When you insult him by saying hes gay and other homosexual stuff, that can be quite insulting. Because then your insulting the whole gay community. Just found I'd mention that.

Well...it might not necessarily be an insult, but an interpretation of his actions.
I mean, saying Bella was a female wouldn't be insulting the female community, right?

Using gay as an insult is immature and looked down upon.
I agree, calling Edward gay in an attempt to insult him is wrong.

Agreed.
People using the term "Gay" as a lazy way of saying something is stupid or that they don't like something is generally something that gets on my nerves.

My only reason of insulting his sexuality is because of the fact that to me, he's not really into girls, but into other guys. I see his "relationship" with Bella as a cover. Other than that though, I so dislike using sexuality-related insults.

I concur. I don't want to go on a rant, so I'll say nothing else.

I think the whole sparkling/makeup/100-year-old virgin thing speaks to a lot of antis.

'Is sparkling ***** that watches people in their sleep and then abuses them' a better definition? It doesn't seem offensive. People don't sparkle and ***** and abusers...what they do is just messed up.

sweatdrop I use 'gay' meaning stupid a lot. though lately, I've been doing my best to cut it out. It's also offensive to say Edward is 'retarded'.

Could a gay person use it as an insult? Like black people using the n-word? Double-standard.

KingJack! Could a gay person use it as an insult? Like black people using the n-word? Double-standard. There have been cases where that tends to happen.

Emperor Angelo XXV KingJack! Could a gay person use it as an insult? Like black people using the n-word? Double-standard. There have been cases where that tends to happen. So we can insult someone by saying they're totally straight, but gays can't say it?

Well, I mean, if your only calling EDWARD CULLEN gay, then...
I'm sorry if I seem offensive or something, but that was what popped in my mind when I read the first topic post.
