Journal Entry 001 June 24th, 2007
Well, it seems that all the arrangements regarding my new appartment are done with. I have everything moved in that I thought necessary, and I went on a bit of a shopping spree for when the Sylph becomes a child. I bought it plenty of belongings, but I figured that we could go clothes shopping together. I won't have to take anything back, and it'll be.. bonding. Yes. I hope the sylph becomes a human soon, because it's strange referring to it as, well, and it. This is going to be my child, after all.
I'm still uncomfortable abound the altered senses. A child is going to be a handful regardless, but one sensitive to touch? I hope it's not as bad as I've worked myself into believing.

Journal RP 001 Just barely over a month from her first visit to Divinity and Vera was starting to get antsy. She had awaited a call from the meek receptionist Nikita every day since she had met him, and was starting to wonder if she had been on the receiving side of an elaborate hoax. While she had not contributed any money to the organization that could've been stolen, some of her nicest furniture had been moved into her apartment on the complex.
Of course, "nicest" meant "most expensive" when it came to Ms. Lachlan.
But her emotions were conflicting. At the same time Vera was as sure that it wasn't a scam of some sort -Nikita did not seem the type of person who could pull the wool over anyone's eyes, no matter how hard he tried, or how much he desired to. Regardless, Vera made a mental note not to underestimate the young man. She hated looking like a fool, and would avoid it at all cost, even if it made her look a little nosy or paranoid.
And what a fool she would look if she never did get a child. Human, Sylph; that was not the issue at hand. Vera had been so happy after she had come back from her appointment, leading her to call and tell her younger brother how she was "expecting". At first Owen had thought it was some sort of joke, but after some convincing he had become just as excited (if not more so than) she. The idea of becoming an uncle had all but left him, and having his own children was out of the question, and he very much wanted a child around to spoil rotten.
In fact, that was what had led Vera into her restless state. Just a few hours before hand, her little brother had called up, begging for a date when she's be bringing the kid home. Bowen had already bought gifts, and apparently holding onto them too long was having adverse effects. Like annoying phone calls.
It was nice that Bowen wanted to be a part of Vera and her child's life, but his excitement made it so much more.. real to her. She couldn't handle being let down again, and thus the sulking.
"Buck up," she grumbled to herself, looking around her rather bare living room from her seat on the second-best armchair she had left behind. Well, if anything Vera would just have to move herself into the apartment in Divinity's complex. maybe then she'd get some results, if she was constantly hassling them. While giving Nikita a hard time wasn't exactly something she would enjoy, he would probably complain to the higher ups about her, and maybe that would speed the whole process up a bit.
Oh well, the day was almost done. Vera would just have to get on it the next morning.

Journal Entry 002 November 13th, 2007
I'm sure it's normal that children have plenty of accidents, but it's starting to worry me just how frequently they seem to be occuring. Abel seems to have a new injury every day -admittedly mostly it's something like a paper cut, but it worries me regardless. I was told he'd be sensitive physically, so I thought he'd be more wary towards injuring himself. Maybe I interpretted it incorrectly, and he's more sensitive in a hemophiliac-like way.
It doesn't seem to bother him much, so I probably shouldn't fret too much. The only thing that he complains about is the cold, now that it's become so chilly. Over the weekend I took him out shopping for winter wear, and he hasn't mentioned it much after that.
Owen said he might drop off some gifts soon, and finally meet Abel. I'm starting to think that I should've kept him in the dark about this whole thing until Abel was older. He's going to spoil him rotten.
