This thread has been archived and replaced with a newer one! If you were linked to this thread by one of our information or resource threads, please let us know so we can update them with the proper link! Thank you! Once upon a time, you RPed a character. Except suddenly one of these things happened: 1) Your old profile that you began with doesn't reflect how you write your character. 2) You want to, or have been advised to write your character differently for some reason and need to change your profile, either due to OOC or IC-plot reasons. This thread is for OFFICIAL characters only, not for quests! Here you can submit changes for your character's profile to be approved by us, the shop's quest stampers! You need to have your character for at least an entire month before being eligible to revise their profile. If you are rewriting one or two virtues/flaws/hobbies to better suit your character, please fill out the MINOR REVISION form. If you are rewriting your character's entire profile, please make a new thread in the Quest Application Subform, and title it with: [REVISION] (Character Name Here). If you wish to change your profile based on a plot that you wish to keep secret, PM your REVISED profile to the shop mule complete with a link to your old profile. These are for PERMANENT character changes! If for instance a senshi is surprised by a negaverser and becomes paranoid of the dark only to get rid of that fear in a later plot, do NOT post to add an "Afraid of the Dark" trait! Since it's temporary, we don't need to yae/nae it.

REMEMBER, VIRTUES AND FLAWS AFFECT CHARACTERS ON A DAILY BASIS! If something affects a character sometimes or only in certain situations such as a phobia, then it is NOT a suitable flaw/virtue! If you make either a minor or major change, you may not make another change for THREE MONTHS. This is to prevent abuse to both characters and this system. Exceptions can be made if you have a really, really, REALLY good reason. Really good reason. "A Negaverser ate my dog's starseed," is not a good reason.

Quote: MINOR REVISIONCharacter Name: Esen Q. Saylor - Journal, if needed for referenceReason for Revision: Both reasons 1/2, in a way, but mainly number 2, as I was advised by Rose for changes (and I agree with this advisement). I added some OOC notes as to the reasons of individual changes, I hope it won't be too huge an issue for me to have put the notes in? Virtue EditVirtue needing change ((Reason: Needed more detail, and this virtues implied a hobby she no longer has. I could probably explain the disappearance of the implied hobby through Barren Pines or the nightmare solo, which I am making.))Activist -- Activism is something she really enjoys, but that is not the only meaning here. Esen and her beliefs are almost inseparable; you're going to have to take a flame to her grasp on her beliefs to get Esen to see your point of view on the stuff she really has ties to. "Even though I'm not a gender-oddity myself, I fully believe that all couples, whether homo, hetero or trans, should get every chance at a normal, married life, including children and a house of their very own. I don't mind if your beliefs differ, but if so, please send your imbecile self out, preferably physically. You'll look worse if you stay and fight against our cause." Other than fighting for the GLBT cause, she also helps with enviromental and educational causes, often helping out from time to time. to Virtue changing to ((For consistency throughout the profile as well, the first sentence of Argumentative will change to "To see things happen you'd like, one must state their opinion, although with Esen...", from "Activism means speaking up for your beliefs, although with Esen..." The meaning of the Argumentative flaw itself does not change, so I did not make a separate request for it.))Holds true to beliefs -- Esen, if she really cared to, could probably do well in the field of politics. Some people might think her stubborn, but in reality, she won't often waver from her beliefs and views. If she were to change her mind on something, she's probably thought about it for a good period before doing so. However, this does not always apply to every situation. In an interpersonal aspect, her beliefs can change pretty quickly. She's not the type to backstab, however; she may not seem trustworthy, but Esen can be counted on not to spill secrets or talk behind you without just cause. If one of your parents fell very ill recently and you don't want her to tell anyone, that's okay. If you want to hurt yourself because your parents fell very ill recently, she'll try to be discreet about it, but her mouth will not stay zipped. Flaw EditFlaw needing change ((Reason: Not technically usable as an official flaw. Will keep in the general profile, but not under Flaws, if it's okay.))Green with Envy -- Esen was diagnosed at thirteen years old with Celiac disease, in which gluten tells the immune system to attack the small intestine, and she, as a result, cannot eat anything with gluten in it. Wheat products are a major culprit. This makes her pretty angry with the rest of the world - she loved Chicken McNuggets, but then found out that they have wheat in the coating and are off-limits to her! Since that incident, she's been attempting to cook her own meals, but it's hard to find the specialized ingredients in regular grocery stores, much less at a comparable price to regular ingredients. She's quite jealous of those who have normal gastrointestinal systems, as some of her favorite foods became forbidden to her in the name of her health. Mainstream fast food chains are usually out of the question as well. Warning you now, if you buy her any fast food from a mainstream place, expect a tirade on the fact that you can actually eat what you just bought and that if you wanted to buy her some food, to ask first, or better yet, don't - just give her money and she'll buy her own stuff to eat. to Flaw changing to ((As ICly, Esen was a sophomore pre-Barren Pines, and is still in her sophomore year now, the comment about 'the reason why she hadn't been in regular high school for her freshman year' did not happen during the Barren Pines plot, and is still in memory.))Contradictory -- Once upon a time, Esen was very cheerful, happy-go-lucky, and seemed on top of the world. Childhood naivete was killed a long time ago by bullies and cliques in school, and when that died, so did the majority of her previous attitude, and she became a bit cold. There is still a part inside of Esen, however, that seeks joy, the company of people, the ability to express yourself and trust it won't have a negative outcome. This internal debate is not severe to the point where she would have to attend therapy, but this mindset could be detrimental to any non-business, non-familial relationships. Say Esen was telling you one day that giving her a hug was okay, but the next two days she shies away from such contact, or that she doesn't want to talk in-depth about her past with you, yet tells you about why she hadn't been in regular high school for her freshman year and what caused it. And the positive emotions she hides for her better friends and family? There are certainly no static rules in her head saying that she must show you her feelings. APPROVED by Kali.

