Kraun
Should probably clarify between abilities and skills then. Essentailly the same thing, but the difference is innate powers go into the abilities category and learned or developed things go into the skills category. Probably easiest way to explain it.

Examples of abilities: control of elements, immunities and natural resistance, natural heightened senses, etc.
Examples of skills: learned skills, weapon proficiencies, fighting skills, spellcraft, divine gifts or enhanced traits, etc.

    In ages past, the Heart and Key of Althair was rumoured to be the keystone of the Royal House's power, but during a great war the key to the locket went missing, some say it was destroyed and the true power of the Royals was lost. The locket without it's key was written off as merely a pretty trinket and passed down from generation to generation as nothing more than an antique and the knowledge of the contents and of the power within the locket, was lost to time.

  • Bloodstone Pendant (UNIDENTIFIED): A ruby/garnet coloured bloodstone set into blackened gold and threaded onto a matching burnished chain, it has been known to 'pulse' with energy and glow with a red aura. It appeared around her neck when Ra'kar first manifested, the night she destroyed her city. This she keeps hidden from sight, but on her person at all times.

  • Betrothal Necklace: Fashioned from gold in an elvish design to honour her heritage, a large fire stone cut and polished in the shape of a tear drop. When dormant and the stone rests, it appears to be a deep red in hue, but when active, it is as if the changing shades of fire are held captive in a crystal-esque prison. It is rumoured that this unique piece has elemental attributes endowed upon it by the fire cult. The necklace was presented to her by a young Vahn Fah. Despite that the gift was bestowed upon her out of ceremony, she never takes it off, it is one of her most cherished possessions.

  • Mentis Signum (Enchanted Ring - Arian Relic)

    Presented to 'Teira' by Walter on Shadow Island, this Arian treasure is never taken off. Made of a piece of blackened and twisted metal, two semi-precious stones are set into the piece. One the colour of freshest crimson, the other the deepest black of night. The two halves circle each other much like like the two haves of yin and yang.

    • BLACKSTONE (Currently ACTIVE): When active, this stone binds the persona of 'Teira' securely in place. It suppresses all memories of experiences the individual had prior to losing her identity. This precaution was taken by Walter to stabilize her mind and suppress her natural arcane abilities.

    • REDSTONE (DORMANT): When it is time for the persona of Sierra to reawaken, the blackstone will cease to glow and will the gem will crack slightly. In turn the redstone will light up, binding Sierra as the dominant and sole identity, freeing her memories and abilities.


    This ring prevents intrusion of the mind such as psychic commaning and possession or mind erasure. Currently, the ring is worn by the persona of 'Teira' thus the BLACKSTONE is glowing and the redstone is dull.

  • Her Instuments: Sierra has modest but beautiful collection of instruments containing various variations of flutes a harp and a lute.

  • Old Leather Folder: A folder made of worn leather and wrapped with cord. Worked in the leather is the insignia of the Altharian royal house. Inside are old letters, drawings, paintings of people from her past, and more recently, photographs. It is very personal and she keeps it tucked away in a safe place.

FIGHTING STYLE

Melee and Ranged.



  • BIL'AKEN DIE'NA (Bladed Dance): An elven fighting art, it was developed by a dance master from the province of E'lun, during the first chapter of the Elf Wars and was later perfected during the second chapter. The dance master taught it to her students who held no previous weapons training. During the time of the war, she had been left with only female students. All able bodied men had been called into service by the clan's elders. The dance form incorporated both long and short, lightweight straight blades, the ceremonial swords used during rituals as well as the much carried hand held fan, which was considered to be a fashionable accessory and not dangerous.

    Focusing on maintaining graceful flow of one's movements and energy, it requires active meditation to master. Masters of Bil'aken Die'na, synchronize with their surroundings and suss out a harmony compatible with their opponent's motions. This allows them to 'feel' the enemy and often move with or inside of their actions, calmly keeping pace.

    The Bil'aken Die'na sword form, is very rapid and quick moving using mostly the tip of the sword for thrusts and consequently stabbing moves. However, quick sliding and flicking movements of the blade's edge result in cuts. BD Moves concentrate on joints, tendons and majour arterial vessels.


    • Magi and Bil'aken Die'na

      Some masters have been known to practice what later was named Bilak'en Eynos or Bladed Elements. These masters were magi with strong elemental abilities, and could reinforce their movements with a chosen element.

    • Empathy and Bil'aken Die'na

      Empaths like Sierra, struggle for years to focus their empathetic channels while maintaining an open connection to their surroundings and opponents energy. The overwhelming strain of 'feeling too much' often limits progression of skill for the first few years of training. However, if the pupil endures, once an empath finds their 'flow of feeling' they make the most skilled and dangerous Die'nnas (Dancers).

    • Bil'aken Die'na and the Elven Culture

      Either gender may be instructed in the art of Bil'aken Die'na, however, it became recognized as the official dance of lady courtiers and of courtesans. On elven holidays, Bil'aken Die'na demonstrations are staged for the public and free workshops are hosted by participating dance masters. There are also competitions and exhibition matches organized as a way to celebrate the art form and showcase talented Die'na war'n. (dancing warriors).

  • TAIJIQUN: An internal martial art that progresses from the inside out. It seeks to regulate the mind, will, breath, and qi (ch'i) in order to let the body follow.

    Seeking harmony with life and unification with the universe (the "Supreme Ultimate"), It has been called moving meditation. It's forms are performed slowly, with continuous motion, and its energy is
    circular and never ending. Taijiqun key elements are relaxation and suppleness.

      Sierra specialized in Tai Chi Jian (sword) and fan forms.

    • Sierra began to study this form after she arrived on Gaia, adapting to it quickly due to the way it resembled the elven sword form of Bil'aken Die'na (Bladed Dance)

  • ARCHERY: Sierra's mother was a skilled archer and saw to it that Sierra had the appropriate instruction in the way of both Long Bows and X-Bows. While she doesn't mind archery for fun or for hunting, on the battlefield she prefers blade work. She rarely uses a bow in battle. Her bows 'Wind Song' and 'Little Wind' were basically retired when her days as a mercenary came to an end.





† LOOK TO THE DEFENSES

  • Armour of De'muhn (Elven Set - Light Armour - ENCHANTED)

    Can only be worn by a demon or those of demonic decent. The armour of De'muhn was rumoured to have been crafted by a warlord in the time of the true Ancients. His smiths laboured for three lunar cycles pouring sweat and blood into the armour that would protect the demon woman their lord had fallen in love with. Enchanted by his most powerful magi, he ordered the armour be a testament of his love. Charmed against deterioration and destruction of both natural and preternatural causes. It was said that the demoness was carried through every battle safely. But battle stole his love away from him and out of jealousy for her love of the fight, stole back the armour as a means to dissuade her from leaving. She fought anyway and on that day was dealt a lethal blow, the inferior armour could not withstand the sword thrust that pierced her heart. Blaming himself for her death he took his life and the armour was forgotten about.

    Ra'kar, hearing rumours of the legendary armour, influenced Sierra to go in search of it. After a year and a half long quest, she located the Armour of De'muhn beneath a shrine in the mountain cavern where the woman from the tale was supposedly buried. Pleased to find the armour in perfect condition just as the rumours had promised, and had the armour refitted.


    • Haubergeon of De'muhn - Essentially a sleeveless shirt made of the lightest mail armour.

    • Cuirass of De'muhn - This piece, fits over top of her Haubergeon and beneath her battle raiment. Contoured to her body, and tooled with elvish ornamentation, it is burnished with gold. It protects her front and sides primarily, and is open backed as not to hinder her wings.

    • Faulds of De'muhn - Faulds are an element of plate mail and are worn beneath the curaiss to guard the waist, hips and thighs.

    • Tassets of De'muhn - These attatch to her faulds and protect her thighs more thoroughly.

    • Spaulders of De'muhn -Unlike 'pauldrons' these protect only the upper arms and shoulders, not areas of the chest and back.

    • Greaves of De'muhn - Essentially these are like medieval shin guards. A plate of metal backed onto leather. These fasten onto her boots and wrap around the front of her lower leg from the ankle to below the kneee.

    • Sabaton's of De'muhn - These protect the top of the foot. A series of metal plates that end in a nasty, tapered point at the toe to enhance the ferociousness of kicks. They attatch about the heel and ankle.


