Clan Name: Taida Village: Iwagakure Description of Limit: Using chakra, the user of the Yurasuhensen can change the density of rock and stone. The density can be anywhere from the texture of quicksand to completely solid. History: The bloodline limit is unique to the Taida clan. It was what saved them in the second civil war. Since then, people with the bloodline are chosen as kage through a free-for-all, anything-goes clash. In game Stats: ((I don't think there would be any....)) Jutsu List:
Hanekae no jutsu Description of Jutsu: The highest form of the bloodline. This turns the stone to quicksand, sticking an opponent for a few moments and catching them in the stone. Tadaikae no jutsu Description of Jutsu: This hardens stone slightly. This jutsu is typically used when an opponent has been thrown in the air and is about to land or when the user has grappled the opponent and is about to throw them into the ground. Ranpukae no jutsu Description of Jutsu: This is specific to changing stone to be spongy and springy. It is the second highest level of jutsu. The user can use the jutsu to make it harder to walk, or to dodge attacks easier. (If it's softer, like sand, would that work? It wouldn't be quicksand, so it'd still hold up, but the clan can have an ability to be able to learn to run on sand through the badlands. It would slow other people down.) Koutetsukae no jutsu This is the hardest level to achieve through chakra molding. This turns the rock into a density resembling steel, causing little traction and much damage if landing wrong on it. The rock underneath the person's feet shifts suddenly as the minerals are enhanced through the molding chakra causing them to fall. The user of this technique is rather smart and calculates a perfect fall in order to make the opponent fall at just the right angle where a broken bone or concussion would result in falling. They are well educated in the way of Physics. Hair: Most of the time it's kept up in a childish pair of pigtails. It's a sandy brown color, with a handful of strands on one side cut short enough so that they can't be hooked back, but long enough to brush behind her ear...if it would stay.
Eyes: They are doe brown, most often sparkeling with mischief or mirth.
Physical Description: Petite and althletic. She doesn't have much physical mass, but appearances are pretty decieving in her case.
Clothing: Her shirt is a short, black, cropped-at-the-bust skin-tight tank top. Underneath that, she wears a net shirt that has sleeves that bloom out. Her pants are black cargo-style capris with large side pockets. She has a pouch at her hip that is hooked to a white belt. Her sandals are black.
Background: Kinami had a pretty quiet childhood. She was never very prompt to anything, but she did get to the academy when it was required of her and passed her first year there.
When Kinami became a genin, she met her first friend on her team. She had been a fairly shy child, and when she met Takao, she was thrown a bit off-balance. He kept pestering her to open up, and when she finally smiled, he said that her smile could light up an entire country. He ordered her to smile more, and it was then his mission to make that possible. They soon became the best of friends, always laughing and looking for fun with their perverted friend and teammate Yuri.
On a mission to a rural village on the border between Sunagakure and Iwagakure, back when the old Kazekage ruled, they were ambushed. Yuri was killed offright, and their jounin leader was knocked unconcious. It took Kinami only a moment to realize, when she was held back and not Takao, that he had betrayed them.
Kinami didn't recall what happened after- she didn't know if it was her nearly non-existant temper flaring, or if she was in a desperate daze, but one moment she was being held captive, and the next, her kunai was blooming from Takao's chest. She didn't have much time to think about it, because in the next few moments she was fighting for her life. She was nearly killed a few times, but when her teacher showed signs of waking up...they fled.
In the clearing, as Takao was dying, he was back to his old self. He didn't explain why he betrayed them- instead, he smiled at her like he always had and said, "Keep smiling. You look prettier." Then he died.
The second team had one person whom Kinami immediately fell for. He was much older, exactly what she liked, and had a slight power complex. When he found out she was the daughter of the current kage, he immediately began getting into her good graces.
It took Kinami little over a month to realize what an utter a** he was. However, when she confronted him over toying with her, it was in the Meikyuu caves, on a mission. Instead of storming off, he attempted to overpower her and rape her. As a defense, Kinami struck out and killed her second person. Nobody but blamed her but herself- and that was when she created her smiling masks.
Her third and final genin team consisted of Yamato and Taichi. The three immediately hit it off, and after a little persuasion, Kinami began to open up to them. She began to laugh and smile more freely, discarding her fake faces and having more fun with life. They trained together and helped build up each others' strength, and when the time came, they all passed the chunin exams as the best of friends.
When she passed the chunin exams, she was assigned as a bodyguard to take her father on rounds through the rest of Stone country. There had been rumors of brigands and rebels still harboring century-old grudges. In the middle of the rounds, the group was ambushed by rebellious missing nin.
Kinami's father, the kind and caring soul who never harmed anyone unless as a last resort, was immediately killed, as were the other jounin and chunin sent as an escort. They kept Kinami alive, however, to interrogate her on her home and the ways the village worked. They were planning a seige that needed her information, and it was the only reason she was kept alive.
That didn't stop them from using torture, however. She was kept in a small, dark place. Every night they asked the same questions, and every night she barely kept her secrets safe. They didn't touch her face, nor did they do anything around her stomach or arms. They went for the most sensitive parts on her body. It took two weeks for her to be rescued, and after that, she tried to kill herself.
She was put in the hospital on suicide watch (hence the reason for all the fussing). The hospital put her through seven therapists before she learned how to deal with them; a short while later, she was released for her father's funeral. Shortly thereafter, the family melee was held.
At first, she didn't participate. She stood on the sidelines with her brother, watching her mother fight with her other relatives. It was only when someone brought out an illegal weapon and tried to use it on her mother, that Kinami made any move in the battle. She struggled with the perpitraitor, fighting off anyone who got in her mother's path. Her mother scurried to the sidelines, and by the time Kinami realized what had happened, she had the person subdued and everyone else had given up. No amount of begging would get anyone to take the job away from her- they decided that she needed something to keep her mind occupied, so they refused her pleas and ignored her tantrums.
Two years later, her mother died of a heart attack. At this point, Mat and Tai had retired as lovers and opened a restaurant. Her family had moved off into different sections of the village (or beyond). Kinami was left to her own devices, but even if she hadn't chosen the job, she cared more about her people than anything and refused to abandon then. Over the next three years, she grew to learn how to switch between real life and a masked reality, until it was a flawless feat to all but the most perceptive of ninja.

