Activist -- Activism is something she really enjoys, but that is not the only meaning here. Esen and her beliefs are almost inseparable; you're going to have to take a flame to her grasp on her beliefs to get Esen to see your point of view on the stuff she really has ties to. "Even though I'm not a gender-oddity myself, I fully believe that all couples, whether homo, hetero or trans, should get every chance at a normal, married life, including children and a house of their very own. I don't mind if your beliefs differ, but if so, please send your imbecile self out, preferably physically. You'll look worse if you stay and fight against our cause." Other than fighting for the GLBT cause, she also helps with enviromental and educational causes, often helping out from time to time.

((For consistency throughout the profile as well, the first sentence of Argumentative will change to "To see things happen you'd like, one must state their opinion, although with Esen...", from "Activism means speaking up for your beliefs, although with Esen..." The meaning of the Argumentative flaw itself does not change, so I did not make a separate request for it.))

Holds true to beliefs -- Esen, if she really cared to, could probably do well in the field of politics. Some people might think her stubborn, but in reality, she won't often waver from her beliefs and views. If she were to change her mind on something, she's probably thought about it for a good period before doing so. However, this does not always apply to every situation. In an interpersonal aspect, her beliefs can change pretty quickly. She's not the type to backstab, however; she may not seem trustworthy, but Esen can be counted on not to spill secrets or talk behind you without just cause. If one of your parents fell very ill recently and you don't want her to tell anyone, that's okay. If you want to hurt yourself because your parents fell very ill recently, she'll try to be discreet about it, but her mouth will not stay zipped.

Green with Envy -- Esen was diagnosed at thirteen years old with Celiac disease, in which gluten tells the immune system to attack the small intestine, and she, as a result, cannot eat anything with gluten in it. Wheat products are a major culprit. This makes her pretty angry with the rest of the world - she loved Chicken McNuggets, but then found out that they have wheat in the coating and are off-limits to her! Since that incident, she's been attempting to cook her own meals, but it's hard to find the specialized ingredients in regular grocery stores, much less at a comparable price to regular ingredients. She's quite jealous of those who have normal gastrointestinal systems, as some of her favorite foods became forbidden to her in the name of her health. Mainstream fast food chains are usually out of the question as well. Warning you now, if you buy her any fast food from a mainstream place, expect a tirade on the fact that you can actually eat what you just bought and that if you wanted to buy her some food, to ask first, or better yet, don't - just give her money and she'll buy her own stuff to eat.

Contradictory -- Once upon a time, Esen was very cheerful, happy-go-lucky, and seemed on top of the world. Childhood naivete was killed a long time ago by bullies and cliques in school, and when that died, so did the majority of her previous attitude, and she became a bit cold. There is still a part inside of Esen, however, that seeks joy, the company of people, the ability to express yourself and trust it won't have a negative outcome. This internal debate is not severe to the point where she would have to attend therapy, but this mindset could be detrimental to any non-business, non-familial relationships. Say Esen was telling you one day that giving her a hug was okay, but the next two days she shies away from such contact, or that she doesn't want to talk in-depth about her past with you, yet tells you about why she hadn't been in regular high school for her freshman year and what caused it. And the positive emotions she hides for her better friends and family? There are certainly no static rules in her head saying that she must show you her feelings.

Bros before Hoes -- Barnaby has nothing against girls. He really doesn't. They're a nice bunch, for the most part, but they really need to let their men have some quality man time. Barnaby's bros come first in his life, and is his mind he should come first in theirs. While he is tolerant of girlfriends, his tolerance ends quickly when he feels like his bros are spending too much time with their girls. He also doesn't like girls interfering in what he terms "man business" (heavy work, fighting the Negaverse, things like that), and will be the first to tell a girl to sit down and let him handle it. He's a man and he's got it, okay? He also has a hard time accepting the fact that women (and girls) can actually fight, and will underestimate both Senshi and Negaverse girls in battle.