Quote: Gullible: We'll just put it this way...Demy has checked the dictionary for this word on more than one occasion. Demy takes everything at face value, believing that nobody would ever really want to lie to him. Gullibility leads him to a lot of trouble, and often the pawn in someone else's plans. It should also be noted that Demy has a bad habit of nudging little untruths into his own life, his gullibility leading him to believe them to be the absolute truth. He sees nothing wrong with lying to himself, in fact he doesn't even view it as lying to himself. It's simply the way things happened. That suits what I've seen of Demy in play so well. Quote: MINOR REVISIONCharacter Name: Barnaby Price - JournalReason for Revision: The more I played it, the more I realized he was coming at it (his opinion of girls) from a different angle than I'd originally said he would. Quote: Bros before Hoes -- Barnaby has nothing against girls. He really doesn't. They're a nice bunch, for the most part, but they really need to let their men have some quality man time. Barnaby's bros come first in his life, and is his mind he should come first in theirs. While he is tolerant of girlfriends, his tolerance ends quickly when he feels like his bros are spending too much time with their girls. He also doesn't like girls interfering in what he terms "man business" (heavy work, fighting the Negaverse, things like that), and will be the first to tell a girl to sit down and let him handle it. He's a man and he's got it, okay? He also has a hard time accepting the fact that women (and girls) can actually fight, and will underestimate both Senshi and Negaverse girls in battle. to Quote: Now Listen Princess -- Girls are… well, girls for lack of a better description. They have all kinds of weird behaviours and as much as Barnaby has nothing against them he really doesn't get them. But that doesn't mean that he should just let them do whatever they want (and put themselves in potentially dangerous situations). Perhaps because he's had to "step up" as it were and be the man in his house, he frequently feels the need to impose this kind of relationship on all the girls he's friends with. Much like an over-protective brother, he's the first to tell a girl to just stand over there and let him handle it. Barnaby also has a hard time believing the fact that women (and girls) can actually fight, and has no problems telling them such. Heavy lifting, fighting battles, driving fast cars, and all those things are what he considers "man things" and he doesn't like it when girls start trying to impose on the "man domain." In fact, he flat out doesn't believe that they can do any of that kind of stuff, seriously underestimating their abilities. So why don't you just let him handle it, okay? What you've written now actually has him coming across much more misogynistic than the first flaw (which was more like just resenting girls who try and take over the bf's lives). Is that the direction you meant to take him in? -- KaliEDIT: Yes. :3 APPROVED by Kali.

Quote: MINOR REVISIONCharacter Name: Calintha Johnson Reason for Revision: Cali has grown quite a bit from Barren Pines, and some of her old flaws and virtues just don't quite work for her character anymore. She's no longer socially awkward (she wants to surround herself with people at this point to not feel alone), and she's picked up some different experiences. Quote: OLD FLAWSocially Awkward: Calintha is a nice, easy going girl who gets along with a lot of people, but seeing as she prefers plants over people she isn't great in many social situations. Certainly, even a dedicated botanist needs someone who can talk back to her sometimes, so Cali tries to keep people involved in her life. Her social skills aren't always up to par though. to Quote: REVISED FLAWMalleable: Calintha is a very impressionable young woman. She often assumes that others know best, and that listening to their opinions and following through with them is clearly the best option. Tell her that she looks ugly in that shirt? She won't wear it ever again. Conversely, mention that her sweatshirt looks awesome and she'll wear it twice as often. This product will make my skin glow? Of COURSE I'll try it! I think you get the point. The only thing that she won't stand correction on is her gardening. Try and tell her how to garden and you're likely to get the silent treatment. Quote: NEW VIRTUEResistant: Calintha is incredibly resistant to bad situations and hard times. Like a plant, she's grown her roots in deep and can bend in whichever way the wind blows. Everything that she's been through has made her able to 'grin and bear it' as it were. This is mostly a defense mechanism to keep her from going insane. Things will get better eventually, and in the meantime, Calintha is going to weather the storm. Quote: NEW HOBBYOrganization: Part of the reason Calintha picked up this hobby is due to the time she spent in the hospital rooming with Fallon. She learned from the master, and liked the way it felt to be organized (it gives her a measure of control over her life). Most everything in her apartment is neatly jarred and labeled, each in different ways. Her cooking jars are all the kind with blackboard paint, so they are labeled by whats inside and the date. Her plants are labeled both with permanent name labels, as well as several laminate card slots, each detailing watering/feeding/trimming schedules. Anything she makes in house (tea, spices, etc) is neatly labeled with names, ingredients, and dates. Quote: NEW HOBBYConcoctions: Calintha doesn't just like to grow plants, she also likes to know what she can do with said plants. As such, she's begun compiling guides and research books that deal with homemade remedies. She's gotten fairly good at it, but it is always loves to learn new uses for her plants. Current things that she can make in shop include several different types of tea, poultices, disinfectants, rubs, and mineral soaks. There isn't any really limit as to what she'll try to make with her home grown ingredients, but she does tend to gravitate towards things that are directly useful (she's more willing to make a medical remedy than a perfume, for example).

