If you had unlimited free time, never had to work or pay a single bill... what would you do?
I was never asked this in High School. I guess it's a good thing.
I'd write a couple books of various genres, work on a movie script, maybe direct, take some classes of game programming and game design (they are after all, different) and make an RPG I have had an idea about for the longest time (and keep it for myself). After that, I'd probably make my own Mystery Science Theater 3000 kind of show. Who knows? Maybe I'd learn to play the drums and move to Finland and be the next Jaska Raatikainen.
After all of that was done...I'd read. I'd spend for the rest of my days reading and smoking a pipe in a sweater vest in a rocking chair in my study.
But, that doesn't really tell me what to do with my life, now does it?

I'd spend countless hours painting, sketching, and writing. I'd finish those two graphic novels I'm planning on doing, including the one story that's been going on in my mind for my whole life, and has pretty much become my life's work (whenever I have any time to work on it). I'd do a whole series of paintings based off of my night terrors. I'd make lots of other paintings, too, I'd paint at least once a day. If I had the money for it, I'd buy all the stuff that you need to do artwork on the computer (like a tablet, Photoshop, or Illustator...), and I'd do graphic art as well.
Of course, the time I wouldn't spend doing that, I'd spend with my wonderful boyfriend heart

If I didn't have to work (including raising kids) I would write my book. I have no time to research and outline the book right now. I would also draw and teach myself computer programming, and as many web languages I can think of.
I already spend exclusive time with my hubby ever evening after the kids go to bed, so I don't have to throw that up there.
... and Blue, NO PIPE!!! *glare*

Strange...very strange...
So far if people never had to work, they say that they would do things like write a book or learn a language.
I'm not any different in the fact that if I'm not given work I create it for myself. It's just strange how mentally people need that sense of achievement.
Also props to Blue for knowing what MST3K is cool

If I never had to work, I'd do whatever I felt like doing. x3 Draw, spend enough hours on the computer that it would make my eyes bleed, help work on a comic series that a friend of mine is working on, bug my boyfriend... The possibilities are endless. I don't really know everything I would do, but I know that it would all be relevant to my interests. ^^
A better question would be: What wouldn't you do? xD

Eizoryu A better question would be: What wouldn't you do? xD That's a much easier question. I'd never work tedious jobs to make ends meet. I'd never take a job that made me humiliate myself just for the hope of an imaginary outcome. I'd never drive unless the urge came upon me. I'd never wear slacks again. I'd never trim my hair to look professional. AND I'D NEVER EVER speak to someone in a non-English speaking country again, unless it was someone I actually wanted to talk to.

If I never had to work again...
hmm.. dangerous thought. I'd probbably go around buying stuff and spreading the "lols" across the globe (assuming I'd never have to work again I'd probbably have a holy hell of a lot of money).
I'd probbably also buy a space where I can just blast music and draw and play music without the distractions and mood-killers that are oh so abundant in my house.
Maybe have a floating citadel built in my honor and name it "The Procrastinator" and plan to wreak havok on Siberia or somethin' but never get it done.
But yeah either that or an undersea base.. though, you know.. after playing Bioshock I kinda gotta scratch the undersea base idea talk2hand

Khleo_The_Fox It's just strange how mentally people need that sense of achievement Well, you know that this whole idea of "retirement" is an American concept. People aren't meant to be without purpose. In nearly any other country, a person's retirement consists of moving in with their kids and helping to raise their grandchildren while the children work and provide for the family. Trust me, if I had the money (not even to do "nothing" just enough money) I would buy a bigger house with space for my parents and hire my mother to help me with my kids. It's all she longs to do too!

Oh. Let's see. I would like to finish these...umm...let me count...6 stories I'm writing. Maybe try to do some movies. Do some traveling. Adopt some children and raise them. That's all I can really think of at the moment.

If I never had to work, it wouldn't be a big loss. I just started my new job like 2 or 3 weeks ago. And I hate it, but at least it pays. If I didn't have to work or go to classes, I would probably work on my fiction more. Maybe improve my programming knowledge more, play WoW more, and , of course, hang out around Gaia more.
