“Oh, Reg's band? They're called the Coversluts. Reckon they're pretty decent, I’ve got a couple of their CDs in my office (laughs.) Never heard them live, but I've heard their shows are wicked.” - Harry Potter, auror and hero “Coversluts' performances speak to the rebellious teen in all of us. My son Jamie and I can listen to them in the car, and neither of us feel like we've been cheated out of choosing the music.” - Ginny Weasley, reporter for the Daily Prophet “The band has changed a lot since I was in it. We did a lot of grunge and gritty punk rock in the nineties, the pop and metal and all that didn’t really come into our style until after we were dropped by T-kun and Berlin. Coversluts' sound has definitely improved, though. Not that I'm, you know, biased or anything!” - London Sol, Hogwarts professor “Reg's kind of a douche, really immature and all that, and I've almost arrested him twice… but that doesn’t stop me from playing Coversluts when I get off work.” - Teddy Lupin, auror “I've actually gotten up on stage during one of their shows. That was years ago, but I'm as much of a fangirl now as I was then at twenty. Wish the network would let us have them on the show.” - Prudence Jordan, talkshow host on WWNN “Anyone who disagrees that Coversluts rules London's underground music scene has obviously never checked out 'underground' London on a Friday night. Not that I have (laughs), I spend my weekends safe at home. Er. Did that sound too guilty? Mad-Eye might read this.” - Nymphadora Tonks, auror and mother “I like some of their softer CDs, that self-titled one is my favorite. They're not as big at Hogwarts as they are with 20-somethings, as they'll sometimes turn students out of their performances because they don't like kids getting trampled, but I've definitely found some of their tracks on confiscated iPods.” - Mary Macdonald, Hogwarts caretaker “This so-called 'band' is nothing more than a thinly veiled social rebellion. I have heard some of their borrowed lyrics, and not only do said lyrics support the use of drugs and misuse of hallucinogenic potions, but they also advocate casual and unprotected sex, violence, and general deviance and law-breaking. Their popularity is only due to their lead singer's criminal record, and he uses it to appeal to young women! As the father of a teenage daughter, I am VERY concerned!” - Percy Weasley, Secretary of Ministry Affairs “I don’t see HOW they’ve been allowed to continue playing! Clearly they’re a negative influence - I think something needs to be done! Think of your children!” - Susan Chillanger, editor of Wizarding Mums Monthly “No comment.” - Hermione Granger, St Mungo’s healer

The Coversluts are an multi-genre band based in London, appealing both to their wizarding roots and the muggle music community. They currently perform in punk clubs such as CBGB, the metal-oriented Chaos Court, and dozens of other concert halls and clubs throughout the city.
The founder and head of the band, Reg Black, is considered the lead singer though each of the four bandmembers take turns performing vocally. As a matter of fact, each member of the band is capable of playing two or three instruments each, which makes the transition between genres much easier; this plethora of skill is necessary due to the band having only four members total. A sample of Reg's singing voice can be listened to here.
Their shows are infamous for their intensity and fan service. Reg often allows fans on the stage, offering the microphone to anyone enthusiastic and willing to help with vocals, and frequently involves the entire audience in the show, either by crowd surfing while singing, or joining the crowd in moshing or dancing. Following live performances, the Coversluts habitually linger to talk with diehard fans, sharing stories or discussing inspiration.
Due to issues with the law (including an inactive warrant on Reg and Alicia's lack of citizenship) and creative restrictions, Coversluts has never been signed, though offers have been made dozens of times in the last five years. They refuse to perform any original work, preferring instead to stick to their roots of taking others' music and using it to express themselves.
Coversluts has released over a dozen CDs, all but one being produced in the last five years. Coversluts was founded in the spring following Voldemort's resurrection. Reg Black and London Sol - infamous at that time for working both sides of the war - had taken a brief break from doing odd jobs for the Order of the Phoenix, instead spending their weekend trolling the city of London’s underground music scene. During a live performance by muggle underground band Peace-Perfection, a heavily intoxicated Reg mounted the stage during a particularly rowdy portion of the set, shoving the lead singer aside - much to the delight of the crowd, who had been booing the performance - and immediately took over the show. London joined him to replace the guitarist, and with the remainder of Peace-Perfection's band, the pair sent the crowd into screams of approval.
