The E'he-Anda is a Pride developed around the history, and concept of the Gerudo from The Legend of Zelda. Primarily, Ocarina of Time. But some things from all games may be put to use here.

We are well aware of Utatu, the other Zelda based pride, and we are actually a sister-pride of sorts. While separate, these two prides are directly connected, and will share many events in the future. To see Utatu, please make use of the link in the Links section.

For those who know nothing of Zelda, or the Gerudo, don't worry. You don't need extensive knowledge to own a member in this pride. We'll provide all the details needed, as well as outside links, in case you're curious to learn more.

Member Traits
Pelt Color
Red: Those with red pelts are often seen as being powerful, and blessed by the gods. It is a well respected, and desired coloring, which may often be shown favoritism by the rulers.
Black/Dark: Another strong coloring, those bearing black or dark pelts are watched very closely. Their pelt gives them advantage, and better chances when aiming for many army ranks. While not seen as strongly as red, the pelt is perfect for Raiders, and is a color of deception.
White: White is known as a very pure color, looked at more for the non-combatants of the pride. One wishing to become a Raider with a very light, or white pelt, may have some difficulty.
All other colors are viewed neutrally with no special interest at this time.

Physique
One's physical build is very important when deciding what rank or future they would be best suited for. While all members are welcome to decide their own ranks to apply for, we only ask that you use common sense. If you play your character as weak, and small, they are not likely to be chosen for higher army ranks.
As the E-he'Anda are a group of many different species from all over Africa, their builds vary greatly, and no one specific type is best for the pride overall.

Personality
Again, as this is a large gathering from all over, no certain personality is best, or more suiting.
We will also not be prohibiting any type of personality. The Gerudo freely welcome all Feline species who accept their ideals.
We do, however, again, expect common sense. Your character will not be excused from the laws of the pride, just because they do something within the range of the personality we have accepted. If you play them as evil, and they kill a member of the pride, they will STILL face judgment.

Breeding
When breeding is open, a female is free to request to go out and breed with any male of her choosing, be them her mate, a pride member, a rogue, or a member of another pride. Males wishing to breed with a female outside of the pride must gain special permission from Ganon to venture out and steal the babies, or bring the female into the pride.

After birth, any males are often raised with a Aur'si(Nanny), while females are raised with their mother, or a Si'tofia(Teacher). Though this is not a requirement.

All cubs may be left with Aur'si(Nannys) of the pride, to be raised according to their physique and gender. Or, in turn, may also be raised by their mother. It is very rare, however, for a male to gain the chance to lean under a Si'tofia.

History

Under the rule of the mysterious Gannon, and their Lati, Kurage Sarai, the Gerudo make their home along the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, gladly making use of the dying lands remaining resources. Though, they are not the only ones living in this land.

The Utatu, a gathering of three prides who live deep in the center of the crater, preceded the Gerudo in this land, already having laid claim to the most beneficial areas. This, however, did not stop the band of thieves. With Gannon's helpful suggestion, they sent out groups to slip into the crater, under the cover of darkness, snatching up any fresh kill needed to feed their tribe... Along with any trinkets that caught their eye.

The Utatu did well to keep the land alive, and plentiful enough for themselves. They were peaceful, and far too easy to take advantage of. Realizing just how easy this new way of life could be, the Gerudo were quick to take advantage of it. They would gladly raid this land of all they needed to live comfortably.

But where did they begin?

One Lioness, in all her anger, began pulling others to her... Others who believed the ways taught to her by the rogue king, Ganon. Ways passed on through him by an ancient pride, long wiped out by the Utatu.

Common Weather: Intense Sun, few clouds.
Common Temperature: 84-95degrees

The E-he'Anda members live past the rise to the west, outside of the crater.

It is a very hot land, with little humidity or proper shade. The primary landscape is sand, and stone, their home being settled comfortably by a lively river at the bottom of a very deep ravine. They live along the face of the ravine, up above the river in many naturally-formed caves and caverns, where they often receive a much lower temperature.

They learn to move carefully along the many narrow natural-walkways leading in and out of their home, and it would be very hard for one unfamiliar with their land to not only find, but navigate their way in to the area, giving them a strategic advantage, despite not having the high-ground.

Gerudo Ravine: The main homeland of the Gerudo Pride
Ruins: The crumbling remains of a lost human civilization. It is rumored that this was once Ganon's home. In case of full-scale attack, those unable to fight are evacuated to the ruins via tunnels.
Temple: The Gerudo's main place of worship. It is on a rise, overlooking the city ruins. The pride will often go here for the importance Ceremonies, and Celebrations.
Wastelands: Dead, over-heated lands, constantly torn by savage sand storms. Very few know the trick of crossing such a land. They stretch far, and wide, even blocking off the Ruins and Temple from ground level.

