As much as there are turn ons, I guess there are turn offs. Some threads in here said everything about turn ons and what excistes people, but there should also be a thread about not so exciting. This will NOT be physical-wise since there are other things that would complicate the sub-subject. This will be about certain caracteristics that individuals have then make you go "I should stab you so that you never reproduce ... EVER!" or "Errr...my number? ******** can say things that have already been said by other people, since that will just show what people in general really really hate. I am pretty sure bitchy attitude will pop so oten, than I wont add anything else on that turn off...*shudders that the thought of one friend, far away*
There are few things that I totally get turned off by; one big thing is "blabbers". Yes, these are the people that talk and talk and talk about nothing at all, for unending periods of times, or until someone knocks them out, or takes that heat of their attention away from you. Total turn off. I cannot think of one person that blabs and blabs and blabs that can be a turn on...not one. Just shut up.
Another one would be the attention whore. I am not saying that trying to grab some attention is bad, like wanting people to check out what you drew or what you are wearing or our feats that you did recently; but when it overgoes the clothing and goes into "guys guys, look at that, look at that, see tat? Did you see that? That was awesome! I rock! I me my myself Je Ich blah me me me" and that they bring what they did over they whole life that was great and repeats it all the time, poo for that. I dont despise them, but this is certainly not a turn on; therefore, turn off.
I would add more, but I will let you folks add things.

Hmm...turn offs, eh? WEell for me, that'd be when somebody with a nice body and sex voice...gives me the bitchiest attitude I've ever heard. Close-midedness, stupidity, and general airheaded-ness are also things that could tame the flames. Laughing at others misfortunes, and the like is also a good way to get me to say "Sorry, I'm waiting 'til marriage" xd

Koiyuki Laughing at others misfortunes, and the like is also a good way to get me to say "Sorry, I'm waiting 'til marriage" xd Well... s**t. I'm forever laughing at others' misfortunes, so long as it isn't dreadfully serious, because I know that the same folks I laugh at will do the same in return. ^^ 'Course, if it was serious, like losing a limb, or going into massive debt, then... yeah. On topic, though, I'd have to go with Skire's "attention whore" attitude. That's a great big 'no-no', and makes me feel like I need to stab the person for the greater good. Besides that, most probably ditsy people. I don't mind general forgetfulness or clumsiness, but when someone's constantly forgetting, say, to feed their dog or put petrol in their car... that I draw the line at. Makes me question, "What good is a parent who forgets to feed their kid?" oO'

I have to say my biggest turn off is guys who upon meeting me act to cool to extend a hand for a handshake or just plain ignorent. Not many people of our generation shake hands anymore, it's like forbidden but jesus when I stick out my hand, take it!!
Another turn off are people who're too touchy upon a first encounter. I DON'T LIKE TO BE TOUCHED!! Unless of course we've had a previous touchy thingy or I've approached you for a hug/pat/grab/fondle.
I also don't like loud obnoxious people who think they run the show all the time. It's just plain rude and embarrasing. Unless you have a genuinely good idea, shut up.
Hm, I have lots more, It's amazing I have friends. Though I've been told people like me because I'm so godawfully blunt.

I don't like people who switch off between being nice and being an a*****e, depending on whom they're around. It just really bothers me. I mean, I don't mind if they're a little less friendly with me around some people, but they don't have to be that extreme.

Nice, I got myself some replies! *does some victory dance, white-guy style*
Ok, enough embarassing myself, and more focus on the subject.
Like Tailos said, ditsy people are somewhat of a turn off. I mean, there is oblivious and then there is ditsy; two different things. Oblivious people are okay, since they clue in if you tell them. Ditsy people will stand there, a glazed moronic look tacked on their face, right after you tell them what happened.
Not only that, they will add a comment about it, that has nothing to do with the subject, and the comment itself, even in the "general global area" that the subject resides in, will be no where near it. Example: "I really like your hair" ... "My Car is like great like cool, like totally super awesome glitter *insert retard fashion statement*." See? No point...no basic relation to whatever you were talking about.
I guess stupid itself is a turn off.

