today was no different. Doing exactly as Laocoon asked of her, she allowed the green-haired man to manhandle her as he worked the knots of the the scales' cord. Once she had been fairly untangled from the Negaverse agent, she extended a hand towards Laocoon. Getting up on her own would only mean wriggling and struggling more, and if there was one thing the Zodiac did not want, it was more grief from this outrageous lieutenant.