Enemy Territory

- Sages & Royals: (Yellow area)
The sacred ground stands in a small island connected by a land bridge just through the middle of the crater’s lake. Only the royals are allowed to dwell on the small island. The sages and their guard live in their appointed territory which boarders the territory of the three main tribes. Here they oversee the three tribes and ensure peace between them. The middle ground opens up to the three tribes for festivals, ceremonies, and the great games.
- Earth Tribe: (Green area)
The earth tribe lives primarily on the planes. They share the water of the lake when their small water-holes dry up during the dry season. The lions sleep in the open, taking shelter only under trees when necessary. Their land boarders both the water and fire tribe’s lands allowing them to keep a good distance between the two rivals and further the effort to ensure peace.
- Water Tribe: (Blue Area)
The water tribe’s territory boarders the lake and the earth tribe. Their land backed up by the crater’s walls offers them caves similar to those of their ancestral lands. While they lack a jungle, they have the most tree cover.
- Fire Tribe: (Red Area)
The fire tribe boarders both the lake and the earth tribe. While their territory is far from the intensity of the desert, their territory is the driest and lacks any cover from the sun apart from the crater’s walls.

The Nobility
King
Tif
Ruler of the E-he'Anda, and the only male allowed permanent residence among the lioness of the pride without enslavement or subservience, the Tif has final say in all matters. He works 'behind the scenes' so to speak, ruling through the Lati.

Queen
Lati
Second in Command, and the 'public' ruler of the E-he'Anda, the Lati follows the will of the Tif, taking care of all matters and keeping him informed.

Council
Hes'Kiabat
Five females, chosen by the Lati for their intelligence, power, or sense. They are the Lati's eyes and ears, keeping tabs on both their own pride, and the nearby Utatu Pride.

Princess
Zayva
Potential heir to the Lati's throne. The Tif may choose any member of the pride he finds suitable to be of this rank. Females born of the Lati are also of this rank. It is considered the 'Nobles' of the pride.

The Army
General
Samkir
The most powerful in all the pride, excluding the Tif, this rank is filled through a tournament involving any of the soldier class willing to compete. They are in charge of overseeing all combat-oriented ranks.
A new tournament is held upon death, disbursement, or challenge.
RP Heavy Rank - 0/1

Commander
Tayfaba
Second in command to the Samkir, the Tayfaba performs any duties needed, as well as keeping tabs on the Cubs and Juveniles suited to joining the soldier class.
Tayfaba are chosen by the current Samkir, and may be removed from possition if a new Samkir takes rank.
RP Heavy Rank - 0/1

Raiders
Ka-dor'insa
As their name implies, the members of this rank travel into areas owned by other prides, particularly the Water Tribe of Utatu, taking anything they need, or just generally like the look of, from food, to trinkets.
Raid Events will be held at least once a month, typically lead by the Lati.
Semi-RP Heavy Rank - Currently Unlimited

Warrior
Hantia
This rank makes up the Guards, Scouts, Fighters, and generally any other combat-oriented job that could be needed around the pride. They may sometimes be asked to assist Raids, as well as assist hunting parties.

Huntress
Sern'an
The 'default' rank of the Pride, Sern'an make up the majority. They are in charge of ensuring the Pride has all the food they need, hunting along the outside of the Crater.

The Subservient: Male Ranks
Councilor
Espro
The Espro is the male, or males who are entrusted to over-seeing the general health and happiness of their gender within the pride. They rehabilitate outside males, and teach the young all they need to know about the kind of life they can expect in this world. They are some of the few males allowed audience with the Lati to go over any problems.

Fayínta
The Fayinta are males who watch over the cubs of the pride until they reach their adolescence. While the majority of their charges are males, they can often be asked to care for female cubs as well if the mother is too busy, or does not with to do so herself.

Aur'si
An Aur'si is chosen by the Opvias as an intellegant male capable of assisting the Dimay in their tasks, be it treating the sick or assisting in a birthing. They may sometimes be asked to go out into the battles, depending on the opponent and the number of Dimay.

Gatherer
Kavau
Default rank of an adult male, Kavau, as their name suggests, are given the task of hunting down things needed within the pride. New sources of water, bones, pelts, or feathers for crafting, and more importantly, herbs, roots, and materials for healing. Generally anything that could be put to use in the pride is collected by this group.

