 I'll give it a shot. ^_^
I just watched The Phantom of the Opera for the first time last weekend and so that kind of inspired this. All of the costumes for the masquerade ball scene were exquisitely detailed and complicated. I went with red, blue, gold, and black because it isn't the usual color combo you find for things like this.

He's probably a little thrown by the mature content of it.
It's a costume party theme for the contest and that isn't very costume party based. Party, sure, but not the same.
