This is the forest that surrounds Linkton. You have to go through it to get to the town and there is no path way to town. So you better know where your going or else your going to get lost. And the monsters aren't as friendly as the people in town.

For days, Soruun had been traveling, now far from his camp deep within the Forest. He had seen, in one of his visions, great destruction and a malignant energy. Flandor was gone. Its spirit was wiped off of the face of the earth. He was now near Linkton, as he felt himself drawn in that direction. Soon, he would be upon the town. His dilated pupils focused in on what was before him, trying to make out what he was seeing in the swirling kaleidoscopic patterns.

Then he stopped trying to focus, and let his visions envelop him.........

4 hours later, he was even closer to his destination. His trip had ended, as his journey would soon be. What was it he had seen? Occasionally he would not remember his visions. He only remembered one word...

A young boy walked out of his den and tended to his garden next to the tree that his den was under. he was a very happy young man considering his horrible past. His home was distoryed forcing him to come out to the woods and fend for him self. he didn't need to hunt since he didn't eat meet. he lived off his vegs and fruit he grew. he had gotten the seeds and things he needed from the town near the forest; Linkton.

didn't go there much since he had freash water clothes that got him threw all weather and his flute. his special flute that his got when he was only two; that was when his powers had kicked in. His power aloud him to defend him self from the monster that was in the forest. he got hurt sometimes but he had made sure he grew plans and erbs that was good for healing. he did have bandages that lasted him a while. so he only went to town about once a year.

When he was done tending to his garden and picking some freash vegies and fruit he went back inside to make something hot since he was a bit chilly. he started he little old fashion stove and pulled out some some of the tools he needed; he had gotten alot of it from his home back in his home town. He begian to chop up some of the vegies and some of the friute before filling the pot with about one forth water. he was making a very tasey shop like dish. that even though you'd ever guess the vegies he used and the fruit he used would never go together they actually did.

Once it was simmering he sat down and begain to play a soft and clam melody. little figures apeared in a soft pink light and danced around him. He kept up the melody and the figures told a story his mother had told him when he was younger. it was about a boy who was after a princess after she got taken by theves and his jerney threw the desert and the mountins. he smiled some as he kept playing it looking down every now and then to make sure he was playing it right. when the story ended he put his flute down and checked on the soup

once doen he put it on a bowl and sat down in the chair to eat. he was very content with his life. he was clam and happy alone. he had alot of books and was even writing that story down so he would have it as well. his books helped him to get lost in another wold away from the fear of this world. he looked around and closed his eyes for a bit getting lost in thought about things he needed to do later once he was done. he said aloud what he needed to do so he could remmber,
"clean around the den take a bath in the lake. write a bit more make dinner. read a bit and then bed." nodding he opened his eyes and kept eating smiling lightly

Jesse finished his meal before he washed the bowl. once that was done he put it away and then went and grabbed clothes. it was bath time for the young bunny. he giggled as he took a cloth and then grabbed his flute. he never could forget that. he checked if he had everything before he then sliped out of his den and looked around

when everything was in the clear he started for the lake. he loved being there it was so pretty and it made him happy when he went threre. the colors and the aura made it magical. he waged his tail just thinking about it. he giggled some as he smiled and looked around. he was still alert since there was creatures in the woods that were very bad. this is why he had his flute.

With the careful precision of a surgeon operating on an open vestibular valve with a ball peen hammer Jangliba Joupeddilla Jamblaladoonsbury III strummed delicately at the invisible strings of the ethereal lute which was his favorite instrument to play, even though he was worst at it. Honestly his best instrument was the Piccolo even though he hated to play it. Lithe gloved fingers pulsed and twanged at the invisible strings as he sung a ballad he'd learned from a band of gypsies on his way back from the Kaladen Desert. A deaf person who saw him would think him insane as the instrument which he so carefully strummed was invisible to the eye, yet the music and sounds of the song flitted lighter than the breeze, filling the woods with his tune.
While the elvish lyrics recounted a tale of a great battle where evil had been defeated by a young girl's smile his golden hair shone marvelously in the sun and the silk cloak floated below him. As indeed he was laying quite comfortably high atop a tree branch precariously overlooking the glinting crystal lake. His pale blue eyes with their listless and half closed eyelids basked in the beauty which surrounded him. The day was proving to be uniquely wonderful, and continued to be that way even after the flat note which had broken the pure melody of the ballad. Jangliba Joupeddilla Jamblaladoonsbury III Played on unencumbered for he had had no audience to jeer this time.

