There is a poll for the X-Mas '09 event. Not sure if this is late or early but it is news to me. Anyway, we all need to fill it out to get them to change the X-Mas events. If you haven't noticed, they have been getting worse each year after the Zurg left. So vote now and hope that they listen to us!

I saw no stupid announcement for it. I heard about it but I never saw it. It doesn't hurt to post about it and see what people think about them asking about our opinion.

At the last question it asked anything else you want to say to the admins. I wrote "USER INVOLVED PLOT! NAO!" I hope you'll do a somewhat same response.

I see you guys saying stuff like: "The events have gotten bad ever since the Zurg left". Is it just that the oldbies miss the fame, exposure and illusion of direct control over Gaian events, especially that of the Zurg arc, where our organization was given a direct shout-out? From what I've seen, before zOMG!, it was never a "choose your own adventure " sort of thing. The NPC's told people what they were going to do, took Q and A's, then the authors did whatever they felt they needed to do to advance the plot, regardless of what we did or thought. They used us in the plot cause they could, right? What I'm saying is, we aren't entitled to have roles in a plot, or maximum exposure, just cause they name-checked us and responded to our questions.
We get chances to change Gaia, the surveys, petitions and the like, but it's not like we deserve user-participatory plots just because we had them before and one happened to involve us. Gaia is a bigger company than it once was, I'll grant you that, but it may be that more work is required on the tech and artistic side, and with the business of expanding, Gaia authors simply may not be able to do one-on-one in-character Q-and-A's like they used to.
The Zurg thing might've marked the end of a character-centric era, which could explain it's epic flavor, but it doesn't make the G.I.B. any less interesting.
