Crystalize padded along the edge of the forest, tail swishing back and forth behind him. He needed the space, away from his sister - who was much more annoying than he remembered her being.
He shook that thought away quickly, however, and focused on the things around him. Crys didn't really need to hunt, he wasn't -that- hungry...sometimes, Crys wished he had wings, like those huge foxes he'd heard about, so he wouldn't have to spend all this time walking from place to place.
Although, he argued with himself, sometimes getting to whereever you're going is the best part. And that certainly seemed to be the case today, as he wasn't going anywhere specific. He was just bored, in need of some entertainment.
Eventually, the clearing gave way to a little stream, and Crys realized how thirsty he was. He padded over, not bothering to be silent, and sipped his muzzle in, drinking in the cool liquid. It felt good against his throat, and his tail wagged without his realizing. After he was done with his drink, Crys looked around and wandered over to a rock formation large enough to hold him and made his way to the top, head resting on his paws as he looked down at the blue water beneath him. He could see his reflection - cool and white, even his eyes, but with the seemingly random splashes of purple in there, just to keep things interesting.
"Is anybody there?" Crystalize asked aloud, obviously not expecting an answer.

 Aodh had been flying, until he saw a clearing that would be the perfect place to rest for a bit. Flying took a lot out of you, way more than walking ever did.
He folded his wings and let himself fall until the last few feet, when he opened his wings again to slow his landing. It wasn't until he was on the ground he realized there was a fox on some kind of rock thing, standing right in front of him. Okay, so maybe more "above" than "in front of", but it was close enough.
Aodh nodded politely to the fox (his mother had made sure he grew up with manners, 'deva or no) before heading to the stream to take a drink.

Crystalize heard the beating of wings and looked up, blinking in surprise when a huge body of something temporarily blocked the sun from his view.
The creature came into focus as it landed, and Crys nodded back. This must be one of those winged foxes his sister had been talking about...and judging by the fact that it didn't look so angelic, it wasn't a Modiphim, it was the other kind...Mod...something.
"'Scuse me, but what kinda fox are you?" Crystalize asked, as politely as he could. "I can't remember what it's called and now it's gonna bug me," Crys pouted slightly, his ears drooping ever so slightly.
"The name's Crys, by the way. Crystalize,"

Aodh finished gulping down the water (judging by how long he was at it, he must have drunk a gallon or two, at least) before answering the fox.
"I'm a modidaeva, name's Aodh. Nice to meet you, Crystalize." The last part just came out, again, habit. His mother really had done a number on all of them.
The sad part was how their 'normal' brother was more like a 'deva than either of the two real 'devas were.

"Right! -Daeva, that's what it is," Crys grinned apologetically, springing off the rock to stand in front of him. Woah. "You're big," Crys blurted out without thinking, instantly feeling quite foolish.
"Er...tall, I mean...sorry..." Crys smiled sheepishly up at him, though he was still taking in just how big this guy was. He was HUGE, and could probably eat him whole.
But he seemed nice enough, didn't he? Shaking that thought away, Crys looked back up at the winged male. "Somebody told me you guys were mean. I mean, I'm not saying that all of you're mean, obviously, 'cause you seem pretty nice and stuff, but aren't most of you not nice...?"
Crys trailed off, feeling his cheeks grow slightly warmer. Dammitdammitdammit.

Aodh looked down at Crystalize. He'd forgotten how small regular foxes were--he hadn't seen Wahid in ages.
"I'm not big, you're tiny! Are all other foxes that small?" he circled around Crystalize, curious. He didn't have the best perspective on size, after all--one mother an elder, the other a 'deva, and maybe he was imagining things, but he could've sworn Wahid--the 'normal' brother--was even bigger than Crys.
"Most aren't nice," Aodh agreed. "My family's just an exception. Mother wasn't exactly a normal 'deva to start with, and then Mom made sure we all had manners and such...hell, I think Wahid--he's a regular fox like you--is the most 'deva like out of all of us." Aodh grins, laughs, obviously finding that funny.

