Philadelphia Roll Recipe

Yummy Philadelphia Roll

Even those folks who swear they hate sushi can be won over with just one bite of a yummy Philly roll. The smoked salmon and cream cheese are a match made in heaven!

This following recipe makes two large rolls.
Ingredients
*
Philadelphia Cream Cheese
*
4 ounces smoked salmon
*
2 toasted Nori sheets
*
1 cup sushi rice
*
green onions
*
dried bonito flakes (these are dried fish shavings. Leave these out if not suited to your taste)

Method

1. Slice the smoked salmon into thin 1/2 inch strips
2. Cut the cream cheese into thin sticks (adjust according to how much you love cream cheese!)
3. Place one sheet of toasted nori seaweed on a bamboo rolling mat - make sure the shiny side is facing down
4. Cover the seaweed with prepared sushi rice (don't stuff too much on) - leave an inch of the seaweed bare at the top
5. Place ingredients length-ways in the centre of the rice

Rolling your Philadelphia Roll

1. Lift the sushi mat by placing your thumbs underneath the mat
2. Grasp the ingredients with your remaing fingers to keep everything in its place
3. Gently squeeze and form the roll using both hands
4. Slowly unroll the mat and as you do this bring the roll back to the edge of the mat
5. Repeat these steps until all of the nori disappears
6. Moistion a very sharp knife and cut your roll into 8 pieces
7. Serve with wasabi, shoyu and ginger

Stages and Other Art

Philly's first stage is that of a roll of food. It's he just cute? Just cute enough not to eat!

Ferment Philly's second stage. Isn't even cuter them before? He seems to watch others and then give them nick-names. Not sure others like that. He also seems to want gold.

Philly is looking snazzy as he grows. He has a nice hat and vest and is ready for anything.

For Halloween Philly went as a very rich king. He didn't like my idea of going as a prisoner.

Rooms

This is the room where Philly, Luna, Saraphina and Venice live. It is the small attic of Mina. It is just the right size for the food-adult Sushi and his Kirin pal. Mina found the furniture at a doll house store. Saraphina then put it all together as the fairy fox girl could not get in. She is too big.



In case anyone wanted to know and see the room where said fairy fox girl lives here it is. Ya think she likes purple?

Saraphina is a Kirin pal. She was won before Philly so she knows Mina a little more then Philly. She understands what to do and not to do to get the fairy fox girl upset. She likes to talk and to chat trivia. She is nice and sweet.

Prompt One:

You've been visiting the GoGo Sushi with Philly for a few days now, letting him meet other gogo. Today you caught him trying to rope a few other gogo into one of his money-making schemes. Write an example rp entry based on how you and Philly would handle this situation. You may play him as a ferment or a teen. Remember that gogo teens are only as tall as a chopstick, and a ferment is only an inch or two high and a blob.

Philly had been going to the Go-Go store for a few days now. Mina had been bringing him then just going and eating. This meant she left him to his own devices. He had come up with the perfect way to make some nice money. He had decided to implement his idea that day. So far it hadn’t worked too well. All the money he had stolen…er…borrowed from Mina’s bag had all been lost.

“Step right up, step right up! Come and find the pretty lady. That’s right just find the pretty lady and you can double your Gold!” Philly the teen Sushi stood behind three cards that were slightly bent. The cards were nearly as big as he was.

Another Go-Go did as Philly asked and yet again they easily found the Queen. What with the cards being as big as the sushi and the crease being easy to see under it wasn’t any wonder.

Philly sat down behind the cards and stopped his barking. If he asked anyone else to play ‘Three Card Monty” he wouldn’t have any gold to pay them. He sighed. Not only did he not have anything to show for the days work he also didn’t have the gold to sneak back into Mina’s bag.

Just then Mina walked in. She had known what Philly had been up to all along. She looked down at the teen with a shake of her head. “So, any money,” she asked him.

Philly looked up. “Oh, ah…no… this isn’t what it looks like beautiful. It’s just a little something fun to meet the others. I wasn’t using real gold. Don’t worry about it.” He stood up and then winked at his caretaker.