As we age, as humans our perception of time begins to change. Those childhood summers that had seemed so long, filled with such boredom and questions of what came next soon begin to fast-forward, blurring into one gigantic entity. Years pass in the blink of an eye- the children that yesterday were such tiny infants become tomorrow’s parents themselves. Time becomes different, a new element, an entity of its own.
It takes on the world, running on the age-old schedule it’s been on since the dawn of time. Time lives, dies, is saved before wasting away. People never appreciate the value of time- its ups, downs, the good times and the bad.
But mostly, people don’t take time to live in the moment, to appreciate the simple pleasures. A walk through town; sitting, staring at the rivers; making shadow puppets on the wall late at night when insomnia strikes and you are unable to deter it, no matter what you try. Things that make others look at you oddly, wondering why you’re wasting time.
But you aren’t. You’re taking time, flowing with it, becoming one with the element that effects and controls all. You’re taking a moment to remember, regret, live, die, laugh, cry, throw a fit of anger, scream out in utmost terror, fly high with the birds in the sky, hunt with the wolves three countries over, swim in an ocean of possibilities and has-beens and “What if?”’s and hindsight and opportunities you should’ve taken but passed up for that better job, that prettier girl, that other choice that made your life into a living hell.
Kinami had long since known this. Ever kage does, from the newest to the ones that have been buried deep underground for centuries. They all know that time will take everyone from them. Parents will bury their children- orphans will wander in poverty and hunger. And still time turns, spinning, callous and heartless to the thousands of cries that go up around the world each second.
Two years. It seemed like a lifetime, with time playing his fickle flute of reality and causing the world to slow down for a much-needed rest.
Her birthday was where it began, really. What was all the hype about? So she was a year older- it was a year closer to death, one more step towards seeing loved ones lost and becoming a lost loved one herself. It wasn’t something that should be celebrated. They didn’t do that with others. What made her so special?
She honestly didn’t know.
That day, she bared a part of her heart to someone she thought she could count on. It was a mistake, looking back in hindsight. (How Kinami hated that act. The only thing hindsight was good for was looking back and seeing how much of an idiot you were, and not being able to stop yourself from being an idiot in the future.) She thought she would be able to finally have someone understand, an outsider, one who would perhaps help her to finally heal. She was so tired of hurting.
Things never worked out the way she hoped. One minute, she was actually making progress- the next it all went up in flames. She didn’t understand. She couldn’t understand. Who but Kinami could understand holding the weight of the world on her shoulders? Who could understand what she lived with every day, the sorrow and pain, the agony of knowing she would be the last if only for conveniences sake?
Still, storming off perhaps wasn’t the best idea. It led to a rift, one in which she couldn’t repair on her own. She was, once more, damaged goods- not fit for anyone…most especially not fit for a village.
She disappeared for days after that. She knew people would worry, would look. This time she jumped the gun and disappeared as far away as her lands would take her.
It was thoughtless, not to bring supplies. In a fit of anger, she was ill prepared for the wilderness. That first cold night, a night in the desert, she spent walking for as far as her feet would take her. Rudimentary knowledge helped here- with the nights so cold, she could keep warm just by walking. During the day, when the sun rose, she found the most sheltered spot she could, dispersed the dangerous creatures from within (more than once she nearly shared her home with a deadly rattler snake or, worse, a tiny scorpion that escaped her notice). This allowed her solitude, a time to be alone, to repair the walls that were torn down so long ago by a fool boy and his foolish request.
She fended off larger, deadlier creatures with a few weapons she had on her person. Kinami avoided confrontation even more. If she discovered the tracks of a creature in the direction she headed, she turned away. If she saw one approaching in the distance, she turned once more and continued on. Only three times did she encounter anything of consequence.
The first time was on a hunt for nourishment. Spotting a sweet cactus (at least, they were sweet for Kinami- Mat and Tai thought they were incredibly sour. She didn’t understand their weird palates, but the more for her as it were), she approached and began to gather the flora that, when chewed on, provided both water (which she was seriously beginning to lack) and crucial vitamins for the body.
At that moment, she was attacked by a hive of rattlers- there was no other way to describe them. They all seemed to be gathered in one spot. The poor cactus had been hollowed out to make room for the serpents. Kinami immediately decided to decline ingesting the flowers, instead throwing them behind her as the snakes attacked.
They were only defending their home. That was an honest cause. Kinami backed away quickly, fending off the attacking wave with a kunai and her own two legs. Many times she was nearly bitten. She lost a lot of fabric to the cause as they tore at her pants. She was incredibly relieved when they did not deign to follow her past a certain point- with only two losses on their side it was a war well fought on their part.
Kinami was left to wander once more, seeking out an alternate food source. She had suddenly lost all appetite for sweet-cactus flora.
The last two times were both by giant scorpions. Both times were near copies of one another- Kinami fought, nearly lost her head a few times (quite literally, too. The stingers on those tails were harder than steel and could cut her clean in half if she wasn’t careful, poison aside.) and finally maneuvered a way into killing them before they got her. Basic survival instinct- one of the scorpions just happened to be a better aim than the other, managing to knock her into a solid granite rock ledge with one of its massive claws.
It was a good thing indeed that the badlands weren’t populated. If Kinami had had to face people, she would not have had the strength to rebuild her fortress. A very fortunate thing.
She returned less than a week later (less only in the sense that it was sunrise instead of sunset, seven days after her departure).
The village, as usual, was in an uproar. With Kinami’s reputation, they had begun to fear the worst. Suicide was tops on their list, and Kinami grudgingly admitted to herself the night of her return (once more under suicide watch at the hospital- really, just because her whole backside happened to be covered in a collage of bruises and minor scratches didn’t mean she was trying to off herself. At the time.) that they had good reason to believe that. She was almost positive that becoming rogue or retiring were next on her list, but nobody confirmed those thoughts.
Apparently, she was trusted only so far as her leadership skills were necessary. After that, they wouldn’t trust her farther than they could throw her (which, being shinobi the lot of them, was a considerable distance).
One light of pleasure in her days following her Badland escapade was seeing the entire village nearly go into cardiac arrest simultaneously. They seemed to believe that her sitting down and working without prompt was a sign of the end. Really, you’d think it’d be flaming horses and the sky raining fire and all hell breaking loose (what was the obsession with fire was something Kinami had yet to figure out) would be the ideal situation. But no, her catching up on her paperwork was a wrong omen indeed for the people of Iwagakure. Heaven help them if she started to take her job seriously for once.
Five months after her birthday was her first run-in with the traitor. Having avoided her for so long, Kinami actually believed she was doing well. She had really, honestly believed that. But fate, alas, liked her as a plaything. They practically ran one another over, Kinami rushing to a meeting, Ryoko heading who knew where. After getting over the initial shock of seeing the woman who lived to prod festering soul wounds, Kinami stood and used her own knowledge of the Kage underground to get away as quickly as humanely possible.
She handled that quite well, she tried to convince herself later.
Shortly thereafter, disaster hit. The sky rained fire, the world burned with righteous fury and…well, one generally gets the idea of a catastrophe of epic proportions.
On that day, a weekly routine check-up for her physical and mental health (really, you would believe after four months of good behavior and work, they’d give her a clean bill of health. Why did everyone have to believe she was up to something?) she set herself loose on the hospital.
Although it was rather amusing to see the nurses run and try to alert the authorities (ignoring that she was, technically, the absolute authority in the village) about Kinami’s “vicious and oh, so horrifying rampage through the hospital”, it hurt to see people lose such faith in her. She admitted that, in the past, she hadn’t been the best kage. But didn’t she deserve a second chance? Wasn’t she cleaning up, taking a look at things, getting her priorities straight? Wasn’t she acting like a kage was obligated to act, fulfilling her duties and not giving a moment of complaint (to anyone other than herself)?
Kinami was passing through one of the regular wards. The clinic was fairly silent, when one cut out all of the to-do that was always present in an emergency room. She was walking by door that had been propped open by the barest of inches- she didn’t think the occupants of the room realized that the door was still open. Kinami spotted a familiar head of hair, that of her old student Keiko, and decided to pop in and say hello.
The doctor’s words froze her in her tracks, then sent her peeling out of the hospital like a bat out of hell.
When she was safely ensconced in her room, Kinami let herself come to terms with what she had heard. Keiko was pregnant. Giglamesh was the father. Students, whom she could remember pummeling into the rocks, were starting families. Moving on. Having a life of their own.
When did she become so old? When did time jump by, passing in leaps and bounds to bring her to the world she was in? When?
Kinami spent the night alone in her apartment. Alcohol she hadn’t touched in years was brought out from the depths of her (massive) closet. None of the prissy sake that so many liked to drink- this was the hard liquor, the stuff that could peel a nail, things that no self-respecting person would touch if they wished to taste the fermented wines that enticed so many.
No, this was the stuff that one drank only when one wished to become as solidly smashed as possible in the least amount of time. The last time it had been touched was when Kinami’s mother, in a fit of rarely seen maternity, brought it out after her return from… Her mind studiously blocked any mention of that day.
One glass down the hatch left Kinami in a fuzzy feeling of numbness. Being numb was good. Not feeling meant her job became a lot easier. If she couldn’t feel, she couldn’t hurt. Hurting was bad for her, for it lead her to do things that she would never, ever consider doing. Ever.
Two glasses had her seeing stars. She must’ve tipped back too far and hit her head- it was the only somewhat rational thought her bogged brain could comprehend at the time. Things were beginning to blur together- she could no longer see the separation of her closet and her bathroom.
Three glasses brought around the depressive state. The world darkened considerably. Demons began to pick at her mind, reminding her of the kunai she had tucked between her mattress and the bed frame. Things began to creep up along her skin, picking at the tiny hairs on her body until she got goose bumps. Eyes watched her from the shadows, waiting for the moment when they could descend on her and rend her limb from limb.
The fourth drink was dutifully toasted to the new baby.
The fifth and sixth drinks left Kinami feeling giddy. She didn’t know why she was so upset. After all, that’s what bunnies were for. Bunnies made you happy. They had such cute cotton-y tails as they hip-hopped their ways through a merriment and fanciful life. They were like flowers, always greeting the day in their beautiful dresses. It reminded Kinami of the ones she had in her closet. They were so pretty- there was a gift in there, a kimono she had never worn, given to her by a small child that was wiser than he looked. It was such a pretty kimono, too, and the bunnies were sure to love it.
…She had a point, didn’t she? Somewhere in there, anyway.
The seventh and final drink had her blissfully unaware of anything. Just her. And the bottle. She could not forget the bottle. She was rather disappointed when there was no more drink left, but one toss created a pretty shattering sound. The lights danced off of the shards as they fell to the floor- or was it she that was falling? Either way, the lights were pretty. They made her so sleepy, and she was so comfortable on the floor.
She curled up and promptly passed out.
Three times that night she awoke, her stomach purging her of the poisons she had taken hours beforehand. Each time, Kinami felt as if she would finally get to greet her insides. She was left dry-heaving by the second time around (there was little in her stomach to begin with). After that stint, she didn’t bother to drag herself out to her bedroom. Instead, she sprawled spread eagle onto the tiled flooring. It wasn’t like there was no room, after all.
That morning she regretted her decision. In fact, she was terrified of it- she didn’t remember anything from the day before. What had she done? Why had she reached for that evil concoction that should’ve been dumped down the drain a good fifty years before it was created?
It took her mind a minute to arrange itself upright. When that happened, she recalled everything from the hospital and before. As soon as she stepped off the grounds, however, time seemed to have erased things. It was an odd feeling she wasn’t used to, but as she had most obviously gotten herself sodding drunk the night before, she ignored it and settled on the after-morning hangover epiphany she had just had.
She needed help. A lot of it.
Sitting down, she decided to skip the day and take a break from her work. Six months was a record for her- she deserved a tiny break. Didn’t they say that breaking rules was good for the soul? Or was that chicken soup? It could’ve just been the thunder sending off in her head, but she doubted it.
Kinami forced herself to brush on the topics of her past. She didn’t remain long on the subjects that triggered the throbbing ache in her chest- but she touched on them. By the time night fell, she had determined three things.
The first was that she was a royal mess. Counting the most recent (if ten months could be called recent) attempt, she had tried dying a total of eighteen times. One could be proud of that record, if it hadn’t lead to such troubles. It had obviously failed each and every time. That didn’t make things better- nor did the entire bouts of depression, or the minor hallucinations she sometimes experienced, or the flashbacks, or the guilt, the masks, the walls, the…well, to say the least, she could probably talk a shrink’s ear off and have him go insane just from listening.
The second was that she couldn’t go to anyone else about things. The betrayals in her life had proven to her that people couldn’t be trusted with her past. They just didn’t have the levels of comprehension that it took to deal with her life. It wouldn’t be fair to try and burden them with everything.
The third, and most shocking of all, was that she really and truly wished she could change. She had built up a habit of hiding, protection, and denial. She wanted to come clean, if only to herself, so that she could perhaps earn back the trust of the people she had grown to care for. She wished the entire village would look at her like they did to her father. If only for a moment they would do that, it would make her pain and torture seem miniscule in comparison.
Kinami toyed with ideas on what to do about it. Obviously she had to somehow help herself- people weren’t able to help her. Hadn’t she always believed she was strong enough to take on the world at large? What was one step from belief to reality?
It was on a whim that she began to scratch her thoughts out on paper. She didn’t even realize it had happened until she was turning the page, readying herself to etch her marks into the back. A second epiphany, and she began to slowly (and tediously, with as much detail as she could remember) write out her life’s story.
It was so difficult. Many, many times she almost made herself stop and put the pen down, walk over to the bathroom, and burn whatever scraps she had written on. Perhaps the only thing that saved her, apart from her stubborn nature, was that she had begun writing it as if she were a different person. It was easier to no longer be in the limelight- this time, she was on the outside peering in.
Of course, she could never begin to even dream of writing her entire life down in one sitting. Instead, she buried the pages deep into the floor of her room, underneath a pair of loose floorboards in her closet. She would take them out, once a week, and add to her collection. She’d probably need a few places to hide them all, but a week would give her time to heal, acknowledge her pain, and hopefully begin to move on.
She was, actually, doing fairly well for someone who was used to running away. Considering her life, it was a giant leap of progress for her.
Of course, Murphy’s Law had long ago decided that she would never get a chance to heal on her own.
She didn’t know exactly when reports began to be brought in. Ninja began to disappear, people were turning on their neighbors….chaos was quick to approach. Stress and jumpiness began to be the common feeling that ensnared most warriors. Even the populace began to pick up on the tension.
Kinami felt better than she had in weeks. She felt as if she were getting better, but didn’t count on it for chance of repeating the past. She began to feel the weight of the death toll, it began to stress against her mind, and she took to pulling into herself even more. If the people had thought beforehand that she had been acting odd, they believed her possessed soon after. Because, of course, Kinami would never, in a million years, work when there was a place in the field available for her.
Perhaps the only people she felt comfortable around were Mat and Tai. They hadn’t budged from their position at her back, silently supporting her. They seemed to sense the subtle changes that Kinami was putting herself through. The only thing that marred this, was that they were a connection to the woman. They had somehow become friends when she had (unknowingly- it had been assigned during a cloudy time of her mind) put them in a cell team together.
Still, it was nice to have someone to talk to, even if it was nothing that needed saying. She was getting incredibly lonely, realizing how little friends she had and how empty her life had been until that point.
Still, the disappearances were getting to her. Something was amiss, and it irked her to not know what it was. She was able to try and talk out her thoughts with Mat and Tai, but Yama didn’t understand and Tai was just too hot-headed to deal with it rationally. It got to a point where Kinami decided that she might as well address the public about it.
It was yet another thing that didn’t go according to plan in the least.
She got up, spoke her bit, and left. It wasn’t anything she did- but she got the feeling once again that people had only shown themselves because it would be rude to do otherwise. As if they were doing her a courtesy favor only because she was the kage. And, even then, she didn’t believe that they thought her the leader in anything but name, anymore.
She knew that Giglamesh had given a few talks in other areas of the village. She knew, deep down, that they were listening to him. They wouldn’t follow her in battle- not when they knew her to be unbalanced and unpredictable. Those sorts of leaders couldn’t be depended on in a crisis. No, the villagers wouldn’t rally to her if and when war broke out again (for she could no longer delude herself to the idea that there would be no war again in her lifetime).
No, her people would rush to the cry of a younger, stronger mind that knew what he was doing.
She couldn’t fault them for that. Honestly, she didn’t deserve their loyalty. Besides, that had been what she always wanted, right? She hadn’t wanted to be kage. It had been pressured onto her by her mother and her other relatives, who had immediately rushed out of town after she had taken her post. She had never wished for the overwhelming responsibility of running a country, no matter what her bloodline and some battle dictated.
She didn’t understand why it hurt so much, now that her wish seemed to be coming true.
At one point, sometime in the fall of that long year, Roy approached her while she was dining with Tai and Mat. For once, she had decided to get together with her friends and attempt to forget all her duties, sorrows, and her past. In layman’s terms, that would be referred to as escapism.
Knowing her luck, Kinami should’ve known that something was bound to happen to bring her mood down. In this particular case, it was the entrance of Roy walking into the café. Kinami looked up curiously, wondering what was going on. She watched him stride straight up to her and declare that he was taking a break from her services (in all honesty, she had forgotten about him being her b***h-boy), and said other stuff. Unfortunately, Kinami’s mind refused to function after that point. Instead of reacting, she froze and stared at him until he finally left.
Tai and Mat (who had remained silent (for once) during the exchange) immediately knew something was up. They immediately began to joke, trying to slowly bring Kinami out of her stupor. They became incredibly concerned when she didn’t respond, instead staring at the door where Roy had left.
Mat was the first to consider that, perhaps, Kinami had not heard everything. Being the perceptive one of the group, he asked her if she knew that Roy would still be there for her. That snapped her head around to stare at her friend as if he had claimed to be straight. After a comment on how much of a persistent t**t the kid was, and Kinami seemed to start thawing from her fixed position.
What Kinami didn’t realize until much later was what Mat observed to Tai that night. The two began shared a drink and threatened the un-present ninja child to their hearts content. They made promises to one another, knowing that if said child hurt their friend more than she already was, he’d be a goner, laws or no laws.
And they desperately, desperately hoped that Kinami figured out her feelings very soon, or she might just end up with another shattered heart.
For the next two months, Kinami saw neither hide nor hair of the twatty ninja in question. It allowed her time to reflect on her life, on where she stood with him. She knew that she ought to trust Mat and Tai’s words, but…there was a small part of her that kept wondering if he would ever come back. It was with that thought that Kinami sought him out on the eve of the new year.
She found him just past the last house in Iwagakure, in the outskirts of the city. In hand she held her story, completed just that night. While the fireworks went off, lighting up the scene, she approached silently and held out the (literal) book to him, her face completely devoid of all emotion.
Inside, as she watched him take it, she was in complete and utter turmoil. She was terrified of what he would think, ashamed that she had let it happen, apprehensive of him spilling it to everyone and their brother, sad that it took her so long to get it out, and relieved that it was finally over. She kept this calculatingly behind her best and strongest mask, and when he opened it to read it (or scan it, she didn’t know which), she turned and walked calmly back to her tower to cry herself to sleep once again.
Kinami’s dreams on that new year were on an incident that happened a month or so before. Someone attacked the wolf clan of Iwagakure, driving Sanaki and her family to seal their home and leave the village. The leader of the wolf clan had been killed, so now the young girl she had only met once and hadn’t gotten to know was in charge of an entire family. That incident bode ill for the village, and so had Kinami doing everything in her power to figure out who killed the leader, had her stretched to her wit’s end trying to keep people from panicking, people were still disappearing, and somehow she had to keep everyone from jounin level and below from finding out all the details. Of course some chunin knew bits and pieces, but they were sworn in to not reveal anything to anyone else. They wouldn’t connect the dots until they were supposed to know.
Kinami didn’t sleep well at all.
The next day, when Kinami saw Roy, she couldn’t help reverting to her old persona. She didn’t know how he would react towards her- would he hate her? Would he think her weak? Would he not respect her? …would he pity her?
She became incredibly unsure around him. She didn’t know how to act, and so she quieted and became incredibly shy in his presence. To keep others from thinking something was up (well, more than normal), she took to avoiding him whenever possible.
The stress cut her bad temper even shorter than usual. She began to snap at many, many people for the dumbest things- a paper cut, not having things in order, things that would normally make her shrug and wander off had her chewing people out. The only person to escape her ire was Roy, because if he did hate her, she didn’t want him to hate her even more.
One day, when she had scared people away because of her temper, Roy approached her. She was apprehensive as soon as he locked the door, and couldn’t help but look on with an eye of suspicion. Years of habits didn’t die in one moment, after all.
Her hand went slack and her body went temporarily numb when he spoke. He didn’t hate her? He wouldn’t abandon her like almost everyone else in her life? She watched him leave, and with him leaving, she felt an odd sensation. She was tingling through her entire body, but not in an unpleasant pins-and-needles way. It was very much a good feeling.
It was only after nearly being asleep that she sat up with a jolt, having had a momentary epiphany. At first, she thought it was impossible. It couldn’t be. Ever. Then, she needed a second opinion. If it was what she thought it was, she’d need to be told by Mat or Tai. With that, she threw on some clothing and rushed over to her friend’s home.
After interrupting them in their nightly activities, and allowing them to finish, she presented her suspicions to them. At their bemused looks (Tai’s a bit more venomous than Mat’s), she realized that, for once, her intuition was correct.
She was hopelessly, completely, utterly and wholly in love with a ten-year-old ninja named Roy.
After a night of confusion and drinking (not nearly as much as the last time- she made sure neither Tai nor Mat let her over drink and get completely smashed like last time), she decided she needed to set her priorities straight. After all, what would the village think, a thirty-some-odd-years-old woman dating a teen over twenty years her junior? They wouldn’t like that one bit.
So, she decided that if Roy wished to pursue a relationship, it would have to be kept relatively secret until such a time as Roy became an adult as defined by the rest of society. She could get in a lot of trouble with the councils if she dated a minor. However…she was willing to give it a try.
With that figured out, even with all the disappearances and deaths weighing on her (her past as well, although that was lighter than before), Kinami began to smile more. Her laughs no longer held the slight bitterness that they had before once held. For once, she was happy with life.
Disaster struck soon after Kinami’s gargantuan epiphany; Quite literally, as well. Ryoko somehow found out that Kinami had intentions of dating Roy, if he so wished. She approached Kinami right away, claiming that she could not love a ten-year-old boy for real. Kinami immediately took offense to that statement- she knew what she was capable of. Obviously, Ryoko thought otherwise.
The fight between two women of equal temper quickly disintegrated. They came to blows very fast, each fighting the other with as much anger and annoyance as they could muster. Ryoko appeared to have gone all-out against her village leader; Kinami had enough sense to know she could kill the woman if she used her full strength.
The fight ended quickly in a stalemate. Kinami wouldn’t hurt Ryoko more than necessary, and the elder Takamichi woman seemed to have used up all her energy. Kinami glared at her, pulling back with surprise when, from behind them, Roy told the two he was ashamed of them. While he walked away, Kinami flushed. They had been acting like children.
Ryoko’s laugh broke the ice for her. She returned the laugh in good faith, apologizing for her behavior after Ryoko did. Then, promptly collapsing next to her, Kinami completely forgave her for everything (up until that point, at least).
One moment, Kinami was minding her own business, whiling away the time with tedious paperwork that she was nearly done with. The next moment, a giant explosion went off in the general vicinity of the Meikyuu cave system.
Kinami left behind her things to rush towards the hospital. As she passed by ninja, she ordered them to go towards the fighting. Only half, though- the other half she split. One quarter (roughly- it’s rather hard to count when a battle is on your hands) went to the academy to protect the children. Another quarter went to warn the citizens and refugees (who had steadily been filtering from their home countries into Iwa. Iwagakure was now a rather diverse village) to get to safety somewhere away from the invading force.
At one point, she met up with Roy. He seemed to be headed towards the Academy- he stopped when he saw her for a moment. It seems they both had the same impulse- they both ended up telling the other they loved them. It was something that Kinami did on a whim, not knowing who would survive and who would die.
She was rather bemused when he stood there in shock. It wasn’t often she could shock him, really, so she filed it away as a moment to cherish and look back on in the future. She told him to come back to her, and then left him to fight for his life.
She hoped he would make it.
When she approached the hospital, Kinami started to organize a medical team for the field, a medical team for injured persons and sent them to where the refugees were huddled, and then did her best to keep the injured people safe.
She couldn’t leave the hospital- there were too many people who couldn’t be moved. Instead, she directed the forces from her position. She watched with carefully concealed horror as people who had disappeared attack their own village. Ninja she knew and had fought with, who had pledged their undying loyalty to the village hidden in stone, were attempting to slaughter their fellow nin.
Some of them were succeeding.
This was one of the things that Kinami had wanted to do her utmost to prevent. She didn’t want an invasion. She didn’t want another war. She didn’t want to see people die by the hands of their friends, husbands, wives, children. She didn’t want others to live through this horror that she had witnessed before and seemed to want to come back to haunt her.
Her temper flared. How DARE someone attack her village? Who had the audacity to try and hurt her people? Kinami swore that she would hunt down the person who had brainwashed her people (there was no other explanation) and make them pay dearly. Placing an ANBU squad in her stead, she went hunting.
It was sheer dumb luck that, at the point where she met the mind behind the force, she also met up with Tai and Mat. Her dear friends knew the look in her eyes, though it had been a long time indeed since they had seen it. Without a word of exchange, they fell into the old team formation for battle- it was like riding a bike that you had adored and were now just rediscovering it again. They were surprisingly thrilled to be back and working as a team, and at the same time, they had a deadly intent towards the strange woman.
The woman stood at about Kinami’s height. She was rather buxom, with striking hazel eyes and brown hair that looked as if the earth had decided to take a shape and chose this woman as its vassal. She was probably incredibly beautiful, but Kinami was too angered to realize how she looked.
With Tai at point, Kinami centering left, and Mat at the back right they faced their opponent. She probably said some things. She probably boasted. She surely must’ve insulted them or the village. Kinami was too into her battle persona, the one that the village had never witnessed up front, that she ignored anything coming from the woman’s mouth and instead cued the others to start the fight.
Tai attacked recklessly, his aian nakkuru flashing in the daylight. Mat protected his lover and his best friend from father away, using his jutsu to protect the two better fighters. Until Mat became exhausted with his chakra, Kinami joined Tai in attacking with her fists and legs. As she was faster than Tai, she was able to maneuver more and get in more hits.
She took over with the jutsu when Mat backed away. Yama wasted no time at all in leaving the scene, throwing a concerned look over his shoulder but knowing he would only be a liability if he stayed.
Kinami noticed that, at one point, the woman tried to seduce Tai. Unfortunately for her, she seduced the wrong person. Tai was fully dedicated to Yama, and had a mild case of heterophobia besides. While the woman was distracted with shock, Kinami and he began to chase her out of the village.
There is no fury like a mother protecting her offspring. The same can be said for a leader protecting her village. Her harsh determination and Tai’s amazing taijutsu skills and stamina were enough to, barely, drive out the alien from their land. She fled to the badlands, leaving behind two very tired ninja.
Tai went to Mat after exchanging a few words with Kinami. She appointed him, then and there, the head of the ANBU corps. He left knowing what was happening without having to be told a second time.
Once she was left on her own (relatively speaking, as people were continuing to pick things up and fix the damage that had been wrought), Kinami began to take a toll of the dead. Many civilians had perished. An equal number of refugees seemed to have lost their lives as well. A scattered handful of ninja, all of the ones who had invaded with the woman, had been killed. It was only when she came across Roy, sobbing over the body of his dead father, that her heart stuck in her throat and she froze.
She didn’t know what to do. She was immediately reminded of losing her own father. The old scar throbbed, less than before but still a reminder, and left Kinami floundering for something to say or do.
A young girl bearing a close resemblance to both Roy and Ryoko spoke up, telling Kinami to get her arse over to Roy. Identified later as Roy’s sister, Kinami wondered briefly how she had known how Kinami had felt about the young ninja. As soon as that note was made, she made her way through the gathering crowd to Roy.
She didn’t say anything. What could she say? I know how you feel? That just seemed to rub it in and reminded Kinami of her own past. Anything else seemed inadequate, so she just pulled Roy into her lap and held him, doing her best to offer comfort without the words to go with it.
She didn’t know how long she sat, letting him do what he would in his grief, until she was interrupted by Ryoko’s presence.
The elder woman had a look of disbelief on her face, a flash of it, before she became incredibly angry. She yelled a lot, and it quickly became obvious that she was violent when grieving. Loath as she was to leave her position, she had to push Roy away and attempt to restrain Ryoko.
Kinami was exhausted from her fight. Ryoko had more energy than her, and as such, if Tai hadn’t jumped in to help, Kinami would’ve probably been seriously injured. Yama (Kinami blessed his foresight over and over again in the span of minutes it took to calm Ryoko) dispersed the crowd tactfully. He, too, left when everyone had gone, leaving Kinami and Tai to wrestle with Ryoko, Roy, and a dead corpse.
Ryoko finally calmed down, and Tai pulled her off to presumably let her rage at his place. Yama would help there greatly, as he seemed to ooze comfort and calm at all times; That left Kinami to go back to Roy, sitting with him until such a time as he left her.
The mess after the invasion was long and harsh in fixing. Fully half of the structures had been destroyed- the academy, the café, most of the refugee homes that had been going up, part of the hospital. Kinami was left to run as a chicken who had lost its head, trying to be one hundred places at once while directing ten times that amount in projects that needed to be done yesterday.
The months blurred, six of them passing in a blink. Every day Kinami arose at false dawn, worked with the rebuilding attempts until her noonday meal (the only food she had, and she probably wouldn’t’ve eaten had Mat not practically tied her to a chair each and every day), then wrote up reports, sent people out to see what had become of that woman, researching who she could possibly be….She was amazed that, stretched as thing as she was, she hadn’t fallen apart from nerves and stress.
Each night she fell into bed and was asleep before she hit her mattress.
Towards the end of the two years from Hell, Kinami got a tiny piece of hope to carry her through the rest of the days, counting down until a certain date: Roy asked her out- As a secret, of course, but it was still a date between them. Kinami was ecstatic.
Time can be saved. Time can be wasted. Time can die, live, be moved through all sorts of motions to make it more convenient for others. But it still has it’s own twisted and sadistic humor to speed things up or slow them down when you wish it the least.
Two years can pass in the blink of an eye.
Two years can last an eternity.
Personality: Kinami is a person who is able to take nearly everything as it comes, in stride, and keep on moving with a happy face and laid-back demeaner. She could be told the world was ending, handed proof, and she'd most likely laugh and continue with whatever it was she was doing at the time.
However, she has a bad habit of ignoring things she doesn't want to do until the last minute and being late, which has gotten her into trouble a handful of times. But when it counts, things get done and she can be prompt when it's needed.
She is pretty random. She likes what she likes, hates what she hates, and is a major procrastinator. She sticks up for what she believes in and will fight tooth and nail for what she thinks is right. She's loyal to a fault, is more childish than mature, and takes things in stride with a smile and a wave.
Lately, however, she has become more serious with her work. Having written her past and having had Roy read it, she doesn't have flashbacks as often, nor does she freak out about it as much.
Other: She's bisexual but prefers younger men.... And has a vivid and well-placed fear of squirrels, especially albino ones.

Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique) This jutsu is where one uses a cloak or a piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, interpreting oneself invisible. Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique) This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Cp cost: 1 Damage: N/A Requirements: Must have something to replace with. Training days: Academy time. Special: Add chakra mod to dodge bonus. You cannot use this while in a defensive position. Very Special: This jutsu is currently being hotly debated on and may change. Nawanuke no Jutsu (Rope Escape Technique) A basic technique taught at the Ninja academy. When a ninja is tied with rope, he can undo the knots and escape using this jutsu. Cp cost: 1 Damage: N/A Requirements: Learn in the Academy. Training days: Academy time. Special: Roll an escape artist skill check when using this. Add your chakra mod to the check. Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination. Cp cost: 1 per ft Damage: N/A Requirements: Dexterity 20+ Training days: 3 days. Special: When rolling initiation checks or racing, or anything that involves speed, add chk mod to the dice roll. Kagemane no Jutsu (Shadow Bind) A skill that originally was used as a delaying tactic, the user is able to control an opponent's movement by connecting his shadow to theirs. The user's shadow is able to move, extend and change shape, but it must maintain the same surface area as the original. Any shadows between the user and opponent can be used to increase the total surface area, thus allowing the user's shadow to extend further than normal. The technique is also known as the Shadow Bind Skill (Kage Shibari no Jutsu). This jutsu does not harm the ninja using it when their opponent is harmed, unless they're harmed by an outside force and the movement made could hurt the user, such as an arm breaking or a quick neck jerk. The user of the jutsu must perform the Dragon, Tiger, and Bird handseals to start this jutsu. The basic premise of this jutsu is to focus ones chakra into a nearby rock or some other solid object. The user fills the object with their chakra till it gets to a point where they can forcebly cause the object to explode from the inside out. Higher level users of this jutsu may even put a 'timer' on the object by manipulating their chakra to accelerate once it leaves their hand. In this, high levels of chakra control are needed and must be maintained in order to keep a bomb from going off before time. With the exception of those highly tuned to detecting chakra, others would not be able to detect those bombs made with this technique because the chakra shouldn't change the shape of the object until the very last moment. He began studying the ancient sealing jutsus used to seal the elements in the world. Instead of sealing elements of the outside world, the user seals the elemental chakra used by an oppoenents body during jutsu. In order, these seals seal off fire chakra, water chakra, earth chakra and wind chakra for the duration of the battle OR until they steal the scroll and recite the code sealing the chakra. A seperate scroll is needed to seal up multiple target's chakra (one scroll per person) and no more than one seal can be placed upon a person at any given time. Height: 1 ft Weight: 6 lb Fur: Solid Black Eyes: Chrimson Physical Description: Rather small for her age but incredibly powerful. Her fur is a deep black that, if she decided to close her eyes in a dark room, you'd never find her. Background: Things...tend to be intersting when your as old as this cat. No one knows her history, not even the Earth Master Rain whom she use to call owner. Rain found Etna on a cold day and simply felt an unbarable draw to Etna and thus named her after some of the more influential people in her life. Etna, however, wasn't a mear stray cat. She was already blessed with the intellegence to speak human language (3 to be exact) and a good grasp of Ninjutus. It's no small task to say that Etna actually taught Rain a thing or two. No matter where Rain has gone, Etna could always be found somewhere near, supporting from the shadows (or from the front line if you take into account her ability to summon the guard dog of Hell). When Rain was sealed away, Etna was caught in the jutsu as she tried to save her friend/owner. Now, after being unsealed, she was captured again during the raid of Iwagakure and is now under the watchful eye of the Takamichi family. The question is, who is watching whom... Personality: Etna tends to act very regal and upity. The reason being is because...well...she's a cat and not that many people are expecting a cat to be able to do all the things she can do. Her power is quite enormous and formidible and many people underestimate her because of her size which fits her just fine. She does have a sharp toung and speaks what she feels no matter who it hurts. But she always has an air of coniving and plotting about her so many don't trust her outright. Probably for the better.
Other: Through unknown methods and happenings in her past, Etna is able to summon the Guard Dog of Hell, Cerberus. The dog fully listens to her dispite species fights. Many think that she has some dirt on Cerberus but no one knows.

