*Blood into my hands I can't deny *
Statistics
Name: Ilythara Chan'drasen
Age: 170
Gender: female
Stage: Illharess
Mate: Still looking
Personality: She tends to be very paranoid and doesn’t trust anyone at all. She doesn’t interact well with others being very brusque, up front, judgemental and prone to erradic behavior when others confront her. She sees intrigue and plotting in everything a person does; from the tone of their voice changing, to sudden movements and eye contact or lack of it.

Description: She stands 6 foot 5, her body has very defined muscles from training night and day with her axe, coal gray skin, amber eyes, long flowing dingy white hair. She always wears her armor, and horned helmet every time she goes out on a mission, or when she kills those she believes have threatened her or betrayed her.

Abilities: Ilythara may only be a warrior for hire, and a houseless drow; but she is a force to be reckoned with. Her ability with a war axe has become legendary to those who have seen her wield it. She can throw it up to forty feet away, and since the war axe in question is nearly 40-60 pounds itself that alone is an amazing feat. The speed and ferocity in which she attacks can be a stunning and amazing sight to see as well. Since she’s begun training during the night hours she has tripled her speed and agility. These skills are only at their best when she’s running on pure adrenaline. If she should fall asleep, she loses her edge and it can take days to recover it,

Likes: Pretty boys...the prettier the better.

Dislikes: power hungry females,

Fears: Sleeping, going insane like the other females of her house.

*A buzz into my ears that makes me mad*

But I don't look back
House Biography
Ilythara was the second daughter of the Matron Ilysseri of the very prominent House Chan'drasen. The matron went quite mad and began to demand her daughters to get involved in strange and unusual rituals, of which Ilythara was weary of. It didn't take long for the matron and the first daughter to fall out of favor with their goddess and for a hit to be called out on the House. the House fell within days, despite Ilythara's best efforts to fight off the waves of warriors sent to destroy it. When the House crumbled, she was struck in the head by a falling stone and buried under a mound of rocks. Those serving under her figured her for dead and after raiding the House they left to join other Houses.

When Ilythara came to, she was enraged to find her Home destroyed and immediately decided that she would do whatever it took to bring glory and honor back to her House. She's striven doggedly hunted down those that the Goddess used to strike down her House and had successfully destroyed all but the original person that is to blame. One of the ancestors of her House had defected to the Goddess Elistreae, which rather enraged the family, but no one had set out to find her. Now that Ilyth is being plagued by maddening dreams night after night she knows the only way to finish it is to hunt this defector down and destroy her. Now she just needs to find a guide to help her.

I'll carry on

Friends & Enemies
Seeing as she is so overly paranoid and mistrustful, there is not much likely hood that she will ever have friends or even close associates. Every person she encounters will in some way, or so she feels, threaten her and she will sabotage any sort of friendship that's begun.

Akorbaste: she respects...somewhat. She will remain allies with the priestess until they have no need of each other.

Paranoia
In which I think that I'm not confident
Blood into my hands I can't deny
A buzz into my ears that makes me mad

But I don't look back

While I'm waiting to die
I don't look back
In a weird lullaby

They are killing me

In which I think I'm not that confident
A tiny hope that burns into my breath
A bitter smile delights me at the end

The Oath
I, Ilythara, of the lost House of Chandrasen do so swear to hunt down and destroy all who were involved in the destruction of my House. With every breath, with every waking moment, with every action I do I will do my best to bring the House Chandrasen back into the Goddess Lloth's favor.
I will even journey to the ends of the Earth and back again to do so.
This I swear.
On my life, on my honor, on my soul, I will regain favor. I will bring pride and honor back to the name of Chandrasen.
This I swear, with all fealty and confidence to achieve my goal even unto death.
May the great Spider Queen of Chaos grant me favor in my quest.

A Moment in Time...
The darkness shrouded her as she sat perched on the edge of the stone windowsill. The city of the east dark had long stilled its activity for the day, all of the bustling crowds having long turned in for the night. That is, save for Ilytharia. Sleep was something she avoided at all costs…no matter how tired her body may have felt. It had been four cycles since she had last slept. Just thinking about it made her curse old memories surfaced causing her spine to go rigid and her body to tense up.