After a long discussion with the two remaining band members, Reg and London founded a new group, deeming themselves "Coversluts" because no one in the band at that time knew how to write their own music. The theme went over decently, and Coversluts was able to book fifteen or twenty shows a year. Their popularity was mostly based in circles of wizarding underground fans, as Reg used the band to covey his distaste for both Death Eaters and the dirty-dealing Order of the Phoenix, the message appealing to those disinterested in the Ministry's manipulations and the eagerness for bloodshed and exploitation displayed by both sides. The brutal expansion of Voldemort's influence over the wizarding world provided fuel for furthering the band’s appeal.
As the war drew to a close, Reg struggled with both personal issues and legal complications due to a lack of Ministry pardon despite his work for the Order, and the band retreated from all-magic audiences and instead turned to performing for muggle crowds. Diehard fans noted the transition and followed, packing in the occasional live show that Reg managed to book. But the inspiration seemed to have dwindled, and after two of the band members left to pursue a family setting in Japan, Reg pulled the plug on Coversluts. The band remained dormant for over two years.
It was London that encouraged Reg to take another try at rebuilding the band, and together the pair began holding auditions to fill the missing positions in the band. They burned through a series of musicians, some abandoning Coversluts while others were fired; eventually, the band settled as a trio, muggle Alicia Lee providing enough musical talent for the band to plan, record, and produce a self-titled CD that sold decently to former diehard fans and new fans who enjoyed their less grunge-oriented sound. The release renewed interest in the band, which was able to book two dozen shows the following year, gathering another swell of fans that packed the clubs Coversluts performed in.
In the middle of producing their second CD, London announced her inevitable farewell; she left the band to pursue a teaching career as a Hogwarts professor, selecting the spunky lesbian Ana Simmoans as her replacement. Reg and his two female band mates continued to occasionally perform and diligently work on their CD, meanwhile holding auditions for a much needed fourth member; Angelo Damarius, a vampire and skilled drummer, was selected to complete their group.
Whether it was the release of their second CD, or the addition of Angelo, Coversluts seemed to explode overnight; in the five short years since London’s departure, the band released just under a dozen CDs, produced a line of merchandise to promote the band, and booked their weekends for sold-out performances across London and portions of Europe. Their fan base has expanded to include both muggle and wizarding crowds, their refusal to sign with a record company and their "******** the system" attitude both appealing and inspiring the underground music scene, leading to Coversluts' explosive success.

Known AsReg Black; Regulus, Reg Band PositionLead vocalist, as well as guitarist, bassist, pianist Preferred SoundPunk, Screamo, and in some cases Pop Favorite Music to PerformThe Used, Yellowcard, Hollywood Undead, Marilyn Manson, Anberlin, Flyleaf, My Chemical Romance, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, Britney Spears, AquaInteresting FactReg has almost 50 piercings, which are often torn out during scuffles with enemies or rough moshing. He is currently dating Lavender Brown. BiographyRegulus emerged from the bowels of London as rumors of the Dark Lord's return were murmured in the magical community, his childhood forgotten and his intentions unclear. As the second war with Voldemort bubbled into chaos, Reg made himself useful to both sides; his loyalty to the Order of the Phoenix seemed to be cemented by his relationship with Hermione Granger. It was during that time that Reg and his best mate London Sol founded Coversluts. As the war spluttered to an end, Hermione left Reg and refused to allow him to be involved in the raising of their daughter, but Coversluts remained.
The band intended as, in his own words, "a big ******** You to both sides of the war." This message - often construed but never mistaken - was well received by many of the younger citizens of London, muggle and wizarding alike. Known AsAngelo Damarius; Angelo, Lo, Angel Band PositionDrummer, back up vocalsPreferred SoundRock, MetalFavorite Music to PerformDisturbed, Jay Gordon, Korn, HIM, 69 Eyes (lol), Gary Numan Interesting FactAngelo is a 300 year old vampire who refuses to drink blood, receiving nourishment from potions instead. He hates fan girls, but won't verbalize or act out his opinion of them because he is polite. BiographyBorn and raised in Seville, Spain, Angelo does not have the background of the average vampire. His childhood and early adult life are muddled due to the trauma of his change, though he is loath to refer to them in conversation to begin with; historical documents dragged up by fans confirm he was married and had a child not long before he was turned, and was both an artist and a talented architect, his village primarily magical. What Angelo does recall is that following an evening of celebration in honor of his wife's birthday, Angelo took a drunken walk through the fields surrounding their home, laughing and singing as he danced by himself in the dark; his voice caught the attention of wandering vampire Tarot, who selfishly chose to turn him so that they could be eternal companions.