It can be taught by the experienced members that know the style and is not a blood line.
History: Hisakata yaiba jikei dated back over several decades, back to the fudeal era, a single man whos idea for peace in turn drove him to war as he fully belived "The end justifies, the means." This was this man battle cry as he would obtain peace for his country by any means necisiary. He leaded basicly a revolution agint his countries Shogunate and many time there number simply overwhelmed the un traied and low in number revoultionaires. With time most of his followers belived there would be no chance for victory. Then as desperation set in the man came up with his own duel blade fighting style and it proved to be very effective for him as he had slain far more than his share of enimies. Yet his revoulition was still begining to die as the shogunate still seemd to well trained and to far numerous. At which point the man began to teach the revoultionaries the same combat style, with little time to be gained they had leared and simple threw Hisakata yaiba jikei each man had beacme the equilvent of ten of the shogunates and with skill alone the in time defeated the corupt Shogunate wich set in a fairer form of goverment, diplomacy. It was the teaching of Hisakata yaiba jikei wich had turned unskilled and unmotivated revoultionaries in to great warriors wich changed there country forever. This sword style has been kept alive threw the generations basicly as a bushido school wich has survived over the many decades since it was orignialy created by a single man.

Background: Giglamesh comes from a foregin land which has not shinobi but instead samurai and was raised basicly his hole life to become one, untill not long ago it was found out he was different as giglamesh cirulated with chakra threw out his body. Its Blade, Saya, and Menuki wrap are white. Where as its Habiki, Tsuba, Kashiri, Tsuka, Kurigata, Sage-o, and Scabard throat are black. On the saya in black japenese kanji the blade's name is writen. Sumasshu-Hashi- Are a set of two master katanas one at each hip above the other two blades. Sumasshu-Hashi, or Smashing edge, are unique as they are Sakabatou and on there own right blades that cannot kill. The Sumasshu-hashi katana set is colored, the Habiki, Tsuba, Kashiri, and Scabard throat are black. The Saya and tsuka are extremly dark blood red, basicly black with red tint. The Menuki wrap, Kurigata, and sage-o are a bright almost neon red. Blade it just the normal steel color. It hard to see at distance but a serpentine dragon is etched in to the saya wraping around it, at close distance the dragon etched in to the seathe has great detail. Getsuei Odori- (Moon dance) Description of Jutsu: The user casts four bushin's over them self and each is controled to move slightly slower than the last. When the user moves they move at a slower pace on purpose as the multiple images confuses the oppnent to make them unsure of wich is the real user and because of this it make the user hadered to hit, as well as making hitting the oppent slightly eaiser as they are unsure if which is the real one and unser sure which to evade. Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. Hannafubuki chiru hitosashi- (Cherry blossom spreading dance) The user preforms multiple hand chakra seals and then channels chakra not to their hands but there feet. The chakra in built in a very unusualy way and is then released in to the ground by a single foot stomping action. the built up chakra floods in to the grounds and basicly creates sakura (cherry blossom) petals from nutrients and minerals in the ground. The petals burst up from the grounds in to the air and slowly fall back to the ground. Its belived most that know this jutsu simply have a fondness to the cherry blossom festivials, when in reality the jutsu true prupose is to make one a great deal more evasive, and even further to increase the effective ness of fire type jutsu. Physical Description: Keiko has scars all over the right side her body, it starts from the bottom of her rib cage and extends down to her knee. Her headband hides a fairly large scar on the right side of her head.
Background: When Keiko was 5 her mother taught her how to use her healing powers, her mother became sick with cancer and died when she was 7. A man that her family had thought to be close friend, wasn't, he raped her and made her feel ashamed of herself. Her father, the head of the clan, died when she was 10, of a battle wound. For that day she became the head of the clan and inherited the rest of her healing powers. She was shuffled from house to house until she was 11, when her Grandmother took her in. Her Grandmother taught her how to use the rest of her family's healing powers. When she entered the academy she refused to use them and she lost them, along with the head position of her clan. Her grandmother over took her life, she was utterly pissed that Keiko gave up the head spot and didn't get the title of the clan. Keiko wanted nothing to do with her Grandmother and the clan, and Keiko turned very bitter in her Genin years. She let no one close to her, she was very mean to anyone who crossed her path, expect for Kinami. These days, she has changed her ways, she's a pretty happy person, she can and will show her emotions, but that's only if needed.
Personality : She is very strong minded and strong willed. People say that she didn't even cry when she lost both of her parents. She does have her soft spots. She's not so much of a mean/unhappy person. She is usually always happy, hyper or content. However, she can have a major b***h attitude.
Other: Keiko is married to Gogandantes Giglamesh, they have a child, a baby girl. Her name is Maiyuri, she has two different colors, her right one was a bright crystal blue and the left one was a deep hazel color, her hair was soft and dark chocolate brown. Her skin was tan as both of her parents, her nose was smaller and a bit rounded, and her smile was as bright.

Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Cp cost: N/A Damage: N/A Requeriments: Dexterity 20+ Training days: None.
Fukumikuchi Hari (Hidden Mouth Needles) The user is able to summon forth needles into the mouth and then spit them out at their opponent with precise accuracy. Cp cost: 1 per needle Damage: Needle "Senbon" damage + chk mod instead of dex mod Requeriments: Dexterity 20+, Fuuin Jutsu 5 Training days: 10 Days. Special: You can only spit out an amount of needles equivalent to your level's roll.
Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Doppelganger Technique) Creates one or more identical copies of the user out of water. These clones are capable of attacking, except for the fact that each clone's power is only one-tenth of the user. Also, the clones can only be controlled within a certain radius of the user. That is the technique's weakness. This is considered to be the Water Style equivalent to the Leaf Village's "Kage Bushin No Jutsu" (Shadow Doppelganger Technique) mainly because it divides up the user's attention and chakra to an extent. Cp cost: 4 per bushin. Damage: Bushin deal 1/3 of your normal damage. Requeriments: Water Affinity. Training days: 3 days.
Doton: Doroku Gaeshi (Earth Release: Earth Shore Return) After striking the ground with his hands, the user creates a large wall of earth will rise into place as defense. The defense is not perfect though, since a hard or drilling impact can puncture the wall. Cp cost: 20 Damage: N/A Requeriments: Level 10 higher Training days: 15 days.
Sensatsu Suisho (A Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death) This jutsu freezes water into the shape of sharp needles, which then home in on the opponent from all directions. To perform this Jutsu, the user must be near a body of water. Cp cost: 10 +2 per needle. Damage: 4 - 8 per needle. Requeriments: Water Affinity. Must be close to a body of water. Training days: 10 days.
Doton: Dochu Eigyo no Jutsu (Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique) Using the Oboro Bunshin no Jutsu (Haze Clone Technique), the user can use the clones to confuse their enemies and then hide within the earth. However, when using this jutsu together with the Oboro Bunshin, the actual attackers can then strike at their target from the ground, amidst the confusion. Cp cost: 6 pts. Damage: You actual damage. Requeriments: Amegakure. Training days: 10 Days.
Suiton: Suikodan no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Shark Bullet Technique) This jutsu utilizes water to attack the enemy with a powerful water burst. Cp cost: 23 Damage: 40 - 75 + chakra mod. Requeriments: Water Affinity. Training days: 4 days.
Genjutsu-
-Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique) Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The user will use the rat hand seal that causes an imaginary circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast, the world will appear normal to the target until they have already seen the illusion. Cp cost: 10 Requeriments: Genjutsu 10 Ranks Training days: 5 days. Will Save: 10 + character level + charisma mod.
Magen: Niju Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique) Type: Unknown, probably: B-rank, Supplementary, All ranges A second atmospheric layer of Genjutsu is placed among the first illusion performed at firsthand. Cp cost: 25 Requeriments: Genjutsu 10 Ranks Training days: 5 days. Will save: 15 + character level + charisma mod.

