Sunlight flitted through the leaves in the forest, with the occasional birdsong being sung now and then. A nearby stream gurgled before joining up with another in the distance to form a brook. The wind blew, coaxing some leaves to leave their branches to dance as they fell to the forest floor. A leaf landed on Suzume's nose as she yawned. Shaking her head to get the leaf off she slowly blinked away the sleepiness as she lay in the shade behind a small shrine.
The shrine was quite far away from her home, a few hours in fact. She wasn't really one for traveling solo, but she had wanted to practice her flying in private and had ended up further away than she had intended on going... It wasn't too big of a deal, she was an adult now, she could take care of herself! She looked around at the forest of trees and bamboo as she pondered on her next course of action. Spotting the stream, she got up and shook some of the dirt off of her. She would refresh herself first, and then maybe some ideas would come to her.

"Where is my little sister?!", He whined. He looked everywhere around the area but could not find her. Is he a bad sibling for losing his own sister?
He knew that she was going to practicing her flying, now that they are adults and have to get use to the wings on their backs. However, maybe she gone too far from home and is now lost! Now what is he suppose to do? He only trembled and paced back and forth on one area of the ground until he saw a little dent. Instead of complaining about it. He shall look for her himself.
Trying to figure out which way she went, Onna looked very confused. Then thinking to himself, maybe if he fly he could find her. It was the only way that made sense to him. Backing up slowly, he took a running start and jumped in the air, starting to flap his blue, white, & yellow wings. Scoping the area, he called out her name several times and sighs. Hoping that nothing bad has happened to her.

She finished taking a nice, long drink of the cooling stream water. Feeling quite refreshed she wandered around to the front of the shrine. For a few moments she admired how the sunlight lit the area, giving the run down shrine a more mystical aura, then she gazed down at the worn down path leading to the forest entrance.
" I... I think it'd be faster if I flew... Yeah. If I flew.", she said out loud with a shaky nod, " Uhm, b-because then I'd see human buildings...", she trailed off with a nervous glance to the sky. She shook her head, after all... What was she so afraid of? She had flown before... She's just a bit lost this time... And alone... But she's an adult now. She needs to be able to take care of herself. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and then looked up determinedly.
Spreading her wings, she gave them a test flap to check and see if they were functioning properly. Seeing as they were alright, she moved to one end of the open area of the shrine before starting to run to the other side. Jumping about halfway through the area she flapped her wings rather clumsily before she steadied herself out. She managed to get to the top of the forest canopy before she landed a bit akwardly on a tree branch.
"T-that wasn't so bad. Now all I need to do is uhm, figure out which way to go..." She stammered while looking across the tops of the trees. Her ears drooped as she realized she didn't remember which way she came from.