Some might say that her fear of sleep was a weakness that she needed to overcome. That sleep was a normal body function and that she would go insane like her elder sister and mother had years ago. They also had suffered from the fear as she now did. She had used the same arguments with them before…until the dreams had come and become a plague to her. She had tried everything to banish these dreams…only nothing worked, save avoiding sleep. Thus the fear of the dreams had transferred to fearing sleep…when her mind would be attacked and ravaged by the terrible images.

Ilythara rubbed the back of her neck as she stretched out her spine in an attempt to loosen the knotted muscles. It didn’t help. She sighed and then slipped back into the quarters she had been given by her employer.

She only feared sleep because of what it brought with it and doing so had given it power over her. It disgusted her to no end that she, a well seasoned warrior had let it gain a hold over her. And yet she had to admit that it had it had it’s upsides. Being up for days to a week in a row had made her a harder and tougher warrior than she had been before the fear had taken its hold over her. Having to depend on the inner reserves of her adrenaline had conditioned her and helped her career as a warrior for hire rise in demand. Not only that, but with the extra time to think and strategize plans she had become even sharper and quicker at opportune moments. She knew it would only last so long and then she’d crash, her body giving out on her; exactly the same thing that had happened to the other females of her long dead house.

She closed her eyes and silently sent a prayer to Lolth. Then she stepped into her armor, grabbing up her battle axe and attached it to her belt on her left side. Then she pulled her long loose hair up into a topknot. She took a moment to look herself over in the body length mirror on the stone wall, then raised an eyebrow as she surveyed herself and nodded in approval of what she saw.

She turned and crept out of her quarters in search of the room of the House’s Matron. Tonight, Matron Divitarae Dra’shizar was going to meet Lloth and Ilythara would finally have her revenge. All in a day’s work, she mused with satisfaction. Her employer would regret threatening her, though unfortunately, she mused sadly, the feeling would be a fleeting one. She shrugged at the unfortunate turn of events and continued on to complete her task. No one got away with belittling, cursing and threatening her, no one.

Wanted
Fit, able bodied warrior to act as a bodyguard for a Mage.
Must be willing to guard night and day, with little sleep.
Must be able to use multiple weapons and deal with magical attacks. Magical abilities are a plus.
Rate will be discussed.
Specifics will be discussed upon approval.

Let's just say, when I saw the ad, I was rather intrigued, and willing to go through the interview process. I didn't really have much idea to what might be expected or what might be going on that a mage would want a full time bodyguard watching over them. Still, a job was a job. And this one was pretty much up my ally, since I am nearly impervious to magical attacks...save attacks from priestesses.

When I finally located the address on the flyer, I wasn't surprised to find a long line of various warriors standing around awaiting their turn. I made my way to the end of the line to await my turn, as patiently as I could. Patience...is not really one of my traits. After what seemed like hours, the line finally started moving, and those departing would come out looking rather resigned to not having been hired. A few of them would stop by the line, talk quietly with one of their friends and then the two of them would depart together; most likely to another interview.

I rather hoped that I wouldn't be one of those that left to go off in search of another job. I suppose some people would call me stuck up and full of myself, and too sure of my abilities. I do tend to get that way sometimes, seeing as not many drow warriors are as tall or as efficient as I am.

It took another hour before I was finally able to step through the wide doors and be interviewed.
The interview that followed, I will have to say was not one of my best.

Job Procured
Despite my close call in almost screwing up the interview, apparently the female saw something in me that she liked. Most likely the fact that magical attacks don't work on me, and that I don't sleep like normal drow.
Whatever it was, I am relieved that I have gotten the job. It shall be a good opportunity for me to get back into the intrigues of high society and relearn some of what I've forgotten. If my Matron knew what I've had to resort to in the passing years since the fall of our House...she would be quite proud.

I have become everything she has hoped I would become, and more. I have become the ruthless killer, turncoat and focused individual she was always pressing me to become. If only I had had these skills before the fall of the House. All I can do now is search and wait until I find news of those responsible for the fall of the once great House of Chandrasen.