    Weight Reference: While it looks heavy, a full plate armour set can be as light as only 20 kg (45 pounds) if well made of tempered steel. The armour of De'muhn is not truly a 'complete' set and it is of elven make. It weighs in at a total of 23lbs.

WEAPONS of CHOICE


  • Aelael Thosi or 'Elven Fire' - Elven Long Sword ( 4ft ) - Weapon of Legacy

    Wielded by the Endarian 'Tastol os Thasti' (Champion of Flame). The sword was bestowed upon Sierra by King Kia'nthel'drasht'en'esti for defending his kingdom against the treachery of the Council, as a parting gift before he was secreted away into safety.

      QUESTS and RITUALS

    • BLOOD OATH (Ritual): Successor is selected by the reigning King or Queen and tested by the blade. The candidate for champion grips the hilt and draws the free hand across the blade, letting it drink of their blood and taste their worthiness. If accepted, the blade will heal the wound, leaving a fire shaped scar across the palm, branding them as master and Champion of Flame. If they are rejected, flame will lash out with harmful intent. As champion, an oath of allegiance is sworn, to protect Althair from her enemies.

  • The Legendary Blood Sword Mraer'ith - Demon Sword - Organic Weapon

    This sword is the most unique weapon in her arsenal. A sort of 'birth rite', the sword is a living extension of her physical self, a material manifestation of her demonic capabilities.

    Legend says that before the entity Ra'kar'shei'lian was corrupted during the Great Elf Wars, the Lady of Flame and Shadow wielded a beautiful blade made from the blood of Endar'ah, tempered by the elements of fire and darkness. But as Ra'kar's soul became tainted with the corruption of the elves senseless bloodletting, her persona was warped into something hideous. The taint spread to the blade and twisted the weapon into a gruesome horror.

    The blade is quite literally, carried within her. As of yet, the blade can only be drawn on when she is embracing Ra'kar's soul.


  • Tail Spine - Armour/Weapon

    • Encases her tail
    • jointed armour with serrated spines along it's length.
    • Has barbs at the end of the tail that act like a metal flail.
    • If impaled by her tail, the victim will find out that the barbs go in easily but twist, tear and shred coming out as they anchor themselves in flesh and innards.



  • Moraes os Thys Myr (Sisters of Four Souls) - Set of 4 daggers (6'' )

    Made prominently of a Silver/Ademantine alloy, much like Elven-Fire... The silver in the blade promotes slower healing of wounds in supernatural beings such as were creatures.
    • 2 are placed in wrist sheathes
    • 2 in her boot-tops.

WEAPONS RESERVE


  • Sydrol Shadi - Throwing Blades (4'')

    - She carries about 10 of these, 5 belted to each thigh beneath the skirt of her battle kimono for easy access.


  • Long Blade - (1 ft)

    - Kept in a spine sheath that doesn't hinder her movements or her wings.
    - Mastered sheathing/unsheathing with her hair tied up so that she doesn't wind up giving herself a haircut.


  • Shol Myl (Wind Song) - Elven Long Bow

    - Like most elves, Sierra is skilled in archery. Although this is not her primary weapon of choice.
    - She will opt to use it on a contracted mission, or if their will be distance fighting involved.


  • Jhori Shol (Little Wind) - Compacted Cross Bow

    - Sierra is more likely to use this bow than her larger and more conspicuous long bow. It is easily concealed.
    - The bolts are small, about 5'' in length but made of a light, yet durable metal that flies true to it's mark. The tips are ademantine and sharpened to point that will pierce most armors.
    - Usually stashes about 15 of the tiny bolts in her obi-sash.
    - Used for stealthy, ranged attacks when throwing knives are unsuitable.



NATURAL WEAPONS

Wings:
Offensively: Sierra will use her wings to beat her opponents with hammering blows that can easily stun them or break bones with their crushing force. Her wings are also amazingly adept at acting as extra limbs and 'wrapping' around arms or legs or even torsos and ensnaring her prey.
Defensively: Her Feathers, while although soft to touch are as resilliant as dragon scales and therefore make a natural shield to wrap about herself, should she need it.


Tail:

Claws: When in her demonic form she has the ability to lengthen her nails, more like retractable claws as you'd see with a cat

LIST OF NATURAL ABILITIES

  • ELEVATED SENSES(Innate Racial Abilities)

    • ELVENSIGHT: Elves innately have amazing eyesight. Her father's Cerestian blood waters down this ability, but her mother's Kastian blood makes up for it. The Kastian mountain elves are an offshoot of the Turesian wood elves, who are known to have the sharpest sight of all.

      • Small objects: Clear, detailed vision up to 250 yards.
      • Large Objects: Clear, detailed vision up to 500 yards.

      With seeing like that, it's no surprise that things rarely go unnoticed or escape her keen eyes.

    • KEEN HEARING: Those long pointed ears aren't just for show! Her hypersensitive hearing can be a double edged sword however--

      • Advantages: She can hear the softest sounds up to 300 yards away. Normal speaking voices are easily heard at 600 yards and anything loud is clearly heard at 900 yards. These ranges vary depending on the extent of noise in the area. She cannot hear as far away in the city where her senses are bombarded, but in cases of quiet surroundings she can at times hear further.

      • Disadvantages: She is extremely susceptible to sound based attacks. Unless she is wearing enchanted earplugs, these kinds of attacks can overwhelm her senses and cripple her leaving her vulnerable and disoriented.

        It also makes it hard to tolerate the hustle and bustle of city sounds for very long. The natural noise of densely populated areas 'cause constant migraines that leave Sierra in a great deal of discomfort. Thus she prefers the quiet of her countryside estate or the peace of remote villages.


    • THE NOSE KNOWS: As all her senses, Sierra's sense of smell is heightened. While an elf's nose is not as keen as that of animalian and were races, she can pick out scents on the wind from great distances. If it is a smell she does not recognize or smell often it will stand out in contrast to the background of smells she accustomed to.

      She is particularly attracted to the scent of delicious food stuffs.

    • PERSONAL SPACE: Her awareness of her surroundings and of herself result in reliable impulses that alert her to stray objects that she might otherwise bump into or trip over. Her trust of her body's awareness lets this happen as part of her subconscious without second guessing.

      • BONUSES: compliments her natural grace and her fighter's intuition.



  • AGILITY:

    • SPEED DEMON: Elve's are known for their lithe and light builds, enabling swift and speedy movements. Her reaction times and movement speeds are naturally twice that of a human's. As a de'muhn incarnate, she can experience greater speeds when embracing her darker self. When embracing her De'muhnian soul, her speed doubles.

    • NIMBLY BIMBLY: Even without training in gymnastics and acrobatics, elves are naturally nimble. Sierra's natural ability to move through crowded areas and rough terrains is remarkable. She is quite adept at moving on solid ground, or higher in the treetops.

    • STEP LIGHTLY: Known for their incredible stealth, it is said that an elf can be standing directly before or behind you and you will have not noticed their approach. Silent and sure, their ability to sneak up on their targets or simply to sneak about ot away unnoticed is hard to match.

    • DEXTERITY: Elvenborn, her already natural grace and handling of things, was further conditioned by training with various masters under various styles of coordination. Practicing everything from writing, to weapons handling to playing instruments, heightening her hand-eye-coordination. Her delicate hands move with a firm but gentle and assured grace, her movements fluid and delicate in appearance.

Personality: Sierra is an intricate puzzle of emotions. Generally appearing outwardly calm and reserved, she brings peace and serenity to those around her, soothing them with her velvetine voice, enchanting grace and eerie beauty. She is very passionate about the things and people she cares for and can be extremely protective. She is very forgiving and compassionate and there are very few beings whom she bears a grudge, ((Namely The Council, her father and her teacher's son, Lord Shin'athel'en'dros)). Generally peace loving, when her anger is sparked she has a temper like wildfire and the damage can be boundless. She also has a tendency to try and brighten life by facing life head-on with an optimistic, upbeat and at times, endearingly cute attitude.

Why does that Basic Suggestion look so familiar...? Wait, I know, thats exactly how I write all my character sheets. Gonna slap something in this post as soon as I actually complete some of them.

Should probably clarify between abilities and skills then. Essentailly the same thing, but the difference is innate powers go into the abilities category and learned or developed things go into the skills category. Probably easiest way to explain it.