Mina again shook her head. “Okay, okay I understand.” She didn’t believe his sweet words. He always tried to talk his way out of things he knew he should and would get in trouble with. He thought Mina was just a dumb blonde, and that wasn’t to say he wasn’t too far off or so it seemed.

The fairy fox handed down something. “This might work better.” She then picked up the big cards and placed them in her bag. She also put down a few gold coins. “Try again.” With that the girl skipped off. She’d check on him later. Hopefully Philly will have won her gold back.

Philly looked down at what Mina had given him. It was a deck of cards that were his size. The little teen smiled a devilish smile. He then pulled out the three cards he needed for “Three Card Monty” and bent them they way he had with the human size cards.

Philly practiced for a while with the cards before he went back to barking, “Step right up and find the pretty lady. If you find the pretty lady then you will double your money. That’s right every queen wins some gold.”

Friends and Foes

Saraphina and Mina have met Lily. She seemed nice and had a Go-Go in food form of food. Mina nearly wanted to eat it, but had her own snacks.

Mina, Saraphina and Philly as food met Kaitaia with Hello Panda as food. They chatted about the food, their names and having a play date if the food really did become something.

Mina and Philly met with Liam and Asher. They didn't seem to know what to think about Philly.

Mina and Philly also met Celeste. She wasn't sure what Philly was just she thought her drink might be a Go-Go as well.

Go-Gos

Hello Panda Philly's nick name 'Bouncy'. She's a fun girl that has a lot of energy.

Salmon Didn't get a chance to nick name yet. She seems nice and sweet.

Ascher Philly's nick name 'Princey'. Has wicked long hair and has a cool crown. Seems interesting.

Takoyaki A interesting "Lady" who likes to be saved and who Philly hopes is a good 'mark'.

Watermeat Saw didn't meet.

Sakura First teen met. Nick-named Pinky, but might not use it as Sakura did not like it.

Milkis Saw didn't meet.

Pink Peep Saw didn't meet.

Puccho Nick-named Candy but he doesn't like it. Seems okay.

Lotus Root She seems nice and like rich stuff like Philly. Lola is her name no nick from Philly yet.

Cinderella Nick-Name 'Princess'. Met as a ferment. Nice, sweet and likes to sing and dance. She wants to be famous. Philly finds her fun.

Calypso Colada Nick-Named "Crabby" which she didn't like. Watched her ferment and then she was a bit bossy.

Tea Breeze Not Nick-Named yet. Very quiet.


Koala's March no nick yet. Very talkative.

How to get points:

+ Earning points

• Activity- By being regularly active in the shop this shows us that you are dedicated. You'll likely be the first to hear of upcoming events and news, along with this you may be the first to snag points given out by staff when the shop has less traffic. We say activity is the best because you'll know before others what is going on and where to get the points.
  
  
• Zasshi - for setting up your zasshi (journal), you'll receive 2 points. We'll set the first post up for you, then the rest is up to you. A full set up journal consists of actual journal posts, not a lot of reserved posts. For every journal post that is not an rp document, but an actual journal entry for the gogo, you'll receive one point.
  
  
• Roleplay - Every RP that is completed you can gain points based on the number of pages you complete. For every page in the thread you get 1 point, for completing an RP you receive a total of 3 points. Both you and your partner(s) will acquire the same points for that RP but it must be completed. All completed RP must also be documented in your zasshi for weekly updates. Any RP not documented will not count and will have to count toward the next update week. (RP done through IM can also be documented so long as you post it in your zasshi, however the 1 point a page will not be documented this way, only 3 points for the completed entry).
  
  
• Good Deeds - By helping out around the shop, staff might reward you with points depending on your helpfulness. You may also be asked by shop staff to do specific tasks that will in turn reward you with points as well.
  
  
• Games - There may be random games that the staff may set up just for fun. These games could also net you some well deserved points. There will be announcements in the guild or in the shop with possible games that may be played in the future. Bingo or tick-tack-toe, etc...
  
  
• Events - During events, caretakers who are unable to participate for a Gogo can accumulate points through advertisement, being informational to new patrons or just bumping the thread to keep it actively visible in the forums. Non-caretakers or soon-to-be caretakers may also participate in accumulating points through these methods thought they will be limited.
