First Tome - Endarah's Daughter
PROLOGUE - Pt. 1 - THE ELF WARS
On the Altharian continent of Endar'ah, dwell the beloved of the gods, the elves. A race whose beauty is unparalleled, like breathing sculptures they are the embodiment of physical perfection. They are the oldest race to inhabit Endar'ah and are considered her chosen people.
For thousands of years, the true ancients... the originals and eldest of elves, lived in peace. Together with their patron Deity's the elves and gods combined their energies to create four elemental avatars. One of Air and Light, One of Thunder, Lightening and Wind, another of Earth and water and the last... of Fire and Darkness. These entities all created in the image of woman. All created of their respective elements. Nurturing and protective, they were the guardians of elves and of Endar'ah herself.
But as a new generation came into power... the balance that the elders had maintained, rapidly began to deteriorate. This second generation of elves was conceited and greedy. They sought power amongst themselves, each clan thinking that they were superior and better suited to lead. The elves formerly pure of heart were tainted with greed, selfishness and violence entered their hearts. The nation erupted in civil war, as the different clans warred for dominance. The conflicting energies that had helped give the four Guardians birth, warred within them. The shattered harmony of their souls drove them insane. The avatars regressed to a primal frame of mind, taking on a demonic form as their souls and hearts were twisted. They rampaged, seeking to silence the fighting within by slaughtering the warring clans and destroying all in their paths, laying waste to the Altharian landscape.
The fallen avatar's reign of terror lasted 3 long years before two clans united long enough to seal the enraged entities away. Fearing that someone would harness their power in an attempt to attain rule of Althair, the Avatars were ordered destroyed by the Nobles of the two clans, despite the protests of the Elder Elves.
The four demons destroyed, the elven people celebrated. Seeing the two clans who had destroyed the avatars as their deliverers, they became the ruling clan. The clan of Tri'ah'tel and Syr'nin'dl merged becoming an elite class of 'high' elves, the Celestial race formed both the Royal House and the Governing Council.

PROLOGUE - Pt. 2 - The PROPHECY
There was a prophecy however, whispered amongst the True Ancients... that one day, in a time of peace, four maidens, pure and free of taint would be born bearing the marks of the Avatars. Daughters of Endar'ah, descendent's of the elements themselves, incarnate souls of the once great Guardians... A prophecy that was lost to the sands of time, until the future brought about it's fruition.

The third generation was born into an age of precarious peace. The elves were not at war, but they were a poisoned people. A nation plagued with deceit and treachery. They were dark times yet the people feigned ignorance and the elven way of life continued on as 'normal'.
Amongst the younglings born to this generation... four females, bearing strange birthmarks. But the prophecy had been forgotten by all but a few, and since the four girls were scattered across the elven lands, they managed to exist undetected by the ruling powers.
One was born to the land of Dragon's. One to the nomads of Earth and Sea. Another, born to the Holy city on the plains of the great citadel... and one, born to the people's of the Star and Moon, the Celestial High Elves.

First Tome - Endarah's Daughter
Chapter One: ORIGINS
The city of Celst'aurin'thyl. This city was one of the largest ruled by the elves, second only to the Royal Capital of Amarian'oren on the continent of Altair. In the lands of men, it was known as the 'Celestial City'. Amongst the elves it was known as a city of divine judgement and elven law. Celst'aurin'thyl was home to the Council of Muu'hn and Stahr. The council's duty was to oversee the basic laws that governed municipal districts, and to advise the king when it came to passing national decrees. They were also a court that judged individuals who had committed an offense.
On a night burning with the last of summers' heat, as the season of flame gave way to autumn, the skies over the continent of Altair grew dark as Liyun'ah'tel'esti, Goddess of the Muu'hn and Stahr, was eclipsed by Endar'ah's shadow. In the moment where the earth shunned every fraction of moonlight, a baby's cry pierced the darkness. In Celst'aurin'thyl, in the house of Lord Ethel'stan, a firstborn, a daughter... was announced. The attending prophet declared the eclipse an ill-omen for the girl-child. Lord Ethel'stan however, ignored the warning and commanded him to proceed with her Divination of Destiny.
The 'Divination of Destiny' is a ritual performed at an infants birth. While not all elvenborn receive this ritual, it does not effect the child's fate. It is performed by a priest or priestess of the local temple, and an offering is made to the gods. Some people journey to the nearest temple before they give birth, so that their child might have their stars read. But there are many who cannot afford such a trip. Thus the ritual is most often received by those born into noble or wealthy households. Noble and wealthy parents, seek favour from the gods by having their children's star's read, so that they might help guide them on the path beset them by the powers that be.
The thought that a firstborn of the house of Ethel'stan and the daughter of a councilman no less, would not receive such a ceremony as was her birth rite infuriated Lord Ethel'stan. Even a priest of the gods, dare not offend a man like _____ Ethel'stan, and so the ceremony was conducted as planned.
The usual proceedings of a DoD determine what Deity the child will be committed to. What sect of the arts they will first dedicate their lives to learning and sometimes the stars will indicate if the child is blessed by the gods in the form of having an ability/abilities. This also plays a role in the naming of the child. Sometimes those born under the brightest stars, receive predictions of life events, but it is a rare occurrence.