Examples of abilities: control of elements, immunities and natural resistance, natural heightened senses, etc.
Examples of skills: learned skills, weapon proficiencies, fighting skills, spellcraft, divine gifts or enhanced traits, etc.

Appearance: Turriens looks as if he was a young adult human. His ears are covered by his shoulder length hair, hiding his elven heritage. Furthermore, he has a neatly trimmed mustache and goatee, facial hair to aid in his disguise. He is usually found wearing different clothes whenever he is found, yet they share the same basics. He wears a large hat with a large plume on it, a cape, a loose and flowing shirt, a vest overtop of the shirt, trousers, and black riding boots. Other than the boots, his attire is always bright and the colors don't match. He usually carries himself with a smile that seems to make him look clueless.
Personality: The happy-go-lucky swashbuckler is always in a cheerful mood, carefree and somewhat random. Sometimes he's overly loud, making declarations while at other times he just watches with a vacant smile. Lacking short term memory, Turriens usually forgets little things and in the end, it comes back to bite him in the a**.
Brief History: In his childhood, Turriens became an orphan after a war and was soon adopted by an elven family, mainly out of pity because of his mixed blood. Growing up with the elven ways, he has learned a lot, yet the human part of his has influenced some of his actions a lot. Leaving his home when he reached the age of 79, he wandered around, exploring the world, and picking up a few tricks while he was at it, learned at a time when he was an entertainer for a circus. Currently, he doesn't do much except for raid a house once in a while and give the spoils to the poor. Sooner or later, the law will catch up to him.

Abilities: He's human and posesses no innate abilities.
Appearance: Dark appears as a rather large human, heavily muscled at the upper body and arms, scars visible over his arms. People call him Dark for the dark clothing he wears, which covers him from head to toe; his legs are covered by black pants with boots that go halfway up his calves overtop of them, while his body is covered in a dark grey coloured vest. His hands and forearms are wrapped in a thich material like a glove, but is missing the fingertips, allowing him to use his sense of touch with the protection offered by the thick gloves. And his head is completely wrapped in a long dark cloth, leaving only a small horizontal slit of where his yellow eyes are.

Aside from his dark clothing that covers his body and gives him his name, there is something that glistens in the light, and that would be cold hard steel. He always carries his weapon with him, carrying the 8' crescent bladed polearm in his hands or on his shoulders, but the other bladed weapons are sheathed. The two swords he carries are sheathed horizontally at his lower back, their hilts sticking out the sides parallel to the ground. The four 'blades' however, are placed in scabbards around his body. Two of which form an 'X' shape across his back, their oddly designed ringed and bladed handles sticking up at his shoulders, and the other two 'blades' are sheathed at either side of his hips like any conventional weapon.
Personality: The life of a bounty hunter is rough and dangerous, which only reflects upon his person. Dark is a rough indiviual who's absurdly blunt in his dealings and the way he speaks with his grating voice. Generally he does not trust others, being wary of most everyone to an almost paranoid state, he is not easily surprised by sneak attacks.

Weapons:


Bear Claws: Silver bladed kunai he has specially made for him. Each one is shaped slightly like a Bears claw.

Wolf fang: Specially made damascus steel Wakizashi. The hand guard is an effigy of a wolf's head made of silver, the eyes being a deep gold color. At times the eyes and blade itself appear to shimmer or glow, especially at night. The blade sits in the open mouth. Hence the name, wolf fang.

His specially made battle-axe, that is simply nameless, has a Bear poised to strike on it. At times, the effigy appears to shimmer or glow a deep brown, even though it has no color except that of the silver blade itself.

For some reason, however they were created and the power linked between himself and them, these three weapons are unbreakable. This is probably due to the spirit link between them, as the weapons themselves appear to contain some of the spirit of the animal they embody.

Whatever a situation calls for. Usually carries a USP Tactical .45, loaded with silver nitrate jacketed hollowpoint rounds, in a thigh holster on his right thigh, Wolf fang in a sheath that's sewn into the inside of his trench coat, plus a number of Bear claws. (He likes the Japanese blades because they're small and easily concealable). His hunting for fun weaponry, on top of his basic load out, is an MP5K, also loaded with silver nitrate JHPs, and a silver bladed battle-axe, this is his personal baby of bladed weapons.

For bigger jobs, he'll use either an M4 Sopmod or F2000 assualt rifle. If the situation calls for more, he can add a M203 40mm grenade launcher or a 12 gauge shotgun to the M4. He keeps in stock various types of rounds for Demon or Vampire hunting.

To go with this, he has access to various other firearms, explosives and bladed weapons.

Armor:


His leather trenchcoat is lined with kevlar to level II standard. Also sometimes wears a Kevlar tactical assault vest, at level III standard.

Equipment:


Will sometimes wear a LCE (Load Carrying Equipment) that carries extra ammo, grenades, Night Vision Goggles, some utilities, usually at least a grappling hook, depending on what he needs, food, camel hydration pack, and basic field medical gear for stabalizing someone severly wounded in combination with his tactical vest.

His tactical vest holds ammo, grenades, Cell Phone with imbedded GPS and a lock pick kit.

His trenchcoat also acts as a small Load Bearing Vest with various hidden and extra pockets and pouches. Carrying ammo for his pistol, wolf fang, bear claws, Cell phone with imbedded GPS and lock pick kit, (switches them over to his vest when he wears it) and has a holder for his battle-axe in the back, (ala Blade, just with an axe instead of a sword).

If he's going on a long journey, he can also attach a rucksack to his LCE/Tactical Vest combo which would hold more food, ammo, maps, sleeping mat and cooking items.

Skills:

Expert marksman with firearms and crossbows, decent longbowman. Decent hand to hand combatant using his own style that combines other styles, mainly Tae kwan do, Jujitsu, Muay Thai and a little Karate, tends to boil down to an organized form of street fighting and brawling for all intents and purposes. Can fight fairly well with swords, but prefers to use his battle-axe since it suits his strength and can weild it rather well. Probably his best fighting weapon for close quarters, especially when used in tandem with his fighting style.

Abilities:

Physic, mostly telepathic, though he has a slight telekinetic ability, mainly allowing him to form a protective barrier, but can move objects as well, or push someone, or something, very forcefully, (kinda like a Jedi thing, only not). His telepathy seems to be strongest with animals for some reason, he doesn't know why, allowing him to communicate with them. This communication being strongest with Wolves and Bears, but he can communicate with all animals. Just they may not communicate back.

He is also able to place 'suggestions' in a persons mind, not force them to do something, only suggest it. Depending on the persons mind or mental/pyschic strength, this will be harder, or will not work at all. However, on the average, normal human person, he could suggest they want orange sherbert, and they would most likely go and get some orange sherbert. Although this would NOT work if he was standing directly infront of them, and say, trying to get past them into somewhere he shouldn't be. So, say if he was in a fight, he couldn't suggest to the person he was fighting to go away. Though he could possibly implant a sense of fear or a suggestion it would be/is a bad idea to fight him if the persons mind is weak enough. His physic ability is mainly a defensive ability.

He uses Shaman magic to call upon the spirit of a Wolf or Bear to heighten his speed, strength and other abilities, though he cannot use both at the same time. However, his Shaman magic is not instantanious and requires an incantation to call upon either spirit. It is rather short, but still takes a few moments to work. Also, his offensive Shaman magic is mainly tied into his weapons. For example, he can only call upon the spirit of the Wolf if he has Wolf fang in his hand, and would only get a Wolf's agility and other attributes at such a time, or can only call upon the spirit of the Bear when he has his Battle-Axe in hand, and would only get a Bear's strength at such a time.

Though he can heal and use certain other Shaman magics without his weapons. This is somewhat of a skill as well as an ability, but his ability to use the Shaman magic the way he can, is from his bloodline. His Shaman magic is mainly an offensive ability.

Lastly, this seeming to be interconnected with both abilities, he has an ability to sense a beings presence by their soul or lifeforce. Also sometimes from their scent. Though this doesn't always work in beings like Vampires that have no scent or soul, but he can sometimes sense them due to this lacking, it's not very reliable with them.

Appearance:

Starting from the top, his dark brown hair reaches to his shoulders, usually loose flowing, though generally he'll have it tied back into a queue if he's out 'working' or 'hunting' to keep it out of his face.