His early years as a vampire are also blurred by time and trauma; he abandoned his sire and left to wander Europe, eventually he came to terms with Tarot’s selfish decision - and despite their differences, the two remain loose friends to this day. He eventually came to settle in England, avoiding the wars that shuddered the wizarding world, disinterested in their complications. He gradually became intrigued by London's underground music scene, by chance meeting Reg Black and becoming part of his band. Known AsAna Simmoans; Ana, A Band PositionBass player, vocalistPreferred SoundRock, Pop, Alternative Rock, Industrial, PunkFavorite Music to PerformParamore, Evanescence, Flyleaf, Seether, Linkin ParkInteresting FactAna considers herself straight-edge and therefore will not drink, do drugs, or have sex with anyone but her girlfriend Alicia. BiographyWhile attending Hogwarts, Ana was a rather typical muggle-born Gryffindor student, surrounding herself with friends and receiving Acceptables in her classes. In her fourth year, however, Ana embarked in what her parents later labeled a “downward spiral,” having developed feelings for one of the classmates in her gaggle of friends; with innocent beginnings of hand-holding and shy kissing, Ana and her significant other slowly explored their relationship - as lesbians. Unfortunately, Ana’s family was among the few in England still clutching to homophobic roots, and when Ana was penalized at Hogwarts for having sex in an empty classroom with her girlfriend, Ana was rejected by her parents. Working through a Hogwarts program intended for students in her situation, Ana was able to get a waitress job in Hogsmeade to support herself, attending her seventh year of Hogwarts to complete her education.
Upon graduating from Hogwarts, Ana abandoned her former social circle for London’s underground. Months of exploring produced a muddled path to punk club CBGB, where she was spotted by Coversluts’ London Sol. In the spring following her nineteenth birthday, Ana was accepted as London’s replacement, and began working with the band to produce a CD. Known AsAlicia (ah-lee-cee-UH) Lee; Alicia, America Band PositionKeyboardist, guitarist, occasional vocalsPreferred SoundPop Rock, Punk, Black MetalFavorite Music to PerformMindless Self Indulgence, Pink, Rediscover, Breaking Benjamin, Girls Aloud, PlaceboInteresting FactDespite the obvious flaws in her views, Alicia identifies as a "anarchistic pacifist." She is incredibly quiet, preferring a microphone to a conversation to express herself. BiographyAlicia was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the adored child of a closeted ***** lawyer and his pill-popping housewife. A strong protester of the American educational system, Alicia was expelled from high school after her frequent campaigning stunts became violent. The resulting shattered ankle was only newly healed when she acquired her father's business expense credit card, purchasing a ticket to London before he parents could decide to send her to a private school that would only continue to smother her sense of self.
Alicia spent the first decade of her adulthood in London attempting to find a rewarding career without the education to support it. She eventually became involved in the London underground music scene - which included discovering the wizarding band Coversluts, headed by Reg Black and London Sol. Alicia became an immediate fan of their "******** the system" attitude, and eagerly applied when a position as a Coversluts' keyboardist presented itself. Upon acceptance, Alicia was introduced to a world she had previously been ignore of: the Wizarding World.

»» Despite negative publicity accusing Coversluts of supporting the D3ath 3ater movement, no member of the band approves of the organization's intentions or actions. Angelo is particularly vocal on this matter.
»» Angelo is frequently without a shirt. Which is an unfortunate tease, as he refuses to have sex with any fan.
»» Alicia and Ana's first kiss was public, after a rowdy crowd begged Reg to urge his female bandmates make out on stage.
»» Lavender Brown has not missed a Coversluts performance since she began dating the lead singer.
»» Ana is often described as bouncy, and frequently harasses Reg - occasionally shoving him around - over his drug use.
»» Alicia also manages most of the band's affairs, including organizing practices, overseeing merchandise production, and assessing the sound system and stage safety at their shows.
»» Reg has expressed interest in playing a lighter show at Jello Fishes, but the club's manager has repeatedly refused to host a performance.
