Mine was this guy. I remember he was the coolest pokemon in the world to me. The fact that I had my own pokemon was just the most amazing thing, and I still get that feeling when I catch a pokemon. xD;; Sure, I didn't get him until about an hour into my game time, because I was 6 and was trying to figure out the concept of leaving your house. After I finally got my Squirtle, I had no clue what to do with him accept battle battle battle. Eventually something incredible happened. My Squirtle evolved into Wartortle. I think I was in a restraunt when it happened, and I got so excited I started yelling about it, which got my parents mad at me. x_x; Eventually, after he evolved into Blastoise, I got him all the way to level 100. To me, he was the strongest pokemon in the world, and I didn't care who you were. xD I eventually lost my Blue game, and even if I found it, I don't think it would work... But Blastoise was my first pokemon and I'd be interested in hearing your guys's.

This little cutie was my very first Pokémon. I got her on Christmas Day back in 2000, along with a lime green Gameboy Color. I was at a loss as to what to name her, so after a few minutes of unsuccessful brainstorming, I gave up and simply named her "Lime", after my GBC's color.
My memory's hazy, so I can't remember much of our journey, but I know that by the time we challenged the Elite Four, she was around L.66, had evolved twice, and had just learned Flamethrower. I was quite proud of her moveset, too; Swift/Ember/Flame Wheel/Flamethrower. I thought that that was the best moveset ever. And somehow, even with a team who didn't go above L.40 (barring Lime, of course), we managed to beat the E4. Hell, during the battle with Lance, it had come down to my nearly-dead Lime and his half-dead Charizard. By some miracle, we won.
We traveled through Kanto and once again, my memory's fuzzy. But Lime was the first Pokémon of mine to reach L.100 and she did so completely the old fashioned way. I remember being so proud when she was L.92 and writing to Nintendo about how strong she was. And doing so again when she was L.97.
I still have my Gold version, where she resides, and it still works. Through some twist of fate, my Gold was spared from the dreaded drained battery due to the internal clock getting disabled somehow, somewhere along the lines of the many years. I recently went back to visit her a few weeks ago.
I hope the cart survives long enough to see her reincarnated into the glorious HeartGold.

Squirtle, FTW.

I can't remember everything, as it was a while back and it's kinda fuzzy, but I remember choosing this little guy. Of course, he was ambiguous at the time, but that's beside the point.
I trained hard and got all the way through Mt. Moon (which I got lost in, by the way. For about a week) before he evolved into a Wartortle.
He was the first, and ONLY Pokémon I've EVER trained to level 100, and I remember his moveset: Ice Beam, Surf, Hydro Pump, and Skull bash. He was so awesome. He even took on the Elite Four (almost) single-handed.
I think I had him on either silver or Crystal, but Silver's battery died. I honestly want to train my current Squirtle up with the same moveset.

Sorry guys, I don't have enough time to sift through each and every Pikachu image on Photobucket to find a clean one. [I'm partially afraid of what I'll find, after seeing some oddball sprite edits and knowing the pervy fur community]
I've had so many Pokemon games, so I don't remember much about her. I remember that I had gotten her for my 9th birthday, in combination with the special GBC that was produced in America for Pokemon Yellow. I thought it was so awesome that I was going to be a Pokemon Trainer at the age of nine, when the show said ten. I called myself Ash and didn't nickname ANY of my Pokemon back then. I remember that I just had her use Tail Whip against Brock and I loved looking at her little animations. My favorite ones were the fishing ones, and watching her get anxious when you jumped down a slope with her still up above. I think even a few times I glitched her a space away from me! Most of my original journey has been lost, as well as the original team. I eventually decided to restart my game when she was lv. 92. She had Thunder, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, and either Light Screen or Tail Whip or something. I'm not really sure anymore. [adding on now that I've finished my little foggy walk down memory lane: It was Double Team.] But she was "unaffected" by Toxic, so I thought that meant that she was invincible from it. Later incarnations weren't always so. I really wish that I hadn't restarted the data, but then I also wouldn't have gotten the chance to play Pikachu Surfing. [I would have felt guilty about tainting her with a Game Shark, as Stadium wasn't going to give me Surfing Pika any time soon. :/] I think I can't evolve any Pikachu I train anymore because I could never evolve her. I have two Pikachus that I'm training on GBA packs [one's a star in FR], and I don't think I could bring myself to evolve either of them, even after defeating the League.
This is also why I'm very biased towards wanting a Yellow remake. X3 Even if it's never going to happen. But I'll settle with HG/SS's new followers, even if they don't have detailed drawing faces of the Pokemon. It's a start, after all. My Yellow, Gold, and Silver version all still work. I hope that, one day, they'll come out with a system that will allow us to retrieve Pokemon off of them as they did for 3rd gens.

