Mental Characteristics: She has little patience for boys who are looking to score; to her they are a nuisance as they generally know little to nothing about sex and even less about maintaining relationships. Because of her stubborn attitude about a portion of her male peers, Weiwin will not give said population the time of day. She will sooner walk away from scenarios involving grasping boys than stick around to be disappointed by their ineptitude. That being said, she has more interest in older men be they rakish or simply gentlemen.
Female peers of the vapid variety also get little of her attention. Those of some intelligence do sometimes catch her notice, even if they are mean spirited. She feels neither uncomfortable or comfortable around her peers - they are largely BLAH to her.
Her confidence is pit against the obvious fact that she is one amongst many striving youths at Ista Weyr. So far she has been able to maintain her aloof air, holding herself upright (nose actually pointing upward). However, after her second standing at the Horse Clutch she has actually found herself feeling for some of her peers.
Under no circumstances does she want to have a child. She doesn't really like babies and she has little patience for children. [two cents=Weiwin] They are, after all, unable to take care of themselves and are a drain on their society until they can finally be sent away to learn a trade. [/two cents] Her maternal instincts are wonky at best, though she can't quite see it.
Her work ethic is solid, that is to say she doesn’t shy away from her duties. She might be one of the few Candidates that do not mind her chores or lessons. On occasion, though she has found herself daydreaming during Candidate lessons but it’s not a chronic issue. Weiwin is a practical girl, and relatively reliable when handed responsibilities.
On a lighter note, she does feel the need to unwind often enough and is not opposed to dancing and conversing at such times. Everything in its proper place…
Abridged History: Her father is a Harper and her mother is an Artist. Weiwin grew up managing most of the mundane tasks of their small household, even though she has several half siblings none of them grew u with her. Outside of Weiwin’s uptight attitude about chores, the general mind-set around her childhood home has been loose and unhampered. Her father was in and out of their home on duties for the Harper Hall throughout the majority of her childhood, while her mother was usually busy creating artwork or chasing after inspiration. Weiwin has never been far from the Harper Hall, well that was until she was Searched and brought to Ista Weyr…
