This is a Private RP between karma monster, Aletea, and Casiopium
Setting : Divinity HQ, front office Weather : Windy, slightly overcast, and generally gray T he phone call had woken her up... in fact it'd rang a decent five or six times before she sleepily took hold of the reciever and stuck it against the side of her face. She'd -just- gotten to sleep, too. With a fleeting sigh and a voice thick with wearyness she slurred into the headset. "M mmhello?"
A few moments later she was wide eyed and sitting up in bed, looking more awake than she ever had in all of her life. The blankets flew off and she practically leapt out of bed with the headset despite whomever had been on the other line already hanging up. For a few moments she hurried around her room like that, wearing only her nighty. She finally pressed the off button and threw the phone onto the bed where it bounced once in the comforter and then stopped.
Casi didn't bother with getting dressed. She slid her feet into a pair of flipflops waiting by the door and jogged out across the compound toward the main Divinity HQ building. She reached the door going into the hallway that would eventually bring her into the front office. She rapped her knuckle on the wooden mailbox that was her own (an action that was quickly becoming something a ritual) and stopped outside of the door, reaching forward for the knob...

Actually living in the compund had made Vera realize just how impatient and excited she was about the whole Divinity situation. The phone call she received while eating her breakfast had not only spiked that excitement, but presented an overbearing amount of anxiousness as well. Bolting down the rest of her coffee, the blonde had made her way to the entrance to the compund quickly, thankful that Complex A was so close to it.
As she reached the building, she slowed her pace and made sure to tidy herself. This was a big day for Vera, and she wasn't going to look like a slob. What a horrid impression that'd make on the child, not to mention if any other Divnity employees would be there. The call she received had been from Nikita, so she figured he would be involved atleast.
Looking back up towards the door, she noticed something strange. Another person was entering the building.
"Casi?" she sidled over to her neighbor, clarifying it was her, "Good morning. You have business here now too, I assume?"
Too nervous to really say much else (and Casi looked even more tired than usual anyway, so not liek it'd matter), Vera walked into the building, and into the front office with her quite silently.

Nikita had been very determinedly focusing on his laptop, attempting to ignore the children. As a rule, he was nervous around people; and unfortunately, children were people. And he was made especially nervous by the fact that he didn't know how their guardians were going to react.
Twins? How was that even possible? But then, he didn't really understand very much of the mechanics that allowed Sylphs to come into being...and it wasn't like the higher ups had bothered to explain more then that these two red haired children were twins.
Looking up as the door opened, he managed a brief, nervous smile.
"Hello..."
((The children are now both under your guys' control heart ))

Casi looked toward Nikita first, realizing that she was still in her nightgown. She quickly side stepped to stand behind the much classier, more refined looking Vera.
Then her eyes slid to the children. They were sitting together on the floor, what looked to be a jumprope stretched out between them as they played some child-made up game. Casi remembered to -breath- and wondered why she was so excited and happy. Just earlier she'd been feeling like she was getting cold feet towards having a kid to look out for but.. these two were, for lack of better word, beautiful.
Both with dark red hair and from what she could see, deep blue eyes. They wore gray school-like uniforms and Casi gave a sleepy smile at how cute they seemed. She watched as the little girl reached out to take the little boy's hand and smile at him. She spoke, and Casi couldn't quite hear what she was saying, and then she brought his hand up to her mouth and...
...bit him. It wasn't simply a playful bite, or a pretend bite. It wasn't just a light thing, Casi saw the girl's jaw tense as she bit down -hard-. She gave a gasp of startlement, calling out to them in surprise. "Hey, don't!"

What on earth? There were two children. Raising an eyebrow, Vera glanced from the children to Nikita, then back. They were pretty kids, that could not be denied, and they looked as if they were getting along fine. But, as she strode over to where Nikita stood to have him explain why there were two of them, Vera reassessed that statement.
Startled by a sudden cry of pain, she jumped, then twisted back to see the children. Casi was telling the girl off, while the boy clutched at his hand which seconds ago had not been bleeding quite so much.
She hurried over to the boy and took his hand, "Nikita, I hope you have some bandages handy."
What a start to motherhood.