His skin is rather pale, since he doesn't see much sun as he tends to do things at night. Though not overly pale, it's mostly a neutral skin tone, neither pasty white nor tanned.

His eyes vary with his mood, going from a light hazel to a deep, dark brown, that's almost black. They are usually a kind of deep hazel color. Also his eyes sometimes appear to shimmer in light, especially at night. Though his eyes are rarely seen, especially the apparent shimmer, as he wears sunglasses a lot, even at night, usually to hide his eyes.

He also has two tattoos, rather tribal and crude looking. There is one of a Bear on his chest and a Wolf across his shoulder blades. Whether there is symbolism to the positioning or not is not known, though the tattoos have been known to glow at certain times.

The rest of his face is fairly well defined. Though he's not usually seen clean shaven, tending to have a few days facial growth, giving him a rather rugged look.

The clothes he wears are generally suited to the enviorment he is in so he blends into the background better. Usually he wears dark clothes, black leather trenchcoat, black combats, black boots and black shirts are what he is most often seen in. And he almost always has on black combat fingerless gloves.

Overall, his physical shape is rather hard and muscular, not an over bearing sort of muscular, he has a fighters physique and is in what would probably be regarded as perfect shape as he works out regularly.

Personality:


He is usually a rather laid back and outgoing guy, to the point of being somewhat egotistical and is rather sure of himself, appearing to not have a care in the world, even about most people. Usually seen with a small smirk or smile on his face. Though this is really what he just shows people. Anyone that gets to know him will find out different. Though this isn't easy as he doesn't tend to let people get too close to him. Anyone who does manage this, he will give his all to them, and fight to the death to protect them. Also, even though he's usually an easy going kind of guy, if you piss him off, which is actually rather hard to do, or hurt someone he cares about, he will make you wish you had never heard of him.

Brief History:


Born to a middle class family in a small town, he always had the necessities growing up. Both parents always working, he pretty much learned to fend for himself for the most part, early on. His father was a military man, so Enness grew up with a love of weapons, particularly firearms, hand to hand combat and all things military. Learning to fight at a rather young age, he had a few issues due to his temper, which caused him to start travelling on his own when he was about 16. Spending a lot of time learning about his families past during his travels, he started to study animal spirits and mythology, this helped him to learn to control his emotions, and in turn learn more about his abilities and learn to control them, though he is always on a constant learning curve with them.

During his wandering, he became bonded with a Wolf, it is not a pet in any way, shape or form, it is a companion and even though it usually stays close to him, it comes and goes as it pleases and stays with Enness simply because it wishes too.

After a few years of learning about himself and his family, he joined the military, looking for a challenge and possibly a direction to his life. Though he quickly grew bored with it, prefering to have complete choice in what he does and it lacking the challenge he was looking for. He seperated from the service, and went his own way again. This is about the time he started hunting extraordinary or paranormal creatures. Finding he enjoyed the thrill of the hunt and challenge tangling with such beings posed, his travels started to finally have somewhat of a purpose. When he heard of something being a nuisance somewhere, be it a nest of Vampires or pack of Werewolves, he went to this place to clear out the problem. Then he started getting hired for his 'unique' services, which was really a perk of the job, an incentive.

Finally, he came to Gaia in search of someone and to continue his 'hobby'.

She can conduct herself with the graceful poise and calm demeanor, of a refined lady attending court... or she can be the outspoken, free-thinker that she really is. She tends to fall into the 'mother hen' role alot, always looking out for the well being of those around her. She is very in tune with the world about her and her relationship with nature and the pathenon of gods and goddesses that she serves are her life's focus. Sometimes... her psychic abilities will overwhelm her and at that point, she will withdraw from everything and everyone in a desperate attempt to clear her mind before losing herself to her abilities.

Arienh's irises are two-toned. The inner circle of colour, a bright and luminous gold. This ring of almost metallic colour explodes into an outter ring of rich emerald, framed by the dark lace of her full lashes.

Her hair falls to her knees in a rich casacde of auburn. A little more brown than copper. The sides are usually taken back in braids, intertwined with silk ribbons and ornementation. Her bangs are usually kept just out of her eyes by a simple gold circlet.

Her lips are full and sensuous, a deep crimson like that of a garnet, set into a delicate face that looks as if it were sculpted from flawless marble.

Arienh is usually dressed in medieval garb. She loves the fancy gowns of her time period, and while she finds pants practical, she rarely wears them. IF she must, she will wear a type of laced up slacks, with a loose gown overtop that still looks feminine, but does not impede her movements.

Occupation: Likely best described as a subclass of Druid, Arienh is an Ovate. The Ovates work with the processes of death and regeneration. They were the native healers of the Celts. They specialized in divination, conversing with the ancestors, and prophesizing the future.

Bio: Born the daughter of a noble during the middle ages, Arienh led a double life. An only child and the heir to her father's small kingdom... She was the dutiful daughter, beloved by the courts and sought by many a knight and young lord. While she did let many of her suitor's court her, she would often grow tired of their braun and narrowminded views they upheld. She was looking for someone to rule WITH, not someone to rule her. Much to her parent's distress she refused to marry...

Her grandmother on her mother's side had been the one who led her to the goddess Arianrhod. When she was 12, her grandmother died, but by then she had already had roughly 5 years of training in the ways of the Celts. Arienh felt a deeply rooted connection to her goddess and the other deities she served, she could not be deterred from her beliefs now. After the old woman passed on, Arienh missed her greatly... and while she still practiced what she had been taught... her progress seemed to dwindle. Thus an elder of Arianrhod was sent to claim the child. In secret, Arienh's new teacher schooled and trained her to be a gifted Ovate.

During this time, peace between pagans and christians had been unstable. Her father, a christan knight had forbidden the practice of 'heathen' magicks on his lands. When the Catholics outlawed paganism, Arienh was 17 and the young woman found herself in a horrible predicament. She would NOT give up her beliefs or the religion that she believed was her true calling.

By the protection of the night's shadows, she was concealed as she would sneak off to meet with her order. Noble Lady by Day, Outlawed Ovate by Night... Arienh lived in constant fear of being discovered. IF she was found out, she would be burned at the stake as a witch in order to redeem her soul... Many of her kind suffered this fate.

War broke out across the lands and her father's kingdom was no exception. Fearful that their ancestral line would be wiped out... Her father grew sick of his daughter's reluctance to marry. Her future was arranged for her and she was to be wed to a knight in two weeks time. The fact that Arienh despised her to be spouse only fueled the decision she made. For some time she had been contemplating fleeing. This new 'arrangement' was the last straw. 3 nights before the wedding... Arienh of Shalandre dissapeared on her way home from town. Thought to be bandits, or a wild animal... her body was never recovered.

After her 'death' and her escape from familliar lands... Arienh had the freedom to move about unrecognized. She adopted the name of her goddess in place of her family's... for her religion was all the family she needed.

It was dangerous for a lady to travel through war ravaged lands alone however, and Arienh found herself working as sort of mercenary, hiring out her skills as a healer.

(Welsh) "Silver Wheel", "High Fruitful Mother", "Star Goddess", Sky Goddess; Virgin Goddess of reincarnation; Full Moon Goddess. Because her myths are linked with jumping the broom, an event which is part of Pagan marriage, she can be called upon to bless Handfasting rites.

It all started a long long time ago on the Continent of Angara, also known as the land of Dragons. My kind had gone there to escape the eyes, ears, and weapons of the human civilization, and after a conflict called the Great War, we succeeded. In the heartland of Angara are the Bounty Plains, an area that prospers more than any other due to the large amount of nutrient rich soil. This green area of lush valleys, plains, rivers, streams, rolling hills, and beautiful forests provides much of the food for the dragon continent as well as the most comfortable living area of all the land. Here was where my town, the small town of Presea lay.

Presea was just a small town, nothing grand or marvelous to behold, but it was beautiful. The streets were made of bright cobblestone, the buildings were made of white stones, some wood, and they had roofs made of straw, tile, wood, or in some cases strong rafters held in place my pitch and straw. It was a bustling little place with vendors, markets, trading posts, shoppers, and the like running about trying to go about their daily business. A happy carefree town of farmers, merchants and pedlers.

