It has been 100 years since the Relinquished Hope Organization was vanquished and the Mystic Fountain was sealed in the goddess realm. The Mystic Fountain High School has thrived in its memory, accepting students of all backgrounds.

Wizards, alchemists, werewolves and more, the school accepts them all. The school has thousands of classes ready to sculpt the minds of young heroes who are looking to master their powers.

Summer has ended and the teachers watch as the buses, boats, and planes drop off new and old students. With the new year comes new expectations, but unknown to the teachers and students, an ill wind is passing through the halls. A new war to possess the Mystic Fountain will soon erupt!

And as we all may or may not know by this point, there are more items than just the Mystic Fountain. Oh, it's much more complicated than that. It's not just good versus evil. It is, as I once so quaintly put it, a multifaceted struggle for power, dominance, and survival. With a bit of good old fashioned romance and rivalry thrown in. Mostly adventure and action though.

THE STORY SO FAR:

As most of us are aware, MFHS has a turbulent history. Five years ago, the Headmistress Mrs. Setsuka attempted to take the Fountain for her own. She was stopped. Not long after, a god-like entity, Riser, attempted the same thing. He also failed.

The destruction to the school was great. Over the course of the next five years, the school would be rebuilt little by little. Today, it is but a ghost of its former self with only a fraction of the former students and staff.

And as of now, things are quite chaotic. A "Mr. Kite" attacked the school, then forced Dymetri to shoot his through the head. This revealed Mr. Kite to be an android capable of magic, of all things. Such a thing is almost unheard of, but the android bore the mark of Enlil Co., a company once owned and operated by Ialo Enlil, the Headmaster of MFHS.

Many events happened in quick succession after the attack. Luna searched the school, but could not find Ialo. His whereabouts are unknown. Danni went to the Third Gate of Hell, accompanied by Night and Athena, and the three teens retrieved an ancient scroll.

ADDITIONAL:

The roleplay will now proceed, not with a timeskip of one month like planned, but merely a two day timeskip.
I will then move the story along as I see fit.
New users, it would be much easier for us all if ou assume that your character has been here for most, if not all of the school year so far.
And if my memory has not failed me, it should be approximately March in the RP.

This roleplay is now open.

((Cool, time skip.))

The cafeteria doors slammed open bright and early this morning, and Danni appeared, running the back of her hand over her forehead. "Ok, people, the cafeteria's open and the kitchen's running! Get it while its hot!" She announced, and this was followed by several cheers and a rushing of feet. For the past two days, people had been working overtime to fix up what Mr. Kite's bombs had destroyed. This had included the kitchen and part of the cafeteria, among several other places.

Now, using what she'd learned from the Scroll, Danni had a protective shield around the school grounds that would stand up against anything, even specially made bombs. And now, with forty eight hours of hard work and sweat, the cafeteria had opened its doors once more, and the kitchen was up and going, courtesy of a special delivery of new cooking equipment. Now everything gleamed, and Danni cheered mentally. For the past two days, she and Cook had been working out of the shack during meal times, carting trays of sandwiches and lemonade around campus, delivering them first to those helping rebuild what had been destroyed.

Now she watched as students piled in, heading for the hot breakfast line, where they piled scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, homefries, and sausage onto new trays. As she watched them laugh and eat, she felt a familiar hand on her shoulder, and turned to face Cook. He held out a plate spilling over with food, shoving it into her hands. "Sit and eat, little one. You've worked hard, so relax a bit before your classes." He said, and she nodded, smiling. "I'll see you at lunch, Daddy." She said, and went off to sit at a table.

Where, she thought, looking around, were Athena and Maggie? She could usually count on them for some good breakfast conversation. But for now, she sat alone, pulling out the Scroll and deciphering a couple more of the ancient spells as she stuffed her face with food.

The First day after the bombing of the school Chris has already found and Infiltrated Enlil Co., through one of the many Air ducts around the facility. Altho he lost Ra in the process of getting in he wasn't worries about him. The next day was spent scurrying around the building's Giant industrial Vents, searching for anyone he even remotely remembered. The only thing that filled his mind was finding the scumbags that tried to use him like a lab rat.

Chris was now sitting quietly watch one of the warehouses from high above in the vents. The cold air that rushed through the building didn't effect him at all. "Show yourself you b*****d. I don't care if your accompanied by a million soldiers I'll rip your heart out." He whispered to himself, watching the men unload cybernetic parts and armor from crates on the truck. He figured there must be at least a ton of equipment per truck. He sighed figuring that no one was going to show in the ware and quickly dashed away too another location, his feet moving with soundless step through the seemingly endless maze of passageways.

Night was floating above Danni, In his child form, reading over the text on the scroll with her. "Alright Danni what did you get from that endless piece of ancient decomposing paper?," Night asked lazily Yawning from his boredom. "You know it's been two days right? You really should stop trying to kill yourself over that dame scroll," Night told her persistently over the past couple days, seeing as how she Continued to work nonstop. He knew she probably didn't even hear a word He said since she was reading again. "Hello! Night too little ms. Sunshine! Come in Danni, Are you there?" He asked sarcastically.

