I personally dont like going to the band room because how dirty it is!!! @_@ Imagine all that spit going into the carpet (cause where would all the spit from your instrument go,when ppl empty the valves,the CARPET xd ) and how much goes into the air it like your inhaling spit!!!! sweatdrop

Im going to high school and there is 6 years of spit in that carpet,and i have to go there everyday,and they said they havnt cleaned it since they got the carpet sweatdrop

Eh? It IS the band room. Then again, though, I haven't gotten sick from it yet. Ours gets cleaned about once a week though... so maybe it doesn't really have time to accumulate, despite the band room being thirteen years old.

30 years of spit...at least. But the floor is tile so unless you're walking in your socks through the brass section everything's good. xp

hah we dont have to worry about that as much bcuz we dont have carpet in our band hall....... and it doesnt get that bad actually xd

In my school's band hall, we probably have about 2 years of spit in our carpet. My school go new carpet around 2 years ago. The band empties their spit into the orchestra room as well, that has about 2 years of spit also.

I don't want to think about the spit on the carpet. I mean, it's so bad that there is an obvious difference in the carpet color between under the chairs and the rest of it. What makes it worse is that I sit right next to the French horns and trumpets and I see exactly how much spit they drain every day. Gross! Our band room was remodeled in the last ten years, though, so I guess it could be much worse. For instance: for one of our percussion ensembles one of the guys was using a whistle and accidently sucked in. I believe his words were somewhere along the lines of, "I've got mono from 1965!" Need I say more?

Ours has a characteristic smell. It doesn't smell bad, just... different. it smells like BAND.
this year is the 10th year we've had high school band, sooooo...
I've got a little phrase to keep in mind for ya.

OUR SCHHOL HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 1974...EWWW LOL. IT WAS THE FIRST SCHOOL IN OUR CITY. SO I KNOW THAT THERE IS ALOT OF GERMY SPIT ON IT! mad

I think our school has been around since 1969.
So that's a lot of spit.
I think they cleaned it last year when they had to disinfect everything because there was mold in the ceiling and a guard girl had an allergic reaction to it.
Out band room has a smell, but it isn't the spit. Most of the weed smell has faded by now, but our drum room still smells a bit like weed.

We had our shampooed every year, but the year before last they didn't shampoo it cuz we got tile! WOOT WOOT! (The band room looks like a bowl of oatmeal though) so we had a few years worth in out carpet. It sucked cuz after I had to close at work I brought a blanket to school and slept on the band room floor. It smelled funky, but I still slept, that's when my teacher threw a shoe at me, but thats another story.haha.

Ew...Lol,Kay the most years of spit in the band room carpet we have is 30 years eek ,but they got their shampoo'd,ours is only six years but we have never gotten it shampoo'd....And you slept in the band room O_O what made you so that?(no wonder it smelled funny heheh..^_^")
