Palace Dome - Upper Reaches
The Upper Reaches were a sort of treasure trove of the city. Gold statuettes and ancient relics adorn every room, lavish silk drapery hangs on the walls, one thousand years of history are preserved at the highest point in Frostschild--on the lower levels of this section, at least. Once you hit the top three stories, golden relics are replaced by melted-down golden slabs, and what once were tapestries are now naught but ash. Regular windows in the outer hallway provide a bird's eye view of the city and the snowy expanses beyond.
In the uppermost chamber of the palace, there was a hole just large enough to fit a person, but it was sealed up when a big rock was launched through it. The rock still rests nearby. One of the entrances to this room has been blown open to become seven-feet-wide, and there is an equally-large hole in the next wall over.

+++The way up the steps flew by as the man would come to the top and he would literally burst out laughing as his eyes fell upon what lay before. Gold. Gold. Relics. Fine tapestries. Was this the best place for them to go? A small smirk formed upon his pierced lips as he continued to walk into the place. His eyes watching everything. He was most watching out for traps. He still felt weird, but this sense of...victory was something different. It still seemed dull to him.
+++"Well fug me. I think we found the gakking jack pot, mates!" As he said that he was opening doors and walking on. Maybe jewelry would be the easiest to get, and then the statues? He was running all the possibilities through his head.

As she reached the top of the stairs and walked over to where the Cyberpunk was standing, Gaby's eyes sparkled as she took in the mountains of gold. "Wow!" She exclaimed. But she made no move to collect the sparkling treasure. She would have to be patient.

opaj's eyes were saucers. Without taking his eyes from the glittering treasures before him, he scrambled to take the bag off his back. Rifling through it, he pulled out some sandwiches and a turnip and tossed them to the floor. "Don't need this anymore... and this..." He held up his gauze and contemplated for a moment. A dangerous move, but... with a shrug, he tossed it away, as well.
Maybe there would be a gold bandage somewhere in all this.

"Grand..." His right eye scanned over what lay before them all in just this hall, but judging by the reactions of his comrades, there was more to be had in just about all the rooms that were here. He didn't make a move to readily collect anything however, since he wasn't really here to actually take anything. I may have signed up as a Pirate, but I'm certainly no thief. He watched as the blond swordsman started emptying his pack out. Although, I won't exactly stop any of them from taking stuff either."Well, let's check everything out before we start grabbing randomly." He stepped to the side, checking out a side room, by ducking his head in. "There has to be someone around here... or at least...some trace...security...something..anything. He was reaching..hoping.

+++"There's absolutely nothing here, Vahn. I mean...it doesn't even seem as if anything has been gakking disturbed." He would say as he looked towards the woman. Had she always been there?!
+++Without even thinking he set his chainsword down on a, strategically placed, table with nothing on it. His chainsword causing the wood to groan slightly from the weight before he would begin to open random items in drawers and s**t. Jewelry. He'd look back towards the woman and would slowly smirk.
+++"You take the jewelry?" He'd mention to the girl. " 'Paj! You want to start off small or grab those gold statues first and head back to the ship with 'em before coming back for more? And Vahn! What the gak are you searching for?!"

Gaby took an empty bag out of the pocket of her dress, and contemplated whether or not it was big enough to hold all of the gold she would want to stuff inside of it. However, she simply could not dump the water out of her wooden barrell to put gold in it's place. The water was too important to her, and without it, she would not be able to keep the gold she would gather anyway, if someone decided to fight her for it on the way back to the ship. "oh well," she sighed. The bag would have to do. She finally proceeded to stuff the bag with gold.

opaj turned somewhat red-faced. So, it didn't take much to drag him down to that level, did it? Closing his eyes, he began to concentrate on the pulse of life around him. He sensed the flowing blood of his comrades, but as he extended his sense further, he found nothing. There were no other living beings in the Palace, unless they were crouched down in the exact opposite corner of the place.
"Nothing living, but you're right. Who knows what sort of security they put up here," he said, opening his eyes and allowing his mundane senses to once again take the fore.
[Edit]
"Heh." That's right, peer pressure reassured opaj that it was all good. "Y'know, let's get a statue first. That way I can just leave some of my stuff without throwing it away, right?" He grabbed his gauze and pocketed it, then stepped up to one of the statues.
"This one looks nice." Shifting his weight, he launched a powerful kick at the thing. It's foundation, held in place by four bolts, loosened somewhat, but didn't come free. "Ugh, maybe there's a better way to do that..."

He grinned, tapping his eye patch with a single gauntleted finger. "You'll have to forgive me if I just keep an eye on things for now. I'll let you guys handle whatever it is you want, and let you know if something comes up." I'm certainly not after gold... He turned away from Dzan for now, searching a bit farther along in the Upper Reaches, the ends of his fur-lined cloak flapping around a bit. "Where's the rest of the crew anyway? Shouldn't Marius be here helping? This is what he wanted right?" He looked towards the blond, watching him struggle with a statue.

Gaby looked over at Opaj, who had kicked the statue loose, but not completely free. She uncorked her barrell and let some of the water out. She closed her eyes, and with a few hand motions, made the water flow through the air and weave in and out of one of the four bolts that held the statue in place, making a sharp sound as it cut through the bolt.
EDIT: She opened her eyes, and the water dropped to the ground. "That was hard work," she said, as if she were short of breath. Holding the water in the air long enough to cut through a heavy material had been no easy task.

+++Dzan would look at the people before shaking his head. It seemed they were afraid of everything. Though, when they grabbed a statue he'd merely move back to the chainsword and fasten it onto his back like when he was first in the pirate bar. Then he'd move back to the now move-able statue and would help with the thing. Because...you know gold is heavy when it's a statue...
+++"Fine watch out for us. Now, let's figure out the quickest way to get this back to the ship..."

opaj nodded with approval and moved to help Dzan with the statue. "Nice work... looks like we muscley types will take it from here."
Taking one end of the statue, opaj gritted his teeth. Damn thing was heavy. "Shoulda brought a wheelbarrow..." Glancing to the side, he noticed... a window!
"Hey, what if we toss it out there? Then we don't have to carry it all the way downstairs."

"...Wouldn't..it break?" He raised an eyebrow as he stared back down the hall towards, the small group. He wasn't exactly clear on the full effects of the Field, but he was pretty sure the treasure was supposed to be retrieved in one piece. "In any case...we should hurry up." Why...he couldn't be sure, but he kept getting a nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was just too damn quiet.

+++"Sounds like a plan! We could dump everything out the window and once we're done run and inform the other mates?"
+++The Cyberpunk would say as he'd help the man carry the thing towards the window. Though, he was looking every which way. This was seemingly too easy to steal this. Especially when a lot of this s**t seemed to be solid gold. Yet, as he saw nothing happening a small smirk formed upon his pierced lips. He wasn't too worried about s**t yet.
+++"Well, if it breaks it's easier to melt down for later. Easier to get away with stolen gold when it's melted down into bars, but for once I am going to agree with Vahn...We should leave soon."

"Good idea." Yup, they were gonna be rich.
As opaj headed back to the treasure-lined wall, he snapped the blue-sheathed katana Utoh out of its sheath and drew it along the water. The liquid seemed to cling to the weapon, and once he had it gathered into a single puddle, he sheathed the sword again. "Save you some trouble, maybe?" he said to Gaby with a grin.
He and Dzan would start tossing everything that wasn't nailed down out the window. They would continue this until they came upon a bejeweled golden shield in a display case.
"Huh. This looks special." He bent over to read the inscription.
The Holy Shield of Aleksander
((Dzan is afk for a while, I'm NPCing him.))
