My teacher was talking about herself regarding psychology, when she went into a small Twilight tangent. She began talking about how Edward possesses girls' minds (and looked to me constantly because we had this conversation)... and it went well at first.
She talked for a short time about the obsession and what-not, and so many people in the classroom started yelling at ME! Why?? They said it was because I brought up Twilight for no reason but to yell at them about it, that it bothered them, etc. The girl who dominated the yelling was a girl whom I considered a friend.
I told them I meant no offense. The conversation did die down when things got out of hand, and the teacher couldn't stand much more. She ended it with a short bit of a story of a girl she knew in a psychiatric ward who believed Twilight was real. I asked her about it after class but she didn't have time to tell me the story. I did mention Cullenism, though.
After school I told my sister about the incident, standing in the entrance to the gym, watching the parking lot for our ride. Two girls on the other side of the room (There were five in the room, including myself and my sister) repeatedly interrupted our conversation. I continued talking, not wanting to get into an argument. Afterward, after my inquiry, they said they weren't Twilight fans.
The girls in my psych class were SO immature! I just wanted a discussion and they yelled at me, interrupted me, accused me, and didn't listen to what I said! (My teacher mentioned this to me when I spoke with her).
(This topic might lead to two more: an anti- poem and a science fair project).

It's because they're idiots and can't handle the truth.

Try writing down on a piece of paper that you want a mature conversation with no yelling or interrupting, and have them or a mediator read it.
Also, Jerba, I SO want to be in your class: I have determined that I am not human, but a troll, and therefor love to piss people off.
Also, Jerba, I now honorarily dub you my long-lost twin sister.

Twitards are incapable of free thought and rationality. They, like hard core Christians and Conservatives, don't stand for the 1st Ammendment. Trying to have a rational, mature debate with them is like trying to get a cat to stop licking itself or a spider monkey to stop throwing its s**t at people. They need to be euthanized or at least put in an asylum.

Lexie Red Twilight fans can be pretty mean. :c It depends really. Some are more tolerant than others. To generalize them isn't really a good idea.

Hah. I'm lucky I go to a school where the majority of people don't give a s**t about twilight or hate it. I remember last year in German everyone groaned when a group of twilight loving girls mentioned the movie. And last week when a girl used vampires in an analogy for Ap Us History, my teacher said that as long as this doesn't lead to a discussion about Twilight he won't mind. Then everybody proceed to complain about it.