Element Affinity: Lightning, Earth. Age: 12 Gender: Male Rank: Genin ~Appearance~ Headband: It bothers him on his head, so he normally wears it on his neck like a collar. Height: 5'2 Weight: 80 Lbs. Hair: Dark brown Eyes: Green Physical Description: White, muscular for a child, long-legged. Clothing: Wears a red sweatshirt on most occasions, or a red shirt if it's very hot outside. Background: Background Niboshami Katare is the grandson of a famous ninja. This ninja did not give himself a title of any kind, and therefore was simply called "The Nameless Ninja of Kumogakure". Over time, "Nameless Nin" became regarded as one of the most powerful ninjas of his time. However, when Katare was 5 years of age, his grandfather was finally taken down. This was caused of a well-aimed physical blow right below the back of the neck; This effectively disaligned his fourth and fifth vertabrae, leaving him paralyzed and unable to dodge or block anything at all. Obviously enough, he was quickly 'disposed of'. His father, of course, told Katare of his grandfather's death.. Except that instead of telling him that his grandfather was murdered, Katare's father simply said that he had died of a heart attack. (He dosen't have a name, so Dad figures that Katare will never find out...) Less than a year afterwards, the family was captured by Kirigakure ninjas while on a trip headed to Cloud Country. His father was taken away for a reason that Katare still dosen't know, and his mother was raped and killed right in front of Katare's eyes. In some evil form of torture, Katare had been forced to watch by some other members of the Water Country. This drove Katare mad, and the pictures in his mind of it ended up putting him into a state of shock for several days. When he woke up, he was in the arms of his crying father, on their way back home. Katare, over the course of the next few months, came up with several methods of blocking the horrible memories out of his mind. Ever since then, Katare has done everything to be just like his grandfather. He has been determinedly training himself in mental and physical fields, and is now, at age 10, training to become the best ninja around and become strong enough to avenge his mother. ...But it still drives him completely crazy whenever those memories begin to stir... Personality: Personality Katare is, more than anything else, determined to surpass his grandfather and become the most well-known ninja in all of the world. Katare is frugal. If you ruin one of Katare's articles of clothing, or one of his weapons, Katare will likely rip your head off. (That's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the picture.) Normally Katare can be playful or competitive, but sometimes Katare will, in a flash, become dead serious. This is normally the effect of making Katare disturbed, mad, or worse: Crazy. Last but maybe just a little bit least, Katare is nearly always thinking about something else. When he's not trying to train his ninja skills, or tearing off your limbs for ruining his favorite red jacket, he's most likely daydreaming. In this fashion, Katare tends to develop multiple crushes from time to time because of all of the cute little fantasies constantly shooting through his mind. Timeskip Katare would continue his training in the arts of ranged fighting and skillful detection, envisioning none but the far-off possibility of defeating his rival in a decisive match. After so much slacking and procrastination, he had finally buckled down and gotten to work honing his potential... And it seemed to be coming along rather nicely. Perhaps his grandfather was right, perhaps he truly was capable of surpassing the rest of his family, a true accomplishment considering that his grandfather was hailed as one of the greater ninjas of his time and that his ancestors were only bigger, stronger... faster.
Katare thought of the real meaning behind his clan's use of the word faster, thus breaking his concentration and disconnecting him from what he considered to be the unwritten music of Shi Plateau: The windy tempo, the chorus known only as Shi Plateau's few signs of life, and occasionally Katare's own silent accompaniment... Then again, that was the other part of what had broken his concentration, so he decided to try not to enjoy his training quite so much. Katare shut his calm blue eyes yet again, having long ago been taught that his other senses would eventually come into play perhaps even more than the simple pleasure of sight. After a few moments of silence, Katare could hear and feel the feather-light wind once again, and he even began to detect the light scent of good food, brought into the air by the northwest winds that surely had also affected the Taitou Curry Cafe. There wasn't another training exercise to Katare's knowledge that could be relaxing and straining at once.
Without so much as a hint, the wind seemed to hit hard... from every direction! Certainly this was unusual enough for Katare to stop the exercise and search for some answers, so he unveiled his pupils and did a quick check for an abnormality of any sort. Of course, nothing could be found, minus the pattern of air that seemed to chill him to the very bone. Surely this must have been the work of a shinobi! “But was it one of ours, or…” Katare needed to return to the village, and flesh out some information on who trains at Shi Plateau.
Katare would search the town throughout the day, but would hear of no wind ninja training at the plateau. Knowing that this could be serious, Katare attempted to contact Kinami... with no luck. The next three days would be spent trying to find somebody who would know about such a jutsu, whenever Katare wasn't subbing at the academy. Roy seemed a prime choice, but the jealous boy didn't want to feel as though he always needed Roy's help. On the third night, however, reports of Fifth Dawn shinobi would reach the village of the stone, history would be made, and his abilities would truly be put to the test. If only it were as simple as it sounded…
Katare was surprised as Roy was perverted. Fifth Dawn? Weren't those the guys who had caused... Katare wasn't really one to plan revenge, but when it appeared right in front of him he figured that he may as well take his chances. Besides, there wasn't a chance in hell that they would take away his family a second time. Strangely enough, there weren't many who felt the same way. Panic seemed to overtake the crowds, some of the chuunin were shivering, three quarters of the genin must have pissed their pants. Why can't they pull themselves together? What was the point of them choosing to become ninja if they couldn't band together and protect what they cherished? Katare fumed at the incompetence of his ‘family’, and just as he was about to do something about it, a familiar face walked to the stage. Giglamesh began another speech that seemed rather similar to the one he had given the students after the physical training. As the speech went on, more and more people seemed to compose themselves, and by the time he had finished everybody appeared ready to fight for their lives and for their village.
Katare would have criticized Giglamesh’s speech, but he was too overtaken with his very own preparations for the coming battle. The crowd having quieted to listen to the speech, Katare shut his eyes in an attempt to know when the Fifth Dawn were going to attack A couple of minutes after the speech ended, it happened. There had been no method to sense it coming, no chance even years afterwards to determine just how it had begun. It was no more than everybody’s preparation… to complete chaos, over the course of two seconds. Perhaps somebody attempted to create a plan of defense, perhaps Roy or even Kinami, but even they couldn’t conceive enough improvisation to stop such a powerful force. No, this was no more than a question of the village’s combined strength and determination. Katare grabbed his kunai and began to hurl them at the enemies, but their skill at dodging easily overcame a few clumsy long-range attacks. As the conflict continued, time bent to the will of fate; the deadly battle could have gone on for minutes, days or even weeks before the true disaster struck.
Katare would remember it most clearly, even in a time when order had been stripped of all power and destruction instead ruled over the village. The power of earth, harnessed and purified to frightening levels. A woman, dressed in a brown suit of stunning quality. The people of his own village, becoming bloody messes without the need of outside help. His very own ’family’ was fighting amongst themselves in a scene of what swiftly became nothing more than morbid. Before, there was skilled combat between two ninja groups; now there were bloody messes everywhere, their own comrades stepping on them as though they had become nothing the very moment their eyes shut for the final time. This fight must end before everybody’s eyes were shut! Katare began to charge who seemed to be the leader, the woman dressed in brown. He didn’t know what he was going to do, he only knew that, at that moment, he didn’t want anybody to die except for her.
The boy never stood a chance. Before he came within throwing range of the woman, an enemy shinobi would stab him in the back with one of Katare’s very own kunai. Bleeding and weak, he would immediately collapse and fall to the ground, but refused to give the others permission to make him part of the field; he would not faint, he wouldn’t become one of them by shutting his eyes. His eyes would remain open, and the conflict would as well. The people that he chose to care about, all beginning to collapse. His family, losing hope in a resolution to a death-or-worse fight… and he was near-flat on the stone, refusing to avert his gaze. It was a repeat of what had happened nearly five years ago. “Mom…”
The nearly-crying Katare had to speak up, if it was all he was left capable of doing. “Don’t just give up! As long as the moon is in the sky and the hearts in our bodies, we shall defend!” He didn’t realize how corny it was, nor did he wonder if anybody heard him, or gained hope because of him. There wasn’t enough energy left for that. He would nearly faint at that moment, but his fear of being trampled kept him awake. The battle would resume, and over an indescribable amount of time Katare would try so hard at remaining conscious that he would become, at a conscious level, unsure why he was staying awake. After who knows how long, the Iwagakure defenses would improve, and the Fifth Dawn numbers would dwindle. The village was finally gaining its ground. More than enough for Katare’s mind…
The hospital would soon enter the busiest week of all time, becoming the temporary home of a staggering number of ninjas. Iwagakure had fended off the Fifth Dawn and the woman in brown, although it was decidedly a Pyrrhic victory. The entire village had poured all of their abilities and determination into what might be compared with a single guardian being, and they were exhausted to the core. But with the threat of more enemy assaults, about half of the population hospitalized, and the council in a dazzlingly confused state, there was no time for such conveniences as sleep. For Katare, however, sleep wasn’t a convenience so much as a given. The next five days would be spent in a hospital that was busy enough that there may as well have been a line outside. However, Katare couldn’t remain incapacitated forever…
Katare was completely speechless when the nurse informed him. Not only had he survived, but the village had kept the Fifth Dawn from invading. There were truly no words to describe just how happy he was at that moment. Then, about seven-and-a-half seconds later, he realized just how helpless he had been against them, and stood straight up. “I have to go train now. Thanks for the help, though!” At that, Katare began to walk out the door.. And was interrupted by the nurse, to was still standing in the doorway. “You can’t just up and leave! What if your wound hasn’t fully healed?” Katare became stern and replied, “My wounds are fine, and don’t matter if I can’t even protect my own family. Training is much more important. Now, if you’ll excuse me…” Katare ducked under the nurse and made his way to the front counter clerk. “Niboshami Katare, checking out of the hospital.” The clerk nodded and searched until she found and pulled out his hospital file. As Katare waited for her to finish this up so she could leave, he couldn’t help but notice his admission date. “Are you sure that date’s right? According to the nurse, I was admitted five days ago.” The clerk lightly replied, “Yes, of course that’s the right date. What, you thought we didn’t know what the busiest day of our lives was?”
Katare stood at the Takimichi home’s door for a few minutes, reflecting on all that had happened. On the five-year anniversary of his mother’s.. abusive and bloody end, Katare had once again discovered that he was helpless to protect his family. This time, however, he had the means to help himself: food, kunai, and a copious number of books on various types of training and jutsus. Well, it was certainly time to pack up and head out. Katare opened the door.. By some chance, Ryoko was absent from her own peaceful retreat; perhaps she too had been called upon to patrol the only true defense of the Stone Nation. Katare began to educate himself to the quiet pleasures of his home, aware that he should become more determined in his training should he work towards his triumphant return in two weeks’ time. For what seemed to be the first time, he noticed that the curtains caused the lighting to feel quite calm around sunset. Katare proceeded down the main hall on his left, entering the guest room.
His current home was found exactly as he had left it. The entire room was still relatively organized, a singular show of Katare’s thankfulness for Ryoko’s taking him in. It was a shame that he couldn’t stay around, since the room was so convenient. “Either way, I need to train.” He went on to begin loading up his pack, beginning with literature. All his books on training techniques were neatly placed on the usual far-left shelf. Katare had read approximately half of the books on the shelf already over the past five years, in preparation for his coming-of-age. The kid grabbed all the unread books he could find on speed training, kunai training and honing of the senses, and dumped them all in his pack. He turned to the far-right of his room, and jumped six-and-a-half feet to his mini-fridge. If it wouldn’t spoil within two weeks, it went into a bag and in with the books. Moving on to the central right, Katare would snatch both his warmest and his softest blankets and place them over the grub and words. Before zipping his pack up, he would slow down and lift his family symbol off the near-left table, setting it in the most secure pocket of his pack. At last, it was time to leave. Katare grabbed a sheet of paper from his desk, and began to write on it: “Left the city to train. Expect me back in a few weeks.” He signed the paper, and set it on the kitchen counter on the way out.
It was to Aniki Mountain that the boy chose to hike, and after three whole hours of fruitless searching Katare was beginning to get sick of the steep climb. “Isn’t there any other decent place to train on this mountain? Shi Plateau is too public to train in private…” Katare took another look around the area… and saw a squirrel. The squirrel noticed him as well, and began to scamper away. “Wait up, little buddy!” Katare attempted to chase down the squirrel, having to climb and sometimes even run across the side of the mountain in order to keep up. After a good half hour, he realized that the chase was in favor of the little guy. “Damn it, nobody is supposed to be faster than me! My family would have been pissed if they had ever discovered this thing… Wait a second, I know how I can keep up with him!” The jutsu that had still not been mastered had entered his mind, and it didn’t have any plans of backing out. After all, he did need to finish it either way. He put his hands in the appropriate shape… “Shunshin no Jutsu!”
If Katare could interpret the feelings of animals, he probably would have interpreted shock. Katare reappeared about seven feet away from the animal, and was still pushing to gain on him. Then again, it was much easier for the animal to continue, since he was so freakin’ small. The boy chased down the same squirrel for an undeterminable amount of time, using the Shunshin whenever he thought he was losing the chase. Eventually he used the Shunshin one last time and poked the animal. “Tag! Yes, I win!” The squirrel slowed for a moment, and then scampered away. Katare was exhausted in terms of both chakra and physical strain. It was sunset, and the boy looked around to view his current position. In the of the cardinal directions he saw only the mountain, and in the fourth he saw the city. Gazing upon the ground, it took his strained mind a few seconds to realize the fact that he was on a relatively large, relatively flat patch of the mountain. He beheld the three mountainous sides of his location once again, noticing that there were occasional platforms jutting out of it, plus one side of the area started at about 45 degrees up and gradually increased in steepness. “Why, this is the perfect training place!” Katare attempted to stand, but collapsed under his own weight. “No chakra left… It’s sunset anyways, I may as well go to sleep.” Without even bothering to roll out a sleeping pad, the boy fell asleep (or perhaps unconscious) at that very moment.
The following seven days would be split evenly between reading through his books and investigating the exact parameters of his newly discovered area. On the eighth day, he found a particularly interesting section on chakra strings. “Nearly impossible to see, hmm? That gives me an idea…” He spent the entire day searching through his books for everything he could find on chakra strings. By sunset, he had all that he needed. He did his best to create a chakra string with an end wrapped around the kunai and the other end on his finger. He then hurled the kunai into the mountainside and went to bed. In the morning, he had trouble waking up and only turned over violently and tried to go back to bed. Three seconds later, a kunai sailed down and hit the ground no more then four inches in front of his face. Yep, Katare’s kunai trick worked, but it had taken him over forty minutes to make that string. Katare would need to practice the technique until he could create the string quickly and discreetly. The kid spent the entire day creating chakra strings between the platforms, and the next day tested both the strings and his own dexterity by throwing a stringed kunai over the top string. It nearly hit the ground, but the kunai remained floating in mid-air, proof that his day’s work was a success. Then, he slowly walked towards the mountain, the kunai lowering into his hands just as he came to the wall. Then he pulled the string tight, and backed up. The kunai wouldn’t pull any further, and Katare stuck it into the ground and body flickered onto one of the platforms. He felt for the chakra string attached to its left side… It had no tension. That proved that he had made a perfect throw, going directly down the middle of all the strings. “Hell yeah! I’m still a decent shot…” Before dropping back to the ground, Katare placed a red flag numbered 1 on the edge of the platform.
That’s when his dexterity training would begin. When the boy awoke four days later, he was excited. He did twice the normal number of stretches, and a few random laps around the area to burn a little bit of energy. Then, he calmed down and took aim. He only had three shots, so he needed to make them count. The first kunai sailed through the air… And shot through the flag. “Freakin’ perfect!” He had made the first shot easier on purpose, and managed to get all three stringed kunai through the flag. Then he climbed up onto the platform and grabbed the first kunai where it had landed. Looking to his left, he saw the top of the pole that held the second flag. The flag itself could not quite be seen, which is what made the second shot difficult. Katare took aim and hurled his first kunai. After three seconds, he heard a tear. The boy smiled after that one, but the second shot wasn’t as good as the first. Katare reached the next platform to find the first and third kunai laced through the flag. Eventually, he had missed his final kunai on the 5th flag, the one that required him to hit a target on a platform directly above him. He knew it was possible with the correct use of his jutsu, but his abilities paled in comparison to the difficulty of the shot. Katare meticulously brought the kunai back to the ground and finished the day off by reading some of his books.
The next day, Katare’s stomach growled. He reached into his pack to grab some food… But there was nothing edible left in the pack. “I suppose I have to go back to Iwa now.” Katare packed all of his stuff and began to dash down the mountain. As he did so, he gradually realized that something was following him and stopped to figure out what it was. A squirrel jumped onto his back and almost seemed to poke him. After a moment of thinking about it Katare said, “I suppose I’m it now, huh?” The squirrel seemed to agree. “Wait a second, what the hell is a squirrel doing on a treeless mountain, anyways? I thought squirrels dwelled in the trees…” The squirrel almost seemed to be listening to the boy, although it almost certainly wasn’t true. “You’re really fast, you know that? If you’re hungry, you can go back to town with me and I’ll figure out what it is that you squirrels will eat other than acorns.” Perhaps the squirrel agreed; he remained on or near Katare for the entire trip. Actually, the squirrel seemed to be communicating with the other squirrels as he went, perhaps telling them exactly why he was following some random ninja kid.
The moment they reached the village, Katare dashed to the library, ready to check out all available books on squirrels. As usual, the librarians were intolerant of him. “You can’t bring a squirrel to the library!” Katare begrudgingly left the squirrel outside along with his pack, hoping that the squirrel would stick around. The boy found a grand total of 37 books involving the furry little animals, and managed to either check out or sneak out every last one of them. Somewhat to his surprise, the squirrel was waiting patiently outside when he returned. “Wow, you either really like me or are completely out of food. Anyways, let’s go back to the Takamichi home so I have a place to read. Of course, me bringing you into their house may be a problem…” Katare dashed to the Takamichi house, with the squirrel close behind.
Once again, nobody was home when he arrived. “Makes me feel bad that I’m not helping with anything… Oh well, I’ll be able to help once I’m finished training.” Katare headed off to his room, where his squirrel books were swiftly laid out across the bed. Katare was switching between five or more open books in an attempt to soak up all of the information involving the little animals at once. Surprisingly enough, it sort of worked. When Katare began doing specific research, he already had a good idea of what he needed to know and where it was. “…Okay, so you’re an Eastern Grey Squirrel with a melanistic phase, which explains why you’re black instead of grey. The melanin provides a better defense against viruses, which makes you actually better although your camouflage is somewhat compromised. You’ll eat pretty much any type of nuts, not to mention seeds, mushrooms, fruits and insects. I have money to buy the rest, but I do have some fruit you can eat while I’m out.. The boy returned from the grocery store to a house with no others yet again. “Oh well, at least I don’t have to waste time explaining anything to them.” Katare opened the door to his room, immediately noticing the apple core on the floor. “Damn, you really must be having problems with food, to eat all of that here and now. After naming his newfound friend Kinen, Katare began his training yet again. This time, however, he was also occupied with teaching Kinen how to understand basic commands like Attack, Come, and Stay. Of course, he spent all day every day training, so he managed to get it all done. Occasionally he met people he knew while visiting the village, but he answered nearly all of their questions and queries with a simple “I’ve been training.” Katare and Kinen grew together like two vines taking over a redwood. Their partnership became arguably the closest man-squirrel relationship of its time. Katare eventually managed to successfully make the “Backlash” fifth hole of his ninja golf game, and the last four holes weren’t nearly as difficult. The user then discreetly pulls on the chakra string to bring the kunai back and attempt to stab the target from behind. A variation of this jutsu is to, instead of a back-stab, use the chakra string to pull the kunai back into the user's hand for a surprise weapon attack (As opposed to a usual taijutsu attack, since the user would likely rush the opponent unarmed.) Hoseki Wave Description: Moving towards the opponent, you grab their arm firmly and quickly stop sliding your foot under them to trip them up a bit. Quickly, you then dig your other foot into the ground to anchor down and go into a spin accelerating rapidly not letting go of their arm spining them around, then while spinning you lower them to the ground dragging them across the ground on their side and when your spinning as fast as you can, you let go sending them flying into a wall or object tumbling on the ground. Hoseki Meteor Description: When close enough to the enemy, the user thrusts their fist into the opponent’s upper chest stunning them slightly then bring their hand up to below their chin and place their other hand on their stomach. From there, they twist around bring their opponent over their shoulder lifting them with the hand thats under their chin and raising their body with the hand thats on their stomach and when their head is overtheir shoulder, they use the hand that’s under their chin alone and slam the opponent head first into the ground. Futon: Daitoppa (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough) The user sends out a powerful explosion of wind, which can easily level almost an entire area. It is known that a variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame, making it stronger and more damaging to the target. Background:At one point in his life, Katagi never thought of himself as any one special or even being part of Iwagakure's Shinobi acadamy. Infact he would of rather become an artist like the other great ones in the Hidden stone village...but in the eyes of his great parents who were the finest that Iwagakure ever had relied on him to follow their foot steps...He was smart enough to even at his age to state the reasons why it wouldn't be a good idea for him to be a shinobi. Reasons from dieing to being lost in a mission or even kidnapped for information about their village. His father proved him wrong as it was not about those things, it was about protecting your village and friends when the time came. From that day he agreed with his mother and father to join the acadamy. Even when katagi agreed that he would go he spent most of his time in the acadamy being an artist. He was forced to become a shinobi by his parents who believed that he had the intelligence to be a great shinobi, all though Katagi always thought of it as a dangerous job that he would surely get killed. Plus no one ever respected his art in the acadamy, not that it was the greatest but it hurted him deeply that they would disrespect his art. But he decided to beat them at their own game, they teased him that the reason why he only did art was because he lacked any shinobi skills even from being born by two great shinobi. From this day and on, he'll try to surpass His parents and even the Tsuchikages of Iwagakure...or even better the Kages from Suna or Konoha...all he needs to do is put his mind to it.
Personality:He never thinks of himself as some one special or some one with an amazing gift, he believes that by becoming a strong shinobi you need to make the best out of yourself. Not by having a being possessed in you or having a special kekkai genkai to help your battles, but with pure strength and skills alone he believes he could become strong like every one else in his village and the world. He may be smart but at times he can be gullible and fooled by his nice personality, which could be compared to his mother. His bravery and strength can be compared to his father, Being some one who uses tactics in battle he looked up to his father due to this trait. He's almost never at times sad, infact he would try to cheer people up and it always worked with his brother and sisters who became sad each time...it's his own little charm as his mother says.