Quote: MINOR REVISIONCharacter Name: Carter Martin/Sailor Merope Reason for Revision: Getting rid of his chivalry flaw and virtue. I don't use them, and in all honesty I feel that they're really limiting the potential craziness and fun he can get into by having sorta-strict guidelines. Not to mention "Chivalry" itself feels like a giant umbrella for a TON of different personality traits that would be better off written out as various flaw/virtue elements. Chivalry says to fight with honor. His inner daredevil and attention whore says dude dropping on an enemy from behind while using your nifty Wave Fist attack would be the coolest thing EVER.Quote: Chivalric - Virtue: Once upon a time, Carter wanted to be a knight when he grew up. As he grew up, he realized that armor is pretty heavy and, well, not exactly as fun as he imagined it. Thank you, History Channel. He really liked the code of chivalry, though. It may not be as epic as the Bro Code, but it's just a way he acts in order to try and separate himself from the rest of the crowd -- as well as to try and stay away from becoming a transfer to Hillworth! Carter doesn't remember the exact nitty-gritty details of the chivalric code, so he follows his own variation based off of the seven virtues: - Courage: Take on and attempt all challenges presented! Just don't kill yourself in the process. - Justice: What comes around goes around. Stick to the rules and you can avoid karma's retribution. - Mercy: There's no victory in a 'final' battle. You need your opponents to constantly push you to your limits -- break their limits again and again, and never quit because it's over. You never know when it'll start up again! - Generosity: Don't be a greedy pig, man. Glory hounding is fine once in awhile, but you'll lose rivals if you hog too much of the limelight. Hog too much, then... well, where's the sense in victory if there's no one to witness it? - Faith: Keep your word. It impresses the ladies. - Nobility: DON'T DO DRUGS KIDS! STAY IN SCHOOL even though it bites. - Hope: Get knocked down? Pick yo'self up again. Bruises and scrapes build character. Chivalric - Flaw: As much as his code guides him, it also hinders him. - Courage: Taking on and attempting all challenges presented often lead to taking on more than he can handle. - Justice: Follow the rules, even if skateboarding in that old construction site -would- lead to some kickass moves... but if you get dared, do you back off and wimp out or do you man up and do it? The latter would happen, since the rules he follows happen to be the ones that apply to the current situation, ie use a crosswalk when there's cars and other people, but jaywalk if there's no cars or witnesses. It's faster! - Mercy: As tempting as it is to land the final blow, too many kung-fu movies made Carter believe that real strength is in restraint and letting your opponent live, rather than finishing them off. As impressive to some, it's infuriating to others and Carter has often been attacked from behind after trying to walk away from a scuffle. - Generosity: Carter will not share his money with bums on the street. He got jumped by a mob of them once, and lost his entire allowance and lunch to them. - Faith: The promises he has had to keep... Carter has lost some of his friends due to keeping secrets and promises he shouldn't have kept. Like telling his friend that those cookies contained peanuts when he promised another to never ever EVER tell someone else the secret ingredient. He lost his allowance in apology balloons in that particular incident. - Nobility: Putting on airs means that the other skaters make fun of him for being too good to spray paint with the rest of them. - Hope: When in doubt, fake optimism helps! to APPROVED by Mouse!

MINOR REVISIONCharacter Name: Amelia Kane/Sailor Eskimo Reason for Revision: I re-read her flaws and realized the Tomboy/Intimacy Issues made her seem like she never had feelings for a boy and was totally uninterested in romance which isn't the case. Also, she's not as crass and loud as I thought she would be. Quote: Intimacy Issues – Amelia’s parents died when she was five, and then she went to live with her aunt who was a single mother with two full time jobs. Because of this she hasn’t had a strong female influence in her life, ever. She isn’t sure how to flirt with boys, and she can count on one hand how many times she’s been kissed. She doesn’t even know what a healthy relationship looks like, let alone how to have one. So, she stays away from relationships, content with being ‘one of the boys’. If she ever did get into a relationship she would be the neurotic clingy girlfriend who was terrified her boyfriend was going to cheat on her every time he was out of her sight. This of course would push any boy away, but she would go to almost any lengths to keep him around, including appealing to his parents to put in a good word with him for her. She gets a little crazy when it comes to the thought of being left, being abandoned is one of her biggest fears after all. {Weakness} to Quote: Intimacy Issues – Amelia’s parents died when she was five, and then she went to live with her aunt who was a single mother with two full time jobs.