The gentle sounds of the forest were always something that called to Kaiden. He didn't like rushing about without a direction to go, and the forest managed to keep him calm so that he could collect his thoughts. Kaiden might have appeared as an imposing figure what with the sword at his back waist that was clear from the half cloak he wore. The cloak covered all of his left side, but the right side was drawn back to reveal his blade. The hood had been down since he had first entered the woods. He had no reason to travel under a disguise through these woods. They had always proven friendly to him, even the spirits that lived about the wood seemed to like Kaiden's gentle nature regardless of his appearance. He didn't like fighting, and some of the spirits of the woods knew that simply by looking at him.

Kaiden had revealed his sword upon entering the forest with intentions to avoid a fight just in case one wished to find him. The sword might act as a way to deter bandits from targeting him because he was clearly armed. The bandits would never know the danger that would be found in fighting him. Even though Kaiden didn't like fighting, if engaged in battle he as unlikely to spare his foes life. He gave them the chance to change their course, and if they refused he obliged them to go to death. Kaiden moved his hand up to his right eye and pulled at the jet black eye bandaged that covered his eye with black elastic bands running through his hair. Most people thought the eye was harmed in some way, but that wasn't the case. Not that Kaiden would ever correct someone about their assumptions. It was better they thought that in his opinion.

Kaiden paused momentarily in the woods as his ears picked a noise in the distance. His human ears barely took note of the false note of music in the distance. The only reason he had noticed the noise at all was because the false note seemed to break the calm of the forest for a moment. Kaiden turned his eyes in the direction of the noise before frowning lightly to himself. He was due west of Linkton, so whoever was out here did not want to be chanced upon unless they were traveling from the desert to the south, but whoever was traveling appeared to be a bit out of the way if they were heading for Linkton. Kaiden shrugged lightly as he decided to figure out just who was making the music he could hear.

As Kaiden got closer to the sound, he started to get more interested to see just who was playing, not that he was likely to ever having met the person before. If he had, it was likely that the player would have been at Flandor where Kaiden had killed quite a number of Flandor people. That wasn't a pleasant thought for Kaiden though and he brushed it away quickly as he moved on. There was little reason for him to concern himself with that at the moment. As it turned out, Kaiden barely saw the player of the lute before breaking form cover which clearly would have given away that he was in the area. Instead, Kaiden leaned agianst a tree blending in with the shadow as he listened to the lute player. He had not seen such a lute before, but in Elexair there was not much music to be had so that was to be expected. Kaiden hope his watching did not bother the lute player though as Kaiden rather enjoyed the music even though a few bits of it were choppy, at least in Kaiden's mind they were.

((What a name, Shimo! Crazy long.))

With a lilting smile the young man's song concluded and the ethereal instrument which had hardly been there to begin with vanished completely. He lay back high atop the tree limb smiling lazily to himself as a limber and extended ear flicked and twitched with an exasperated joyfulness. He had noticed his audiend at least ten minutes ago, well that's if you count the three and a half minutes before he really knew that the man was in fact a man, or that music even interested him.
After a short relaxed pause the man spoke, and he spoke as though he were speaking to himself, yet the question was rather obsurd to have been rhetorical. "Do you happen to have any requests?" He asked, just loud enough for anyone to hear him, but only if they were really listening for him. "Or, would you prefer, I show you how to fly?" Asked he who was sitting pretty in a tree. "The trick I hear is to throw yourself at the ground... Not so much the hard part, But the key is to miss. Much easier said than done I assure you." There was another simple pause and Jangliba Joupeddilla Jamblaladoonsbury III twisted his face up into the sun so that his eyes glinted oh so majestically. In fact so majestically that a passing dragonfly had to stop and gaze enraptured by the sight. The bird who promptly devoured said dragonfly was clearly not as impressed.

