So I just entered a "What Drives Edward" contest three times to win my girlfriend a new volvo XC60, because she is in desperate need of a new car. The contest made me put screen caps of from the trailer in order and put a quote from Romeo and Juliet in order. I got them both correct. I hope we win. I want my girlfriend to have a nice car. I mean, seriously, I love her car, we call her DINKO, but she's really old. And the paint job is atrocious. So do you think I'm being way too desperate? Or should I enter like twenty more times to make sure I win? Would you, yourself, dive right into a chance to win a nice brand new spankin' car, even if it meant burning your eyes out over Twatlight/New Moon? This is what the car looks like:

Well it's not a bad car. I think it's wonderful you're going through something you don't like to get her a new car. I don't mean that in a sadistic way, either. I just don't see how Edward can look cool driving it. When I think "rich kid's car", I'm thinking something like a Viper, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. Ω

Nice car. But why is it in a Twilight-related contest?

Jerba Nice car. But why is it in a Twilight-related contest? Because Edward drives a "shiney" blue volvo if I remember right. The company is just cashing out while it has the chance. It's a nice car though. I think it's sweet of you to do that for her.

My girlfriend is so sweet. I asked her if she liked it, and she said she did. And despite the fact that she's in desperate need of a new car, she says she'd give the car, to her dad. Which, I don't mind. He's been really sweet to me. If I can find a picture of my girlfriend's car, I shall show you. xD

I think it's a sweet gesture! Although I personally wouldn't enter a contest for a Volvo, those cars aren't that great. There's a review of the car on thecarconnection.com and says that the Volvo XC60's fuel economy disappoints at 16/22mpg. Here's another quote from the website: "One is City Safety; it uses cameras and sensors to detect imminent impacts with vehicles in the lane ahead. If the XC60 is about to drive into the vehicle in front at 19 mph or less and the driver does not react, the car brakes itself." That would make it seem like a great feature, but at the same time, it means if you're going 20 mph or more, and the driver is not paying attention, the car will not break and end up running straight into the car in front of it. This could be seen as a negative point because not many people have to drive 19 mph at all during any part of the day. You might get Twitards oggling over your car, but it's not bad to try and win a car for her.