Dancer/Entertainer
Nava'iat
The Nava'iat is a group of entertainers, lead by one called the Hasa'iat. This leader is in charge of creating and running events within the Pride to help relax and amuse the warriors and nobility. The Nava'iat can be made up of anything, from Dancers and Fortune-tellers, to Clowns and singers.

The Dimay is one who completely refrains from battle, focusing all of their talents into the art of healing. They follow the lead of the Opvias, and are often present at breedings, helping the mother to safely deliver her cubs. The may sometimes be present at raids, battles, and hunts to bring any injured to safety. The Opvias is in charge of overseeing all Dimay and Aur'si, while also watching over the over-all health of the pride and evaluating new cubs for future placement.
Opvias is chosen by the Lati.

Only the Sage of Spirit is acknowledged by the Gerudo (See the Utatu thread for more details)

A Male or Female who has either intruded into the E-he'Anda territory or broken the laws, and was captured. They remain Slaves until such a time that they are executes, traded, or removed from the lands.

Between the beliefs of both the Tif, and Lati, four gods would find themselves welcome among the E-he'Anda. Gannon widely pushes the worship toward Roho'eusi, and Ubuge, while Kurage encourages worship toward Aharu'kai, and the Spirit Goddess.

Due to their different focus on values, the pride can become a bit split, between those who strongly support Gannon, and those who strongly support Kurage.

While, at the time, both leaders care little over this, it may eventually become an issue should they ever be in disagreement, and seeking the support of the Council.

Views on Males
Kurage believes males to be deceptive, and un-trustworthy by nature, and Gannon feels the same way towards any who may try to claim his power.

As a whole, the Gerudo see males as being inferior creatures when compared to females. While they are not treated as slaves entirely, they are treated in a way that females of the past had often been treated. They are given the lesser roles in life, and expected to listen to the female in charge of them.

While some may see this as a horrible injustice, the males are very rarely abused, and often quite well taken care of. Many would see it as a good life.

Views on Mating
While males may not be on top in the world of the Gerudo, that does not mean that the females are not welcome to seek happiness with them. Life-mates are perfectly acceptable within the pride, and may undergo a ceremony to be together publicly.

The female at any time may be unfaithful to this bond, the male, however, will be taken prisoner at the slightest sign of infidelity.

Bonds between opposing species are viewed neutrally.

Bonds between same-sex couples are frowned upon, however, ignored as long as the female or male continues to add to the population as needed without complaint.

Ceremonies, Celebrations, and Holidays

Carnival of Blood
Lead by : Ganon
There are a few choice natural events that seers within the pride are asked to keep a very close 'eye' on. And one is the phases of the moon. Every so often, on the night the moon bathes the sky in crimson light, the Carnival of Blood begins.

This is more a night of destruction, than a celebration. Donning war-paint, and moving openly as a full-force army, any capable in the pride, male and female, young and old, take to the night. They fill the air with screams, and bathe the land in blood, taking nothing. They come only to bring pain.

The entire purpose of the event is a blood-bath, to harm as many as possible, paying tribute to the God, Roho'eusi.

Joining Details

Joining is open to females of any age, coloring, personality, belief, and former-pride, and males who are capable of falling into a subservient role to females. Headstrong, outspoken males are still welcome, but note that they may have trouble adjusting.

Lions, Cheetah, Leopards and Hybrids are all accepted for now. It is, however, a Lion Pride.

I'd like to see her here for her personality is perfect to be the eyes and ears of the Tif.
Personality and Possible Back-History:

Belial was always a bright lioness full of love and compassion. Though once she became an juvenile her preseption on life changed. Her mother and siblings where brutally murdered in front of her before her father turned on her she escaped but not for long.

Each year he would find her and brutally hurt her to the brink of death. Finally when she was an adult her body littered with scars and fresh wounds a young male following in her father footstep took it in his hands to punish her.

He made even more fresh wounds and raped he trying to make her feel as though she had become her name worthless. But a mist this a large male lion came in and attacked them male.

He had been stalking Belial for some time and was picking the right moment to approach her and use her like the other male hap but he had been late. When the fire of rage rushed threw his veins he attacked and killed the other male winning over Belial instantly.

She was weak and to the brink of passing out but he spoke a few words to her. After hearing them her body seemed to be filled with a line of duty ad if she had a cause again. She followed him and has been his eyes and ears ever since.

