On January 9th, 2009, the Gaian Community Discussion once again allowed fanthreads into their midst. A recent addition to the list of fanthreads was one that celebrated the robots of Aekea. I have been pondering about the idea of making a fanthread to discuss the Zurg ever since. Mainly because the GIB is having a lot of down time. There is still a lot about the Zurg that remains a mystery today and having a fanthread for them may be a step to show the Devs that there are users who would like them back.

*Put on glasses.* Come out, come out where ever you are Zurg Haters. *Pulls out neuralizer.*
I agree. I want the plot to become more exciting.

I'd go for this. I missed the Zurg the first time around, so it'd be cool to have them back. ninja

Let's do it, then. <3
Or we could bring back the 07 fan thread. I still have all the images from the old one.

I'm game. I could use a reason to hang around Gaia a bit more.

I, too, support this idea.
We have to let people ('specially developers) know we're still here! D<

*pushes the "AGREE" button* I'm in for it. The developers are coming out with many MANY more things, but they need to start wrapping up what they started; IE the mysterious 'Star Gate' that is on the World Map.

Well, they tied in the star gate with zOMG, by bringing in the Preda-pups. (Concerned Citizen explains it in a little more detail)

As much as I adore 07, [and I ADORE Glarg], I think we should keep in general. It's easier to discuss all things Zurg than just Glarg. I'll start a lay-out design for the thread then.

Sounds good to me. Just remember to post it with Smith, that way other crew can edit things if we need to.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I am somewhat hesitant about this.
There are a lot of good things about this idea. We did enjoy the zurg event, obviously. Our whole existence is wrapped up in it. And of course, we all love our friend 07. And I agree that letting the devs know that there are people who actually LIKED the zurg event is a great way to encourage them to include them in the plot again.
My main hang-up here is... can we really call ourselves fans of the Zurg in general? We tried to maintain a neutral status throughout the event, being neither pro- nor anti-zurg. It seems somewhat hypocritical to claim to be fans of them now. I feel like we'd be betraying our principles.

TIM, I understood this idea as more of a Zurg Event fanthread, rather than a fanthread for the Zurg themselves.
