Ever since the first Sonic Adventure (or maybe even since Sonic CD), Amy has been chasing after Sonic. What does everyone think about this? Is it cute? annoying? creepy? Do you think she deserves to catch him eventually? Is Sonic just afraid of commitment, or does he really not like Amy that way? Are they a match made in heaven, or are they totally not right for each other?
I honestly don't know what to make of the situation. What do you guys think?

She's an obsessed stalker. 'Nuff said. In the real world, Sonic would get a restraining order smile
She seems more fixated than anything else - does she really know him? Or is she just worshipping an idealised fantasy?
If she's really interested, she should cool off a bit. Anyone that clingy & needy would be a big turn off, especially for someone who likes nothing better than to find a wide open space and break land speed records across it smile

I'm in agreement with Warnersister here.
Amy is indeed your stalker-type of fangirl. While I don't mind her exactly, I tend to hate those type of fangirls who squeal whenever they see their hero. She's a great character in her own way, but she needs to tone down her obsessiveness a lot and stop trying to push herself over Sonic. Maybe then she might get what she wants.

While I don't mind the pairing, I am a bit irked about Amy's downgrade in independence between the two Sonic Adventure titles (way to set that standard, Amy! : P).
For the most part though, I think Amy's eternal pursuit of Sonic just adds a lighthearted touch to the gradually darkening (or at least attempting to be dark) tone in the series. It's good in small doses alone, though...
As far as if the two are meant for each other... Considering the ages here, I don't think marriage should be thought about for quite a while. Maybe once Amy's pre-pubescent hormones calm down, perhaps.
Can't really speak much for Sonic's feelings on it, but logically if he were that creeped out by her, he'd be zipping away upon the first cries of "SONNIKU!!". He's at least fond of her, and really, she's only one of two characters who actually has feelings for him. It's nice to be wanted; if only by a stalker, I suppose. XP

I quite agree that it would feel out of place if they're shown to have a really deep relationship at this age. Of course Sonic's afraid of commitment; he's still young and focused on what he loves to do. As for Amy, it really is, as Sea-Salt Ice Cream puts it, those pre-pubescent hormones speaking. I don't believe at this age that she understands truly what the relationship she seeks from Sonic will be like. If (game) canon will ever allow us to see the characters "grow up" in this sense, I'm sure that's what will happen; Amy, truly loving him, will understand his nature more and learn that Sonic needs his space, and in return, Sonic would more openly appreciate Amy. :3 >>Caught in her DELUSIONS

She's a rabid fangirl that'll never stop tailing Sonic. It's creepy in a sense, but then again, what fangirl doesn't do that nowdays? rofl

Even though Amy is my favorite Sonic character and I find SonicxAmy very cute,I would have to agree. She seriously needs to tone it down >> I feel kinda bad for Sonic. How creepy would it be to have a squealing fangirl after you all the time?
As for their relationship,it's adorable but they need to do some growing up,first (that especially goes for Amy).
Now this discussion really makes me want to see, like,an epilouge type thing involving the Sonic characters. I wanna know what happens in the future!! @_@

As for the epilogue thing, i even wonder if sonic will ever truly marry anyone. he hates being weighed down.(remember that episode with Chris's yatcht?)

I think it's kinda creepy... Sonic hardly shows any affection, and she usually gets in the way of what he's doing. The most she ever does for me is add weird comedic, romantic, and friendship things to the game... like Sonic Rush and Adventure.

Who's gonna rock the place... Honestly, if I were Sonic, I'd find it pretty creepy. xd
I think though, if both of 'em grew up, it could turn out better. ...No one can touch this.

it's kinda creepy those 2 are not meant for each other at all plus, Sonic prefers to run around and have adventure not relax and have any relationship plus she's just too annoying for Sonic even though Amy is just lovable in her own way

Even disregarding the fact that Sonic just doesn't seem the relationship type, I'm really disappointed with the way that Amy's character was handled.
First Sega show her in Sonic Adventure, with a complete revamp in terms of looks and an entire narrative dedicated to self-realisation and weaning her off her dependency issues.
And then they spend every piece of media since turning her into an obsessed stalker with an anger problem. I liked the character and thought she had potential when she returned after Sonic CD - but Sega've really made her hard work to like since.
Whilst I respect the views of any SonAmy 'shippers here, I don't see why Amy's supposed to be even attractive to Sonic through all of that.

I don't like it.....not one bit.
She says things like 'My Sonic!' which makes her sound like a friggin claimer if you ask me.
In the future, I highly doubt they'll marry.

What they could do is mature Amy up a little bit. I mean, she I beleive is around the age when teens start to get a little bit of a clue about how to handle things.
But I guess Sonic Team and co are playing for the hunour value of how it works.