I was a young kid in those days, long before any of these modern day inventions like guns or airplanes were invented. I was just as carefree as a young kid could be. I had a loving family, an older brother...heh, I even had a crush... her name was Vargus Kobayashi. Sweet girl she was... Light purple hair, stunning purple eyes, beautiful in every way. My mother and father always teased that I'd make her my bride someday. And just like little kids, I always denied it as I turned beet red.

Anyways, when I was about seven or eight, thats in dragon years not human years mind you, I began my warrior's training. It was custom for all young dragons to be able to defend themselves if problems like those in the Great War were to arise again. My teacher was an ancient old creature that we called Master Hamma. He was older than any other person living in our town, and knew his combat skill so well, he could still beat any of the younger more agiule students without much trouble on his part.

My brother was always the best fighter around until I got into the school as well. I may have been young, but I was talented with my swordplay, quickly reaching the higher levels since I beat everyone else in my class. My brother always told me that I'd never beat him, but then one day, I did. He was shocked, proud, but shocked. He kind of retreated into himself after that, drifting farther away from everyone. He'd train endlessly to try and get better, sometimes going without food or sleep for several days in a row.

Then, it happened. He became so involved in his fighting that he killed an opponent in a friendly training fight. Master Hamma expelled him for unnessecary violence, and the town exiled him after he went on a destructive rampage afterwords. We didn't hear or see hide nor hair of him for, in your time, 200 years. When he did return... He was different, changed, violent...and consumed by darkness. His shadow powers had gotten stronger with each villiage he killed. And through the trickle of news that reached Presea, we'd heard of quite a few...

The first thing he did was destroy the Town Council building, the ones who had exiled him. Then, he destroyed the training grounds and killed Master Hamma along with all the students. The town's militia men attacked him to try and stop him, but they couldn't touch him. He killed them all, without mercy...women...children...the animals...everyone... Then he moved to our house...

We were inside trying to figure out what to do when the roof was literally ripped from the building with terrible force. My mother and father tried to reason with him, but they couldn't do anything to stop his rage. He killed then too...right in front of me... After that, I went berserk. I grabbed my sword, my father's cloak, and suited up. I couldn't let him kill anymore people. He watched me do all of these things and laughed. He tried to tell me that it was hopeless, that he leveled the entire town without even trying, and that I would be a piece of cake. I yelled back at him angrily that I would do whatever it took to defeat him, and as those words left my mouth, he produced Vargus from behind him.

Immediately I dropped my sword and yelled at him to let her go, but he told me that he would, only if I gave up and surrendured myself. While he had been gone, Vargus and I had grown very close. We were so much in love that we would easliy die for one another, and thats what caused what happened next... Vargus kicked away from my brother and yelled at me to run. I tried to run, but as I turned, I heard a scream. I turned around and saw Vargus fall to her feet, a diagonal trail of blood running from her chest to her lower abdomen. I yelled out her name and ran towards her, thinking only that I had to do something to save her, anything to save her.

But as I ran towards her, a powerful blast of energy struck me that sent me flying. At that point, I knew that I had to fight... In order to save the one I loved, I had to fight. I picked up my sword, and my brother and I clashed in a horrible battle. After the fierce battle, I finally landed a powerful blow to my brother that unbalanced him and caused his own attack to explode, causing him to plummet to the ground and land with a crash. He looked up to me and held his bloodied and battered body, vowing to finish what he had started. Then, he vanished in a thick cloud of black mist...

I checked on Vargus to find that she was bearly alive, and as I held her, I felt her body go completely limp in my arms. I left what was left of my hometown soon after that, vowing that I would fight to become as strong as I could be, so that what happened to my family and town, would never happen to anyone again as long as I could stop it. Over the years, I lost more and more frineds due to my inability to perform and save them, only strengthening my resolve to become the best I could be, so I could protect anyone that I care about, no matter what happens to me...

Physical Description:

Hair - Ryugi's hair is spiked up, and tilted towards the right side of his head. Many people have wondered why his hair always seems to stand up and never get heavily messy. The reason for this is relatively simple. In reality, Ryugi's hair isn't hair at all. The hair is actually thousands of tiny hollow scales that are so great in number, they appear hair-like. The reason for the silvery color of his "hair" can also be explained. The scales are relatively clear and reflect most light, however, some is absorbed and gives the hair a slight silvery hue when viewed in normal sunlight. When darker, Ryugi's hair dims to a shade of grey due to the loss of ambient light. The scales are strong for their size and can are quite sharp at their tips, resulting in a nasty surprise if Ryugi were to fire them off at his opponents, which he has been known to do in rare instances...

Ears - Ryugi's ears are highly sensative, and are so finely tuned to the world around him, he is capable of picking through bits of a regular conversation from nearly two hundred feet away within a crowded stadium. Within the ear, Ryugi has a larger eardrum than a normal human being, which is connected to a slightly larger inner ear canal which is filled with the fluid which carries sound. The tiny hairs that send electrical impulses to the brain are much greater in number than any normal human being. This setup allows for more sound to be collected and analyzed which results in overall hightened hearing. However, this high level of hearing can also be a weakness since he is more vulnerable to attacks designed to attack an opponent's ears.

Eyes - Normally, Ryugi's crimson eyes are calm and warm, revealing his gentle soul and loving heart. His pupils are slitted much like a cat's, or reptiles, another hint that he isn't human despite his appearance. However, when angered, Ryugi's pupils contract even more, giving him an animalistic persona as he loses the usual highlight as his eyes take in more light to allow for better motion capture in a fight. Ryugi's distinctive red eyes are more than just for show. They also posess a powerful sense of vision sharper and clearer than many creatures in the world of Gaia. While his eyes are not any larger than normal, they do posess a much higher ammount of light collecting cells and powerful lense muscles that add to clarity and detail. His pupil can open large enough for sight in near darkness, but not complete, and contract small enough to avoid being blinded in most situations, but not all.

Smell - Ryugi's nose is packed full of scent receptors to detect various smells at once in similar strength to a bloodhound. It isn't as powerful as it would be in full dragon form, but it is enough to help him out in tough battle situations where no other sense will prevail. Sadly, this leaves him sensative to powerful odors. This is the main reason his scarf covers his mouth and nose. While not perfect, it lessens the ammount of sent being taken in at any given time.

Skin - Ryugi's skin is one of his less interesting attributes. It is somewhat pale, but still fleshy enough to leave him looking healthy and fit. His skin is also a type of scales, but these are far softer and more leathery than his hair. They are still similar to tiny dragon scales, and protect him from smaller wounds like papercuts and shrapnel from explosions. His skin is also highly resistant to temperatures, both hot and cold which comes from his Golden Dragon abilities. Hot temperatures do almost nothing to him since he is a flame elemental, and infact improve his strength and perfromance. Cold temperatures hinder his abilities very slightly, but are mainly ballanced out due to his clothing which insulates him.

Body (Human Form) - Ryugi's body is built slightly different than that of a normal human. His muscle is generally more stringy and stretchy than the tissue of a human being, which allows for faster movement, and more powerful punches and physical attacks. His bones are slightly less strong than those of a dragon, but still much more sturdy than human bones, and are resilient to damage as well as light weight due to their contsruction. Like a bird's bones they are mostly hollow and are supported by thousands of tiny bone struts. However, these bones are slightly bulkier than those of a bird for more strength and durability. His bones and muscles combined together form a strong frame and powerful motors for his body, but still leave him looking fit and trim rather than bulky and muscle heavy.

Equipment:(Dragonsteel is about as strong as tempered steel)

Underclothes - Immediately over his skin are Ryugi's underclothes. These consist of a white undershirt, black boxer shorts, and black cotton socks. Layered over these everyday items are Ryugi's hidden defenses. Over the white undershirt is a shirt of dragonsteel mail, that extends down to his waits and around his biceps, reinforced by woven dragonsteel threads sent in and out of the tiny mail loops, creating a sort of flexible armor with a thickness of about half an inch. The strands of dragonsteel are left to move about inside the mail in a fluid motion, making the armor thick, defensive, much lighter than regular plate mail, as well as much easier to maneuver in. The mail is removable by releasing the twenty-five or so metalic clasps that hold the equipment together in the rear. When hit, the mail also distributes force from physical blows, as well as protects against just about anything less than a solid stab, making it incredibly helpful in hand to hand combat as well as bladed combat.

