Name: T'ka (Formerly Tseka) Sex: Female (Heterosexual) Age: 19 Physical Description:Tseka is a peculiar combinations of traits, in both a pleasing and awkward fashion. First of all, she is extremely tall. A few inches taller than most adult males. Her father is a smith, and that's where she gets it from. She's well built, leggy etc. but doesn't quite look like an ideal female. Her shoulders are a little too wide and strong, her arms too muscled, and she posesses a great lack of breast and thigh. She doesn't curve as much at the waist as she should, but her legs are built just fine. Her hair is a honey blond color, slightly wavy, kept a little longer than shoulder length, but it does not live up to its potential. Too many hours spent close to the fire and heat of the forge have toasted it, split the ends, made it brittle and frizzy. Her face is a little gaunt, the area around her eyes dark. Lack of sleep causing the latter, and the former by an obsession with work, when meals are often forgotten. Her skin is naturally very pale, but lots of outdoor time and evenings spent by the fire have turned her a creamy tan. Her eyes are a dark chocolate color, flecked through with lighter bits of coffee brown. They're the most noticable feature on her face, and sometimes seem to be the only thing alive about her. She dresses as simply as possible, in thin cloth, that covers most of her body, so that while protected from the fire, she doesn't easily overheat. Personality: Tseka is...bold. She's confident, but rarely outspoken. Normally she's quite and reserved of opinion, only resorting to verbal quarreling when she's agitated. She knows what she wants, and tries hard to get it, but is seldom manipulative or conniving. She tries hard to abide by the morals her father ingrained in her at an early age, honesty and responsibility chief among them. That said, she's still a little rough sometimes, for without the lack of a mother, some of the more refined parts of politeness were left untouched. When she speaks, she can be painfully candid, expressing her honest opinion on things, and can be insulting without trying to be. She's encountered a few instances that are slowly curbing her of this habit, but it stills pops up from time to time. That said, she is cunning. Just because she's honest doesn't mean she won't trick you. She does really like things to go her way. She just won't lie while doing so. Tseka hates to be outdone and showed up, and often gets frustrated when she feels she isn't performing at her best. She obeys authority, but doesn't enjoy it, and orders are often returned with resentment. She's loyal to the end, and although not terribly well versed in the ways of friendship, she does try to be nice to people. She feels responsible in a way for everyone, and would help a stranger on the street, if the situation touched her in any way. She has trouble understanding the bond between mother and child, as she can not remember hers, and affection is foreign to her. In fact, she doesn't really like to be 'touched' per say. Shying away from phsyical contact when she can, though mentally, she's just fine with people. Because of this trait, and her somewhat awkward structure and manner, Tseka has never had a 'signifigant other', or anything relatively close. She's as naive about boys as a four year old. History:Tseka was born into Smithing. Her mother died when she was young, leaving her with only her father for company. Her father was loving, but was extremely devoted to his craft, so as a child, Tseka spent many evenings on the floor in her father's work area. Naturally, she grew up watching and learning, trying her hand at the craft as early as she was permitted. She wasn't terribly good at it, but after years of practice, her skill has developed nicely. She might be able to make Journey rank soon, even, were she not female. For while there are no rules against in, in a field such as smithing, there is a lot of prejudice still against girls, particularly one as young as Tseka, reaching any sort of rank. Biting her tongue, she practices, bothered and annoyed, but never presented with a chance to prove herself. Feed me, now. I am hungry! Haanyath needs food. Those were the words that gave T'ka a chance. Changed her life forever. Bonded to the infamous Haanyath, T'ka lived out her time as a Weyrling with eager anticipation and adoration for her bonded. They could do things together, make a difference. Working hard, working long, and working without complaint, T'ka, and Haanyath, found pride and pleasure in their efforts, and the results of said efforts, and the opportunities that opened up for them. Pets: A green Flit, named Xythe; A bronze flit, named Daeok Pet Notes/History: Tseka got Xythe recently. As a reward for a job well done, the Smith Hall decided to award Tseka's father with a firelizard egg. However, rather than keep it himself, he gave it to his daughter, as a sign of love, with the excuse that he hardly had enough time for himself, he would never