Kaiden listened to the finish of the lute players song before giving a faint smile. It was nice to hear something in a while that wasn't just the sound of nature, or of course the sound of fighting. Elexair had a bit of problems with that as far as Kaiden was concerned. Kaiden had closed his eyes at some point during the song, but at the end of it Kaiden's only visible eye opened. There wasn't much pause before the young man in the tree made any recognition of Kaiden being in the area, and when he did Kaiden let out a light laugh as he moved from the tree. He actually didn't know if the young man had ever heard him at all. It was all a thing of chance really, and Kaiden wasn't really concerned about being found here anyways. He wasn't really hiding his travels. If someone was looking for him, they would have no trouble finding him. Kaiden pulled his cloak past his sword so that the cloak covered his entire body as he walked forward into the light as he looked up the tree at the young man sitting in it.

Kaiden grinned at the young mans words about flying. So the young man seemed to take on the role of a traveling jester; not only did he play an instrument but he also appeared to have a sense of humor.
"I'm quite attached to the ground in fact. If I tried I might just go splat. Not pleasent to clean up I hear." There was very little rhyme in his words, but the rhythm was there. It was more of a show than anything for Kaiden. He couldn't have said how he had been able to change his words before speaking to give them a rhythm, but then again he couldn't say he knew how he did much of the things he did. "Ah forgive me. My name is Kaiden Malac. Where I come from is about as much a mystery to me as you so I couldn't tell you. You play quite well for someone in the middle of the woods with no one around to listen."

Kaiden had said his name only after catching sight of the young man looking up at the sky. There was quite an interesting pause at the simple motion of the young man as nature appeared to go on pause for a moment, only broken by the bird taking the dragonfly from the air. Kaiden blinked lightly what he had seen happen before shaking his head lightly with his grin still clear on his face. This young man was definitely different, that much Kaiden could tell simply by looking at him. What was different about the young man was much harder to place though. Kaiden was actually curious about the young man sitting in the tree before him, which was a rare thing. Kaiden figured it had something to do with the fact that he hadn't seen people in quite some time having avoided Linkton on purpose. Even if the young man had no intentions of saying anything to Kaiden, but Kaiden did not think this traveling instrument player would just ignore him.

Jang Chuckled luminously at the young man's rhyme scheme. "That was very good, have you ever thought of writing poems for a living?" The young man rolled deftly off the branch and landed very delicately with a thud upon the ground. His face never did cushion landings very well. As he rose to his feet and dusted himself off he could be heard talking to himself. "Oh well Perhaps I'll miss it tomorrow." He chuckled genially and smiled toward his guest. "Well I'm just glad that you posses the ability to speak. for a little bit I thought a panther had become my audience." The young minstrel apparently paid no attention to the blade hidden beneath the cloak, if he had even noticed at all.
"Well What I remember seeing first thing after that long dark stay inside my mother was a blinding white light and then an old lady who smacked me across my bottom. But I hear that's commonplace now." Jang carefully removed a twig which had arranged itself in his hair so as to make it look a perfect mess. After a momentary pause hhis eyes lit up as he recalled something important. "Oh!, and my name," He paused genially as he stepped out of the comfortably painful bush which he had happened to land upon. "Is Jangliba Joupeddilla Jamblaladoonsbury III. That's Pronounced Jang-Leeb-Ah Jew-ped-dill-ee-yah Jam-blah-lah-doons-berry thuh third." He added a polite if not mildly eccentric bows as he sounded out each syllable carefully even though his new companion was quite clearly able to understand him the first time. And actually as he sounded out the syllables he'd even started to count them on his gloved fingers. Regardless He decided he'd not yet finished speaking yet and began to ramble on again. "Though I tell you I never notice whether or not I've got someone listening really as far as I'm concerned there's always at least an audience of one." And when he'd finished speaking he decided it was time for listening and leaned forward curiously examining the man and his outfit, his long ears again twitching with interest.

