I. Bloody Jack Books News
As some have already learned...My Bonny Light Horseman, the 6th book in the Bloody Jack series has hit select stores in hardcover! I managed to pick up my copy from Clair de Loon, L. A. Meyer's art store in Bar Harbor, Maine this week when I was away up there and am proud to say that it is signed! And that I jabbered on like a drunken sailor as I got it.
There is a thread about the early release and a thread for discussion. Please, please be careful with SPOILERS! They only belong in the discussion thread. Feel free to make a spoiler-free thread! 3nodding
II. Guild News
You might have noticed that the guild looks a little different! That's because due to our very generous members, we raised enough gold to purchase a new subforum dedicated to the discussion of the books! There, you will find the pre-existing threads related to the books (your thread may have been re-located in the process). The main forum is now more of a guild business and announcement location now. Go check it out!
III. Guild Wars
We currently have a team working on getting the Bloody Jack Guild involved in a guild war with another guild! If you are interested in working on the war crew to get it up and running, please PM Jaimy by Wednesday with a time you have available to chat with us Real Time in Towns!
Hopefully, this will be up sometime soon, but we'll keep you updated. wink
IV. In the Guild
There are a bunch of new threads, go seek them out! One notably is a n e m o n a e's Look Alike Contest!
V. Birthdays
Happy birthday to:
Jacky Faber, whose birthday was in June, hotskatergrl, drangon_wings, and Pixelation Hallucination whose were in July, and Jessie_Andrews, questionable_context, Tinkerb377 (today!), and bibbedraccoon, whose are this month!

I. Bloody Jack Books News
LA Meyer has added to his updates blog and announced that the title of book 6, which is to be released on September 1st will be: My Bonny Light Horseman: Being an Account of the Further Adventures of Jacky Faber In Love and War, scanned a copy of the Cliff Nielsen jacket cover!
He also noted that the first draft of book seven "Rapture of the Deep" is finished and being edited.
Thanks so much to (~Bright-Night~) who let us know about the update!
II. New Subforum
There is a brand new subforum in the guild! Dovecote: Contests, Games, RPs! Go and be merry! (Please read the guidelines first, though 3nodding )
III. Contests
Right now there are three great propositions for new contests!
We won't be doing any of them until after the summer, so be sure to tell us which is your favourite!
IV. Suggestions
Anything you'd like to see? Ideas for how to do something better? Come post your thoughts in the Comment and Suggestion Log so that we can make them happen! The guild wouldn't be here if it weren't for the members and we want to do what you want to see.
V. Donations
Just a reminder that subforums in the guild cost 2500g each. Any money donated to the guild will go towards creating those and any donated to the Guild Mule, James Fletcher will go towards funding contests. To donate to the Mule fund, open a trade with Jaimy. The Guild Treasury thread is frequently updated to have the amount of gold in both accounts.
V. Birthdays
Happy birthday to Super Anita and Lisonjero Du jacque whose birthdays were the 16th and 17th of this month!
That's it for now! Hope everyone has or will survive finals and has a great beginning of the summer! I'll be spending most of it outside. wink

Hello everyone! This is the first of the Bloody Jack Guild newsletters. There will be one every month or so to keep you updated on both the happenings of the guild and any news about the Bloody Jack books.
There's been a lot going on in the past few weeks since the launching of the guild!
I. Bumping Contest
We are proud to announce the start of a Bloody Jack Banner Bumping Contest! It will go from today (Monday 14) till next Monday (the 28th). The goal is to put a guild banner in as many places as you can in a week. The winners will get a bunch of great prizes including avvie art by NeferiouslyNetoriouslyWolfy!

II. RP Thread
Love to RP? Like to RP? Heard of RP-ing? Why not try it out in our brand new RP thread, The Wild Rover!
It's hopefully one of the first of a set of RP threads where members can play as book characters or original ones. Visit the Pig & Whistle Art Forum where it's located and be one of the first to start it up!
Also, feel free to start your own RP, fanart, fanfic, etc thread there!
III. The Birthday Thread
Ron and Wolfy have been working hard on collecting everyone's birthdays in the Birthday Thread. When your birthday comes around, Wolfy Santa and Helper Elf Jaimy mule will send you a happy birthday gift! And who doesn't like gifts?
IV. The Bloody Jack Wikipedia Project
Mademoiselle Kit recently posted a thread with links to the somewhat sad Wiki descriptions of the Bloody Jack books. Anyone who feels like helping to make them better should visit her thread and check them out!
V. Friend Requests
Thank you so much to everyone who accepted Jaimy's friend request! It makes sending things a lot easier! For those who haven't please do or send him one. Thanks! 3nodding
VI. Gold
Thanks to donations from our wonderful members and crew, the guild has a pretty good amount of gold! We recently opened up the Guild Treasury thread, where Jaimy updates the amount of gold in both his account and the guild account.
Remember that the guild account gold goes to subforums and anything in Jaimy's goes to contest and other things.
