The Dark Tower series really is pretty damned good. I think The Gunslinger was the best one though. That opening line has still stuck with me. "The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed." It just has an epic quality to it.

My personal favorite book by the King is probably The Stand.

Ive read about 7 books of steven king and love all of them apart from DREAMCATURE. I know most people love that book and that its one of his most famous books but it seriouly gross me out. I really hated that one. At the moment through im reading THE DARK HALF and im loving it so far.

Steven King insprires me in so many ways. i deffterantly would recomend him to a friends and family.

Dreamcatcher isn't one of his most famous books. XD In fact, most people who have read Stephen King might not have read that book.
I thought the movie was... okay. It wasn't that good. The book was relatively good though.
The Dark Half is another good one, but it is also not all that well known. The movie adaptation wasn't half bad though (excuse the pun).
If you want to bring up more popular King books, you should look into things like It, Pet Sematary, The Stand, Carrie, Cujo, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile.
