Feb 2008: A feien emerged from the bloom Linneas got Paestri as well as receiving several plants from her fellow Legends.
31 December 2007: The house undergoes a magical lock-down and Paestri is entrusted to Matisha's care.
21 May 2006: Paestri grows into a child! My little girl's growing up...
14 May 2006: Paestri becomes an Aunt, which means Huni's a grandma?! O_O

1.) Please turn your sig off when posting - Paestri's journal is very image heavy, and I am on a pre-paid dial up, which means the loading time for these pictures is as slow as molasses. The only accounts who are exempted from this rule is my account (namely because I tend to forget to remove my sig) and the shop mule jacknblack.
2.) Do not ask me to sell you Madam Paestri and/or her future off springs - First of all, I have stalked and waited to become a Legend guardian for a long, long, long time. Ergo I am extremely possessive of her. Second, if by some chance she does bear children, I will 'give' the guardianship of the child to someone I know and trust.
3.) Do not steal/copy Madam Paestri's concept - I have spent a good, long time fine tuning her concept, whether it's her personality, history or characters of significance, and as mentioned in rule number 2, I am extremely possessive. I can and will get violent if provoked and if worse comes to worse I will make you kulam!
4.) Post in character - This journal records whatever happens with Paestri. Whether it is a shop RP, a journal entry, Paestri or Huni's thoughts, or an account of what's currently happening during the entry. So it's only natural that whatever goes on in this journal is done in character. The only people exempted from this rule is the shop mule (should a quest or any plot-related prompt be given).
5.) I make the rules in this journal - Yes, this is my journal, and I have every right to say who can or cannot post in it. I also have the right to add new rules if I deem it necessary.

But do you know who gave the witch the recipe for her scrumptious abode? What about the person who provided the ingredients that gave the gingerbread man the ability to flee? How about the person who showed the Queen of Hearts how to make those delectable tarts? If you have, then surely you would know that it was only one person. That person is the Confectionist Extraordinaire known simply as "Madam Paestri."
Royalty would demand for her wares as if their very life depended on it, peasants would line up from sun up until sun down just for a bite of her goods, even magical denizens would fight tooth and nail just so they could have a taste of her fare. Some would visit her shop just to sigh dreamily at the sight of her skin's exotic gingerbread hue and icing pink hair. Others would curiously stare at the chocolate gloves that she was never seen without.
But aside from these things, everything else about Madam Paestri was shrouded in mystery. From her origins, to her sources for ingredients, to her inspiration for the recipes, to the unseen helpers that hide in the kitchen. No one knows how she arrives seemingly overnight with her little shop completley set up the next day, or when she will depart for another town without so much as a word, or how she leaves nothing but a memory to prove she had indeed been there.
Many claimed there was something extraordinary about Madam Paestri, something almost inhuman, something they couldn't even begin to comprehend. For other than the magical creatures that were Madam Paestri's patrons, only a handful of humans knew what the Confectionist Extraordinaire was truly capable of. And only one from this handful lived long enough to tell the Legend of Madam Paestri.
But the words from this person was ignored, declared as lunacy and was soon forgotten. For what was spoken of was Immortality in the shape of a cream puff, True Love in the form of a chocolate biscuit, Eternal Damnation in the guise of an eclaire, and Salvation mixed into a strawberry shortcake. That person knew Paestri had more recipes made (sometimes literally) from the stuff of Dreams, and that each of these special dishes had horrible consequences if eaten for the wrong reason, made with evil intentions, or created with impure ingredients. And Paestri was hunted down, whether the reason was to stop her from creating more of these dishes or to steal her recipes was unclear.
The chase lasted for decades, with Madam Paestri always escaping her pursuer just barely. But in the end, Madam Paestri was slain, before she ceased to breathe, she took a bite from the special dish that she always had with her. She had eaten Rebirth in the form of her chocolate gloves. Her soul travelled for ages, searching for a safe place to start anew, and she found it in a quaint little world called Gaia.
Little did she know that her pursuer had also taken a bite from her gloves...
But that is not all there is to the Legend of Madam Paestri. As she grows and remembers, more things about her will be revealed.

Likes: Sweet stuff! Soft, sweet stuff! And naps, naps are good but not all the time. Shopping for foodstuff and books with pretty pictures! And drawing and coloring on paper and walls (especially walls but Ning doesn't like it...)
Dislikes: Getting hit, being scared, too shiny things (Ning now looks scary gonk ), having her locket taken from her, and anything violent...
Personality as a child: Paestri is still a sugary-sweet, candy-hearts sort of child. And while she is still cheerful, she seems to be a little too happy. Even when it seems inappropriate. She has recently been incapable of feeling sympathy for others; not caring whether someone is sad or trying to make others feel better unless she was told to do so. To say she is selfish would be inaccurate, inconsiderate perhaps but Paestri is still capable of putting someone's needs before her own. She just has to be informed about it first. On the other hand, Paestri doesn't seem all that concerned about what others do to her.
Personality as a baby: Paestri is a real sweetie, an optimistic soul with a ready smile for anyone and everyone. Very trusting, she prefers to be the proverbial shoulder for others to cry one, but she will express her own feelings if the chance arises. However, because she doesn't deal well with conflict, Paestri often takes the path of least resistance. One can say people can easily take advantage of her. She believes that there is good in everything and everyone, and if conflict does arise, it must be her own fault.

