(This is ignoring all of the horrible things that happened to me today).
I was waiting for my ride after school. I wait in the entrance to the gym outside the parking lot. So, when I walked in the door, I saw a middle school girl reading a paperback book. Pretty thick, probably Twilight length. I peeked over her shoulder for an instant, guessing what it was, but could not discern it and sat down across from her.
About five minutes passed, and the whole time I stared intently at the book, waiting for her to take it off her lap so I could see. Alas! Twilight it was. I sprang into action, my mouth before my mind.
"Bella doesn't die at the end," I immediately said. She didn't look up. "The bad guy gets his head torn off, and Edward saves her. It's really anticlimactic. " The girl was still reading, but seemed to be distracted. "I reccomend you don't finish it. It's not worth reading."
My ride came then, and as I left I heard my sister say, "That's just her opinion."
But you know, when you say something to a child like that, it gives them the idea. For instance, when I was visiting the school the girls there (who were older than I) said it was a terrible school. I realized that it is.
But when a little girl hears an experienced high school senior say something like that, they believe it for a moment, if not longer. Hopefully, she will get more ideas, reflecting on my statements for the rest of the book, and find out what's really going on. I hope I could help more people!
What do you think... am I helping society?

Well, I don't have to worry about my children being dumb, I'll make sure they're as much of a bullshit critic as I am.

The children of the future are hopeless. They think they are "too cool" to listen to anyone older and more experienced. Let them see for their own faults.

Well, for one, you personally help society a great deal by just existing. And you drive this guild.

I applaud you. I just talk about it rather loudly that I don't like it.

KingJack! Well, for one, you personally help society a great deal by just existing. And you drive this guild. Umm... thanks. I didn't really notice. Seriously, do I?? That's kind of scary...

I think you're right. I mentioned some of the major plot holes in Twilight to my cousin (who's 3 years younger than me and liked the Twilight movie) and now she's got a button on her Facebook page that says "MY Edward has scissors for hands!"
I think I made an impact on her.

...I would've messed with that kid soo bad, but that's me and is probably why I get in trouble a lot. sweatdrop I would've been, "she dies. Edward looses control and eats her. Then, in the next book, she comes back as a brain-eating zombie."

Jerba Lexie Red Nara_Neji_02 ...I would've messed with that kid soo bad, but that's me and is probably why I get in trouble a lot. sweatdrop I would've been, "she dies. Edward looses control and eats her. Then, in the next book, she comes back as a brain-eating zombie." That plot is accually more interesting than all of the Twilight saga books combined together.UBER CONCURRENCE. Actually, Bella is pretty much a zombie, so there wouldn't be much of a difference. But if you put all the plot-holes and inconsistencies together, THAT plays out as an interesting -and hilarious- story. Example: My Immortal.

Jerba, you are doing a great contribution to society by defending people from the path of extremism in Twilight!!!!

Kids are indeed our future. We let them rot and we shall rot, and it is true.the younger children(5 through 10 ) usually do listen to older people.
If i was younger and saw even half that movie...I would most likely be enthralled by it. At the end of the week if i heard an old grandma say '******** Twilight' I would most likely be repeating that very thing for the rest of my teen life. Not becouse of the word ******** becouse an older more experienced person obviously knows better, even if they are senile.