Forearms - Under Ryugi's jacket and gloves lie his forearm guards. These are dragonsteel guards that curl around from the bottom of Ryugi's forearm to the top at a thickness of one eigth of an inch. These are solid dragonsteel, and hidden from view under Ryugi's upper garments. They're strong enough to deflect most bladed weapons without causing harm to Ryugi's forearms. This allows him to fight with less fear when it comes to blocking attacks from bladed weapons and allow for dispersion of force from blocked punches etc. Thes can also be removed by unbuckling two metal buckles at each end that hold the devices firmly around his arms. They are padded for comfort inside the curl as well, dulling force further, making them another helpful part of Ryugi's defense.

Boots - His boots have dragonsteel shin/kneeguards build right into them and are made light to vastly cut down on movement resrictions usually caused by such heavy equipment. The knee and shinguards cover Ryugi's shins and knees to a thickness of half an inch along with padding for comfort. When Ryugi stands still, the knee portion of the guard sits above his knee about one inch, anh when the knee is bent into a kneeing position, the guard sticks out past the knee, giving Ryugi a very painful kneeing attack if it is to strike the opponent. The soles of the boots are thick rubber with a metal plate running under the padding for the foot. This protects his feet from sharp puncturing objects, and tiny spikes protruding to the ground protects from electrical attacks as well, allowing most of the charge to flow out from his body with little harm. The toes of the boots are also dragonsteel, protecting him from any toe stepping that might occour, as well as giving him a painful kick. The boots themselves are made from thick dragonhide leather, donated by Ryugi himself, and are incredibly strong and durable to most attacks.

Jacket - Ryugi's jacket is also full of surprises. The jacket itself is made out of a thick black fireproof material that is reinforced by more dragonsteel threads for even greater protection against bladed attacks. The jacket is insulated and keeps Ryugi warm against most naturally occouring chilly temperatures, further advancing his natural temperature resistance. Inside the jacket are numerous pouches and compartments that allow easy storage for several smaller items, many of them trinkets from Ryugi's past that he cares for deeply. His reason for keeping them in his jacket is so that he can keep his loved ones close to his heart at all times, both mentally, and physically. They serve as a reminder that his friends are always there for him, be them dead, or alive.

Pants - Ryugi's pants have eighth-inch thick dragonsteel plates in the front of his thighs and around the back to protect his thighs from sword injury. These plates are held within the thick fabric of the pants by a series of double woven pouches that hold the plates in place. Just like Ryugi's jacket, his pants are also made out of the same fireproof material and contain dragonsteel threads. Their baggy appearance helps to conceal Ryugi's armor underneith and helps slightly to slow incoming bladed attacks as well as serve to protect aganst schrapnel and other sharp flying objects.

Scarf - Ryugi's scarf is perhaps as synonomous with his identity as his sword Ragnarok. The scarf is thick and strong enough to hold two people's weight easily, and has helped him survive rough times before, even if it can be a hinderance in battle. He only removes it when the figthing is getting serious, and he could use a small boost of speed by removing the drag of the scarf. The story behind the scarf is part of the reason Ryugi keeps it on him as much as possible. The scarf was given to him by a female mage named Kara, who passed away in the quest for Ragnarok. Ryugi has never loved another human being as much as he loved the girl. While originally given to Ryugi to keep him warm durring one of the group's colder exploits, it came to represent the pure white of Kara's soul and her neverending grace and beauty, even to her last and final moments. Ryugi wears it always to remind him that his friend is with him in spirit, and has at times reffered to the item as Kara in her memory.

Gloves - Ryugi's gloves are fireproof/heat resistant as well and have thick layers of woven dragonsteel into the palms as well as a plate across the back of the hand, allowing him to be able to grasp swords and other sharp objects without fear of injuring his hands. Unknown to all but Ryugi himself, the palms of the gloves are also given a special weave into the dragonsteel threads. This weave serves as an energy leyline, and allows for easier transfer of energy to, and from, Ragnarok for use by the fighter. The tips of the fingers on the gloves are covered with small clawlike tips that can act as scratching or slashing tools against an opponent.

Ragnarok - Last, but not least, is Ryugi's most powerful weapon. This special greatsword is nearly four and a half feet long, six and a half inches wide at the blade's widest point, and forged from the finest and strongest Dragonsteel. While not as large as some other greatswords (case in point, Cloud's Buster Sword) it is capable of absorbing energy, and then using the stored energy for a powerful attack against Ryugi's opponents. Many believe the sword to use magical means to absorb the energy, however, the true beauty of the weapon is its use of energy leylines. Ryugi controls the flow of energy into and out of the sword by changing the ammount of energy within his hands and arms. When the energy is low, the attacking energy is pulled through the leylines inside the sword, and held there by Ryugi who ballances the forces using his body. The leylines in Ryugi's gloves make this process much quicker and smoother to accomplish, however, it can be done without them incase they are somehow damaged. When the attack is to be launched, Ryugi fluxuates the energy to a high point in his arms, and then pushes the energy out through the leylines of the weapon for his attack. When this process is combined with energy from Ryugi's body, it makes for many powerful combinations for attack, and defense.

Over the years, Ragnarok has become "used" to Ryugi wielding it. Over time of Ryugi moving his energy through the sword, and the sword moving energy through Ryugi, the weapon has become connected to Ryugi's bodily energy, and Ryugi's body has become used to the sword's willingness to give or recieve energy from it. This has created a strange charge to the weapon, and a strange effect on Ryugi's bodily force. If the sword comes in contact with any ambient energy in the air, the energy enters the weapon through the leylines and then seeks to send the energy to Ryugi's body. When Ryugi's body is not there to recieve the energy, the sword pulses gently with the escaping energy. Ryugi's body naturally has a magical sense that can feel ambient energies within the air, and if his body is not feeling these soft pulses, his mind and body begin to search for the gentle pulses from the sword, his spirit feeling out across the planes in an attempt to make contact with the energy from the blade. The combination of these two odd occourances results in a tug towards the sword if the wielder and weapon are separated. If someone other than Ryugi attempts to wield the weapon, the blade attempts to make contact with the wielder by sending a powerful jolt of quickly absorbed energy to the wielder. If the wielder's body is not used to the distinctive pulses of the weapon, the energy will feel like a massive shock and blast to them, which effectively creates a barrier to anyone other than Ryugi wielding the sword.

Elemental Powers - Ryugi has only two elements at his command. His first and foremost is his flame elemental abilities, which have been with him since birth. Ryugi's body pulls raw flame energy from the Elemental Realm of Fire, filters it at a controled rate, where it is then used to create the many attacks seen on the battlefield. This supplies Ryugi with a practically endless supply of flame energy, however, simply because it is essentially endless, does not mean that he can use as much as he pleases at any given time without consequence. His secondary element was unlocked when he finally recieved Ragnarok at the end of his long quest. This element is the holy element of light, and it is light in both senses of the word. Both elements are drawn from their respective realms and filtered by Ryugi's body. Ryugi is able to draw as much energy as he wants from the realms at any given time, however, taking too much at once leads to Ryugi's body becoming tired and worn as it tries to filter more than it was meant to at once. So, while Ryugi may be able to tap into the realms and instantly launch one of his most powerful attacks, it would drain him consiterably to do so. This skill, referred to as a "Supercharge", is used with great caution and generally when Ryugi feels he can afford the gamble of a miss. In the worst case senario, Ryugi can offer his entire body to the realms for a massive attack, possibly, capable of destroying Leviathan Stadium with relative ease, however, doing so would result in Ryugi's death once the attack was finished.

TRANSFORMATION AND ATTACKS

By using the natural skill of a Golden Dragon, which allows them to alter their bodies, Ryugi changes his body into a human/dragon hybrid, giving him a 50% boost in all stats, and the ability to fly. Basic attacks include slashing claw attacks, quills being fired towards an opponent, and a basic flame breath created from two altered saliva glands in the back of the throat. Though the hybrid transformation is the base, it can be altered in other ways to give better protection to Ryugi throught the battle.

The base transformation takes one turn preparation and one turn actual transformation, and each new addition or change can be performed without charge time, as long as it is not terribly complex. Additions are limited to one per turn. While transformed, Ryugi can use all of his regular attacks, and still draw from the planes for power, giving him a formidable arsenal, however, all the charge times still remain intact and damage is the same as well. The only things that are changed are Ryugi's base stats.

