Hello, guys! I was doing some research in Wikipedia about the series and I came across an interesting fact along the way: SMeyer never researched vampire mythology before she started to write Twilight. Finally, proof that her so-called vamps are nothing but bu******t.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Twilight_characters#Renesmee_Cullen
It's the section labeled vampires

Yes, it has been established and emphasized that Meyer did absolutely no research on vampires. This is reflected in the book in the chapter where Bella "researches" vampires, but gets BORED halfway through and gives up. That's probably what Meyer did.

Actually not only did she confess to never researching Vampires, she never researches anything. Period. Which is why her books are riddled with logical, scientific, geographical, and historical flaws. Meyers mentality is that slapping a huge 'it's fantasy' sticker over everything makes it okay.
Such a Rosalie being the well-off daughter of a banker during the Great Depression when millions of wealthy people lost everything.

So if I go with Meyer's approach to research, I can throw a 16th century samurai in the 19th century Wild West and call it historical fantasy and get away with it. blaugh Wait...no...people won't buy it...maybe I should make the samurai sparkle. 3nodding Yes, that makes it much more believeable and adds a touch of creativity. Wait, wait, maybe I should throw in some pygmies...

Hey, pretty much! She also failed to reasearch physical and sexual abuse and how it's wrong! It is also obvious that she didn't even look at rights for women or the feminist movement. That explains so much! I'm going to mention this the next time Twilight is brought up.

If you really want to write it off as fantasy, then get some research right or just make your own world where anything can happen. Plus I dislike how she mentioned the Great Depression. All it did was to make the character seem more likeable in a sympathetic way WHEN NOTHING WAS DIFFERENT FOR HER. Mary-Sue much?

Surprisingly SMeyer isn't listed under the "You Fail At Logic/History/Biology" trope.

Not only did SMeyer not do research, she also shows mild signs of schizophrenia. She actually said she heard Bella and Edward in her head.