Crys laughed with him, although he didn't really get it. He noticed the two mothers bit, but didn't remark - he'd heard of same-gender foxes being blessed with kits from the Dieties above, but he hadn't ever actually seen proof of one existing, let alone a 'deva one with siblings.
"You have other siblings?" Crys asked, tilting his head curiously. "And yea...most of us are this small, or big if you ask a kit," Crys added with a laugh, shaking his head. "Maybe your brother just seems taller 'cause he acts all tough," Crys volunteered. "'M sure you could seem even bigger too," he nodded, stretching out. He felt rather...maybe inadequate was the right word? around him. Plus he was so nice...
Shaking that thought away, Crys looked back at him and smiled. "So where're from?"

Aodh peered down at Crys, and tried to think about how small a normal kit would be. "Why would I want to seem bigger?" Aodh liked how big he was. He had been this way since he'd become an adult, and didn't want to change.
"Yeah, two brothers. Rai is...Rai is even less like a 'deva than I am," Aodh made a face, thinking about Rai and Sparkles and especially Rai and Sparkles together.
"Then Wahid's a normal fox like you, but he acts like a 'deva. Don't you have any siblings?"

Crys nodded. "I have a twin sister, Kohura, but we got separated somewhere 'long the way. But we just recently refound eachother, so it's alright," he said, grinning up at the other fox. "She's it, though. And I dunno, some people just aren't happy with themselves, so they always wanna be bigger and stuff. Plus it prolly helps when you hunt and stuff, seeming even bigger-er than you are,"
Crys looked down briefly, feeling stupid for rambling. "Er, sorry, I'll be quiet now."

Aodh laughed. "I'm big enough. I don't need to get any bigger. Osoreru and I took down a bear once, but we both could've gotten it by ourselves, no problem."
He didn't see the point in being bigger, so he tried changing the subject. "So how'd you and Koh...your sister get separated?"

"Kohura," Crys filled in with a chuckle, not bothered. "Well, actually, it was kind of a random thing, actually. Just this gathering for a bonfire, and she just walked up and was all 'hey'..." He paused. "Wait a minute. You asked how we got separated, didn't you?" Crys laughed, shaking his head. "We were really young. I ended up kind of wandering around alone by the time I was a teenager." Crys shrugged lightly, not really bothered. "I don't really know what Ko's been up to, she's not the most outgoing of sisters," Crys rolled his eyes slightly, then shook his head. "'M glad I found her, though," he smiled a bit then, looking like he was remembering something pleasing.
"So Oser...your other 'deva brother isn't really 'deva-ish either?"

"No, Osoreru's a friend of mine, Rai--his full name's Raikierie but everyone besides Mom calls him Rai--is my brother. He's..." Aodh thought about how to describe Rai, while still following Mom's rule of 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'.
"He's really outgoing and hyper," Aodh finally settled on. "Tons more cheerful than any fox you will meet ever. Well, maybe besides Sparkles. Sparkles is Rai's mate--Sparkles isn't his real name, but I can never remember his real name, and they're both okay with him being called Sparkles." Aodh shrugged. He personally thought that Sparkles fit that fox far better than whatever his real name was, anyway.

Crys nodded and murmured, "Ooh," as he explained that Oso was his friend. Rai...Sparkles?
"Sparkles?" Crys repeated aloud, amused. "Where did that nickname come from?" He couldn't help it, it was so entertaining.

Yeah, Sparkles and Rai were a great match for each other. Just not for anyone who happened to be watching them, because then you'd feel absolutely disgusted by their cutsey couple-ness. But he wasn't going to mention that part. He had to remember to only say nice things. Even if it was kinda hard.

Crys laughed at the description, even more amused now. "He sounds pretty," Crys said before he could stop himself. "Is he a 'deva too? Where're you from that all these huge winged creatures are popping out from?"
It did seem odd to him that he had never seen any before, but here Aodh was talking like they were the most natural thing in the world - which, Crys rationalized, it was to him, since he was one.
Sometimes, the boy even confused himself.