With this new job, I shall have more opportunities to build up my list of contacts. As well as the money I shall need to grease the palms of my spies. If only there was an easier way to entice them to do the work for me without money crossing hands. I shall have to watch and learn how it is done among the high society.

I have already reported to the House that my employer shall be staying in during her time in Guallidurth. I have been sitting around with naught to do save look imposing to those of the House. Thankfully most steer clear of me and don't bother me.

There has been one fellow, I hear he is against the alliance between my employer and the top male of the House. I shall have to keep a constant eye on him. It would not be a wise thing to underestimate him, despite him appearing to be not much more than a weasel. It's always the sneaky small ones that turn out to be the most trouble.

I have found the House that holds the wretch that aided in destroying my house. It's way too extensive and large to outright destroy like I would usually do. I will have to do some extensive inside work before I can discern who the drow was and how to get at them. So for the time being I shall have to forget it for now and focus my attentions on the task at hand.

I have made a contact with one of the priestesses of the House. Despite my initial thoughts of her she has turned out to be quite helpful and an inspiring counterpart to have. I shall have to try and keep in her good favor for when I return to take care of the individual who felled my House. I wonder though, if she will be as helpful as she is now. We are, after all, taking out one of her fellow priestess who aggravate her immensely. I should think though, that once this Qilna is taken out, Akorbaste might be more willing to rid her House of someone who has caused me such horror.
I suppose I shall just have to wait and see.

Having a priestess of Akorbaste's nature on one's side is a good contact for anyone to have. I shall have to try and make sure that this endeavor goes well and that we succeed in our sacrifice for the spider queen. I can't help but hope that I will have gotten rid of the dreams that plague me at night as well. If the sacrifice does not appease the queen then I shall have to go to the top side and take out the individual that has caused all this trouble for the House Chandrasen in the first place.

Goddess willing I shall not have to.

Damned slavers..who the hell do they think they are to try and accost me?
Fortunately they didn't succeed, I unleashed my mighty axe and slew a few and the rest scattered like rats out of a sinking ship. Damned incorrigable little vermin! I have half a mind to hunt the damned rapscallion slavers down and slay the whole lot of them!

It would definitely put me in a better mood. I've been at a loss after my last job, with nothing to do to keep my hands and mind occupied. Not to mention allow me to loose a bit of bloodrage on those miscreants. I think, yes, I shall

Finding the slavers was no problem, not in the least bit. They're a bit too egocentric and sure of themselves. Not to mention too boastful. I found one of the slavers in the marketplace and overheard him boasting of attacking a giant warrior with a great two headed axe..and yes..the damned fellow over exaggerated my size. He will be one of the first to meet his death by my "great axe".

Stupid fellow didn't even check to see if he was being followed back to the slavers' hangout. I followed him the whole way there..what an idiot. I will have to say that it is fortunate that over half of the team left the place, which will help when I attack.

I was rather surprised to see some of them returning with a rather highborn female and then leave. Seriously..they are stupid louts and they deserve the death that's coming to them.

Killing off the lookout on the roof was quite simple, and it didn't take me that long to kill off those inside either. It might have been a bit easier if one of their captives hadn't given me away to them. I dealt with him rather efficiently, and freed the other captives.

It was then that my luck changed for the better, there came a muffled squeak from inside the cage where they had kept the captives. I went back and found a female tied up hand and foot laying on her back, she definitely did fit the bill of being a highborn drow..with what she was wearing. So even though I was itching to go out and hunt down the other slavers, I took the time to free her and offer to escort her to her home.

It was even better when I learned she was a healer. Of course, things progressed a bit rougher after we were out of the warehouse. We had only gone about half of the way to her House when the slavers spotted us and gave chase. If the healer hadn't just gifted me some healing herbs to help with my dreams and I probably would have turned around and ran straight into them bowling them down like sticks.

One look at her trying to run and I realized there was no way she would make it. She was definitely not the type of drow meant for running or hardy exercise. So it made perfect sense for me to grab her up and carry her slung over my shoulder for the rest of the way. Once she was safely inside the gates of her House did I turn and barrel straight towards the slavers.

Gods..you should have seen their faces! Totally priceless! Now..I shall see to destroying every single one of those bastards. That shall be quite entertaining and lots of fun.