Now Listen Princess -- Girls are… well, girls for lack of a better description. They have all kinds of weird behaviours and as much as Barnaby has nothing against them he really doesn't get them. But that doesn't mean that he should just let them do whatever they want (and put themselves in potentially dangerous situations). Perhaps because he's had to "step up" as it were and be the man in his house, he frequently feels the need to impose this kind of relationship on all the girls he's friends with. Much like an over-protective brother, he's the first to tell a girl to just stand over there and let him handle it. Barnaby also has a hard time believing the fact that women (and girls) can actually fight, and has no problems telling them such. Heavy lifting, fighting battles, driving fast cars, and all those things are what he considers "man things" and he doesn't like it when girls start trying to impose on the "man domain." In fact, he flat out doesn't believe that they can do any of that kind of stuff, seriously underestimating their abilities. So why don't you just let him handle it, okay?

Chivalric - Virtue: Once upon a time, Carter wanted to be a knight when he grew up. As he grew up, he realized that armor is pretty heavy and, well, not exactly as fun as he imagined it. Thank you, History Channel.
He really liked the code of chivalry, though. It may not be as epic as the Bro Code, but it's just a way he acts in order to try and separate himself from the rest of the crowd -- as well as to try and stay away from becoming a transfer to Hillworth!
Carter doesn't remember the exact nitty-gritty details of the chivalric code, so he follows his own variation based off of the seven virtues:
- Courage: Take on and attempt all challenges presented! Just don't kill yourself in the process.
- Justice: What comes around goes around. Stick to the rules and you can avoid karma's retribution.
- Mercy: There's no victory in a 'final' battle. You need your opponents to constantly push you to your limits -- break their limits again and again, and never quit because it's over. You never know when it'll start up again!
- Generosity: Don't be a greedy pig, man. Glory hounding is fine once in awhile, but you'll lose rivals if you hog too much of the limelight. Hog too much, then... well, where's the sense in victory if there's no one to witness it?
- Faith: Keep your word. It impresses the ladies.
- Nobility: DON'T DO DRUGS KIDS! STAY IN SCHOOL even though it bites.
- Hope: Get knocked down? Pick yo'self up again. Bruises and scrapes build character.

Chivalric - Flaw: As much as his code guides him, it also hinders him.
- Courage: Taking on and attempting all challenges presented often lead to taking on more than he can handle.
- Justice: Follow the rules, even if skateboarding in that old construction site -would- lead to some kickass moves... but if you get dared, do you back off and wimp out or do you man up and do it? The latter would happen, since the rules he follows happen to be the ones that apply to the current situation, ie use a crosswalk when there's cars and other people, but jaywalk if there's no cars or witnesses. It's faster!
- Mercy: As tempting as it is to land the final blow, too many kung-fu movies made Carter believe that real strength is in restraint and letting your opponent live, rather than finishing them off. As impressive to some, it's infuriating to others and Carter has often been attacked from behind after trying to walk away from a scuffle.
- Generosity: Carter will not share his money with bums on the street. He got jumped by a mob of them once, and lost his entire allowance and lunch to them.
- Faith: The promises he has had to keep... Carter has lost some of his friends due to keeping secrets and promises he shouldn't have kept. Like telling his friend that those cookies contained peanuts when he promised another to never ever EVER tell someone else the secret ingredient. He lost his allowance in apology balloons in that particular incident.
- Nobility: Putting on airs means that the other skaters make fun of him for being too good to spray paint with the rest of them.
- Hope: When in doubt, fake optimism helps!

Trust Issues – Damian doesn’t trust anyone, literally. Well, he trusts his father, but that's about it. He’s highly suspicious of everyone else’s motives, including his sister and his step-mother. If someone wants to be his friend they must want something from him, if a girl wants to be his girlfriend (and not just a hook up) she must want to use him. Because of this he doesn’t have anyone he calls a friend. Sure, other people will call him their friend, and he doesn’t mind that because he knows that he’s actually not. He just puts up an outgoing, charismatic exterior so that no one looks too closely at him. Ever since his mother ran out on him and his sister he hasn't wanted to get close to anyone. When he's asked anything too personal, or someone tries to get too close Damian'll crack a joke or change the subject, and if the person persists in digging into him he'll just walk away and pretend it never happened.

If a girl wants to be his steady girlfriend she must want to use him. Also, if a girl gets close to him that opens up the door to her getting to know him, and being able to hurt him. When things get serious and he's expected to any kind of commitment he'll split. Ever since his mother ran out on him and his sister he hasn't wanted to get close to anyone.
