1. All characters must comply with the storyline of the Naruto universe up to the point of the timeskip.

What does this mean?
It means that:

• Extinct clans remain extinct. This includes Uchiha, Kaguya, ect.
  
• A kekkei genkai, protected by the family who uses it, CANNOT be used with an original character who isn't a part of that clan.
  
• You can't claim to be a sister or a brother of a canon character when Masashi Kishimoto (the creator of Naruto) states that they have no siblings.
  
• You can't be the love interest of a canon character, especially when they'd have no idea who you are. Groupies to a certain character are acceptable, although annoying.
  
• You cannot be a part of limited-numbered groups, such as: the Akatsuki, Seven Swordsmen, or ESPECIALLY the Tailed-Beasts, ect.

2. You ARE permitted to make your own clan, or join one from the Naruto-verse.

We prefer that you join a large clan if you choose to be a canon one, such as the Nara or Hyuuga clans. Only under that circumstance can you obtain their Kekkei Genkai. However, if you join a canon clan, there can be no direct brothers or sisters of any of the canon characters.

If you would like to join a clan that another original character has created, please ask them first.


3. Creating an original character means actually BEING original.

Obviously, we like to duplicate things we like. But calling yourself an original character when you're "stolen" from somewhere else is plagiarism. So make sure that if you're going to play a character you aren't responsible for creating, you stick to the story that they originally came with.


4. Keep your character's place of birth in mind when you choose which villages you want to roleplay in.

Even though all the villages are in an Out-Of-Character group together, that doesn't mean that all the villages are allies in the storyline. Keep in mind what villages have attacked another. If you're unsure whether your birthplace complies with the village you want to go to-- ask.

Ninja are also welcome to travel from village to village.


5. All Ninja applicants will start at the GENIN or ACADEMY STUDENT level.

For children characters under the age of (about) 10, they would more realistically be an Academy Student, rather than a Genin.

Once you've passed the Chuunin Exams (which are held with all the guilds together every few months) your rank will be updated if you pass the test. From then on, you can also participate in trials to become Jounin.