Nikita had been about to explain about the children, when he saw the girl bite that boy. She bit him! That alarmed him more then the guardians had, even - had the boy provoked her, somehow? He hadn't seen anything, but he'd turned to look at the guardians before it happened...
"Oh, ah - y-yes.."
Regaining his composure, he quickly began to rummage through the desk. There were a few cabinets in there - although he didn't keep paperwork there, of course - and they had some useful supplies. Some might consider it odd to keep bandages such as these in an office, but...you never knew.
The fact that they were the same sort of bandages on his hands might make one wonder about that.
Pulling them out, he rose and offered them to Vera.
He kept a wary eye on that girl; he didn't want to get bitten too.
"..Here you g-go."

Casi forgot she was in her nighty for the time being, striding over to stand beside Vera, looking down with a frown at the little girl. "Why did you do that?" She looked sleepy and confused.
The girl tilted her head back to look up at the woman standing behind her, blinking in surprise. She quirked an eyebrow, giving Casi a look as if to say 'you didn't know?'. Her voice was uneasily mature sounding despite the look of her age. It was still high and innocent from childhood, but it was the way she held herself, the way she spoke that made her seem older.
"Because I love him."
Casi felt a shiver run down her spine, definatly creeped out by the plain and simple way the girl said those words. She watched as the girl looked over at the boy with a doting smile.

As Nikita went through his desk to get the bandages, Vera rummaged through her purse. Finding some tissues, she wiped most of the blood off of the boy's hand. He had ceased making a fuss, and now peered at the bite almost interestedly.
Vera thanked Nikita as she took the bandage and fixed up the wound tidily. Well, she had heard some kids liked biting people, but she wouldn't have thought it was bad enough to draw blood...
"You don't bite people," she reprimanded, not about to hold stock with such a weird statement, "especially if you love them."
The boy smiled briefly at his sister, as if she had done nothing wrong, "It's okay~"
Vera frowned, but decided she would have to teahc whichever child she was caring for a lot about right and wrong at a later date. For now she was still rather confused.
"What's going on Nikita?"

Nikita decided that his desk was the safest place to be at the moment, what with scary children. The two guardians seemed to have it well at hand and, well...they were their children, afterall.
"Well...I d-didn't know until they came, but - apparently they're t-twins."
And they did look quite a bit alike, really.
"The b-boy is yours, Miss Vera.."
And shifting his gaze to the girl, and then Casi, he nodded to her, "And the girl is y-yours."
It would make more sense to give them one guardian, but...the guardians had already been picked. And the higher ups said to just keep them to the pre-scheduled guardians - and he wasn't going to argue with them, that's for sure.

Casi looked up as Nikita spoke, giving a sleepy expression of surprise at the information of them being twins. She looked back at the kids, faltering slightly as she was told she would be guardian to the little biter.
"Twins?" She moved over to stand beside Vera, closer to Nikita as though to get away for a moment from the two strange children. "Are you sure it's okay we.. uh.. each get one then?" She didn't want to seperate them...
...and she was also a bit leery. Her excitement had washed out a little, leaving behind a vaugly unpleasently nervous feeling. She watched as the little girl reached out to comfort her brother, intently looking into his face and down at his hand where small spots of red were seeping through the cloth. She reached down to press against where the bite marks were, looking up into her brother's eyes. A slow, happy smile slid across her features as she saw him flinch.
"Err... do.. do they have names, uh.. at least?" She turned away to look at Nikita, shoulders hunching forward slightly. Her hair was possibly even more mussed and wild than when he'd met her, making his own hair look tame in contrast.