BOOM! BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! KABOOOOOM!

The entire building shook. Over a mile up on the top floor, Krauser felt the tremors, saw his coffee spill from its cup and his 3rd Lt. spill to the floor in a similar manner.
"What in God's name is the meaning of this!" he roared, crashing his aged hands into the solid oak of his desk. He raised his hands, as though curious.
They stung.
He had not been able to feel his hands in twelve years.

Meanwhile, Ra sat in the vents. He had been the one to rig the explosions in the warehouses, he had been the one to weld the armory shut, and he was the one waiting for Chris to stumble upon him so that their operation could resume.

Ella sat in the court yard with Valrie. "Happy birthday, Valrie." She said with a smiled as she breaided her daughters hair. "Great Gran says hi and that Kris is doing well." Ella had decided to let her grandmother take care of Kris as seeing it was safer for him there then here. She tied the end of Valrie's hair once she finished the first braid. Valrie looked at her and she just smiled. "One more." She said before starting on the second braid. "What?1" She took hold of Valrie when she felt trimmers.

((Hey all, I'm new to this thread. But due to the nature of my character, assume he knows most of the staff, the headmaster, and Danni since he's going to be the new spellcasting teacher.))

The wind was picking up slightly around MFHS as the sun was beginning to rise over the horizon. A single figure was gliding over the treeline, heading directly towards the school in question. The figure was a young man, looking to be in his mid 20's. He had purple hair and the look of a spellcaster about him, mostly due to the fact that he was flying at the moment. The man began to think to himself as he neared his destination. He had not been at the school for several years, and he had only just heard about the attacks that had been happening to it. He had spent the first several days of his journey cursing himself for not being there to help when it all happened. But after a few days had passed and his resolve had hardened, the man knew that all he could do now was to come back quickly and do what he could.

It was a little after 9 when the man finally made it to the outskirts of the campus. He barely recognized the landscape around him. Trees had been uprooted or destroyed in several areas, and pieces of debris from the school littered the grounds and pathway towards the school. The man set down on the path that lead towards the school so he could get a better idea of what had happened during his absence. The man walked toward the school and almost passed out from disgust as he saw what had happened to the school.

The school had been nearly destroyed. Almost all of the wings were crumbling, and the only things that seemed to be standing looked as if they were recently rebuilt. The man closed his eyes and shook his head in anguish. He silently seethed to himself as he took in the situation.

Alec, you idiot. You could have helped stop this!

((I'll say welcome, then!))

Danni looked up for a moment from her Scroll and raised a brow at Night. "It's easy enough to understand once you get started and replace the squiggle things with words. And look, I'm a quarter of the way through already. Just a few more days, and I'll be able to say I've mastered all of the Scroll. Not to mention I'll be able to do a whole lot more with my powers." She added, and looked down in some surprise when she saw that all her food was gone. Since she still had an hour or two before her first class, she immediately stood.

"Well, Night, you ready for some more construction? Got your hardhat?" She asked, starting out of the cafeteria. The first thing she was doing was putting the trees back up. They were annoying as hell, and idiots kept tripping over the branches. So, holding her hands palm out, she curled in her fingers, lifted her arms as she mumbled under her breath. One by one, the trees that had fallen righted themselves, their roots burying themselves in the ground again. Though it took only a few minutes, it seemed like much longer to Danni, who had to concentrate completely the whole time.

Then she moved onto the partially destroyed west wing of the school. A few yards away, she couldhear the hammering and drilling and shouts of people working to repair the dorm rooms. Surveying the damage, Danni decided they needed someone to get the crumbling stone walls back up. And who better to repair stone walls than the stone man in the kitchen? Pulling Zapporo out of her bag, Danni petted him absently before saying, "Go get Daddy, Zap. We need his help for a bit." Zap nodded his carpet head, then took off through the air. He returned minutes later with Cook on his back, who jumped off and raised a brow.

"You sending a carpet after me now, Danni girl?" He asked, and she grinned. "Yep. We need your help getting these stone walls back up." She said, and he frowned. "Why didn't you just say that before? Stand back." When Danni obliged, he cracked his knuckles, then grit his teeth and held out his hands. As he raised them, walls of stone rose from the ground. With careful and precise control, he reformed the walls of the west wing, in a fraction of the time it would've taken to do by hand.

"All right, Da! You rule!" Danni exclaimed when he was finished, seeing that he'd even left holes that would serve as windows. "Awesome! I can get started on the inside now." She said, and Cook nodded. "Look on in there. I've got the stone floors up i there too, stone steps." He said, and laughed hen Danni wrapped her arms partially around his wide chest. "You're an artist, love, an artist!" She said, and he scratched the back of his head.