have enough time for a Flit. Thus Tseka was blessed with Xythe. Or was she cursed? Xythe is more intelligent and cunning than you'd expect out of a Flit, much less a green. She's a supple, dark leafy velvet, perfect for crouching about and pounching on passersby. She's mischievous and tricky, but is exceptionally loyal. Trips between are rare, as she has a great fondness for hanging around with Tseka, and watching her work. Xythe has not yet risen, and it is not yet known what the effect will be on the physically disinclined Tseka. However it turns out, it will undoubtedly be interesting, as Xythe and Tseka share a close bond. Daeok was recieved in a similar, but different fashion. A smith journeyman came to the smith hall, on the business of checking on the apprentices, and to report on those she felt ready to try out for journey rank. He reviewed Tseka's work with enthusiasm, saying that the crafter of the goods was ready, and revealed the reward. The smith in question had recently been in Southern, and had picked up five fire lizard eggs, four of which he was giving out now to those he felt deserving. However, it didn't go so well when he actually me Tseka, and found out she was a girl, much less already had a firelizard. He couldn't very well take back his gift, but he denied her being allowed to try and attain a higher rank, saying that 'upon further review' her work was still unsatisfactory. Tseka bears a lot of resentment over this, but she has little Daeok to show for it. Unfortunately, the fact that Deaok turned out to be a bronze only deepened resentment, and put more distance between Tseka and a lot of the other apprentices. Daeok, as opposed to Xythe's mischief, is layed back and mellow. He loves food even more than your normal flit, if that's possible, and his routine hang out is either curled around Tseka's neck, or cradled in her arm. He loves affection, and is reminiscent of a puppy sometimes, the way he yearns for attention and all. Dragon: Haanyath Color: Green Notable features: Haanyath is squat, muscled, and very wher-like. She's a mild lime green, with darker green spots. She's not a particularly beautiful dragon, being almost grotesquely muscled and in odd proportion, but she is rather graceful...in her own way. Personality: 'Angry Haanyath is angry'. It's a bit of a joke, but also painfully true. Haanyath always seems to be angry, upset, or bothered. Her eyes might as well be permanently red. She's not social, at all. Especially with flits and children. Don't let them near her. At all. Ever. Don't even think of touching her, petting her, or otherwise showing her affection. She tolerates it from her rider, from anyone else, it's unacceptable. She's liable to snap, show teeth, hiss...you get the idea. The point is, Haanyath is not nice. She's best to just ignore, or, if you must, tolerate with mild agreement. Disagreeing with Haanyath is just as bad as trying to pet her, or maybe even worse. She loves to hunt, about one of the only times she's happy is when she's just killed something. She goes after the fastest, strongest animals just because she can. Haanyath also doesn't admit to other dragons being her siblings, but for a few exceptions. She also thinks she's the best dragon ever, and loves to be praised for her magnificence. She's very loyal to T'ka, but the Weyr she could really care less about. Long story shot...'Angry Haanyath is Angry'

This is Haanyath's amazing sheet. Much Love to Sil ~ heart The HyenaHyenas seem to have originated 26 million years ago from arboreal ancestors bearing similarities to the modern Banded Palm Civet. Although hyenas bear some physical resemblance to canids, they make up a separate biological family that is most closely related to Herpestidae (the family of mongooses and meerkats), thereby falling within the Feliformia. All species have a distinctly bear-like gait due to their front legs being longer than their back legs. The Aardwolf, Striped Hyena and Brown Hyena have striped pelts and manes lining the top of their necks which erect when frightened. The Spotted Hyena's fur is considerably shorter and spotted rather than striped. Unlike other species, its mane is reversed forwards.
Spotted Hyenas and, to a lesser extent, Striped and Brown Hyenas, have powerful carnassial teeth adapted for cutting flesh and premolars for crushing bone. Spotted Hyenas have a strong bite proportional to their size, but the view that they have the strongest bite is a myth; and a number of other animals (including the Tasmanian devil) are proportionately stronger. Green HaanyathThere is something primitive about Haanyath, as if her very personality is a throw back to a time where survival dictated a more brutal, predatory instinct than dragons and fire lizards have now. Watching Haanyath go to feed is truly breathtaking, in all her majesty and viciousness. She prefers to go for healthier, faster animals, relishing in the chase and her eventual conquest, proclaiming her triumph to the Weyr with a primeval screech.
