Is anyone NOT going to be seeing this avatar movie? Looking at the movie, it seems like they're taking a wonderful theme, plot line, and dynamic characters and watering it down to two hours of filming. In addition, it seems the age group it's going to attract is like 6-10 year olds. :/ Yeah, I know Avatar was made for like 10-13 year olds, but this movie seems really lame. I dunno. I kinda just feel like what I spent four years of my life watching every friday is going to get ruined with one bad director and quality.
I don't know. I'm just not looking forward to it. A friend of mine said, "Are you going to see the movie" to me the other day, and I replied, "I'm not too sure." I really have no interest in seeing the movie. That's just me. I still love the show, however,

High five, bro. High five. This is exactly how I feel.
Recently I've taken to watching season 1 and 2 as well as the most recent. I'm gonna miss un-corrupted Avatar.

Well the show itself was 7+, and we know that Bryke is well aware of how popular the series is with older kids, and adults. So, hopefully M. Night recognizes it as well. I'd think that he would have to be very stupid not to.

yes, the movie will be really awful but I think I'll see it just to know how bad it really is and then pretended it never happened. might as well not let a really sucky movie bother you. and better yet, maybe we'll actually have something worth talking about even if it is just to make fun of it or complain. wink

I am going to keep my mouth shut on this one. I mean, people said Transformers was going to be a little kid movie, but it wasn't.

Personally, I have a problem with the casting. The special effects, costumes, and sets look like they'll be pretty good, if not very good. However, I think they only tried to cast characters to gain a larger audience. Maybe the Avatar fanbase wasn't enough, and I understand that he wants it to be successful in the box office, but I'm afraid he casted certain characters for the wrong reasons. I don't know if they'll be able to pull it off. A friend of mine made a very good point. Azula will be incredibly difficult and would require an older actress to do, unless they find a prodigy, because of who she is. So I'm worried about her too. Overall, I'm concerned, but if they can put out a good trailer I'll definately give it a shot. I will anyway, but I'll probably see it in theatres if the trailer is better than that random one they put out. Sorry, I guess I started to ramble. sweatdrop
