About 5'2" with curly, dark brown hair and light blue eyes that sometimes look almost grey. He doesn't appear to put much thought into his appearence at work, when he's covered in dirt and waste from the stables, but dresses as well as he can when going into public.
Personality
Kalvin is 14 going on 40. Other children his age make him nervous and children younger than him turn him pale with fright. He tends to get along better with adults and is very responsible; in fact he is slowly becoming a workaholic. Although he makes himself filthy when caught up in the joys of work he always tidies up afterward, if he has the chance.
An unwitting lady’s man, Kalvin gets along better with women than he does men. His stoic personality makes him a hard worker and more likely to take direction without protest than rebel or slack off, fearing that an impious attitude would lose his job. Women love his patience and good listening skills. He also tends to be soft spoken. Although he’s not a fighter, he will defend himself and others if necessary.
Escapism is Kalvin’s ace in the hole for sanity. He adores gryphons and hopes to ride one one day, although he feels uncertain if he’ll ever race. He would like to read but his reading skills are poor due to his upbringing and he finds books more a chore than a blessing, so he spends most of his time in his head, constructing his own adventures. He is more talkative to gryphons than people and imagines they can understand everything he says and even thinks they talk back, just not with words. He can talk to gryphons for hours when no one is looking.
A private person at heart, there is always more to Kalvin than what people see.
History
Kalvin cannot remember a time when his mother was well. Her crippled leg and vulnerability to illness have forced Kalvin to care for her since he was five. With his father gone Kalvin began working at an early age, first helping his mother with her work as a seamstress and later moving on to better paying jobs as money grew short.
Although his mother finally passed away a few months ago it has not been a challenge for Kalvin to care for himself, but his emotions took a heavier toll. For a while he kept to himself, only saying one or two words to anyone. He is slowly getting back to his old self, which as it turns out is not much different.
Relationships
Lucas Fields & Leolin - Met when Laura, in her alis of Lucas worked in the racing stables on the outskirts of Xuan City. He does not know Laura's true identity.

Dirty Jobs for Kalvin Kalvin reunites with his old friends Lucas and his gryphon Leolin after nearly two years without seeing eachother, and Lucas learns that Kalvin's mother passed away. After agreeing to watch Leolin for the rest of the evening, Kalvin unexpectedly learns he's taking the gryphon hunting. Whoops!

About 5’ 11”, with a slight gut from eating too many sweets. He manages to hide his pudginess well by either sucking it in, wearing a corset or a loose fitting top, depending on the situation. He likes to think that only people he’s slept with know he’s been gaining weight and hopes even they haven’t taken notice. His features are very handsome; his large chin is covered mostly by a well combed goatee and he has a wispy mustache on his upper lip, and he has a slender nose.

Personality:
Walter is extremely passionate about history, academics, wild parties, watch-making, archeology, and hard candies. His fervor for new experiences means that his passions can switch at any moment, but history and watch-making are two hobbies he has always turned back to. Going to some of the most expensive schools around hasn’t done anything to his rock hard naivety. When hosting parties, dating women, or in nearly any social situation, Walter loves to spoil his friends. Walter spoils himself too, occasionally leading to financial problems.
