So, do you preform in the marching band question It seems pretty fun on the outside, but I can tell it takes a lot of hard work and practice.

But it's like a cult! Once you get in, you CANT get out. Thats how I got stuck doing it for three years... stare By the way... COLORGUARD ROCKS!!! (I'm a guard gal)

Marching band is really fun, but working on the music 4 measures at a time sucks. But when everyone has it memorized (I had my music memorized after 6 days of band camp) then it's fun because you play the whole show through, not 4 measures of it.

Im in the Parkway High School Marching Band of Bossier City Louisiana and I think it pretty great. Cause you got the drama, fights, the homos(which i love dearly), and the band trips. On the band trips alot of stuff being down. Yeah people be getting into trouble in the end but its kinda of cool rethinking those moments and wishing what coulda or shoulda happened. I think band is pretty awesome, there is a lot of hard work you have to do to stay out of trouble and strive to be the best in state but other than that band reminds me of the episode of the hills. Especially if your on pit like me you have to deal with a lot of haters because they think that the only work we do is just stand there and look pretty but we are the ones who have to load and haul all of our instruments everywhere we go. So basicly we're doing the same amount of work they are. They just lucky their equipment doesnt weigh over 50 pounds.

Marching band is so amazing! I mean, it's a huge pain, but I always feel so accomplished. And it makes me feel special when the crowd cheers for us. xd

Gosh I just love marching band~! Especially when you go to band camp. Mostly since you can be able to say or relate to "This one time at band camp.."
Like for me, this one time in band camp we had our instruments in the school cafeteria since they were waxing the band hall. So here we are in an extremely dark cafeteria since the lights were out trying to put our instruments away. Well I was walking to my case, [I play Tuba btw 8D!] and I'm just walking and BAM my leg hits the case hard that I almost fall face foward WITH a marching Tuba (Sousaphone) on! Ah god that was hilarious~!! XD;;;
See? You get those stupid memories like that in marching band, and any band in general. :]

Theyre will be times when you want to shoot yourself in the foot and smakc yourself and think 'Why the hell am I doing this?!?' But in the end you'll look back at your performance and think 'OMFG I LOVE IT IT WAS SOO WORTH IT SOO MUCH FUN I CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!!!!' :] It really does pay off in the end.

Yeah that's how it feels. So far my first year in marching band has had both of those moments. One's that make me want to quit right then and there, and moments that make me want to stay in marching band forever. It's hard work, but it's fun! ^U^

No offense, but I hate marching bands. I have an issue with tuning and tone. And you're shows are great, and your notes are perfect but the tuning is horrid on most, and tone is just awful. Now other than those its fantastic, and it looks pretty hard but um yeah.