Kaiden gave a faint frown at the young mans words about Kaiden writing poems. Kaiden didn't really reply to that, but he did give a faint shake of his head to let it be known that no, Kaiden did not believe writing poems would help him make a living. Kaiden couldn't have explained how his reply had come to him to start with, let alone how to replicate it into a tale of some sort that would have rhyme and rhythm together making it something worth reading. Kaiden also didn't have the motivation, as many poets would call upon to write. Kaiden laughed lightly as the young man fell face first to the ground before shaking his head lightly as he heard what the young man said about missing. It was a curious notion, but correct none the less. Kaiden's laugh changed to a faint grin once again as the young man made mention of thinking Kaiden was a panther. Either the young man was a bit more aware of what was really around him, or it was simply the fact that Kaiden had silently moved forward like a panther would have. Either way, Kaiden was impressed with the connection between panther and himself, even if it was unintentional.

Kaiden watched as the young man removed the twig from his hair shortly after speaking of being born. Kaiden himself would never have thought of a reply such as that if someone had said what he had said, so of course it brought a smile past his grin.
"Well then Jangliba Joupedaiala Jambal... Oh I give up. You have quite the name. If you'd be so kind, forgive my inability to speak your name as it should be said. I'm not too good with names as it turns out." Kaiden said with a light laugh at the end. It was true that Kaiden had butchered Jangliba's name, but if it was intentional or not was up to Jangliba to decide. Kaiden actually had been able to take in all of the young mans name without difficulty, but in trying to repeat it he had managed to mess it up. Kaiden had found it funny the way that Jangliba had slowly pronounced his name, even though it was clear it hadn't helped Kaiden too much in his own pronunciation.

"By audience of one, I'm taking it you mean yourself." Maybe it was unneeded for Kaiden to even say that, because it seemed to be the most obvious answer to him. Then again, Jangliba seemed to enjoy playing with his words so it was hard to tell if that was the truth of the matter. Kaiden did take notice that Jangliba was now looking at him as if to examine him. Kaiden realized that there wouldn't be much for Jangliba to tell from just his appearance as with the cloak over Kaiden, most of his clothing and body was actually hidden from Jangliba's sight. The only easy thing to see was actually Kaiden's head because the hood was down. The only interesting thing to take note from his face was the black eye-bandage that covered his right eye with it's black elastic like strings running though his dark hair barely visible.

Oblivious to any emotion shared by his new companion other than that of joy, which Jang had decided everyone should be feeling all the time, it's just a matter of degrees He lifted his head back and away from the subject of his observation. "Well then I suppose you should've just called me Jang from the get go. Everybody else does." He paused to take a deep breath and turn out to face the small pond which he had been overlooking as he had played, the reedy pools glinting enthusiastically as playful birds tried to eat and kill playful little insects playfully. "As to my audience, I've always had the world who would always listen to my songs. Nothing better than a captive audience am I right?" He twisted half way backwards to his friend the cloaked man, deciding that he liked him, but would probably never travel with him. "You haven't seen any bunnies around here have you? I've recently had the strangest feeling that I've been seeing bunnies, but they always dart off before I get close enough to find out." He looked around quizzically as if to check if any might be hiding around nearby. Yet before he really waited for an answer he stopped, looking at the man sternly. And, with a straight and serious face which fit like cement over his jovial features, he decided something. "You should buy me a drink." Thus there he stood smile returned waiting for acknowledgment from the obviously unnoticeably shy man he'd met in the woods.

