I set up my aquarium and went to the marketplace and bought backgrounds, and decorations for it. It looks good, but it still says my tank health is like 6%. What am i doing wrong?

Well, it might depend on whether or not your fish like the temperature. I've got mine set to "hot." I switch out the background and the music every day. I feed them every day. The health is slowly -- VERY slowly -- going up. It may just take awhile. Mine is at 10.4% after a week of tinkering.

They sure are a bit more temperamental than my real goldfish.

On second thought, I just changed my temperature back to "moderate" and saw an immediate response in my tank. My fishies all had little hearts and the the stats jumped from 13.64% to 14.1%.

Okay, I have two gold fish and some arrow fish in my tank. I just changed the temp from moderate to chilly. Again there were hearts on the fishies. After changing from hot to moderate, the stats of the tank were going up quickly, almost a full percentage every day. I didn't see if the stats went up after the change from modearte to chilly but I shall be watching to see if they like chilly better.

Also try changing backgrounds, music and especially decorations around. I've only got a few decorations -- mostly gotten through daily chance -- but I'm moving them around in the tank. Poor little fishies get bored with a never-changing tank; they were meant for an ever-changing reef, after all!

I just feed them everyday and change the music everyday. Occasionally I change the lights to black before I go to bed. My Aquarium is at 18.22% right now.

Seijuro Shin 40 why can it only be bought using Gaia cash? Because sometimes Gaia SUCKS. They just decided to do it to make money. I decided NOT to pay them for things that are going to DIE... but I WILL upkeep it with whatever stuff daily chance gives me and such. So, for as long as things come free, I'll use it. If I am really having fun with it, then maybe I will buy it from the marketplace. But I will not pay REAL money for PRETEND things that don't even LAST! evil

Because sometimes the people at Gaia like to get paid so they can buy groceries and pay rent. I'm a little annoyed at having to pay real money for some of these things too but I understand Gaia has expenses.

Moderate temperature and a song that puts hearts by their faces makes it go up faster. Feeding multiple times a day is ok too. My tank's health is almost 40%. They've come close to what a normal tank would be like, and that's moderate temperature and regular lighting. Certain fish seem to like the dark as well, but they ALL like regular lighting. And feeding them multiple times a day is ok too because I think they might base it off of Gaia time. *shrug*

And I really have no beef with paying for some things on Gaia. Just things that DIE. I often buy the monthly thing, and even Gaia Cash shop things for fun. But not things that waste away. (THOUGH, I feel a little better now that I know they leave you a little present to "remember them by")
