I stumbled on to something, something very, very disturbing indeed. 0_0

Yes, I know I sound like a couple of certain somebodies who have the largest intention of stumbling on to amazing/shocking/hilarious Anti-Twilight things, but, uh, this...is a little worrying.

I'll copy and paste the things that people typed (They belong in the guild. =D)

Quote:
Wow.
Angry fangirls are angry.
Stephenie Meyer has not only ruined the reputation of vampires, but she crushed it down to dust. Turning it from a goth center of interest into a preppy obsession.
Her books are filled with sex to give hope to 10-20 year old preppy girls that they will have sex with the perfect man if they act like a stupid b***h.
I totally agree with Mr. King, because Meyer has no talent whatsoever to write, and the book only because so popular because it became a new fashion for people to read and "love" it, not because of the actual quality of the book itself.
To Tayler, please re-read your comment ... (or re-read Twilight). "they have barely any sexual actions in them"? The entire story was based on Meyer's sexual fantasies, and she was not afraid to show it while writing the book.
And nobody can disagree that a 10th grader, if not even smaller, can write more imaginatively and with a much better structure and grammar than Meyer, except of course the angry Twilight fans, which consider Edward and Bella (Fictional characters, people. Get over it.) the gods of their new world of fandom.

Best damn thing I read on that web page other than the "angry fangirls are angry" (Lol. That was a first). But now it is time for the Twilight lovers (I don't call them Twitards, although quite a few people act like them. They are obsessed with the book, but they are people and people have emotions. Plus, if we want to be the more mature and less-obsessive group of humans, we've got to act a tinsy bit more mature and less accusatory in the matter. We all know a Twilight lover somewhere, right?).

And now for the people who are laughing their asses off or standing in the in between lines and shaking their heads at the stupidity of the entire sole based arguments.

Good grief. What has happened in this country? Bad things are happening and all you all have to go back and forth about how "mine is better than yours, blah blah blah"??? This is ridiculous. The people who like Twilight need to stop trying to tell everyone else that they have to like it too. Just because you loved it doesn't mean everyone else has to! And all you Twilight Haters, no one twisted your arm and made you read those books. If you didn't like them, that's fine. Whatever. Just get it through your head that doesn't mean you get to tell everyone else that they can't like them either. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean no one else can! Stop caring about whether anyone else likes it or not. It's not your place to tell people how to think. What should matter to you is, do you like it. Quit yelling at people and freaking out because they liked/didn't like
Twilight. There really are better things to spend your energy on!

'getta lyfe?'

He's a freaking award-winning author!

Anyhow. They really need to start explaining why Smeyer is better than Rowling.
Also, they must get the paperweight off their exclamation point key. It's burning my eyes.

Pffft award winning? He's the proud owner of at least five Bram Stoker awards, which is the equivalence of winning an oscar for horror writing. Alongside about 10-20 other awards plus having roughly 30+ of his books turned into films. He's a literary MASTER.

That's like saying a popsicle stick house is superior to Buckingham Palace. >_<

I internally gigglesnorted at that last comment from a Twilight lover. Seriously, why is their comeback always the hackneyed "ur jus jeles!!1!" or "quit hating on stephenie's skillz"?

It's because they think that Twilight is the greatest book in existence. Sadly, they are in error, because it's not the greatest book in existence.

Indeed.

However, comparing Stephenie Meyer to Stephen King is like saying that a toothpick is superior to every aspect to the Forbidden City in Beijing. It's highly preposterous, I dare say!

For one thing, the Forbidden City is older than a toothpick, and so is Stephen King's career compared to Stephenie Meyer's.

Also, the Forbidden City is far more illustrious than a toothpick! The same can be said of Stephen King when compared to Stephenie Meyer.

Pffft, he's been writing since Meyer was in diapers! His work has influenced writers for over 30 years, his work has been made into several movie, play, and musical adaptions (Carrie: THe Musical).

He is, like, a litterary dachshund.

Yeah. I'm kind of a superfan of Stephen King the way some people here are for Rowling and her magical redcoat children.

Other than the fact that Twi-Tards have HORRIBLE grammar and spelling skills, (Reflective of the material they read perhaps?) they obviously haven't picked up and read a decent piece of literature to know how BAD meyer really is. I've read Champions of the Night AND Interview With a Vampire and I don't recall the true Gothic vampire sparkling.... As I DO remember... they Burnt TO A CRISP!!!!

They just want a creepy stalker to follow them and attempt to r*pe them...

The only reason those pre-pubescent children think Twilight is the best book series ever created is because it's the only books they've read....unless you count little captions in coloring books.
