Anyone recall taking a class like that when you were in elementry or when they started going to english speaking schools?
ESL=English as second language.
For me I was stuck in those classes from first grade until 6th grade. Then in 8th grade, I had no idea why they made me take it again. I hated those classes.

I started english in the 1st grade and I watched a lot of tv so I was fine

well i took an english class and a chinese class at around the same time sweatdrop
but i say that chinese is my second language only cause i speak english a LOT more than chinese

I had esl for a year, in the third grade, then I was off.

i had ESL from grades 1-3 then that was that.
yah i hated it too!!

I had to take an EFL test this year a school even though I've lived in England for 10 years.

haha!! didn't need to go to esl... my mom taught me english... sort of... she bought me all those work books i had to do and the summer before kindergarten she made me do them all... and she got really angry when I fall asleep doing them. sweatdrop

Got passed esl in primary cos i was the top in the class...one of them! I did piss me of a lot.

I never had an ESL class because I started learning English when I was just 5!! biggrin Now my English is so good that its become my first language and sadly my Chinese has become my second language. xd

Chinese will always be my first language (not because I know it better.. just because I learnt it first). Started learning English when I was, like, 4 or 5 (same as Minielf!!)..