Vera wasn't as suprised as she thought she'd be about the two kids being twins -they really did look a lot alike, and they seemed to get along well. Er, sort of, in a way that they would probably come to describe as "special", but really meant "damned odd".
"How are twins even possible?" The looked so human, it hadn't seemed strange until she really thought about it. Glacing at the once again, Vera smiled. Thank god she'd have the one that didn't bite people to show affections. However, she wasn't quite sure Casi was the best material for handling the girl, especially with those sleeping issues of hers.
"I don't want to go away from her!" the boy had apparently caught the jist of Casi's question to Nikita, and was clinging onto his sister's arm.
Vera smiled gently at the two of them, before trying to reason, "Well, you'll be living really close to eachother and can see eachother all the time." But the boy would have none of it and clung harder to his sister.

Nikita just shook his head, accompanied by a confused shrug, at Vera's question; he didn't even have the slightest idea. He knew the basics of how Sylphs became human - but it didn't make any sense for two of them to be born as twins. At least, he hadn't though it did. Obviously, someone disagreed with him.
"W-well, the higher ups said to k-keep to the designated guardians.." So, no; the only 'problem' with splitting up the children was them.
The blonde boy peeked at the children, attempting to reassure the boy with a nervous smile, "It w-won't be bad.."
Shifting his gaze back to Casi, he shook his head, "They d-don't have names until you n-name them."

Lillith protectivly wrapped an arm about her brother, leaning in close so they pressed cheek to cheek. She patted his shoulder lightly. "It's okay... see? We'll be close together. I won't let anything happen." She smiled at him and hugged him before turning fathomless blue eyes to Casi, looking at her almost expectantly.
Casi flustered, as she looked at the little girl. She hadn't really thought of names... she'd figured that the kids would come with them but it only made sense that they didn't. From the sounds of it... hadn't they been 'born' just recently? Casi cleared her throat, inclining her head slightly. It was eerie... how it floated up into her thoughts and immediatly seemed -right-. Not feeling too unlike she was naming a cat or dog, Casi timidly spoke up. "Uhh.. how... how about... Lillith."
The girl's expression broke out into a smile, making her seem bright and young and innocent. "Is that me? I like it."
Casi returned the smile warmly. Well... maybe the biting had been a one time thing. It'd been strange as hell but... didn't kids show their affection by doing strange things sometimes? Didn't little boys pull on the pigtails of little girls when they felt affection? She walked over and squated down in front of Lillith, reaching out to place her palm on top of her head. "I'm Casi... I'll be your.. err.." She balked at 'mother'. "I'm your aunt."
She wondered... which sense was the dominant and which was lacking for Lillith.. for both the children. But she felt it'd be rude to ask Nikita when they were present - or perhaps Lillith would tell her later, when they were alone.

About to continue protesting, the boy fell quiet at his sister's assurance. Returning the hug, he mumbled softly, "I believe you."
Vera watched the two with interest, contemplating a name for her own Sylph. Like Casi, she hadn't really thought about that part. After all, they were children, not babies. It seemed like they would already have names to her, for some reason. Well, plently of people used biblical names for their children, but Vera had never been religious and knew very few of the actual names. The ones she did know were pretty, but she was fairly sure that most of them had strange conontations to people who actually knew who they were.
"How about Abel?" Vera was pretty sure that the original owner of that name hadn't done anything too crazy.
Slowly, the boy tried it out, "Abel... Yeah, that sounds good." He smiled shyly up at her.
Vera switched her focus back to the quiet Nikita, hiding safely behind his desk, "So, is there any paperwork we need to fill out, or the like?" She was a little unsure about the proceedings, and so far it'd been rather informal. Informal was not Vera's strong suit; rather it was more like new territory.

"N-no...I'll take care of the p-paperwork."
All it really was, was inputting their new names, which Nikita took note of. He'd want to check later that he had spelled them right, but they seemed fairly simple. Right now, he wanted to go back to his apartment. Away from people. Or rather, away from those children - they were...odd.
"I'll, uh...g-go ahead and take care of that now. You're all free to g-go, now."
Nikita moved towards the exit then - taking a few moments to pack up his laptop.