Haanyath is fiercely independent, even from her rider. At a young age, she makes it clear that she does not expect to, or want to, be coddled in any way or form. She doesn’t even want her food torn into manageable chunks as a hatchling, though its best to do so, else she’ll choke. She doesn’t always know what’s best for herself, so strong is her desire to prove that she can stand wholly on her own.
While she’s close to her rider, Haanyath will always be somewhat aloof, even to her most deeply bonded. There are times when the relationship might seem trying, but it will prove worth it in the end. Deep in her heart, Haanyath is loyal to her rider, though her loyalty for the Weyr she was born in wavers. She would be fine just about anywhere, or so she believes. She’s even deluded enough to think, at times, that she doesn’t need a Weyr, that she and her rider can just escape and go live in the wild.
Haanyath has a deep hatred of fire lizards and younglings. Don’t let them get near her, or she will get snappy- quite literally. Though she would probably never hurt either, she will not hesitate to snap her jaws just inches away from tender flesh, making her reputation as an irritable and difficult to deal with dragon. That reputation wouldn’t wholly be a lie.
Unlike most greens, Haanyath bloods her kills when preparing to rise in Flight. She can last only a short while, as she doesn’t have much stamina, but she will do her best to wear out all contestants involved in that short time. Her body type is rather squat and muscled, which doesn’t make her the most lovely creature. In fact, she almost resembles a wher, though she retains elements of draconic grace. The Japanese Goddess HannyaIn Japanese folklore the female demon (oni) Hannya figures prominently. Often depicted in traditional Noh and Bunraku plays using a wooden mask of a fierce and grimacing horned demon, this malicious entity may be Japan's most well-known demon.
An ancient legend recalls how the female Hannya persecuted all who attempted to pass through the Rashomon gate of Kyoto. A staunch samurai named Watanabe no Tsuna decided to lay in wait for the demon in order to slay it, until he was eventually persuaded by a beautiful young woman to escort her into town. As they travelled, Watanabe happened to glance over his shoulder and saw the young woman transforming into a terrifying demon. As the demon then laid hold of Watanabe, he quickly wielded his sword and cut off the monster's arm. As Hannya fled screaming, Watanabe carefully wrapped the severed arm and later hid it in a secured chest.
After much time had passed and the event had faded into memory, Hannya disguised herself as Watanabe's aunt and thereby convinced him to display his "trophy" of Hannya's limb. Upon seeing her arm, the demon immediately reverted into her hideous appearance and, grabbing the arm, fled from the house of Watanabe.Oh God, Why Me?Bold Tseka Impressed an equally bold dragon. Perhaps your newly made Weyrling can teach her dragon a thing or two about being subtle or more cunning about what she wants, while Haanyath can help Tseka truly understand bonds that go deeper than flesh. Haanyath is angry face. D<

Friends
-Kyllae- T: Kyllae, you're so strange, but you're family, and I care about you. I only hope you slow down to consider the consequences of your actions once in a while. My scolding just means that I love you. H: You are not Mine, but you are her nestmate. You are the most energetic human I have met, and you talk a lot. I like you though. You are my favorite human. Excluding Mine, of course.
-Kallista & Astarteth- T: Kallista, you're probably my best friend. And roommate. How lucky is that? You've got a level head on your shoulders, which I appreciate, and you're not annoying or loud, or egocentrical. Thanks for being yourself. H:Astar, you are my only sister, and I love to make fun of your uppity ways and your regal disposition. Just because I tease you doesn't mean I dislike you, though. If you ever need me, just ask. I've got your back.
-Gh'lan & Khunoth- T: Gh'lan, you're pretty cool. For a guy. Probably the only guy cool enough to be my friend, anyway. You're a smith, or used to be, so I can relate to you. I only wish we ran into each other more. I enjoy spending time with you. H: Khunoth, you are my brother. I love to torment you. I need to make more time to see you, so that I might harass you further. Don't think for a moment that just because I'm green that I'm weak.