"Buncha blarney comin' outta yer mouth now, girl. I've got to be getting on, now. Put up a few more walls before I get back to my kitchens. Wear that hardhat I gave you, ya here? Buncha kids carrying hammers." He said, and she laughed, nodded. "Will do. Go on now." She said, and when he turned and left, she turned and headed into the stone arch that he'd made as the entrance. Looking up, she saw he had indeed put in the stone floors and walls, along with the staircases.

"Good job...Let's get working on installing these white boards. I'm pretty sure te west wing is classrooms anyway." She said to no one in particular, and grabbed a power drill as though it were six shooter, a grin on her face.

Athena yawned, and stretched while she pulled herself to an upright position in her bed. She glanced at her clock and used the edge of her oversized black and red pajamas to rub the last of sleep from her eyes. Then she froze, and yelped. "Not again!"

Mm, she was late once more. Within five minutes--might be a record, folks!--she dressed and all but ran to the kitchen. She got there and ate enough for a small army in three minutes flat, totaling herself at about eight minutes since she'd initially awoken. Of course, she'd forgotten some important things: school stuff, shoes, and her key.

She groaned, slamming her head down on the table she sat at, her hair still rather messy and her clothes thrown on. It was easy to notice that her brightly decorated shirt was inside-out and backwards.

((Sorry, scratch that. Alec wouldn't know who Danni is exactly, only from stories from cook. So Danni wouldn't know who Alec is either.))

Alec stood there in silent reverence for a few more minutes before he decided to start his walk up to the school. But as he began to walk, he felt the earth near the school grounds tremor, as if something was moving it. Alec almost decided to run and see what the commotion was, but something about the tremor seemed familiar.

Why was that tremor so familiar? What could possibly...

And then it hit Alec like a ton of bricks. No way, he thought to himself, there's no way that old geezer is still around. Alec quickened his pace to see if he could catch sight of the old Irish cook he had befriended while he was still at the school. But as he reached the main entrance, Alec saw someone else. Standing there, holding a power drill in one hand like it was a six shooter, was not the Irish cook, but a young woman. Alec was curious who she was, most likely a student by her young appearance, but Alec was curious about something. Something about this girl reminded him of Cook. Turning his head to the side, Alec wondered if this was the Danni Cook had told him about almost 6 years ago when he left. Walking up to the school, Alec tried his best to look kind and nonthreatening as he approached the girl. "Excuse me," he said in a kind tone, "Forgive me for sounding creepy, but you wouldn't happen to be Danni, would you?"

Chris stumbled for a moment as the building shook, "What in the...," He asked himself before smirking. He figured it must have been Ra, or an attack from a rival agency, Putting the thought aside her continued his way through the vents, His weightless steps made it as if only air were in the vents. He ran for no more then a minute when he saw a dark figure ahead, Stopping her looked at it seeing it was Ra. "Yo What's up, Having fun?" He asked approaching him.

"Yeah right," Night answered her throwing the yellow helmet on his head. He followed her throughout her little adventure, Looking glumly at the entire school. "You know Kai was doing this by himself before you came here, right? This probably would have brought a tear to his eye." Night chuckled noticing an angel passing them, Her eyes watering slightly. "How odd," He told himself following Danni too the class rooms.

"This is easy stuff," Night mumbled picking up the board, one handed, placing it against the wall. "You screw it in, I'll hold it up."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 26, 2009 11:55 am

"Sure thing," Danni said to Night, and was just about to drill in the first screw when someone said her name from behind her. Taking the time to securely place the bolt, she took her time turning around. She found herself facing an unfamiliar man, and she raised a brow. Since he hadn't dare call her Izadora, he obviously hadn't been sent by her old man, so that was fine. And since he hadn't called her Shadow Runner, he wasn't from hell, so that added more points for him right away.

Still, she wasn't one to trust quickly. "I might be, unless you're out to collect a debt of some sort and/or try to kill me. If either of those two is the case, then no, I'm not." She said, then sighed and leaned against the wall to keep the partially secured board in place. Crossing her arms, she studied him. "Let's say, hypothetically of course, that I am Danni. Give me one reason I shouldn't turn you into a frog and send you hopping. What do you want? Da, Night, and I have buildings to put up." She said a bit impatiently, not considering that he might actually be friendly.

In her life experience, no one but Night, Cook, and occasionally Ambrose were ever friendly towards her. Everyone else either barely tolerated her or wanted her dead. Now she'd have to see which category this guy fell into.

Alec clapped his hands together in joyful recognition when his thoughts we're confirmed. "I knew it! There's only one girl who would ever call that old Irish cook 'Da'." Jay smiled to himself as the fact that Cook was still around, and probably nearby, sank in. But then Alec immediately slapped his hand to his face as he realized how stupid he looked in this situation. He looked up at Danni and spoke apologetically. "I'm sorry, we've never met. My names Alec, Alec Leaton. I used to work with your dad back before all this happened." Alec motioned with his hands at the sorry state the school was currently in. Alec shook his head again, feeling guilty once more for not being around when all the fighting went down. "I shoulda never left. I could have helped stop this."
