Personality: Having come from the Heart Ofuda, Janan is an idealistic romantic. Passionate and determined, once she has made her decision about something or someone, it is difficult to convince her otherwise. She is outgoing and adventurous, but not necessarily loud and bubbly, given her rather delicate appearance. Janan is definitely not the manipulative sort who tries to push people's buttons, if any she wants people to be honest about their feelings. What you see is what you get, would be a fairly good description for the way Janan deals with others. Because she is honest with her feelings, she inadvertedly expects everyone else to be the same way, and sometimes gives the impression of being self-righteous. She doesn't tolerate dishonesty, and will go to great lengths to point this out.
Janan is affectionate to those she likes and is blatantly cold to those who have made a negative impression on her. Her stubborn nature often makes it difficult for her to listen to the voice of reason, and she gives in to her emotions most of the time.

Personality: Some people might call Nyne a spineless coward, one who sides with the stronger party, or stands by and watches while a weaker person is bullied. To Nyne, he is just being practical and sometimes profitable. If he can't get anything out of it, he can't be bothered by it. He holds the value of his own time above the needs of others, and his life is his highest priority. Honor, prestige, fame, they mean nothing to him. He'd prefer breathing of being glorified any day. Nyne takes his responsibilities very seriously, and will resort violence if this is ever questioned.
However, unless a situation will reveal Nyne's practicality, he's usually thought of as a happy-go-lucky fellow. With a smile on his face, he gives the impression of being laid back. However, it isn't easy to become Nyne's friend as he feels he must be getting something out of that arrangement. It may be something as simple as having someone listen to him, or something as materialistic as being paid a fortune. "There's no such thing as a free lunch" is one of the mottos that Nyne lives by, and he doesn't give a damn if other people look down on him for it.
History: When Nyne was barely seven years old, his village had been raided and massacred. As the only survivor, he wandered the roads until a street peddler named Tess gave him a map and a key. Nyne couldn't read, so it took him a few years to decipher what the symbols and markings on the piece of paper meant. During those years, he had to fight to survive, and ended up using methods that many people believed was cowardly. Methods such as attacking from behind, kicking a man while he was down and ganging up on a person were some of the things he did. Eventually he became the Guardian of the South gate where he continues to hone his skills and pretend he is exacting revenge for his village. After seeing Huni go in and out of Gaia for a while, he decided to take a vacation from his post, and with his boss's approval, Nyne went to Huni's for a visit.

Personality: Affectionate and loving, it's obvious if Huni likes a person, however, she's extremely self-conscious about her image and whether or not people like her. She is generous to a fault, and is easily amused.