sorry, cant find a squirtle pic.. sweatdrop But anyways, I remember my first game was leaf green (played after my little brother), and I chose squirtle. Dunno y..but I remember that episode with Ash's squirtle wearing glasses. So i picked him.
I wasn't a Pokemon lover back then and Squirtle to me, was like any other ol' pokemon. I was kinda surprised when he evolved and felt like jumping up and down when he became a Blastoise. After those days of training Squirtle, I feel like it isn't like any other pokemon. Now, Squirtle's my fav. pokemon mrgreen . Sadly, I gave the game back to my brother (it was a deal we made back then) and he restarted the game. Poor Blastoise..I promise to trade for one, if I can, in my diamond.
*sniff, sniff* That was a sad story... crying

Well, I didn't get one of the original Blue/Red/Yellow games. My brothers had two, but I wasn't old enough, so I started with Gold.
Out of all of the starters, Chicorita was the best (plus my brothers already called dibs on Totodile and Cyndaquil, but that suited me just fine because back then green was my second favorite color and Cyndaquil and Totodile were both blue... Wasn't my favorite color.)
Anyway, I fully evolved him up, but sadly Gold and Silver games follow real time so their memory gets wiped after a while. Poor Chicorita... Dead... T^T
But, I've moved on, and filling up the Kanto Pokedex on Leaf Green helps.

My first pokemon was a Growlithe. I caught her in my cousin's gold version. I remember training her all the way to lv 100 in Silver Cave, cuz I was ignorant and didn't know that Growlithe evolved with a fire stone.. sweatdrop She was erased when my cousin started his game over.... crying

My first pokemon ever was Squirtle (I named him Splash). My little brother had bought a leaf green game and I was watching over his sholder while he was playing. It looked fun, he let me play as him for a while, but I eventually had to give him his game back. I beged my mom later that day to take me to the store and let me buy a game for myself, except I chose Fire red instead. This all happened about 5 years ago and I've been hooked on the games ever since. Now Splash is a level 100 and is a major powerhouse on my Diamond game. 3nodding

5 years old, on my old purple GBC... I got this little yellow thing.
This was back when I thought healing in the Pokemon Centers leveled up your Pokemon.

I have to admit, though I always wanted one, I never got one of the original Pokemon games for DS. It was only recently that I got my first game and it was a Diamond version I used my own saved up money to get. It's awesome! All those years I missed out on because no one would get me a stinking game. I don't hold it against anyone, though. They were a bit pricey back then.
Anyways, my first Pokemon was a little female Turtwig. I always said to myself my first pokemon would be a Charmander - my favorite pokemon. But I only had the options of Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig. Fate, of coarse, made me go with Turtwig. I beat up a Starly and discovered what it felt like to win a battle. I named the Turtwig Gabriella, for some reason. The name just fit so well.
This is her. This is my little Gabriella! http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Turtwig_(Pokémon)
At first, I almost dumped her to train the first pokemon I ever caught - a Shinx I named Nala. Gabriella had gotten really strong up until that point. I could beat any pokemon I encountered using only her. When I started training Nala, I missed my little green friend. I began switching out, using a strategy the manual said to use to make them both stronger. I caught a Bidoof and a Krikeot and dumped the two of them in storage. I didn't like them and they were weak. I only needed to record their existence. But when I caught a Starly, I pretty much went crazy. I named her Taylor. She'd really strong now, but no match for Gabriella. I soon snapped out of it and went back to Gabriella for good. No matter how much I want to raise and strengthen a particular pokemon, I'm going to stay alongside Gabriella. Even if I finally get my Charmander - I'm sticking to my faithful Turtwig! If you have any advice as to what I should do to evolve my Starly, however, please, I'd be happy and grateful to know. heart 4laugh

Mine was probably Squirtle, as the cutest of the starters. I've long since lost my original games, and recently misplaced what few remnants I had of my old collection. I've been playing for years, and I have a nasty habit of forming attachments to my Pokemon and not wanting to lose them, making it difficult to start new games. I've finally come to the conclusion that I can "keep them forever" if I draw them, and my first team picture is here. Now that I have Platinum, I'm using my Pearl as a semi-storage game, running each team through the Pokemon League so that I can have a record of them even after I've traded them away.

That's really nice! I can't draw pokemon like those. Only Charmander, the Pikachu family, Torchic, and a couple others I can't think of. And that's because they're all I ever drew when I was, what? 7? Hey, I have the Diamond version. Is there any way we could possibly trade to complete the pokedex?