Equipment:

Trenchcoat - Ryudo's trenchcoat in and of itself is a very capable defense against most bladed weapons, dragonsteel being sewn into the fabric. This makes it very difficult to cut him with any sharp object, however, a solid stab has the best chance of piercing the material, however, most stabbing moves can be fatal to the reciever, and therefore are usually not used in friendly spars and fights.

Boots - His boots are strong leather with dragonsteel plates fitted between leather "envelopes" which are part of the boot itself. This essentially makes a sandwich of leather, dragonsteel, leather. These plates cover the calf, shin, and thick leather covers the sides of the footwear for protection in between. The soles of the boot are thick solid rubber with a metal plate running the legnth above the rubber, under the padding for the foot. Unlike Ryugi's boots, Ryudo's have metal spikes protruding out about a quarter inch below the rubber, which are connected to the metal plate inside. This allows for expulsion of electrical energy out of Ryudo's body with far more ease than normal, meaning less damage from electric based attacks. The main focus here is due to the speed of electric attacks, and while Ryudo is able to sense the power buildup and the discharge of these attacks, as well as other energies, he is not quite fast enough to dodge them entirely even with the energy warnings and buildup awareness.

Abilities:
Psychic and Shadow/Dark

Elemental Abilities - Ryudo has control over the psychic aspect of his powers while Lethe has control over the dark and shadow powers. Ryudo is able to use both, however, he cannot use them at the same time. In order to use the shadow powers that Lethe adds to his arsenal, Ryudo must tap into Lethe's powers via his own shadow, which is where Lethe resides. As long as Ryudo is tapped into Lethe, he is able to use the dark abilities, but he has no access to his psychic abilities.

Ryudo - One of Ryudo's favorite techniques is able to block an opponent's magic entirely. This does not mean that his opponent cannot USE magic, it means that the technique disapates it as it is used. This attack works using Ryudo's psychic abilities to pull apart the energies surrounding an opponent or other object. Energy, including magical energies, is essentially charged particles of some sort that are grouped together to form a force or in some cases an item like an energy sword. All the phychic force does is pull apart the charged particles of the energy, dismantling its structure and disapating the energy. As strong as this attack may seem, it DOES have its weaknesses. It can be overcome with a large blast of magical power. Imagine a balloon filling with too much air. Its similar to this. The magical energy is too much for the force to disapate so the force breaks down. Other psychic abilities include levitation, telekenesis, and higher awareness than usual. Using the psychic abilities, and some natural ones as well, Ryudo is able to sense magical and physical energies around him, giving him a basic idea of where an opponent is even when in low visability areas, such as a dust cloud.

Lethe - Lethe is a sort of energy being that is in a symbiotic relationship with Ryudo. He lives in Ryudo's shadow and controls the shadow/dark aspects of the pair. His wavelength fluctuates on a high level, which allows him to exist in several planes of existance at once. These being the Shadow, Etherial, and Spiritual planes, among others. He can assume a physical form if given a portal of some sort, usually Ryudo's own shadow. Any shadow can be used as a portal except the shadow of another living being due to complications with the being's energy leylines. Once in the physical realm, Lethe is able to fight alongside Ryudo for extended periods of time where he and Ryudo can work together to tryand defeat the opponent before them. Lethe is able to fly and stands approximately ten feet tall if totally exposed from the portal, however, he can also fight with only his waist and upper body out of the portal as well, drawing more energy from it to recharge his batteries, so to speak. Lethe cannot die while in the physical realm and if defeated, he merely returns back into the space he occupies in Ryudo's shadow. He can, however, be injured if attacked on one of the other planes of existance. Even then, he cannot die there, but will simply return to a state of existance that is too faint to attack or injure while he heals and recouperates. This recouperation period lasts about three to four days depending on how seriously he had been beaten.

Merging - A new technique gained by Ryudo when he joined with Lethe, many many years before he set foot in Leviathan. Essentially, Ryudo joins bodies with Lethe in a sort of symbiotic physical fighting body called Synch. When in this form, Lethe and Ryudo's strengths are combined, physically speaking. Lethe has a high strength stat and when combined with Ryudo's high strength stat, they make a powerful force to be reckoned with. The body that is created is strong and thick enough to take most blows from bladed weapons, as well as most lower key magical attacks. The "skin" of this body is very similar to the skin of the Shadow Spawn. When defeated, the two bodies split and Lethe returns to Ryudo's shadow to recouperate. Ryudo is physically tired and may need to use his psychic powers to assist him to continue fighting and moving around. If you've gotten this far, Ryudo may be close to defeat.

Weaknesses: While powerful, Ryudo does have several weaknesses. The biggest one of all being physical attacks, except when in his Merged Form with Lethe, and even then, you'll have a better chance defeating that form with physical attacks than abilities. In his merged form, Ryudo has several weak points on his body, as does any other living being. These being his eyes, the inside of his mouth, his ears, and his notrils, as well as major joints. As with all fighters, Ryudo is strong, but not invincible. Ryudo's main gift in fighting is his abilities to move around quickly and to hinder his opponent's abilities, as well as wear down on them with speedy attacks with SEEMINGLY no real charge time. The secret to this is that Ryudo is constantly charging up energy for his attacks throughout the entire battle. If he's careful with this, he can charge more energy that he uses with each consecutive attack, meaning he still has more left over even after a decent attack, although less than he had.

Ryudo's high points are in his attack and speed, but he has low defense, meaning he takes much more damage than one normally would. While he can fend off magic attacks with relative ease, he is quite weak to physical blows. Lethe is a high attack, high defense fighting force, but has low speed, making him vulnerable to quick attacks and several forms of magic. The merged form is high attack and defense, although lower in speed, trading that stat for a much higher power and defense.

Personality: Ryudo has a very deep and complex personality. He does pretty much whatever he pleases, be it consitered good or evil. He hates humans and wishes for them to be wiped from the surface of the planet. He hates them for their hunting for dragons to near extinction before they were able to settle on Angara. Due to this extreme point of view, he is generally consitered evil by most people, howver, by dragons, he is in mixed company. Some like his attitude, while others believe he is far too extreme and liberal in his opinions. Just because he is your friend one day, doesn't always mean he will be the next time you meet.

History: Ryudo's history is shrouded in mystery for the most part, other than his little escapade with Ryugi early on in their lives. Its rumored that he left Angara soon after he was defeated by Ryugi, and began looking for ways to get stronger. He trailed Ryugi after he found out that his brother was in the Lands of Man, and they clashed numerous times over the years until he finally landed at Leviathan Stadium.

Race: Human, for the most part. It is a legend in her family that there is mer blood, but she doesn't believe it. ((which means it's a lie))
Birthplace: In a small town by the sea. She was orphaned quite young, and Captain John Starling, the infamous pirate, adopted her.
Nationality: None for certain. She's never spent enough time in any one place to be called a citizen of land. She is, however, a citizen of the sea.
Occupation: Treasure seeker, former first mate of the ship 'Starling' and pirate.

Eye Color: Siryn's eyes are silver in colour. Although they look to be ignorant, they are always scanning the perimeter, assuring her safety. They are such a light colour, that many assume she is blind at first glance, which generally gives her an advantage in fights. One of her eyes is also covered in a patch featuring a jolly roger. The eye was blinded during the mutiny.
Hair: Auburn hair that curls about her shoulders. It's usually held up with a length of twine or a string of some sort.

Weapons: A long bow made of a hardwood only found on the island she was born. It weighs about three pounds and can reach adistance of 110 feet, which is useful when firing from ship to ship. She also carries a scimitar, whose curved blade makes the weapon effectively sharper. She carries this at her waist. Strapped to her back is a two bladed sword, which she only carries when expecting trouble, or the like. She also has a wickedly curved knife attached to the opposing side of the scimitar.
Appearance: Being taller than most women and as tall as most men, Siryn has an intimidating air about her. She isn't beautiful by any means, being more of a handsome woman. She has a strong set jaw and a wide forhead with bangs that are too short. The rest of her hair comes down to her shoulders but is generally tied back with twine or some other sort of fastener. Her eyes are permanently outlined in a coal black. She has broad shoulders that are usually left uncovered and are a deep tan colour, as is the rest of her skin.

She generally is found wearing white or tan over the shoulder loose shirts with underbust corsets or regular bustiers on top. she has a thick red sash that's tied about her slim waist and a weapon's belt over top of it. She wears both skirts and breeches of varying modesty, depending on what sort of thing she needs to get done. Her black boots come up to her knees.

