omg i left my dog with my mom for one day. At 2:00 in the morning I got a call, shes screaming and is hysterical. I could not understand a word she was saying. I got my friend jess to drive me down there. There were police and a vet there. I asked my mom what happened and she said my dog was just shot in the eye by my neighbor and is now blind. So i went to court and the judge said theres not enough proof that he did it. We had it on tape and not just that, a week before he shot my best friends dog and killed it because it nipped at him for trespassing when there are signs that say "Bewhere Of Dog" and "No Trespassing." I think its wrong that the judge let him go. People like this need to be put a way!! this is my dog that was shot ihttp://  [/img]

scream SOME PEOPLE DESERVE TO BE DESTROYED, this is sick and cruel that somebody could do this to ANY poor innocent creature, much less somebodies beloved companion. Did you try talking to your other neighbours? maybe somebody saw but isn't saying anything. See what evidence you can gather or even talk to the attacker himself, some scum are stupid enough to gloat, at which point you can spread the truth around and destroy his name. It may not sound like a lot but an entire neighbourhood suddenly turning against him may just push him out of the area so at least he will suffer sime consequences for his actions. (in my opinion the neanderthal deserves to be blinded himself but people tend to frown on eye for an eye justice these days)

its so unfair if it was a person the judge would have given more attention to the case but no cause it was a dog ..well animals deserve even more attetion and be treated better cause they r completly innocent the dont know wrong and right and they just follow instinct and people take advantege of that and mistraet them and that person should be punished for doing that and taking advantege

Sounds to me like either your idiot of a nieghbor has some sort of "in" connection with the local law or that your local law simply doesn't take animal right seriously. Those kinds of people will eventually do something that gets them caught, though it unfortunately often is at another person's expense. Problems like that are patterns that unfortunately don't often get solved, and the legal system isn't as great as it's sometimes made out to be....
If you've done everything you can and can't get any correction to the person, at least focus on comforting your poor dog. Your dog is alive, so thank goodness for that.

That's terrible, I can't believe someone would do something so cruel.
Two of my friends, also on gaia, have a small little rabbitry. They show mini rex rabbits for 4-H. There was two young ones that were suppose to go to the fair but were poisoned by a neighbors kid and his friends all because they don't like the one who has them. Three young ones died and the fourth from the litter was very sick but he is still alive. It also caused a few of the does to miss carry.
