So here I am, sitting thousands of miles away from the nearest ocean, getting blasted by hurricane Ike. In case you've not heard, last Sunday millions of homes and businesses lost power during a wind storm. My house was among them. We've multiple live wires down across the entrance to our neighborhood and a couple of power poles down as well. As far as I can tell, we're not real high on the list of priorities for fixes either. Which is... bad.
I'm taking shelter at my grandmother's house (which has had power on and off for the last several days) and don't know when power will return and I'll be able to move back in. Its not that the power is out, its that because the power is out and we don't have city water. Which means that until power is restored the house is unlivable without resorting to the wonderfully advanced chamberpot technology.
So... I may not be online much for the next few days. But hey, at least that tree landed 15 feet away. Didn't hit me or my car. xd
Hope to see you guys again soon,
Tso

Oh gawd. XD That sounds... fun? A RIGHT GOOD ADVENTURE.
The lights aren't being put out by a hurricane, but a zombie that wants your brains. Quick! Get the chainsaw! (Bonus points if you don't kill any relatives in the process)

Damn. Seems like everyone's feeling the effects of hurricanes lately.
Does no one else consider all this storm activity we've been having abnormal? gonk
What the hell are we doing to the environment?

Maybe it's not too horrifically abnormal, TIM. A hundred years ago they might not have been able to connect large storms in Ohio to hurricanes blowing in off the Atlantic. Or maybe they could. That's a question for NOAA.

All of the pretty storms flipped, twisted, and ran right around this part of florida that I'm in. Too bad, too. I love hurricanes. Even though there is no power, I love to watch the rain go by that much, it's so calming.

Ooh, we had a storm a few years back in Seattle, pretty bad. People had their power gone for weeks, flooding, trees felled (one nearly hit the bedroom of this kid I know), and the such. Storms aren't fun.
Just don't die or anything, and remember, jumping into a hurricane does not make you fly. D:

I think India has it, but I'm not entirely sure.