Turn off: guys who are what my friends and I tend to call "Rice Kings"
Ok so some of you may think that's a bad name, but in general it just means guys who just go after Asian girls purely for the fact that they are Asian. Most of these guys have the notion that Asian girls are "exotic". Bad news people. If I talk to someone and they divulge the fact that oh yeah they like Asian girls...I will most likely end up educating them on WHY it's considered poor form and I will also probably not give them the time of day after that.
Now, some of you may ask, what's wrong with liking Asian women? Don't you have preferences as well when choosing a mate/hooking up? My answer to that is: I have no preconceived notion of who I like based on race. I have been attracted to guys of all different backgrounds, but then again that's just me.
More ranting....if anyone really wants me to get into it I can, but there is a history of Asian women, specifically, being exoticized in the media and in American culture in general. This can be seen in the archetypes of the "dragon lady", in layman's terms kind of like the feisty woman character like that girl in Crouching Tiger, or Lucy Liu. It goes from that extreme to the other which is the image of Asian women as being really submissive.
So yes...rice kings.... talk2hand

Personally, I'd rather have me some good 'ol asian pretty boy XD *cough*
My turn offs would include people who think they know it all. You would just be sitting there, talking to your friends, and you talk about something that no one can remember and then all of a sudden, someone goes "Oh yeah! this and that and did you know they had this?"
I think another would have to be..when people get too attached. They're always around you and they never leave you alone. It makes me want to just shake them and tell them to leave me the eff alone >.<

My number one turn off from anybody is bigotry. I really hate it when people are so closed-minded and uneducated about something that they hate and fear someone or something for insignificant AND irrational reasons. I also am turned-off by pompousness and self-centeredness.

hmmm...One of my pet peeves as far as dating goes is bad table manners...especially people who chew with their mouths open.

I agree with everything M0rgan said, and Random NaySayer's bad manners.
But the two things I absolutely cannot stand are the EXTREME touchy-feely people, and those who are too shy.
If I know you and like to be touched by you, then fine, go for it. Hug me, fondle me, tickle me, poke me, whatever. But if I barely know you, or you're tooo touchy, I will go crazy-eyed b***h on you. I like my personal bubble. It's pretty, and clean and safe.
And then there are those who are too shy. It's ok if you feel embarrassed about asking for directions in an unfamiliar place, but when a guy asks you to ask a girl to ask her friend if she likes him, that's is just too far. You can walk to the bathroom by yourself. You can order your dinner at a restauraunt by yourself. Heck you can even *gasp* talk to people by yourself. So why oh why must I always be your escort?

Seori If I know you and like to be touched by you, then fine, go for it. Hug me, fondle me, tickle me, poke me, whatever. What about...say...if I were to lick you? ...but there I go with my oral fixation again... stressed I agree with alot of what you said as well Seori. I mean, If I don't like you and think you're utterly disgusting, please, don't come near me. I also thought of another turnoff of mine. Staring. Look at me and my perfect butt as long as you like, but don't stare. Be courteous and blink once in a while? Staring is just plain creepy. Expecially if its a constant thing. When people stare, they seem less like boyfriend/girlfriend material, and more like a creepy stalker person who might sneak into your house and cut your hair in the middle of the night while you're sleeping and carry that lock of your hair with them wherever they go and show it to their friends and tell their friends that they cut the hair off while they were screwing you, which was completely not true, but the stupid friends believe them anyways... sweatdrop heh...spoken from experience? sweatdrop

MAJOR TURNOFF:If they are SOOOOOOOO obsessed with an object. For instance: Car, guitar, dog, ex-novio/a, chemistry set, n****e piercing, Carmen electra, surfboard, their mom's cooking, their mom in general...all that kind of stuff.
You've all met people like that. Annoying huh?! I have 2 people like that who I speak to every day. Both of which are interested in hooking up with me. Not gonna happen. but yes, if they are perfect in every other way, it can be forgiven for like 5 seconds. There is nothing I hate more. REPENT SINNERS REPENT! bEG FOR MERCY!!! I just watched O Brother Where art Thou. good stuff. and it made me thing that there are too many people obsessed in this world. heheh..