She is a master of disguise but is usually found dressed like any normal pirate wench.
Personality: Siryn is not a very serious person for the most part. She likes to drink and make merry with everyone. She's not usually one with enemies either. She has an easy smile and loves to tell jokes. She's a willing and eager lover. Her personality has changed quite a bit recently, however. She is now quiet, subdued and rarely speaks. She constantly seems distracted or not altogether there. She's focussed inward now, and does not make friends nearly as easily as she used to.

Brief History: For most of her life, Siryn was happy. She spent the most part of it on the Starling with her adoptive father and the crew. She learned the ways of the pirate, but even though she cheats and steals for a living, she was still raised up to be a good woman. Haveing been on the older side when he adopted her, by the time Siryn reached her twenties, Captain Starling was readying himself to retire. As his first mate, Siryn should have gotten the ship and the post as Captain.

That was not what occured, however. Mere weeks before the Captain was to relinquish his position to her, Mutiny occured on the Starling. The scallywag Loath O'Reily lead the rest of the crew to rebel and murder Captain Starling. They'd intended on murdering Siryn as well, but instead they marooned her on an island. She was picked up about a week later by a comerade ship and brought to shore.

Now Siryn has nothing left. She lost her Father, and her family wants to kill her. So she ran. And she finds herself here, at the Dark Sakura Blossom Guild.

ALIAS: 'Kashou Kage' or 'Kashou no Kage' it translates to: Shadow's Song or Song of Shadow. There is significance to which word for 'Song' was used in her name. Another meaning for 'Kashou' is 'temporary name'.

WEAPONS:

Section Staff - A staff that can seperate for a total of 6 sections. When connected it can be used as a solid weapon. But when staff fighting is inappropriate or the wielder has a sneaky oppening, the staff will seperate with lengths of chain beneath each section. It can be then used like a whip or as multi jointed nunchaku.

Nunchaku - Nunchucks are used as flails, but they can also be used to choke, strangle or otherwise restrain an opponent. The handles can be used to block attacks and also to poke or spear. The handles are also useful as truncheons (as opposed to flails). Kage's are made of Solid 12'' sticks of wood. Stained black and inset with metal studs. They are connected by 5 inches of chain.

Wakazashi - The hilt forms a beautifil black dragon and is inset with a ruby. More comming on this sword later.

Katana - A gorgeous black sword with bamboo depicted on the hilt and scabbard. Modelled after her mother's katana, Kage's is identical but with silver detailing in place of the gold

Ninja-To - The ninja's version of the tonto, it never leaves her belt. When a ninja eneters their home or another's home it is customary to remove any long swords. This smaller sword however, stays put. You will hear Kage refer to it as the 'Keeper of her Honour' from time to time... she is NEVER without it.

Eyes - Kage's eyes are a light silvery grey... dull yet bright with the sharpness of her mind. Looking into her eyes, you might think at first that she is blind, but after only a moment of being in this woman's presence, you will realize that she misses nothing.

Hair - When Kage was a little girl, her hair was quite long. Platinum it looked as if moonlight itself was spun into silken strands and cascaded about her face. But when her mother died... leaving her as the sole survivor of her clan... she cut her hair in mourning. Since then she has kept her hair shoulder length.

Skin - Kage's strange eyes and platinum hair are exotically offset by the darkness of her skin. A rich coco, her chocolately, tanned skin only seems to make her unique features stand out all the more strikingly.

Face - Her face is delicate, yet nothing about this woman's appearance seems fragile. She seems to radiate with knowledge and an intense innner strength, despite her young age.

Clothing - All of Kage's gear is black... the only colours that accentuate her appearance are silver and ocassionally red.

PERSONALITY: Due to the circumstances of her upbringing and the path that she follows, Kage has never been very sociable.
She rarely made friends as a child. Other than her mother, she has never known love except for the dedication and passion that she channels into her profession. She gets along with very few and will hardly ever be seen near 'outsiders' unless a mission demands it of her. She has a rather suspicious and calculating nature and she weighs the loss and gain of every action she performs... always looking ahead to what the outcome will be. She is ALWAYS aware of her surroundings and everything taking place within them.
Men have never been anything but an irritant and an obstacle in her life... She is more likely to be attracted to a man for the challenge they might present her, than anything romantic. ALTHOUGH... Be forewarned... Kage is a bit of pervert... Not to mention... she's well. Psychotic at times >_<;
When she is staying with or working a clan for an extended period of time, she will tend to be a little more open and relax a bit at having a familliar atmosphere. Then she might 'hang out' with other shinobi... still she will remain guarded... keeping her past to herself.


BRIEF HISTORY:

A clan lost to the sands of time... the name of it's people long forgotten... expect by one. Kashou no Kage is the daughter of the faded clan's sole survivor. Trained from the time she was a small child in the ways of her mother's people, she is the guardian to the lost past. After her mother died, Kage never again spoke the precious name of her ancestors. She guards it with all her being until the day that she might reistablish the lost village and pass on the knowledge that she carries within her heart and mind.

Kage passes her time working as an assassain for hire.

:: Appearance ::

Eyes: Shin has the slightly slanted and almond shaped eyes typically attributed to an elf. His lashes are thick and a raven dark as his hair. His pupil is an orb of polished obsidian, ringed by duel shades of green. The ring that surrounds the pupil is of a deep and dark emerald. The second ring is of a much brighter emerald, the kind of green that shines like a polished gem. Finally the iris is encircled by a last, thin lining of darkness that makes his eyes just 'pop'.

Skin: His skin is slightly dark for one who is descended of the High elves, this is due to his mixed blood. Half wood elf, his skin is just very lightly bronzed.

Hair: Straight as an arrow, it cascades over his shoulders and back in long lengths of silken ebony. Shin's hair varies between trims... He never lets it get past knee length... But he doesn't like it much shorter than his waist. When the light hits it, sometimes the green hues of his clothing will be reflected in the tints and highlights of his hair. The elves are a prideful race, and they are fond of ornementation. This is mostly true the High elves... Shin adopted their liking for long silken hair, it is a sign of nobility and of beauty. During ceremonies and formal occassions, glass beads and bits of crystal and gold as well as gems and silk ribbons, will be braided into his hair. His hair is often worn tied back, held by a leather throng.

Clothing: Shin is slightly vain about his phsyique and likes to wear form fitting tops that show off his well toned torso. Generally he wears a skin tight, tank top with a high collar. Sometimes he will don a fancy overcoat with fancy emroidering, but usually he prefers his cloak.
For pants, Shin wears soft, black leather breeches.
Overtop of that, He wears a lengthly sir-coat that parts at the center-front of the waist. It might look like skirt-like, but tease him and he won't care. The sir coat has a long flawless black flap that covers his groin and falls to his calves. The rest of the skirt-like garment is a faded, charcoal black. The hem is trimmed in elvish stitching, the beautiful pattern sewn with green. There is a shorter part to the garment that falls to just past his knees in a tappered point towards the front. This overlaying piece of material is of rich greens, that seem to change hue depending on how the light strikes it. The whole sir-coat is held in place by a detailed and tooled, black leather belt. Composed with a series of straps, it is accented and inlaid with emeralds.
Shin wears black leather gloves that reach to his elbow. The left glove is slightly fancier, and has extra leather dyed a forest green to match the rest of his trim. Black leather lacing travels further up his arm, crossing over his smooth flesh. His right glove however, is encased in a large, blackended steel bracer.
Over boots of black, Shin straps on greeves, crafted of the same blackened steel as his bracer.

Jewellery: Sometimes Shin will wear gold and emerald bangles about his upper arms, but usually only at formal occassions. His ears and neck are usually the only thing decorated, with the exception of his hair during ceremonies. His ears are usually ornamented with gold hoops and cuffs, while his neck is graced by an emerald pendant.

Personality: Shin tends to keep to himself for the most part. He has a guarded past that he shares with few... mostly because talking about it tends to betray certain feelings he'd rather keep hidden from the world. When he does interact with others though... he tends to be a bit of a cold p***k with other men. Get him around a lady though and butter would melt in his mouth. Shin has a high respect for women, something he learned a little too late... However, this late bloomer is quite chivalrous and has a way with words.