Hair: The length of her charcoal silver hair reaches nearly to her elbow, but she likes to keep it up most times. Or at the very least, out of her face.
Eyes: A soft grey to match the clouds on a rainy day.
Physical Description: Amaya only looked her age until the summer of her tenth birthday. Before she knew what hit her, she found herself taller and slightly more developed than many of her peers. Thanks to her early decision to start training, she simply took this change in stride, adjusting her training style to her new height. Now, she finds herself at an average height with a lean build and a mediocre bust. Days spent out in the sun have kissed her skin a soft tan. Also, despite the fact that she covers the lower half of her face with a mask, she is quite attractive, though she often times does not feel so.
Clothing: Aside from her average training attire, Amaya will often dress in a simple pair of black lose fitting shorts, dark plum sandels and a grey fitted sleeveless shirt. She always keeps her face and hands covered with dark plum colored wraps.
Background: Amaya has been an orphan for as long as she could remember. However, her grandmother made sure to never let her forget what honorable parents she had. According to her grandmother, the Itous were once a widespread powerful and wealthy clan. The family had been more involved with the politics of Iwagakure as opposed to any of the fighting. But the second civil war had been the beginning of the downfall of that tradition. As more and more Itous were slautered throughout the decades, the family slowly adapted more to the life of a shinobi. Soon, it was just the two of them. Because of this, Amaya was not to be allowed into academy until her grandmother felt that Amaya was truly ready. Unfortunately, Amaya's grandmother passed away two and a half years ago during one of the worst storms Iwagakure had ever seen. If it weren't for her grandmother's sacrifice, Amaya would be dead. Her grandmother become trapped under many feet of wet mud and rock in Amaya's place, but Amaya continued to dig and dig until she couldn't move from the exaustion. She suffered scaring to her face from the inital incident and scaring to her hands from the digging. Once released from the infirmary, Amaya had to adapt to a new way of life and after her greiving, she returned to her training.
Personality: Much like her parents and grandparents, Amaya is greatly attached to her village. She feels that her greatest honor to it and her family is to serve as a skilled shinobi for the progress and empowerment of Iwagakure. She has also become more of a loner from getting use to living by herself and because of the covering she must wear over her hands and face. It is her way to fight for Iwagakure but not interact with it, sort of like a knight complex for a kingdom without the getting involved with the citizens part of it. Perhaps she feels that way simply because she has no one to personally fight for anymore.
Other: Amaya's greatest fear is to suffer through the heartache of losing someone very close to her all over again. It is for this reason that she'll fight for her fellow shinobi and her village, but refuses to get too attached to anyone.

Biography: Two Years
Clan/Bloodline Limit: Hisakata yaiba jikei (Lunar blade style) Description of Limit: A combat style Where the weilder weilds Duel weapons typicaly a blade in right hand and a second blade in left hand facing downwards out of hand. It can be taught by the experienced members that know the style and is not a blood line.
History: Hisakata yaiba jikei dated back over several decades, back to the fudeal era, a single man whos idea for peace in turn drove him to war as he fully belived "The end justifies, the means." This was this man battle cry as he would obtain peace for his country by any means necisiary. He leaded basicly a revolution agint his countries Shogunate and many time there number simply overwhelmed the un traied and low in number revoultionaires. With time most of his followers belived there would be no chance for victory. Then as desperation set in the man came up with his own duel blade fighting style and it proved to be very effective for him as he had slain far more than his share of enimies. Yet his revoulition was still begining to die as the shogunate still seemd to well trained and to far numerous. At which point the man began to teach the revoultionaries the same combat style, with little time to be gained they had leared and simple threw Hisakata yaiba jikei each man had beacme the equilvent of ten of the shogunates and with skill alone the in time defeated the corupt Shogunate wich set in a fairer form of goverment, diplomacy. It was the teaching of Hisakata yaiba jikei wich had turned unskilled and unmotivated revoultionaries in to great warriors wich changed there country forever. This sword style has been kept alive threw the generations basicly as a bushido school wich has survived over the many decades since it was orignialy created by a single man.

Ninjutsu- Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique) The user utilizes the sheep hand seal or the tiger hand seal and concentrates their chakra to assume the appearance of another person, an animal, or even any object. This is one of the required basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninjas know this technique. Bunshin no Jutsu: This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. In certain years, Ninja are required to know this jutsu in order to advance to the Genin level. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, thus, they are substanceless, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent. Cp cost: 1 pt. per bushin. Damage: N/A Requeriments: Accademy students learn it on the accademy as a basic jutsu. Training days: Accademy. Chakra control check DC: 5 per bushin.
Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique.) This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Cp cost: 1 Damage: N/A Requeriments: Must have something to replace with. Training days: Academy time.
Nawanuke no Jutsu (Rope Escape Technique) A basic technique taught at the Ninja academy. When a ninja is tied with rope, he can undo the knots and escape using this jutsu. Cp cost: 1 Damage: N/A Requirements: Learn in the Academy. Training days: Academy time. Special: Roll an escape artist skill check when using this. Add your chakra mod to the check.
Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique) This jutsu is where one uses a cloak or a piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, interpreting oneself invisible. Taijutsu- Goken (Strong Fist) Gōken is the most basic form of Taijutsu. It aims at inflicting external damage and breaking bones. The gouken style also use extreme movements based on leg flexibility and spin kick for more damage. Damage: Inceases normal taijutsu damage to 5 - 16 Requeriments: Taijutsu 20 ranks. Training days: Must keep training all the time.
Konoha Reppu (Leaf Gale) Using their quickness and agility, the user performs a spinning kick to sweep their opponent off their feet. Damage: Taijutsu damage. Requeriments: Gouken style fighting. Training days: 10 days. Special: "With this technique you can hit all enemies around you in melee."

Eyes: Big, golden brown Physical Description: Strong and sturdy, not bulky. Very pale with a few freckles. Has large breasts that she is very consious about and is continually trying to hide in her jacket. Clothing: Tan cargo pants and a green shirt with a black fishnet shirt under it. She also wears a black jacket that goes down to her knees. She now wears a pair of gold, hoop ear rings as a promise. And a neclace with a piece of Onix, given by her brother, is now a part of her outfit. Background: She lives in a family of six and is the oldest child. Her famikly has lived in Iwagakure for four generations but she is the first ninja since her great grandpa. Due to the refusal to pass around family history, it has been lost. Kei needed a way to pay for her apartment- after being kicked out of her home by her family when she brought Rai home, she needed a better place to stay than the sewers and trees of Iwagakure (what few there were). She spotted a sign for help in the hospital windows, running errands for whichever medic had their hands too full to accomplish easy chores. For weeks, Kisoku had tried to deny the fact that he was heavily attracted to his new co-worker. For days, he wrestled with the thought of actually beginning something with the quiet, mousy girl. For hours, he made mistakes, got odd looks from everyone he knew, and fought an inner battle over his decision. Finally, when it was time for her to go, he turned around and asked her if she would do the honor of going on a date with him. Kei’s eyes were wide the entire time- where had the harsh exterior gone? she asked herself. When had Kisoku been replaced with the stuttering, shifting, nervous teen that stood in front of her, stammering his request? It was almost laughable, and she would’ve giggled over it had she enough courage to do so in front of him. Still, she found it somewhat endearing, and decided to take him up on his offer. Since then, neither one has been separated for very long. When Kisoku gets at his worst, Kei knows to back off. She is able to read him better in the two years hence, growing the tiniest of backbones in his presence. In return, he is gentler with her, more forgiving, allowing her to scold him when he believes he deserves it. He is still cold on the outside, but Kei was able to see his warm and gooey inside and since then has put up with his thinly veiled insults and sarcastic remarks- even his calling her a dimwit, although she knows that’s more of a pet name than anything else. They’ve learned enough of one another’s pasts to relate and know when to not ask questions- there are still a few secrets that neither feel ready to share, although they know that they could be gone at any given moment. Kei is able to see and work with him on a daily basis- her apartment is fairly close, and they make a point of going out with one another on a weekly basis. Also during this time, Kei's mother decided to pack up and leave the village. She did this while Kei worked, taking the young ones with her and heading towards Kusagakure. When Kei found the old house empty she didn't know what to think. She no longer had a chance to prove her mother ofher own worth... or her father's. Months passed and Kei met new friends from different villages... all fleeing from their conquered lands. Her mother returned as well... only she wasn't herself... Kei never figured out whether such a change was good or bad. Her family had entered Kusa just as it's war had started... her siblings had been killed... and her mother was sent back to be hospitalized in the mental ward. While trying to visit her mother, during work, without being attacked... she thought of way to cure her... but it was no use... A year after she was hospitalzed, she died... cursing at Kei all they way to the grave. Kei became so depressed in the month to follow that she blocked every memory with her family. To her... family was now non existant. Though this would seem to be a good thing... Kei still kept her usual personality... she still knew nothing of love. At first her training was very little. With no sensei, she had to rely on her newly found brother to teach her what he could. Though not much to her taste the first Jutsu she learned out side the academy was thousand years of pain... a ver low rank jutsu, but it was still something to her. She ran laps for weeks to get her speed up enough to make it work. After that she became more determined to learn and jutsu she possibly could. She wanted desperately to prove herself to her mother. Starting as soon as she could, she set up a scedule to train. She made sure it was during her hours off of work and such... Every week she'd increase the number of push-ups and sit-ups she did, and every month she increased her laps. When she wasn't training on that she was practicing her chakra control, ranged attacks, and fighting skills. She then started the usual stuff of Tree climbing, water walking, random missions and Jutsu training. Soon she started training with the new commers from the other villages, like the Myako twins and Kumori Ame from the Mist. They had learned some of the same jutsu she did and they sparred against eachother. Kei didn't win often, but she did win. She learned new techniques to fight, and defend. Like using her hearing instead of sight. This could be very helpful with small genjutsu as well as everyday survival. They decided that all together they would learn Dynamic entry. Practicing on eachother improved their strength and they could help eachother if one didn't have the correct speed or power. It was later found out that the four of them had two jutsu in common and would teach the others their other jutsu in exchange for on ethey didn't posses. Of course, this hasn't come about yet. For they are all busy with their own things at the time being. Personality: She is one of the most shy and modest people you will ever meet, though after staying around someone for a while she might warm up...or not. She keeps to herself because of past happenings. Other: Her hobbies are sitting in the silence of her room, reading, listening to music. She loves to sing but she won't in front of people. Her favorite foods are roast beef and cinnamon rolls.

Ninjutsu- Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination. Cp cost: 1 per ft Special: When rolling initiation checks or racing, or anything that involves speed, add chakra mod to the dice roll.

Genjutsu- Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique) Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The user will use the rat hand seal that causes an imaginary circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast, the world will appear normal to the target until they have already seen the illusion. Cp cost: 10 Will Save: 10 + character level + charisma mod.

Taijutsu- Dainamikku-Entori (Dynamic Entry) Simply a flying jump kick straight at the enemy. Usually used as an opening or surprise attack. Damage: Double taijutsu damage.
Sennen Goroshi (One Thousand Years of Death) A very simple Taijutsu technique with a very over-dramatised name. A technique in the one plunges the user's fingers into the vicinity of the victim's rectal regions. However, the true meaning of the jutsu was mainly to use a pointed object (usually a kunai), in order to attack the blindspot of the enemy. When combined with explosive seals, it can even damage Gaara in his semi transformed mode. Damage: 10 - 20 + str.