Any Extra Notes: Character curse she's lightly infertile from all the beatings she received so there's a chance she will never have cubs.

When in one of her lucid moments, Nonya is a strategic genius. She can see all angles of a problem and immediately know how to use it to benefit herself. A vicious fighter, she will kill opponents even after their surrender.
Personality and Possible Back-History: She is totally and utterly mad. Nonya has split personalities. One is utterly innocent and naive, she is very cub like. In one of her 'light' spells, Nonya will follow anyone around trusting that they mean her no harm. During these spells she will need a keeper. She puts everything in her mouth and has a rather annoying nervous twitch in which first her ear ear flicks, then her left, then both together only to start over. These twitching fits last until the more dominate personality returns.

In her 'dark' spells, Nonya is a demon incarnate. She feels nothing for anyone, killing any who displease her, not caring it if is an adult or a cub. The only thing she respects is strength and a willingness to use that strength for personal gain. She enjoys heaping abuse on males more than anything else and if not watched carefully around cubs, will single out and assault male cubs.

Back history is still largely unknown, but when she arriaved in the E-he'Anda pridelands, the blood of her clan still stained her fur. Was it because she killed them or had there been a slaughter leaving her a lone survivor. It is yet to be discovered.
Any Extra Notes: She will feel a certain degree of loyalty to the king for taking her in and giving her a chance.

Mizu is my biggest lioness out of my horad. Its only fitting she be placed in a rank that seems suited for her but where she doesn't have any main responsibilities.

Current Location: Currently in the rouge lands
Personality and History: She snotty and rebel like. She hates the water and only goes near it when needed. Unlike her cousin Mina she had no interest in being in their old pride that was centered upon the water.

She hates male since once raped her cousin she's lost all interest in them and thus is seeking to find a home where she does not have to deal with them.
Any Extra Notes: I think she might be conflicted into thinking she likes female over males as a in a mate since.

Desired Rank: Si'tofia - Her rank in the Motoujamii-Simo was Storyteller, like her mother before her. She wouldn't see herself as anything else but.
Current Location: Rogue
Personality and History: A bitter lioness, Jua was the oldest daughter born to Ripuka and 'Makaa'kali', two Firekin. From a young age, she showed the signs of seer powers, often seeing her elusive father. As she grew, she came to understand that 'Makaa'kali' never was a Firekin, but a rogue-born Pridelander. Becoming ashamed, she did anything she could to keep from telling her mother the truth. She knew it would break the aging lioness' heart. When war broke out and the pride split, she told one lion and one lion only - Her brother, Azarax. Feeling a burden lift, she departed for the Traditionalist side, but not before sending Azarax to save their mother. Since the split, she settled down, having cubs with Sinbad. She only grew angrier, though, as the pride seemed to dwindle in pure blood. When Kenna told them either to integrate into the Safi or go rogue, she left, feeling betrayed by their queen.
Any Extra Notes: Jua's cubs with Sinbad are adols... And all back in the Firekin. She would also try to teach the E-he'Anda cubs stories from the Firekin. Also, her cert is severely out of date >>;;

Desired Rank: Entertainer/Dancer, because he's light and agile, and has rhythm! He's not the best dancer, so just 'entertainer' might be better. He can sing decently well, though his style might not please everyone. The only other thing he's got going is that he's fast, and could be a runner for messages, etc.
Current Location: Rogue land
Personality and History: He doesn't have much history (one completed random RP in the rogue lands) so we'll get right to personality...Kuku is your usual, average, everyday male, between jobs, likes chicks (and dudes!), wants to be somebody cool even though he isn't that great at too much of anything. He respects just about all kinds of folk, be they hybrid, purebred, lazy, or trim. He himself is a bit of a layabout, but luckily he seems to have enough social skills to get him a free pass to most kills made by other rogues. He's a little egotistical but it's nothing too out of hand. Oh, and if you were his girl/guy, he'd totally fight off your seven evil ex'es to keep your love.

Any Extra Notes: Kuku's bisexual. Right now he's heavy into males, but it wavers hard. Like one season he could almost be straight, for how little mind he pays males, but the next he'd rather not have anything to do with girls.

Personality and History: Damla is a cubnapped little thing. She never knew her true parents, and was raised as a Gerudo proper. She holds her pride's culture and beliefs rigidly... Although sometimes she thinks the King may not be correct, and she will mention it, BLUNTLY, she will not contest it if called for it, out of respect for the Lati. Otherwise she's good natured, if but a little morbid, with some interest in flame and the supernatural.
