Ny
Vanguardian Cadet
MOOD: Wistful
ACTION: Letting Fysarius drag her offThere were so many of them here together again-!
Or rather: oof. There were so many of them here together again.
Ny wasn't
thrilled about how enthusiastic she felt to see so many of her comrades, given the situation, but she did undeniably feel a weird sense of... pride? To see them grouping up together to figure out what the heck was going on here. Her initial beaming smile at seeing her friends and allies quickly tapered off at the realization that meant they were
all stuck here in this uncertainty. And in all fairness, none of the Vanguard looked particularly enthralled by the scene change. It looked like there was even the potential for a scuffle to break out among them and some White Moon randos Ny couldn't place.
That was where she and Fysarius should be also. In a group with the rest of the Vanguard. Solidarity. Safety in numbers. If
anyone could figure out how to get back to Earth, it probably wasn't going to be the squabbling humans who seemed generally useless. The Vanguard had training for this kind of mission, in this kind of terrain.
They should stand as a unit when faced with unfamiliar circumstances… Ny didn’t care how well (or not) that precedent was set before. She stepped toward her friends, some dozen paces away.
-But Fysarius was trying to pull her in another direction, voice harsh and unrelenting, and she knew full well that he was growing
quite a temper toward those who’d been his ally for centuries.
Mostly unfounded, she thought, but she didn't blame him. A lot was new and different and overwhelming, and he'd always been prone to letting his emotions
exist outside of himself. Ny’s expression pursed, brows pinching and lips jutting out in a pout as she adamantly held her ground against his weight, fingers locked over his arm just as his were over hers.
Sometimes he was wrong, and it fell to her to set him back on track. He
was wrong here, in trying to… Go where? To do what? If they separated, they could be in even more danger. They shouldn’t set off away from the group at large!
…But it probably wouldn’t do either of them any good if she forced him toward the rest of the Vanguard, the 'party,' the humans, the robots… And he caused some scuffle about it. It seemed like a
distinct possibility that wouldn’t get either of them anywhere, and it could frankly be as dangerous as not. Perhaps if she gave him time, and they spared just a few moments to coordinate between just the two of them, it would work out better? Give him a moment to settle... So against her own wishes, she allowed herself to be tugged after him. Ny couldn’t help but look on toward the others, but…
Next time, maybe. After the initial shock of arrival had died down.
If it ever did.
The precedent for
that wasn’t great, either.
But they weren't the only ones distancing themselves from the group- they seemed to be the only
Vanguard stepping away from the party, but others were already looking to explore, so they weren't really 'alone,' in that regard. Ny let Fysarius guide her away, toward dimly-lit shadowed pathways.