Kaiden was coming to the decision quickly that he did enjoy the company of Jang, as he said Kaiden should call him. That was a strange figure though when taken into account that Kaiden didn't really like people. Kaiden had already come to the conclusion that the reason he had been so willing to talk to Jang was likely the air of joy that Jang seemed to exude. It was infectious as far as Kaiden could tell because Kaiden would not usually be so open to someone he had just met. It was an interesting observation by Kaiden, not that he minded having decided to speak with Jang. Jang seemed want to enjoy life to it's fullest, and that already put Kaiden and Jang on a similar page, not that Kaiden really had much choice in enjoying life as it turned out. It was hard to enjoy life when you really weren't sure what you were living for.

Kaiden gave a faint nod of his head as he head Jang say that the only audience he needed was the world. That was an interesting though to Kaiden, but not completely misunderstand able. Kaiden very well in fact understood what Jang was saying, it was just the thought of it that was hard for Kaiden to grasp. Kaiden blinked at the sudden question from Jang about bunnies though. In fact, Kaiden had yet to even pay enough attention to see if there were and rabbits around, not that it ever had concerned him. Kaiden had been expected something larger than a rabbit to find him in the woods if something was going to find him, and Kaiden was only concerned with something finding him. Before Kaiden could even hope to open his mouth for an awnser, Jang had stopped to look at him with a serious look. It took Kaiden by surprise, but a moment later Kaiden laughed as he heard Jang's words.
"Really now? Well I suppose it's the least I can do for the person who pull me off my course to listen to some well played music. Sure, I suppose I'll buy you a drink Jang, though the nearest place is Linkton." Kaiden didn't go any farther in his words than that though.

Kaiden knew better than to tell Jang about the attack that would one day in the future make it's way to Linkton. As smart as it would have been to warn Jang, it was just as likely to raise problems with anyone Jang might speak to in order to warn them off the oncomming attack, as if they already didn't know. Suspicions would be raised towards Jang and Kaiden, and Kaiden didn't need anymore undue attention that he already attracted. Eventually Delfian or another Silent Squad member was going to come looking for him, and Kaiden had no intentions of making it that easy for them, though so far he hadn't tried very hard to cover his trail. If he was being followed, whoever was following him would have an easy time.
"As for rabbits, no I haven't seen any now that you've made me think about it. Sorry, but I can't help you there."

Jang Laughed joyously at the reaction Kaiden had made. "What a wonderful Idea! a farewell party to Linkton!" Jang turned and began to dance onward off toward where he thought he remembered a wall gate being located which would allow them to approach the vacinity of the building which were the precursor to the city town of Linkton. They still had a a favorable distance to travel before the drinking could commense but that hadn't meant Jang couldn't enjoy himself. "Well I guess that's too bad then isn't it. Bunnies are terrific dancers. It's the ears you know." ranted Jang who had continued to walk expecting his friend to travel with him. "For example, tell me if you've heard this one," and suddenly the man lifted his hands as though he'd be playing a flute and then while blowing gently and wiggling his fingers the sweet and reedy sounds of a soft flute started to fill the air and soon it developed into a very lively jig. The down side to playing such an instrument is that it increased the difficulty for Jang to sing. Yet still he somehow managed. The first lyrics were nonsensical, melding into the music like a spoonful of warm caramel.
"Oh Long ago when the wind crossed the plain
The ourse of even life had had to change.
Ak the rabbit how to dance,
and his ears will flop as he'll prance.
Ask the blind man how to see,
You'll never learn outside a tree.
Fiddle diddle-eye Diddle-eye Beadla-lo
Learn the bunny's dance,
And you'll never be slow."

And so the song went and so did it go. Jang's favorite way to pass time.