Acquaintances
-Nandeli & Reneneth- T: I...don't really know you. At all. Haanyath thinks highly of your dragon, but I hear you to be a rumor spreader...I'm not sure what to think H: I will admit you to be a worthy queen. You are composed, intelligent, and polite. I look forward to teaching you; if your interest in my tutelage is lasting.
Enemies
WHAT?!? No enemies! Something must be seriously wrong. eek

~JOURNAL INTRO~
To be honest, I'm not sure why I'm writing in here. Kyllae gave this journal to me, telling me that it'd be a good idea to catalog my thoughts, feelings, and ideas. That girl has so many crazy ideas...I'm not sure why I listen to half the things she says. But she seemed really persistant I try this, so...I guess I will, at least for a little while.
I'm supposed to write about myself? Well, I'm T'ka, obviously. Formerly Tseka. I'm a smith. Well...I used to be. Now I'm a dragonrider. To Green Haanyath the Angry. Who thinks that I shouldn't be writing in a journal. She doesn't see the point in recording things to reference later. Then again, she can hardly recall a thing that happened but a few days before, so...I won't be taking her advice on this matter. I'm eighteen, I'll be nineteen before too long...I have two flits, a little green named Xythe, who likes to hoard shiny things, and Daeok's my bronze, who likes nothing more than stuffing his face.
Is there anything else I'm supposed to write in here? I'm not sure...Since no one will be reading this but me, I don't really see the point of writing all about myself. I should think I already know everything about me. But I'll humor my cousin and write a bit more.
I love working, dragons, a good cup of hot Klah in the mornings, my flits, my dragon, and my cousin. I don't like rude, lazy or annoying people, boys in general, gossip, disobedience, or loud noises. I guess I'm sort of anti-social. Well, I don't think that's the right term. I'm a girl of few friends. Quality over quantity, yeah? Haanyath's like that too, though she doesn't use the term 'friend'. Haanyath refers to dragons she likes as 'siblings'. Everyone else...is basically in no way shape or form related to her. That green is crazy. I love her. Wow, that was interesting to write. I don't think I've ever said that out loud before. Or written it before now. I suppose I'm just reserved.
I room with Kallista, rider of Green Astarteth. Kallista's nice. She respects my privacy. That's all I ask for in a roommate, but Kallista is more. I don't want to be sentimental though. I'll say that I like her and leave it at that. Haanyath likes Astar I think. Though she won't say it. At least they get along. Haanyath's a nightmare when she's unhappy. The way she behaved when we first were made to have roommates...I'll never forget it. Haanyath's such a character. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if she'd impressed to someone else. Or if I'd impressed to a less...aggressive dragon. Not that I'd have it any other way, of course, but I do wonder sometimes.
Okay then. I suppose that's enough writing. I'll get back to this later...maybe.

~ENTRY 1~ I...I can't believe I'm writing this. But...Kyllae told me to. Why am I still listening to her? She thinks this is funny...she says I'll think so later on. Maybe she's right. I'm not sure. It's partially my fault it took me by suprise. I suppose Xythe is more than old enough, but...she just didn't seem that interested. Guess I was wrong.
Now, obvious Flits share their emotions. Not as strongly as dragons, but a flighty Xythe still sends over some pretty strong vibes. Add that to...to the fact that Daeok, my Daeok, flew her, and...Needless to say, it's a good thing I was busy, and have a good control over myself, or else I might've done something regrettable. The only good thing out of it were these two pretty eggs Xythe laid. One green, one blue. I'll get Kyllae to make sketches of them. She's a better artist than I am. I told her she could have the two. Add that to the egg I won for her at the recent gather...and she's got three. She told me she'd be giving away one of them though. I don't really care either way. Xythe and Daeok keep my hands full as it is. I don't need any more flits.
I'm beginning to think I spend too much time doing things for her. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. She's a stupid idiot, but she's my stupid idiot. Okay then. Enough on flit problems.