Personality: Malady is bitter, unhappy, angry, malicious, petty, shallow, superficial, easily distracted, and easily bored. It is impatient, it is cowardly, it is easily hurt, and it keeps grudges until the end of time. In short, Malady is not a very nice creature.
Significance to Paestri: Malady is actually the embodiment of all the negative emotions and concepts Paestri no longer wishes to experience. The Intangible is what Paestri doesn't want to feel, like guilt, and anger and hatred. It is her awkwardness, it is her sense of discomfort, and whenever Paestri is in a situation that would normally cause her to feel any of the "unwanted", it is Malady who expresses this.

Eenie so much fun! She has sparkly stuff on her wings and they make you go through walls and stuff! It was fun hiding with the pots and making Leenee and Eeenie's mama think we turned into pots.
Paestri now adores Breena for the lovely pink crystal, whatever doubts she has of the deathly pale Legend has vanished with that token. And it doesn't strike her as odd that Breena knew where to deliver the crystal. Not in the least.
Paestri doesn't fully understand why Chandra is cold, but she seems content with the explanation that the older Legend is 'special.' She is more curious about Chandra's taste and would like to get to know her better. She also likes the pretty music that comes from the churros-like thing Chandra was playing with.
Thoughts currently in progress
Paestri likes Gyre, she looks up to the older Legend and views her as someone wiser and someone to learn from. She is curious about the masks and wonders what their purpose is. Paestri hopes to be able to see more of Gyre and is now curious about how she would taste.
Paestri doesn't hate him even though he hit her when they first met. But she is absolutely terrified of this Legend because of the way he tasted. She doesn't understand why he hit her in the first place and wonders whether it was her fault or if she provoked him or something. Either way, Paestri is sure to avoid going anywhere near Ink.
Paestri doesn't know much about her, except that she must have done something to offend Vive because a huge wave of water suddenly appeared out of no where.
Paestri is curious about Loki, why did he taste that way? Why does he look so sad? Why doesn't Leenee like him? So many questions that are unanswered, but Paestri feels that she'll get a chance to find them eventually. At least she hopes so, because she likes Loki not only because he gave her that belt thingy, but because he was really nice to her. Even though he was a little mean at first, and he was the first Legend to make her sniffle.
Ever since the first time they met, Paestri has always been a little curious about Mayu. And now that she knows what she tastes like, and having gone 'sploring' with her, Paestri hopes that their friendship will continue to grow.
Paestri wants to get to know her more since she's with Aunt Matisha and hopes they'll be friends.
Paestri recently encountered the older Tale just a few days after receiving that odd seemingly permanently-fused-shut locket. They met briefly, and Paestri has taken a strong liking to her, not exactly the same way as she does Gyre, but she likes Prana a lot. She's particularly interested by the taste she got when she touched Prana.
Paestri likes Vavalion because he wasn't rough or mean to her in any way. Although she is mildly envious of how close he seems to be with Loki, but she has no trouble with sharing.Strangers

Personality: Affectionate and loving, it's obvious if Huni likes a person, however, she's extremely self-conscious about her image and whether or not people like her. She tries her best to put her best foot forward as often as possible, but when she's in the comforts of her own home, she's usually more relaxed about how people will see her. Possibly due to the "home court" advantage she's learned from Addy. Huni is also generous with the ones she likes, often ending up in debt and/or near bankruptcy, but thanks to her friends, she manages to survive her worse case scenarios. Her view on parenthood is that she prefers to have children that are not genetically her own. Because she belives in single blessedness, that and she saw some of the memories Addy has of watching those "The Miracle of Birth" documentaries and has been traumatized by them.
Huni is also someone who is easily amused, and has shallow happiness. She is a sucker for anything squishy and simple gestures of kindness can easily earn you a place in her heart. But she is one to carry a grudge and let resentment build inside her, she finds it hard to express her anger or dislike, especially to the people involved.
History: Huni is the alter-ego of Addy, but she is not the first alter-ego. This particular Huni has been recreated in the exact image of the first, only without the first Huni's experiences. She has started anew and currently finding out just how much of her "life" Addy left to chance. At the moment, she is living in a two story house that also houses the shop she co-owns with Syrie. This house apparently has been entrusted to her for some reason and the odd Study and psycho Tome seem to be it. The purpose of her creation just might be tied with the Tome and the Study somehow, but Addy refuses to say anything about the matter.

Personality: Whiney, anti-social, callous, and inarticulate Avi is certainly no ray of sunshine. He dislikes a lot of things and while he has a hard time expressing his displeasure, he won't think twice about saying how much he dislikes something. It isn't easy to get along with Avi if you're the sort who is compelled to be friends with everyone, as any attempts at getting him to engage in sociable activities are met with violent resistance.
Relationship with Paestr: Avitus certainly puts a new meaning to the phrase "Small but terrible" and the Feien is terrible at making friends, being friendly are accepting offerings of friendship. Unfortunately, Paestri had to discover this the hard way... Nickname: None

Relationship with Paestri: Paestri is now scared of Ning, not because of anything the Fandangle has done but because of the way she looks. Egads that mustache looks creepy... and to Paestri, there is such a thing as being too shiney. But if she closes her eyes, Ning isn't so bad, she is a bit bothered that the Fandangle keeps erasing her scribbles...