So far, Oyu lead a normal life, he was raised by is parents. Yentsu Oyu is a 30 years old man who had only two passion ; working in is forge and is wife Annaya. A silent man full of wisdom and patience. Annaya was a full time ninja in the village of Iwagakure, until she settle to raise her child. She is all the opposite of Yentsu, energetic, hot headed and strict. But still, she deeply love her only child Houka. When the child was only two years old, they parents already made a decision...he would be raised as a blacksmith or a ninja. Oyu would have to choose between those two job. So when the time come out, Houka suprised both is parent. Houka decided too follow both path. The parent agree with the child decision and saw the wisdom in it. So Houka spend most of the time helping is father in the smith and at night, his mother teach him the basic of being a ninja. The child will have to learn everything at the academy of course. And so he was accepted in the academy.
Personality: Energetic. He dosen't like to stay in one place for too long, except when he need to study or learn something. He is rather curious and that curiosity put him into trouble. He is, most of the time, a hard worker. He like to learn new things and to read book's. Is cheerfull and good nature make it easy for him to make friend's. He is rather smart for his age, but he dosen't like to be a show off.
After fist time skip : Houka is still energetic has ever. He his always a hard worker and won't back down before a challenge. He his more confident in his path and he had grown much after those two years. He think more before acting. He is more smart and he now have a diplomatic approach. His physical body and his voice are more intimidating then ever. He had train in the academy with Katare for one year. Half the second year, he had train with his mother and father. The other half he trained alone in the moutain. There, he'd killed his first ninja and save a lone wolf called Syo.

Bunshin no Jutsu: This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. In certain years, Ninja are required to know this jutsu in order to advance to the Genin level. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, thus, they are without substance, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent. Cp cost: 1 pt. per bunshin. Damage: N/A Requirements: Academy students learn it on the academy as a basic jutsu. Training days: Academy. Chakra control check DC: 5 per bunshin. Special: Can create 1 per 5 points in Chakra control. Up to 5 bunshin can be created. *The user assigns a number 1 through 6 to themselves and each of their clones indivudually. Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique) The user utilizes the sheep hand seal or the tiger hand seal and concentrates their chakra to assume the appearance of another person, an animal, or even any object. This is one of the required basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninjas know this technique. Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique) This jutsu is where one uses a cloak or a piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, interpreting oneself invisible. Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique) This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Cp cost: 1 Damage: N/A Requirements: Must have something to replace with. Training days: Academy time. Special: Add chakra mod to dodge bonus. You cannot use this while in a defensive position.
Nawanuke no Jutsu (Rope Escape Technique) A basic technique taught at the Ninja academy. When a ninja is tied with rope, he can undo the knots and escape using this jutsu. Weight: 145 lbs.
Hair: Black and to his shoulders, it's always kept in a loose braid. When it's down, and it rarely is, it is wavy. After showering, however, it's completely straight, a fact that he doesn't necessarily like.
Eyes: The right eye is green, the left blue. Both eyes start out incredibly light, and as they get closer to the pupil, they fade into colors so dark that they look nearly black.
Physical Description: He has ivory skin that would make most women drool with envy. He doesn't look like he has a lot of muscle on him, but looks are decieving. He is a lot stronger than he looks.
Clothing: His main color is black or red, because it's harder to see the bloodstains. He normally wears well-fitted tees and dark jeans. Occasionally he will relax enough to wear a sweater (always black) or put on his chunin vest, but he neither likes the color nor the style. Plus, it only gets in the way of his work, so he wears it only when necessary. He generally wears black fingerless gloves that reach mid-arm, a few inches below his elbow- his senbon are usually hidden there at his beck and call.
Background: Kisoku didn't have a very nice childhood. He lived in an orphanage his entire life, and because of that, he saw a lot of injured children. When getting in fights, kids would go to him (as he was the oldest at the time) to get their hurts patched up. Due to that fact, he gained an interest in medicine early on.
Poisons and antidotes began to fascinate him early on- around age six. He began to make regular trips to the hospital, helping out wherever possible. When he was ten, he requested to work there- they turned him down, saying that they would only hire a chunin-leveled ninja. That was when he decided to join the academy.
His years at the Iwagakure Academy were short and to the point- he studied, they taught, he graduated within a year. On his team, he kept to himself, only speaking when required. His teammates didn't like him that much, as he was constantly insulting them. It was a relief to all when he finally reached the chunin status.
True to their word, the hospital hired him the next day. Since then, he has been working there, learning all he can about medicine. He frequently works with the top doctors, all of whom thinks he's a fantastic teenager, regardless of how he acts around others. In three years, he has gone from menial cleaning (now handled by mission-seekers) to handling most poisons and their cures. None of the poisons now go through Iwagakure that haven't passed through Kisoku's hands first.

After two years, Kisoku thought he’d be rid of a pesky girl he picked up in the middle of the badlands one afternoon. However, over seven-hundred long days later, that would be the farthest thing from his mind.
After being a covert worry-wart for so long, when Kisoku found out that Kei had handle poisonous rattlers without supervision, he…well, had he been anyone else, the emotion he experienced would’ve been called ‘panic.’ As it stood, he reacted before he thought (something he rarely did) and immediately dragged her to get checked out by his mentor. Even though Kei had fallen onto him when he startled her from the academy roof, he ignored his injuries until a later date.
Soon after that, he came to terms with the fact that she wouldn’t leave him alone. Even though she didn’t mean to run into him all the time, fate forced the two to run into one another (literally) on a fairly regular basis. This fact certainly didn’t improve when Kei received a part time job in the very clinic where Kisoku himself worked.
Kei needed a way to pay for her apartment- after being kicked out of her home by her family when she brought Rai home, she needed a better place to stay than the sewers and trees of Iwagakure (what few there were). She spotted a sign for help in the hospital windows, running errands for whichever medic had their hands too full to accomplish easy chores.
At first, Kisoku ignored her and tried to pretend she didn’t exist. It wasn’t easy- the doctors he worked with on a regular basis took malicious pleasure in his discomfort, relishing in the fact that this stoic young chunin seemed to have finally met his match. Kei, herself, was bewildered; she had never been very confident, and this utter dislike had thrown her for a loop. She didn’t know what she did wrong, and so she became even more closed and shy around him (if that were possible).
After a time, Kisoku soon started to put the pieces of the puzzle together- he always became incredibly nervous around the younger girl, often tripping up and making childish mistakes that could kill one who dealt in poisons and their ilk. He covered this up by being more harsh and insulting than normal, cause and effect having Kei jumpy and nervous herself around him.
It was only when Kei was accidentally poisoned that their relationship took a better turn.
Kei had been sent by Kisoku’s main mentor to return a bottle of venom for the dark-haired ninja’s research. In a bout of incredible clumsiness known only to mere toddlers, Kei tripped in Kisoku’s workroom. The bottle hit the counter and the glass shattered into one hundred thousand pieces. She fell on her palms, but, as they had been ravished by the fragmented shards, the poison soaked into her wounds and quickly poisoned her.
Had this happened in any other part of the monumental building, Kei would’ve been quickly found and taken care of and needn’t have suffered as she did. As it stood, Kisoku was known for having lengthy bouts of solitude- his workroom was located in the farthest, coldest, dustiest, most unreachable room that could be found- rather, it had been dusty and filled with cobwebs. Kisoku was a closet neat-freak and kept his lab impeccably clean.
It wasn’t long before he found Kei on the floor, unconscious- but it was long enough. His heart stopped when he saw her there, and at that moment, he discovered that he shouldn’t have been so blind. Here lay the one person he had grown to care for as more than just family or just a friend- and he was so close to losing her.
He worked quickly. The medics allowed him as much time as he needed to care for her. She was brought back to his apartment where he remained steadfast to her side, comforting her in the brief hazes of the times when she was lucid.
Kei herself couldn’t remember much, but she recalled enough. She knew, then, that he had a softer side to him. At one point, when, at the time, she thought everything a dream, he even apologized quietly to her for acting so harshly. As she drifted in and out of focus, her mind starting up only when it absolutely needed to, she discovered that he wasn’t a bad person; in fact, they were rather alike in some ways. It was enough to make her grateful, and allowed her to realize that she might grow to care for him.
Afterwards Kisoku made up for his moments of soft weakness. He yelled and ranted and called her a thousand sorts of fool, told her that she would never be around the poisons or venom without his supervision (as soon as the staff discovered this, they immediately placed her in his loving care) and screamed until his throat was hoarse. Kei stood silently through it all, cringing and practically whimpering at times. But a small, smug voice in her head that almost couldn’t be heard reminded her of how she had been cared for by his strong, gentle hands.
A few months later, after working with his brash gruffness, she learned a new side of him.
For weeks, Kisoku had tried to deny the fact that he was heavily attracted to his new co-worker. For days, he wrestled with the thought of actually beginning something with the quiet, mousy girl. For hours, he made mistakes, got odd looks from everyone he knew, and fought an inner battle over his decision. Finally, when it was time for her to go, he turned around and asked her if she would do the honor of going on a date with him.
Kei’s eyes were wide the entire time- where had the harsh exterior gone? she asked herself. When had Kisoku been replaced with the stuttering, shifting, nervous teen that stood in front of her, stammering his request? It was almost laughable, and she would’ve giggled over it had she enough courage to do so in front of him. Still, she found it somewhat endearing, and decided to take him up on his offer.
Since then, neither one has been separated for very long. When Kisoku gets at his worst, Kei knows to back off. She is able to read him better in the two years hence, growing the tiniest of backbones in his presence. In return, he is gentler with her, more forgiving, allowing her to scold him when he believes he deserves it. He is still cold on the outside, but Kei was able to see his warm and gooey inside and since then has put up with his thinly veiled insults and sarcastic remarks- even his calling her a dimwit, although she knows that’s more of a pet name than anything else. They’ve learned enough of one another’s pasts to relate and know when to not ask questions- there are still a few secrets that neither feel ready to share, although they know that they could be gone at any given moment.
Kei is able to see and work with him on a daily basis- her apartment is fairly close, and they make a point of going out with one another on a weekly basis.
As for his training, Kisoku worked daily to better his knowledge of poisons. He was able to get his hands on many different texts, ranging from his own native village all the way to the sea islands of Kirigakure no Sato. The few venoms that earned his most attention were those that hit closer to home- rattlers and scorpions, various flora- although he always soaked up the information that was available for every other breed and foliage that he could lay claim to. He quickly began to amass a veritable library of information.
At one point, Kisoku discovered a scroll that told of a jutsu that allowed the user to breath a poisonous cloud, allowing the ninja a chance to escape. It was almost always used in the midst of battle, but seeing as Kisoku hated to fight, he noticed that it would also be helpful in case he needed cover to remove a patient from the field. He took an immediate interest in it, and trained during the days he didn’t spend with Kei.
The Dokugiri jutsu was incredibly difficult for him to master- many times Kisoku received a backlash of noxious gasses that landed him, more than once, into the medical center. He hated putting up with the amused looks and outright guffaws of the staff, but it was worth it in his eyes.
He worked overtime, attempting to master it as soon as possible. A B-ranked jutsu such as the one he had discovered took more concentration than Kisoku had ever been faced with. Along with the backlash, more than once he overdrew on his chakra and collapsed where he stood- on days like that, Kei was the one to find him and bring him back to his apartment. Kisoku never quite learned his lessons while training- again and again he reached the point of exhaustion, always promising himself that he would stop earlier the next time and breaking his own word accordingly. It was only when he was able to get through a week without some sort of minor (or major, as the cases sometimes were) poisoning that he finally stopped and decided he had either mastered it, or not. Kei was becoming too worried, and even his mentor was becoming concerned with all of his meddling with death.
He didn’t forget to practice with his senbon, however- those he trained, however miniscule the training, on a daily basis.
There were tiny targets hiding all around his home and workplace- at random intervals, Kisoku would attempt to throw a needle at one (doing so blindly at home) and discover if it hit the mark or not. He made sure to change the way he threw them- left handed, right handed, using a jutsu to spit them from his mouth. It made Kei uneasy many many times, and she never quite got used to him doing so.
Personality: At first, he seems really cold and callous. He doesn't open up to people, and is generally quiet and reserved. Incredibly patient, when he does open his mouth, it's usually an insult or a smart remark. He does not take well to liars, never lies himself, and cannot stand people who use others.
With the exception of Kei, of course. With her, he tries to be nicer and less temperamental...although he can't help slipping with the insults every so often. He DOES have a nice-guy side to him, though.
Other: He is a medic nin working at the hospital. His specialties are ranged, ninjutsu and defense.
