It was cold, looked like it was about to rain at any moment, and what did Abel want to do? Go outside and play. Vera wasn't sure whether it was just him "being a kid", or whether it was linked to his vaguely suicidal tendencies. In the end she decided that he was hoping there would be puddles to splash around in and relented to his wishes. Outside they would go.

Venturing onto the lawn in front of apartment building A, Vera wondering if there was a park in the Complex's premises. Abel seemed happy enough to roll around in the dirty grass (whilst wearing his brand new tailored jacket), but she was sure there must be a more appropriate place for the kids to run loose than everyrone's front yards. Sighing, she figured she'd take it up with Nikita at a later time.

"Now don't do anything dumb, okay? Stay close... I'm going to be right here reading." Casi set up a small folding chair on the front 'porch' of the house, really just a stone step before the front door, and sat down with a book in her hands.

Lilith ignored Casi, she'd immediatly seen her brother outside and made a bee-line stright for him. When she reached him she reached out, grasping his arm tightly just below the shoulder and yanked him upward, wrenching his arm just slightly. She smild as his face twisted, a soothing, loving smile. "I missed you, brother."

Casi watched with a worried, disturbed expression, deciding for once she'd be irresponsible and just let Vera deal with anything that might go on between the two siblings. She looked down at her book, already feeling her eyes droop just a little. The sun was so warm...

Tai loved the rain. It was something that she and Melvin disagreed about all the time. He was sure she'd get sick but Tai knew she wouldn't. She rushed him to Divinity today, while Melvin was making noise about visiting the inside home of Gil or even, god help him, Dmitreiv. Tai knew they wouldn't though, and soon she was splash around, laughing happily as her jacket and rain hat came off.

She needed to feel the drops on her face. She had too. Her eyes closed as she stopped, for once not noticing the two kids near her. She let her face tilt back and she just felt the rain falling all over her. Moments like this felt like nothing was the matter, nothing could ever hurt her.

Tai could always trust the rain. It never hurt her.

A brief wince, then Abel was beaming back at his sister. "I missed you too," he grinned happily, latching himself onto her arm, "But you told me that it'd be okay. Mommy let me play outside today, even though it's so cold." He shivered ever so slightly, as if to illustrate his point.

As if Abel playing out in the cold and dirt wasn't bad enough, now the monster child had emerged from its lair. Vera frowned when Lilith showed up, but besides a hardy yank on Abel's arm, she hadn't really done anything worth a through scolding. Perhaps Casi wasn't quite as inept a guardian as she appeared to be. Lilith seemed to have stopped biting at least -thankfully too, the bite she had given Abel took ages to heal thanks to his constant picking the scabs. Musing on this, Vera suddenly realized the arrival of two more children on the scene. A young girl who looked around the same age as the red headed twins, and an older boy. The girl was surely a Sylph, but Vera couldn't be sure about the boy. He was certainly older than the only ones she had seen so far.

"Sissy, look," Abel pointed out the obvious, suddenly quiet and shy, "There are more people."
