Appearance: 5'8', roughly 130 lbs. Dark honey brown hair that is short and very curly, the actual texture is rather soft. He has an almost triangular shaped face with a sharp chin that has a cleft. His eyes are a light hazel color with thin lashes and high arched eyebrows. Dashias has a long nose that is rounded at the end with a wide, easy going smile. He has no real muscle as he has never had to do true physical labor but is toned from the exercises required of him at Harper Hall. His clothing is of decent material, mainly linens and wools in various shades of browns, greens and the occasional Harper Blue outfit. He has two pairs of shoes-an everyday pair of boots and his good harping shoes when he is required to be dressed up and sing.
Personality: Dashias wouldn't consider himself shy as he is ready to wave a hand or offer a smile to someone unknown but he doesn't go out of his way to start the party either. He is the type of person one would invite so there was an even party group and they wanted a person who knew how to hold a conversation. Dashias, trained to listen, does know of the gossip that goes on in Hold and Hall but is not one to repeat it unless directly asked. He has a weird sense of humor, like letting a caprine into the weyrlings barracks but he swears it was an accident, and is one you can share a joke with...
That being said, for all of Dashias's quiet but easy going appearance, he is given to bouts of moodiness. What teenager isn't? Though happy with his family and place in life, he worries that it may not be the right calling or he may disappoint those around him. This worrying causes him to second guess himself from time to time and make simple errors which gets him teased. And though, while scribing he has great attention to detail, outside of that narrow focus, Dashias can sometimes be absent-minded and forget what task he was assigned or where he placed his belongings. He does have a temper and has a slight...dislike of Holder children. He believes that just because your born to holders doesn't mean you have the right to act like you are better than everyone else. Dashias will not abide by bullies and is quick to raise his voice, or his fists if need be, to defend what he thinks it right...whether or not he is in the right.
He is proud of his harper heritage and craft upbringing. This shows in how he acts towards others and the way he views things. Dashias is not afraid to think outside the box in order to find the answer he needs... Just don't ask him to explain later how he got there.
