On October 19, 2006, we found that we were not alone in the universe. The Zurg had come, and with them, fear and uncertainty.

The GIB was formed with two simple goals in mind: to investigate the intentions and origins of our alien visitors, and to keep the peace between our peoples. Though painted by some as anti-alien, we strove to remain neutral, embracing neither the optimism of the Believers, nor the militancy of the Resistance.

Many things happened since that day. We defended our home during the Halloween Invasion, signed the subsequent peace treaty, and attended the momentous and unprecedented summit of January 17, 2007, in which both Zurg and Gaian stated their cases. Mother told us that without her interference, we would destroy ourselves within five years time. The GIB and other organizations emphatically chose freedom with the risk of destruction, rather than safety in slavery.

In the end, dissension within their own ranks spelled the end of the Zurg. Their leader, Mother, blamed their behavior on our corrupting influence, and taking her children with her, left Gaia, perhaps forever.

It has now been many years since Mother made her prediction, perhaps she was wrong?

At the GIB, we remain optimistic. And ever vigilant.


Our goals are simple, but rarely straightforward.
1. We will gather info on the Gaian plot and decipher clues and hints about everything story related.
2. We will protect Gaia from any and all threats to her people.
3. We will research every possible connection that may exist to previous plots.
