basically, go back to your plane/boat thing and just wander about the world, mainly around the continent that Cosmo canon is on, you'll bump into a island with a big pyramid on it, that's the temple.

I'm afraid this belongs in the Beginners Hall. So I am gonna have to move it there.
However, I can answer your question. If you are looking for Cait Sith, then he is running around the Gold Saucer somewhere and you have to find him and chase him.
But if you are looking for the Temple of the Ancients, then you need to get in your little hover plane and go to Junon on the first continent. Once you hit the shore of where Junon is, head south in your plain and you will pass a range of mountains and will eventually see a piece of land (still connected to the continent, not an island) that is completely covered in forest with a pyramid like thing in the center. That is the Temple of the Ancients.