Kaiden frowned at Jang's words about a farewell party to Linkton. He couldn't tell if Jang knew, or if the young man was simply saying it for whatever reason. Deep down, it bothered Kaiden that Jang would say that, but he said nothing on the matter and had no show of it in his expression besides the frown on his face as he followed after Jang. Kaiden was happy for the sudden change in subject. The reminder that Linkton would be attacked brought back memories of what would happen if he was in Linkton at the time it was attacked. Would Delfian let him go agian? Would any of the Lilith let him go if he tried to help any of those in town? And then the most important one hit Kaiden not a moment later, what would Ea say about Kaiden's arrival in town? Kaiden knew that Ea had been stationed in Linkton for whatever reason, but did Ea already get information about Kaiden's rather hasty leaving of the Lilith? If not maybe it would be in kaiden's best interest to not say anything to Ea about it, but then again if Ea found out... Kaiden pushed the thoughts away as he managed to pick up what Jang said about bunnies.

Kaiden was actually following a few steps behind Jang mainly out of self preservation than anything as he wasn't too sure how sane Jang was. Regardless, he like the young man so he was willing to listen to him rant without pause. It was also pleasant for Kaiden to listen to Jang talk as it kept him from talking. Kaiden didn't like talking too much, but Jang seemed to be able to talk enough for the both of them. Kaiden was indeed caught off guard as Jang lifted his hands to his face as if he where to play a flute, and then there was the music. Kaiden was not only impressed, but surprised at it as well. Kaiden listened intently to the song sung and played by Jang before grinning lightly as he shook his head. Jang was most certainly a different bard, as Kaiden had finally decided about Jang's profession. Kaiden could tell though by the perfection by which he sang and played that the flute he was using, whatever it was, was his better instrument when compared to the lute he had played earlier.

"In Elexair, we don't hear much music. There is too many people running around with blades outstretched looking to kill for people to take the time to learn any music. If I have ever heard it, it would be something I do not remember. It's quite an interesting song. I can see why you're looking for 'bunnies'." Kaiden said lightly without much hesitation. He had just told a complete stranger, well almost complete stranger, that he came from Elexair, a village that supposedly wasn't known and was home to the Lilith's. And yet even with that knowledge, Kaiden openly said he was from Elexair. This was curious on it's own as he had never thought he would tell that he was from the Lilith city. He didn't really know if Jang would question such a place, or for that matter if Jang had ever been there himself. Jang's having been there seemed unlikely though. With Jang's attitude, anyone of the Lilith could have decided to slit his throat just to get him to shut up. Still, if directly questioned about it Kaiden would have to come up with some excuse to avoid telling Jang too much. Kaiden did not feel the need to tell someone anymore about the Lilith city than he already had. It was dangerous after all to say just what he had.

((Edited because when I got to looking at the post I realized I really messed up on a point that Kaiden is strongly set on. I didn't change it much though.))

Way away, away so you can see
How it feels to be alone and not believe
How it feels to be alone and not believe

Jesse was now walking threw the forest and he held his flute closely. his ears twitched some as he began to get nervous. he heard people talking and he tensed up. he had to get home he had to. he pulled out his flute as he began to play a fast pace and the weeds around him grew and moved to become a trap if needed. that was just a basic trick his flute could do. it had other things much more important but he never used them unless they showed

His walking sped up as he kept heading to his home. their he'd be safe their he'd be able to get things done. oh he wanted nothing more then to be in the nice warm bed knowing he was safe. he kept playing the tune making more traps as he went. this made it easy for his little bunny heart to relax; only a bit though

he kept his hears open and he noticed he'd have to past the people in order to get to his place. he took a deep breath and then broke of into a run. he dashed threw the threes and bushes. he got to the clear patch and saw the two talking. he didn't look at them though. he just kept running trying to get to the comfort of his home. he was so close so close

once he was home he dashed in and slammed the door before locking it. tears feel down his face as he clung to his flute waiting and listening. he was shaking like a leaf and his ears were up and alert ready to take on anything. or at least keep them away from him or hurting him. he panted as he kept up his guard waiting for anything.
